I booked a trip that originated at ORD with drop off at MKE. During my rental, I accidentally dropped my wedding band into a crevice of the center console, landing somewhere underneath the cupholders/parking brake. Knowing that I was going to file a claim with my insurance company for the loss, I informed a manager at drop off what happened just in case my insurance company asked if I had informed them. This manager was so nice. He said I should enter a lost and found ticket with enterprise so that I could give my insurance company proof that I informed them. The branch also called me later saying that they were pulling out the center console and seats to see if they could find it for me! Unfortunately, the car design probably made the ring fall further down, but the effort of this team went above and beyond my expectations. DO NOT RENT A CAR HERE This was not only the worst car rental experience I've ever had. It's the worst company I've ever dealt with! FYI, Enterprise and Alamo are the same company. This Milwaukee Airport location gave me a car that was 300+ miles overdue for service. There was a mechanical problem and the only solution was for me to call a tow truck and get an Uber to where I needed to go. To add insult to injury, after dealing with this, they wanted me to drive the car back to the airport to have the oil changed! The service rep then told me to compensate me, he would extend the Rental for 3 days, to make up for the 3 days I could not use it. What he did NOT DISCLOSE, was that there was an additional $225.00 charge! Since they had my credit card, they just added it to my bill, despite my disagreement! Excellent experience with renting from Enterprise at MKE recently. We rented two SUVs for our group and we were able to select from multiple vehicles and even changed our mind on one of them. The Enterprise staff were very responsive, efficient, and friendly. We were on our way from the airport with our cars in no time! (This is drastically different from the experience we had with Budget at MKE last year. And there was a very long line at the Budget counter again this year.) Do not rent a car from this company. Everything about this company is horrible. I rented my vehicle over 2 weeks in advance. No where was I told in the booking online, the daily emails, or daily text messages that I had to have a credit card. I had a debit card, but that location did not accept debit cards. The locations that accept debit cards were not open, and even if I waited till the next day to pick it up I could not get the mini van that I had originally rented. The biggest vehicle I could get was a midsize car, nothing close to what I had reserved. The desk person and manager were horrible, no customer service at all. I was about to rent a car with a different company, but after reading the Yelp reviews I decided to go with Enterprise. Enterprise seemed to be the only car rental biz setup outside and not at the main counter. I actually preferred this because once you got outside there were plenty of employees available to help and walk you right to your rental. I also appreciated how they had outdoor heaters on. I didn't catch his name, but the Enterprise guy who helped me out was very friendly. I had gone with economy, but after seeing how tiny the car was, and how it was about to snow, he suggested I upgrade to an SUV for $11 a day. Normally I wouldn't upgrade, but in this scenario I appreciated it! The car was clean and had Apple Car Play which is a plus. Upon drop off it was also very easy to find where I should go. WOW. Customer service like no other. I was met at the curb by a super nice young man. He was friendly and knowledgable. He asked me what type of vehicle I needed and walked me out to a couple of options. I picked the SUV that would work best for me. We inspected the vehicle and it had no damage nor did it smell like pot...which is a problem with other rent a car places. The SUV worked perfectly for a week. Then the issue. Delta decided to cancel all flights out of MKE. I was stuck. I called customer service and I told them I would need to drive this car to Atlanta. They arranged the change and so 5 of us proceeded to drive 14 hours to Atlanta. The next day I took the SUV to my local Enterprise and the agent was super friendly as well. The bill came the next day and it was 100% what it was suppose to be. My next rental will be with Enterprise. Thank you for saving me when Delta let me down. read more

