Worst car rental experience! Due to an accident, I needed a rental and this location was the closest to the body shop to which I need to drop my car off at. I was told multiple times by the employee of this location that the day of my pick up, I would be getting a luxury SUV. The day before my pick up, I verified once again and was told the luxury SUV would be a Q7. The day of the pick up I arrived at 4PM, and was told no luxury SUV is available. They stated I was supposed to show up at 12PM but we had not agreed on a time the day before? After trying to find other locations in the area with luxury SUV. The agent came out and said they have located a luxury vehicle for me. Due to being short on time and needing to drop off my vehicle to the body shop, I agreed to take the vehicle. The vehicle was extremely dirty inside/out and smelled heavily of smoke. Again, due to time crunch, I drove off. Unable to stand the state of the car, I resorted to getting it cleaned from my own pocket and even purchased air freshener so the smell could go away. Two days in, the tire light and the vehicle's oil change light came on. I called the rental location and was told it's perfectly fine and I can drive the vehicle as normal. I'd attempted to get replacement as I was completely fed up with the issues this rental was causing me and was told they don't have any vehicle available. I called multiple other locations and kept hitting the same wall but when I went online to research the location for rental they had multiple options available for rental. In my opinion, if you are renting due to an accident, they give you the ones that are not getting rented. Regardless, the state of the rental was just unacceptable. Do better. By far this has been the worst experience of my life with a rental company. read more

I don't like posting bad reviews especially since I worked on the other side of the counter and understand how enterprise operates. The Customer service I have received recently has been very disappointing! The employees contacted me late at night regarding my rental and contacted me on Sunday worrying that they might not going to get the car returned!! They even went as far as calling my boyfriend, who was not listed on the contract because they didn't want me to steal their car. This was very upsetting especially since I always communicated promptly with them even at ten at night when I received text messages from them. Additionally, I used a credit card for the rental, not a bank card, making this behavior even more subpar. I returned the car in perfect condition and ended up paying nearly $1,000 for just over a week's rental. They received all of the money they needed to pay for my rental. I was not completely satisfied and will take my business elsewhere unless they are the last option. The entire experience was stressful and disappointing which Jack Taylor would frown upon!! Next time, I will definitely choose a different rental car agency where I am not treated so poorly and they appreciate me. read more

Steer clear of this place. They take your reservation and then don't have the vehicle you reserved. I rented a vehicle to travel over the Christmas holiday and they completely screwed me. My family is in the process of moving from Virginia to Texas and shipped our personal vehicles versus driving them. As a result, we decided to rent a vehicle from Enterprise Rent-A-Car which was conveniently located near our hotel in Falls Church. I reserved the rental car using USAA's website and had Enterprise pick me up from the hotel. I was initially unable to identify the Enterprise driver because the individual who came to pick me up looked like a "regular Joe" without an Enterprise employee's t-shirt on. After recognizing there was only one guy pacing back and forth in front of the hotel looking confused, I approached him and asked if he was from Enterprise. The drive to Enterprise was pleasant and we made it there in less than 10 minutes. I did not have to wait long for my car, but was very DISAPPOINTED at the condition of the Ford Escape which was "supposed" to be an upgrade from USAA. If this was an upgrade than I suppose a step down would have been a cardboard box with four plastic wheels. I was actually told the staff was cleaning the car while I waited, but I immediately saw that the seats were visibly dirty, the windows were smeared, the car needed vacuuming, and the interior had mud streak marks inside. The attendant saw my eyes looking over the car and she gave me the, "try to ask for another car" look so I I can tell you that you'll either "wait for an hour" or be told "there is nothing else available". Had I not overheard that the Stanley Cup had brought extra guests in town, I would have just waited for a new car (yucky). I had to go back to the hotel and wipe down the interior with cleaning supplies. It's such a shame when mediocre service becomes the "expected" -- enough already. read more

