What I really enjoyed was how personable Nico was during my check-in. He was very informative, friendly and quick(but thorough)and most importantly professional. Everyone I encountered while I was there was! This was my first time renting a car in a few years and my interaction with Nico is still something I'm telling people about.The office manager was kind enough to call me on a SUNDAY to let me know that my rental agreement was nearing it's end and advised me what to do (my car was down the street being repaired after someone backed into it). I was even picked up down the street from where I was getting my car repaired and felt very safe during the short drive. Everything was a breeze and I really appreciate it! Rude and unhelpful staff. They overcharged us for our car rental by an extra day and when we contacted them they said we should expect a refund. We never received a refund after 2 weeks and called back. Was told it was not their issue and to call where we originally picked up the car. The issue had been escalated multiple times but apparently we are dependent on this location to make the adjustment and they seem reluctant to resolve the issue. Chelsea and her entire team at the Fairfax Pan Am Shopping Center were great from start to finish. Normally a small sedan driver, I needed the largest luxury SUV possible for a family road trip around Virginia. The Expedition Max I was promised two weeks ahead of time was perfect in both size and condition. I asked lots of questions and the staff answered all of them. The young woman who showed me the vehicle explained all the workings so that I felt confident the minute I turned on the engine. I wholeheartedly recommend the Enterprise office in the Fairfax, Virginia, Pan Am Shopping Center off Nutley Street. Super easy access to I-66, too. read more

Great experience! I needed a rental for 1 week in July and everything ran smoothly. Initially, I made arrangements for a compact car, and they gave me a Malibu. I really enjoyed it, even though it was larger than I am used to. Sadly, it smelled like cigarettes. I kept it for 3 days and drove with the windows down, but it became too awful to handle the odor. I called them, let them know I wanted to switch vehicles and they swapped it for a Honda compact type SUV. They were very apologetic. It was great. Wonderful customer service. I got a rental car here as my car was getting repaired. They are very short staffed the wait was unpelsant. Unfortunately I overfilled the gas tank by $45. The SUV was way bigger than mine so I didn't know when to stop the gas. The woman who helped me this Saturday at 9:12 am, I didn't get her name she was a brunette with blue eyes, said she would see what she could do. Which led me to believe that she could help me. When she came back in from Inspection she told me she couldn't help me because it was a rental done from my insurance. Then I asked if could she see I overpaid and she said she did. Then when I mentioned I was disappointed she said that enterprise doesn't have to reimburse in general and honestly that felt like insult to injury. They will charge you top dollar if you don't return the vehicle at where the gas tank was and take your money if you accidentally overfill which isn't really nice to do. I found this as a form of taking from a customer and it doesn't sit right with me. Lesson learned don't put more gas even by accident they will gladly take your money. read more

