Knowing that I was going to file a claim with my insurance company for the loss, I informed a manager at drop off what happened just in case my insurance company asked if I had informed them. This manager was so nice. He said I should enter a lost and found ticket with enterprise so that I could give my insurance company proof that I informed them. The branch also called me later saying that they were pulling out the center console and seats to see if they could find it for me! Unfortunately, the car design probably made the ring fall further down, but the effort of this team went above and beyond my expectations. I encourage you to support this business if you need a rental car at MKE airport.

    DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE This was not only the worst car…read morerental experience I've ever had. It's the worst company I've ever dealt with! FYI, Enterprise and Alamo are the same company. This Milwaukee Airport location gave me a car that was 300+ miles overdue for service. There was a mechanical problem and the only solution was for me to call a tow truck and get an Uber to where I needed to go. To add insult to injury, after dealing with this, they wanted me to drive the car back to the airport to have the oil changed! The service rep then told me to compensate me, he would extend the Rental for 3 days, to make up for the 3 days I could not use it. What he did NOT DISCLOSE, was that there was an additional $225.00 charge! Since they had my credit card, they just added it to my bill, despite my disagreement! Stay away from this Alamo/Enterprise location!

My rental trick was to reserve the cheapest car weeks out before because odds are and past history the car won't be available because car rental companies are w#ores and sell out the cars to the first person regardless of your reservation and they have to give you some car and usually a better car. I reserved for an economical Nissan Sentra or equivalent weeks before and low and behold when the day came no economy car was available so I would have to take a Buick SUV out a new 2025 Toyota Camry hybrid for the economy car price. Yep the Camry hybrid would work at max of 485 mile's range with my last fill up. Construction traffic made me 20 minutes late dropping the car off and into an extra day change and they were so cool to back time the drop off time and not charge me the extra day change, fu#king awesome when everyone bleeds you dry for every penny. Overall my experience was outstanding and the customer service was top notch, this will be my preferred car rental company in the future because the customer satisfaction is top priority.

I had a reservation, but that didn't help. They wouldn't allow me to rent a car because of a drivers license issue, even though it was well within their policies which were right in front of me on paper, and I even offered to log into the government DMV website to verify my drivers license. But the manager/supervisor was inconvenienced that he was called to the front desk late at night, so he simply refused to follow policy. Had to get a hotel for the night and rent a car the following day through Turo. I tried reaching out to Hertz, regional manager and customer service, and sent an email two months ago with no response.

I told them that is not the same class as an F150 and is not "standard." We rented for a long road trip and would now get way less gallons per mile. They continued to use the "or similar" and when I asked the one person who looked like he knew trucks if can honestly say that a 2500 is similar to a 150, he did not (he shook his head and looked down). I was then told, "We don't have any trucks that size in our fleet," referring to a 150/1500. I told them if they don't have any trucks that size in their fleet then they shouldn't be advertising that they do. Again, crickets. I asked for a discount because we will be paying so much more for gas. Nope. I asked for a smaller vehicle. They "offered" to rent me a small SUV for $200 more, almost doubling the cost of the rental. I have since read other reviews online and see other instances of them baiting-and-switching. DO NOT RENT HERE.

    Horrible Experience…read more I had a rental from a different (non-airport) Enterprise location and was driving North through Wisconsin on Sunday 9/21/25 when the car broke down about 50 mi North of Milwaukee. Being a Sunday, the closest Enterprise location that was open was the MKE airport location. Their roadside assistance (Urgently) arranged for a tow truck and an Uber to get me to the airport. When I arrived at the airport, I had to wait in line at the rental counter and then again out at the Kiosk/office in the garage, only to be told that I had to wait for the broken-down car to be received and "get eyes on it". Through the whole process to this point I was never told that I would have to wait until the was received and checked in before they would give me a replacement. In my view, the tow truck that they arranged had the car so once I arrived at the rental location, I would be provided with a replacement. But this branch was unapologetic and would make absolutely no exception. They forced me to wait 2 more hours until the tow truck brought the car to their other facility. In fact, they didn't have any information about my rental or that I would be showing up there to get a replacement. My trip was already going to be delayed by about 3-1/2 hours due to the mechanical issue in the car that Enterprise rented me. But because this location had no consideration for my situation, the whole delay was 5-1/2 hours. Very disappointing.

To make matters more confusing, the Budget rental kiosk was closed and customers were redirected to the Avis counter, so this review is really based on our interaction with the Avis staff handling Budget rentals. While I understand that staffing shortages can create a stressful work environment, customer service should not suffer as a result. The supervisor came across as rude and visibly stressed, and another employee seemed to take personal offense whenever customers expressed frustration about the long wait or the lack of organization. Rather than showing empathy, the staff appeared defensive and dismissive. The entire process felt disorganized and unnecessarily frustrating. Based on this experience and the poor customer service we received, I would not choose to rent from this company again and would not recommend it to others.

Seven hundred dollars is an absolutely absurd price, and there has to be a better way of dealing with that. Companies like Safelite exist for these exact moments--tiny chips can be fixed up and not be an issue any longer. There is not a NEED to go through the dealership and get an entire new, special windshield put in and charge a family $700. Especially for something that isn't caused by neglect or recklesness. There is no way to prevent an accident like a rock, and no need to charge SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix that. Absurd.