I got into a car accident and my car has to be in the shop for about 4 weeks. Liz and her team came to my rescue, they came to pick me up from the auto body shop and got me a luxury sedan. I was happy at first to drive a BMW 330i for few days, but it bothers me that the seat is just too low... I am used to drive an SUV. I called Liz and she switched me to a Jeep Grand Cherokee. PART 1: This place seems to be run by dysfunctional young adults that genuinely don't care about anybody. Our insurance carrier used enterprise for an auto claim. We were picked up at the bodyshop by Enterprise, the representative was very nice, joked with us about being groggy/sleepy in the morning, trying to be on a water fast and how she was trying to avoid bagels that her manager had brought for them that morning, a little chitty-chat and some laughs and giggles between us is fine and welcome. We were sat in their lobby, initially they were going to give us a Buick Enclave but instead one of the reps said "Give them this one because they pay us more for that" I am assuming she was referring to my insurance carrier paying Enterprise more. They gave us a BMW which would make sense because the vehicle involved in the claim was a BMW. We waited for about an hour in their lobby because they said the vehicle had to be cleaned (That's fine). When we did the walk-through for the vehicle we noticed a couple of scratches and dings already on the car and they said those were considered normal wear and tear, we took photos of them regardless because we didn't want to be held responsible for them. When signing the paperwork, I was asked about insurance for the vehicle and they said it was an initial charge, I asked if my current insurance vehicle carries over to the rental and the response I received was "I don't know, you guys won't be having the car for that long it seems so I wouldn't worry about it." I'm a safe driver and my car was just being fixed for a small scratch and we were going to barely drive the rental anyway we followed their advice. After our vehicle was fixed at the bodyshop and we dropped off the rental, I was waiting for my $50 deposit to be sent back. After a few days I noticed my account received a $28.90 refund from Enterprise. When I called them and asked why the full $50 refund was not sent back, they kept providing me mixed answers. Initially when you call them they say "Thank you for calling enterprise please hold" after being on hold for 20 minutes. The representative answers the phone and sounds like she is asleep, I believe her name is Kiara and I think she is the same person that we were joking with when we were picked up because she literally always sounds tired like she just woke up. Her initial robotic response was "You need to call your bank if you haven't seen the refund." I told her I did see the refund but it was not for the full deposit. She then said the deposit was not refunded in full because of tax. I said how can tax be $21 on a $50 transaction because that's how much the deposit was for? she said "I don't know, that's just how it works" I asked to speak to a supervisor and she claimed to be the manager. I said I would like to know why my deposit was not refunded in full, I received no notification that I would only be receiving a partial refund, no bill or anything and she said "Like I already told you, there was tax that was taken out" I said "do you yourself pay 42% in tax?" she got upset and hung up on me. I called back and got a different person this time, I believe her name was Alanis or Kaitlin (I genuinely don't remember because this is so ridiculous) I explained the issue to her again regarding the deposit and I told her Kiara hung up on me and I would like to speak to a supervisor. Alanis/Kaitlin told me that Kiara is an assistant manager to which I said "Are you kidding me? a manager shouldn't just be hanging up on people" Alanis/Kaitlin was very apologetic and said that the refund was not processed in full because my insurance was taking time to cover a sales tax for the $50/day vehicle, she then said she processed a refund for $21.10 I said thank you and exited the call. About a week later I call them in the morning again because I haven't seen the 2nd supposed refund that was processed. Alanis answered the phone, I explained the issue to her and she said she will look into it and placed me on hold. After being on hold, Kiara answered again (I know it was her because she sounded sleepy as usual). I said I am calling to check on status of a refund and her immediate response was to call my bank. I asked to speak to a supervisor again and she claimed to be a manager again. I said I spoke to someone last week and they said they processed a 2nd refund for $21.10 to refund my $50 deposit in full, she said there were no notes about a 2nd refund being processed and that if I am not seeing a 2nd refund then I need to call my bank. I said I need to speak to a supervisor please and she said she is a manager again to which I responded "How are you a manager if you don't know what's going on, you don't know how to talk to customers and solve problems and you sound sleepy all the time whenever someone talks to you" she got upset and said "FYI watch your tone with me" to which I said "You got it, but help me solve this problem and talk to me like i'm an actual person" read more

If I could give zero star, I would! The worst service ever! Spent 1 hour at first, and 2 hours second time. First time they gave me a smoked car for pregnant woman, use a air freshener to make it smell good. And 5 days car just stayed in garage - could not use it until husband took it back in. I have no idea how I drove back to enterprise and still alive! And for exchange I had to wait another 2 hours. They give me a car with tire pressure sign! Unsafe car for pregnant women. No comments! And they closed after that I said that this car is unsafe, give me a NORMAL NO SMOKING CAR! And they were out of cars.... ugggghrrrr... Most of the staff are unhappy and put little effort in customer service. I will not be going back to this site again. After giving you a smokey car, they act like you are bothering them when you say something. They also give you cars with 1/4 tank of gas. It is near impossible to give back a car with that much gas so you overfill or get charged. I could go on and on about the long wait, cars not ready, no ability to give you an invoice, etc. Do yourself a favor and select a different branch. read more

I needed a large SUV drive to pick my kid up from college because my personal vehicle is too small. When I rent I usually pick up from the airport because of better prices and vehicle selection. This time,for some reason, the neighborhood enterprise had a better deal. The staff, including the manager Becca (i think), went out of their way to stop whatever they were doing to help as soon as I walked in. I would suggest renting with a different company. I left my $250 headphones in the passenger seat of my rental car and when I went back the next day they were nowhere to be found. They were not still in the car or in the lost and found. When I called back a couple days later to see if they had been turned in the employee who took my call said "they had other headphones in the lost and found box, so why would they have turned those in and not yours?". At that point I realized I would not be seeing my headphones again. I was able to look passed the fact that my rental car reeked of cigarette smoke (even though they say no smoking) but having something stolen like this without any offer of recompense is pretty insulting. read more