Update: sent an email last week and still no response, absolutely terrible support. Insurance and the branch has miscommunication on when the car should be returned and no employee ever called me a couple of days ahead like they told me they'll do when I was picking up the car as the employee didn't know when I'm supposed to return it and just left me for 3 weeks until I called because something was weird about the duration without call and basically insurance stopped paying after the 6th day and left a note saying I still got another month but apparently that's not what they meant and they understood them wrong and made me keep it for another 2 weeks until I contacted the manager Matt who said he'll figure it out and didn't charge me for the 2 days and basically insurance said they'll only cover a portion and enterprise charged me 442$ and when I returned the car I made sure to let him know that it's not my fault to get charged for anything and he said he understood and will figure it out and here we are a month later nothing solved even when I called another time and the same "we'll figure it out". Attached is a picture from an employee that shows when I'm supposed to return the car like I said which was month after. If one of the sides messed up they shouldn't charge me but figure it out themselves absolutely disgusting service since they also don't give you a call to warn you you were supposed to return the car and check if you want to extend. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. Their inventory is awful. The customer service is non-existent. I arrived to find a massive line out the door and only one employ on duty. None of the cars were cleaned or ready for customers - so with each person serviced they had to clean each car, further delaying everyone. They then rented me a car with obvious mechanical issues (required an oil change upon starting it and as I drove it it became clear it needs new breaks and rotors) and informed me that if I wanted a nicer car I would have to accept one that needed new break pads. Went to the wrong enterprise the one I went to said they would call and text the right one to let them know I was coming but they didn't. This was all my fault for going to the wrong place so I called the Fairfax location they said they will stay open an extra few mins for me. They were awesome for doing so the gentlemen who worked Saturday 3/19 really came in clutch and they were very nice about it. They stayed open an extra 20-25 mins cause of my stupid self. No other rental place could help me. They said they didn't have cars and that I had to take it a tire shop and replace the tire. On the way home something told me to stop at the Fairfax Enterprise. Unethical and fraudulent business practices occur at this location of Enterprise. I hope this review serves as a warning to others. I was not given an option except to rent through this location as they partner with the collision center that was working on my personal vehicle. I did not think to check reviews on enterprise for this location but just went ahead and rented a car. First, the car I was given was absolutely filthy, both inside and out. I asked "Haley" to have it washed and she said their "hose was broken" and given my need to get to work, I accepted the vehicle. Second, I was informed that I should drop it off at the collision center when the work was completed on my car as this is the way they do things. I dropped it off as I was ordered to do by enterprise -- big mistake. I received a call 4 days later from an employee named "King" at enterprise accusing me of causing extensive damage to the vehicle and informing me that they would be filing a claim against me. Which they did. I was shocked. He spoke to me as if I were a criminal. The car was damage free when I dropped it off. He further lied and stated it had been picked up "an hour" after I had left it at the collision center (it was 4 days kat Thankfully my insurance company became heavily Involved on my behalf and investigated the matter. They filed a complaint against enterprise when evidence emerged that they were scamming me and my insurance carrier. I ultimately received a letter from enterprise saying they were dropping the claim. It would have certainly been more appropriate to send an apology letter given the stress this put me through. Be forewarned and do not rent from this location. read more

This location is great. The staff AND management is AWESOME!! Marianna went above and beyond, i left a sentimental item in the vehicle. From reaching out to the customer currently in the vehicle, to checking aallll around the shop and garage numerous times TILL she found them. Both managers helps so much. Also only reason i even went there was cuz i had a problem with the vehicle i was in. They were VERY helpful with getting me into a vehicle i was more happy with, and with doing it quickly/conventiently. They had a car waiting for me when I got there but then as we were doing the walk through suddenly they weren't able to give it to me and I had to wait while they cleaned and prepared a whole new car. Fine. I don't mind waiting except that it almost made me late for work. Then when we did the walk around for the second car I pointed out multiple dents and small dings in the body of the car and noticed that they hadn't been recorded in the hand held device they carry around. I asked the guy to please make a note of them. Turns out he did not. Now they are charging me for the damages even though I pointed them out before I took the car and saying to bad, you signed the rental agreement. Almost $1800's they want to charge me for damage that I pointed out to them ahead of time. The person who checked out the car, conveniently no longer works there and cannot corroborate. No one there has been any help or shown any concern what so ever except to repeat that I signed their agreement. Whatever you do make sure you take detailed photos and do not trust that they are actually taking note of anything during the walk through. read more

My experience was not good. They wasted my time, their own time and provided no car. Did not seem aware of Covid-19, either. My experience is described below, then two suggestions. Called on the phone. Was told they had cars. So, dropped what I was doing and drove over. The place was jam packed with people sitting in chairs and arguing at length. Waited a few minutes for another party to depart, then waded into the office. Was told that there were no cars. No one benefited. Instead, time was wasted. First suggestion is somewhat obvious: Do not promise a car you can not deliver. Second suggestion is more subtle: Instead of encouraging folks to sit inside the small lobby, suggest they wait outdoors, where physical distances can be maintained. To implement this, remove the lobby chairs and consider outdoor seating, such as a bench. Or, set up an outdoor desk. Packing people together indoors for extended time periods is ideal for the virus to make its way from host to host. read more