would give 0 stars if I could claim was filed against me due to damage on roof of car and back bumper said I owed 700 dollars. the "inspection" done before I rented the car was a walk around the car. How am I supposed to see damage on the roof of a car by standing next to it? initial email about the claim came from Tameka (who has completely left me blind through this) on June 20th I sent a email back immediately saying I'd like to dispute the claim I heard nothing back from her for almost a full month when she sent a email saying it would be sent to collections. She never responded to my dispute email until I sent it again to her email regarding the collection. MKE is always great to fly in and out of, and quick access to rental cars is key. Friendly, professional service. We rented a 15 passenger van from Enterprise for the week of August 13th 2023 for our family vacation. The van looked like it has been used as a work truck and had a musty, moldy, sweaty smell. Upon returning the vehicle on Saturday August 19th 2023 initially the van wouldn't start and it took several cranks before it would start. When we filled the tank with gas, the entire inside smelled of gas. Was not a good thing with 2 children and 1 pregnant woman breathing it in until we got the van back to the car lot. Unlike the traditional "wait in line forever" at the other rental companies, Enterprise breaks the mold with excellent customer service. I booked the reservation only hours before arrival because another rent-a-car company emailed to say that they couldn't provide a car as promised. Enterprise greats you as you walk in. They have your reservation handy on an Ipad. The walk you out to your vehicle and allow you to choose from a several models and brands. The entire process takes five minutes. Check out was easy. I have always used Enterprise for corporate Rentals but during my past two visits the service was extremely poor. The kid that was on duty was playing games on his cell phone. Then made basically no effort to help me find my reservation. I'm giving two stars because I forgot my cell phone with the confirmation number but my reservation was confirmed as shown in my picture. This was the correct location and day. So since the guy working the counter refused to do any work looking up my reservation and I forgot my cellphone I was stranded at the airport with no phone. This is usually my go to rental agency when I'm in Milwaukee and they do a good job. The service here is friendly and they are very helpful and courteous. The rental agency is directly across from baggage claim (across the street) in which you will first go to the rental counter and then afterwards go to the left and out into the garage. Follow the signs and an agent with greet you, ask where you're coming from and guide you to your car. The only complaint I would have is that the last few times the cars weren't cleaned the best. They were washed but there was a lot of streaks and film on the glass but the car did look like it was washed recently. Enjoy! read more

Conveniently located in the airport. No need for a shuttle ride. Across the road from baggage claim, it is a quick process. Being Christmas night, the desk was closed and we headed out to the garage. The service was expedient and professional. There were other people there, but we felt like we were the only ones. I travel about 50% of the time, and I don't recall ever having outstanding service like this at a rental car company. I wish I remembered the names of people who helped us. Honestly, I lurked around the web looking for the best "deal". While Enterprise was a few bucks more, their ratings/reviews were WAY better than the only less expensive option. I don't do MKE often, but 1-2x a year and having used 3-4 other car rentals, I will DEFINITELY use Enterprise the next time! Reservations were easy, pickup swift, and the exact car I reserved wasn't available so I took a "crossgrade" from small SUV to a brand new FIAT 500L, the larger, newer model. I had a BLAST driving that car. Now I want one! EXCEPT, back seat is even smaller than the nearly non-existent trunk. Still sporty as hell! Drop off was as super convenient as the pickup, and UNLIKE some other brands at MKE, I didn't have to go looking for an associate. ***While the associate at pickup did their job in asking "Is the ____ going to suit your needs today... Your reserve say no coverage, did you want CDW, etc.", the associate DID NOT get all up in my face, doing the total hard sell on an upgrade, putting the fear of God into me about insurance coverage. THANK YOU. Another brand, last time I rented almost went into a rant about CDW (which BOTH my CC and Insurance cover and then some) to the point I wanted to punch him in the nose, seriously. read more

We were overcharged an entire day for returning the vehicle one hour late last night. This is after I had telephone to let them know that we had a family emergency (father rushed to hospital), so we would be slightly late returning the Jeep. The agent on the phone on that call stated that there would be no charge if we returned the vehicle before 8 pm and that after 8 pm, the charge would be $55. We returned vehicle after 7 pm. No one was at the office and we left keys in drop box. Today we saw a charge for $101+$12. This is consumer FRAUD. I've tried to rectify the issue twice on telephone and been given the runaround. In fact, the last agent hung up on me!!!! What a JOKE. We will NEVER use enterprise again and will contest the entire charge as fraudulent. read more