Every time I interact with this place I get more annoyed. My car broke down on the highway so I decided to get a rental here thinking it would be easy- wrong. First, the first Enterprise didn't tell me I could use a paystub with my Debit/Credit card and so I went home to get a utility bill. I had the paystub in my purse as I had gotten paid that day. Second- They forgot to run my credit card. Third- They gave me a car with less than 1/8 a tank of gas Fourth- I got a flat tire after hours and was on hold for 30 minutes twice and then transferred. Fifth- the guy at the tire place told me that normally he has to do something special and that I shouldn't count on getting reimbursed. that didn't make me feel too good Sixth- I just called now to change the credit card I am using and have to go get a money order and felt as though the rep had no understanding of what the issue was or how to help me. I can deal with all the other stuff but this rep right now with his lack of understanding and inability to suggest anything less tedious just really pissed me off. They may be the cheapest but good grief you get what you pay for. My advice- go on the web- get a car from someone else at the airport. read more

Two other times I have visited this location and had a great experience but this time I feel like I was taken advantage of. I went in to get a rental car after hitting a deer and the lady who was issuing me the car asked whether or not I wanted insurance through Enterprise. I specifically said no and she told me to sign the forms. When the three week period was up they called me to check and see how my car was doing and I told them it will be ready on time. When I returned the car they said everything was fine and was no mention of any charges. Flash forward 3 weeks when I get the credit card bill. I was charged 400 dollars for the insurance through Enterprise. My dad and I called and they said I agreed to the insurance and they even called to ask me to extend it. That was a lie. They called to see if the car would be done on time and I said yes, there were no words of an extension mentioned. I feel like I was tricked. I got duped into paying 400 dollars via their insurance. I had to place my car in the shop for repairs on a Saturday morning. The call center reserved me a car prior to the location opening. Upon arrival I was greeted by Nick. He squared me away in the nick of time ;-) see what I did there lol anyhoo....He was very pleasant and helpful. The air pressure light was on and they were low on staff. He took the car to the back himself and brought it back with the heat on; it was really chilly that morning. Therefore, i was very greatful for the gesture. Very disappointed in enterprise car rental I got a car rental on Monday. I was told that the extra insurance would only cost me an extra 12.99. So I got the insurance. And the later on I would out that it was a per day cost .. When I went back to tell them that I didn't know this was a daily cost. They refused to give me refund. It's only been 4 days. So far I still have another 5 days on the rental. The manager didn't even talk to us. The guy who was there just said that the manager is not gonna refund you guys. DECEPTIVE SALES by (1) claiming a lowest possible online/offline at any nearby Enterprise store that was proven wrong by checking its website, upon which a price was adjusted to prevent renters from walking out and by (2) claiming an impossibility of extending a rental period by renewing a rental agreement to keep the terms and conditions for the original rental agreement that was proven otherwise as soon as renters checked its website and decided to return the vehicle to rent a vehicle at another nearby Enterprise store. INSURANCE FRAUD by (1) denial of description of damage, (2) omission/refusal to provide photo for comparison to knowledge & photo evidence by a renter, (3) refusal to provide statement regarding how the damage is determined to be result of an event occurred during rental period prior to drop-off, (4) refusal to communicate with renter for verification of information, (5) claiming a damage outside knowledge of renter without verification, (6) charging a credit card for maximum amount deductible without description or explanation or proof of damage or proof of estimate that neither fits the cost of damage claimed by Enterprise nor fits the cost of damage that could have gone unnoticed by a renter while refusing to communicate with the renter. Of many issues spotted that indicated potentially deceptive and/or fraudulent business practice with suspected involvement of false or at least misleading information by Enterprise Rent-a-Car at this location, we forward all of our visitors to use the Tysons Corner store to be able to obtain our assistance in their travel plans. read more

WORST RENTAL PLACE EVER. Not only did they try and pin previous damage from another car renter on me when I returned the car. I left a card in the car and called about it the day after I realized I had left it there. They assured me numberous times by numerous employees that when the car was returned I would be given a call and wasnt now somehow in the period of the cars return even though there was a note in the file the people wernt able to find it and Im assuming that just someone along the way threw it out. This place is corrupted. they took my credit card and knew I have insurance already for my car to be in shop, they gave me crappy dirty car , since my car took long to be fixed, they charged me insurance liability on top without my authorization and rip me off then got money from my insurance as well for rental. I went to shop, they all incompetent denied the charges that I declined, they lied they called me told me, they never told me anything about liability insurance on the first day I rented either. My experience is eerily similar to Molly K's... I dropped off the vehicle that was rented for me (by the person who hit me's insurance company) after I was in a vehicle accident. There was no damage. The next day I received a very rude phone message from the store manager informing me that I had damaged the vehicle. When I called he was even ore rude. The insurance company agent called to be able to review the vehicle - it was already gone and repaired. Enterprise's attitude is it's all my fault - period. I'm trying to resolve it, the insurance company is trying to help. But, Enterprise sees dollar signs. Funny thing is the insurance agent I've been working with told me that another customer three days later had the same issue. As did the young woman at the body shop where my vehicle was repaired (same week). Sounds like this is standard operating procedure or very odd coincidence.