I made a reservation over the phone for an SUV and at my arrival I found the front desk attendant yelling at a customer, I figured it wouldn't turn into an issue for me because I already had a reservation and didn't really need to discuss prices/options... As I ask for my car I get a laugh and "we got no cars" so I show my reservation number and the front desk attendant insist they have no cars and asks me when I made the reservation. I replied saying I made a reservation over the phone that morning and I was told the car was on the lot and would be ready upon my arrival. She laughed again and told me "no car" and blamed me for making a reservation the same day I needed the car, but I could wait there half hour and see if anyone returns one. "Maybe a car will show up". It doesn't happen often to find such rude people but this one was an extreme case, I asked for her business card and turns out she was the "assistant manager". Enterprise, do not laugh at your customers and do not blame customers for making legitimate reservations and receiving confirmation/availability. read more

Enterprise is amazing. I got a rental with my rental coverage with insurance. Getting the rental was a breeze but something wrong happened that night after I got it. The rental was a Chevy Silverado and the tire blew out when I was on 495. No thanks to Geico's tow and emergency coverage, I put my trust in Geico but I kept getting the runaround for someone to come out to help me change the spare (it's a new car rental, no idea how to change the spare on my own). After literally waiting over four hours being stranded on the loop exit where cars are zooming by, it's dangerous, no help arrives. Honestly was napping on trust late night and no assistance. I YouTube how to replace a tire, super clutch, the gentleman advises very accurately and precisely each step required to replace. I replace the tire on my own. The following day, I call the Enterprise branch and what a welcome surprise I ask for the branch manager Dean, but he's busy so I talk to Abdullah who informs me that Enterprise will comfortably switch the vehicle out for me and not to worry about cost of new tire or half the gas that was spent literally while being a mobile vagabond on 495 for what felt like years. This is one of those places I am glad I waited for a long while before reviewing. At the core, this is an Enterprise local outlet that is also very close to another such outlet. According to Enterprise's own marketing material, almost 95% of the US population has a local Enterprise location easily accessible. Now, my experience here started out great, but then has slowly deteriorated in quality over the course of the last couple months. I rent from them almost every weekend, but am seriously considering changing that. In terms of service, the people that work there are pretty nice and helpful, if not often times deceptive, but that's to be expected of car rental places. My problem is with the maintenance of the cars. A lot of their fleet has been driven a lot of miles and is just in a bad state. Often times, they don't even clean cars before renting them out to the next person. My last rental car's engine sounded like it was going to explode. I hope they can get their act together in terms of maintaining cars and honoring coupons used for online reservations. Once they do that, I might consider re-evaluating them, but until then, I am going to try to rent from one of their competitors. read more

In the past, I have used Enterprise (but via their nearby route 50 location on the way to Fair Oaks) and have been quite pleased. However, this location partners with a body shop that I had to get work done at. Everything was business as usual: they picked me up and coordinated the rental at the office. I signed off on the estimate at an agreed upon rate and all was good. I would return the car to the shop and the shop would call it in and I would be charged for only the amount of time I had the car out. This was not the case, however, when I checked my credit card statement a week later to find that I was charged for having the car out for six days (three days longer than in actuality). I immediately called their office and they told me their records indicated differently. I called the body shop and they checked their receipts of when I picked up the car and confirmed that I was correct. They called Enterprise and after some discussion, Enterprise called me to tell me that I would be refunded the correct amount so that I would only be charged for three days. A week later, I find that this was not the case and that I was still being overcharged by $82. When I called Enterprise to dispute this, I was given the run around -- left two messages as I was told that the manager would return my call - which never happend. I emailed their corporate office and though the automated response told me I'd hear back from them within 24 hours, I still have yet to hear back from them (nearly two months later). I will never use this Enterprise branch again as they are crooks. read more

I couldn't believe it; it was as easy as it is in the commercials! NO LIE! I dropped my truck off for service and someone from enterprise there in under ten minutes to pick to up. I am dropped off at the front door and another gentleman hold the door open for me. I am greeted again by another man behind the counter and they know who I am. The paper work is ready. Walk around the car, sign and initial 15 times and here's the keys! The whole thing took about ten minutes and they even scraped the ice off the car and left me the scraper. I did find an empty cup, trash, in the console but it wasn't leaking so I wasn't too concerned but again this ties in with what Saurabh G. had to say. So far, thumbs up, we'll see if it continues. After reading the first review for this place, however, I thought twice. I have been holding out on giving up my truck because of the snow and rescheduled at least twice but still the only car they had for me was a Seabring or a Fusion and the fusion was not cleaned. I had to get to work so I picked the Seabring and just hope it doesn't snow too much this week? I guess that's the plan. I'll hold my breath. read more