We picked up our rental car around 10 PM. The car windows were down when we went up to the vehicle, which in hindsight should have been a red flag. The car had a slight smell of dog when we got in, but once the heat was turned on and the windows were up, the dog smell was extremely strong. Also, with the parking garage being so dark, we couldn't see all the dog hair covering the back set, front center gear and console area. The car was pretty disgusting and should not have gone out for rental. We emailed customer service, and they offered a replacement vehicle, but we were on a tight schedule and really didn't have time to return to the airport. The Enterprise office, at 310 W Wisconsin Ave is a complete joke, and utter disgrace the corporation, they gave me a rental car with damage on the door that was covered by a inch of salt and road debris. They claimed they also detailed the inside of the vehicle, which was so disgusting and sticky that it looks like it never saw soap. I was given a voucher to have the exterior washed because they claimed their car was frozen due to the weather. I went the next day and had the vehicle washed, and discovered the damage. I documented the the damage with pictures and call the office, I was assured it would be noted in the account. I didn't think anything of this till I returned the vehicle weeks later, and was informed I would be responsible for the damage. I was left voicemail by the "manager" Justin. I quickly returned the call, and explained what had happened and was told not to worry and it would be taken care, as customer service was their top priority. Moments after I finished the call I was notified that a claim was opened on my insurance by Justin, after lying to my face. A few days later I was contacted by another "manager" Mike who said after an internal investigation it was deemed my fault, I am not sure how they were able to even complete the "investigation". Next I tried multiple times to contact the apparent general manager, Adam Smith, who is either the busiest person in the world or has the same lack of work ethic as his employees who he clearly need further training in customer service. I think he should be ashamed of the lying and blaming that they are attempting to place on a customer, due to their inept customer service that obviously stems from the general manager all the way down the organization in this location. I realize this review will not change the outcome, but I just want people to know the amount of blatant lying, disrespect, and lack of customer service in this office, and future customers should think twice as giving them any business. I will do my best to spread the word about this disgusting experience, and ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. Thank you ! read more

Our last trip to Milwaukee gave us headaches at the rental car counter. This trip, we booked with Enterprise. AMAZING! There were about 10 people in front of us so we prepared for a long wait. 10 mini later we were happily walking out to the garage. We waited for one person in front of us before being politely greeted and shown to a car. They didn't have a standard SUV at the moment and upgraded us to a full size SUV. 40 minutes after landing, we were out of the airport with a car full of luggage. I always go with Enterprise when I need to rent a car. Their service is incredibly fast and polite and the cars are always clean. Two problems with the car this time (again, the service was great!): 1. The car, a Toyota Camry, had one lock and no remote. Weird. I didn't think such a vehicle existed. There was no lock on the passenger door or the trunk! If you wanted to get in the trunk, you had to put your key in the one lock - the driver's door - open that door, then operate the trunk latch. If you wanted to open the passenger door, you had to put your key in the driver's door, open that door, then operate the "unlock doors" button. Very strange. 2. The windshield wipers were in seriously bad shape. We found that out on a drizzly, foggy, dark morning. Like driving while looking through the bottom of a coke bottle. read more

This was our third trip to Milwaukee airport using Enterprise in the last three years. First time was great. Quick service and the right vehicle at a good price. Our pick up experience last year was much worse. Only one clerk at the window with a wait of 40 minutes, then another 15 minute wait for our vehicle. After that experience, I reserved with Alamo this year. About a week before our trip, I got an email from our airline promoting special discounts, so I checked car rental rates and this time Enterprise rates were about $30 lower for the week, so I took the chance that last years experience was a fluke and changed back to enterprise. That was a mistake. When we got to the car rental counter, we saw no lines at the Alamo rental desk ( and several others), but the Enterprise desk had a line of 15 customers and only one clerk. Worse, they now had an express lane for their business travelers, so when one of those guys showed up, they got served immediately while the rest of us scmucks waited and waited. Another 40 minute wait. How I wished I had kept my Alamo reservation. I may continue to use enterprise at other airports, but the MKE location is a disaster. read more