I've used them four times in the last 3 year's(4 car accidents not my fault). The last time was in April and the rental they gave me smelled like cigarette. I'm not a smoker so it really bothered me. But, 5 air freshners later, I returned the car once the repairs to mine were done. The associate assured me it smelled like that after their cars are disenfected and cleaned(I doubt it). Well, After making reservations for a premium vehicle a few weeks in advance it wasn't until the day of my rental pick up that I was told they didn't have any premium vehicles. Had it not been for me calling them prior to my arrival I still wouldn't of known until I showed up. The hassle I was given just trying to get a vehicle that was already reserved in advance was a challenge needless to say I was speaking with a manager at this location who was also told the rental would be returned to my location and not their location which was about 50 mile radius and the manager confirmed a one way fee would be charged which was around 30-50 dollars and ended up being $100. Then to call them and discuss was told their system was down and they would call me back today. Well the day is about over and still no call. Good customer service is hard to find these days so when you truly receive that I always appreciate it. When I asked them whether it was the distance of the ride to the body shop or the return of the vehicle that was the problem, they said the ride to the body shop was the issue. My reply was that I would haul a cab to the body shop but I'd like to return the vehicle to avoid having to drive to another Enterprise location. Bunch of scammers! I went there next day i had my car accident. Told me i have to add additional insurance because rental car is not cover from my insurance. Then when I returned rental car, they are saying my insurance is covers except the one i signed up for(additional insurance). They will not refund my money back WTF! Top of that their prepay fuel program is BS! Program is about paying half of gas price than what normal gas station charge. So instead of paying $3-$4 a gallon, they will charge $2 a gallon. I returned rental car with more than half tank of gas. Guess how much they charge me? FULL TANK OF GAS cost me extra $50!!!! I hope I helped them with their kids college fund! -__- read more

This is by far the best experience I've had from any business establishments. I dropped off my rental car after two weeks of usage while my car was in the shop. I received a call from the staff regarding some clothing items they found in the trunk. I was shocked by the call as I had thousands of dollars worth of dry cleaning clothes and a shiatsu massage chair in the trunk. When I picked up my items, the entire staff was wonderful and even helped me carry my clothes to my car. We had our truck die on the middle of 495 and after that harrowing experience we needed a car asap because I am here on contract in VA. Wr got a ride to Enterprise after checking the rates on Kayak.com and didn't even know if they would have a car for us. Brandon took care of us, checked on any available discounts (AAA) an extra $10 off a day from Kayak and we had our car and got me back to orientation in less than an hour! Brandon even personally added air to the tires in the pouring rain without us asking. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Not very professional service. I know they hire young people straight out of college but they need better sales training. I looked online to book the most inexpensive car because I needed one for 7-10 days while my car was in the shop. The online price quoted me about $34 a day which seemed fair. I then called them to ask if I could extend my rental to 10 days if need be and they said yes. I gave all of my information over the phone except credit card. They were nice enough to pick me up from the auto body later in the day. When the guy was ringing me up he said I was getting a Hyundai Santa Fe (a small SUV, not what I asked for), and the total for 10 days was $497. I was like wow that's a lot higher than the quote I saw online, why? He said it was all the taxes and fees and gave me the breakdown. So many fees JEEZ. Then he asked if I wanted insurance. I said no thanks I only live a few miles from here I should be ok. Then, instead of explaining why he recommends insurance he said "You know the Hyundai Santa Fe is worth $50,000, do you have that much money if you total it?!?! #1 a used Hyundai is never worth $50,000 and #2 that's not how it works. I cancelled my reservation and will take Ubers and Lyfts for under $30 a day. read more
