I've found the most efficient, friendliest, and most organized Enterprise in the US of A right here at the Greenville-Spartanburg airport. The lady who checked me in and got me set was conversational and friendly, all while getting me off and on the road. The car was easy to find and manage. The Enterprise (and I believe all of the rental car places) are right on site just a walk across the airport pickup area, which is so are but so convenient. And when I returned the car, it was an easy process, and the gentleman who checked me out was also welcoming and efficient. There's nothing more I appreciate than exceptional customer service, even better when the product matches that quality. They had it all here ... if only that were more common across many Enterprises in many other cities. read more

After being diverted to a different air port I changed my reservation to pickup a car at enterprise arriving at 100am. Since I was arriving late I called to be sure they would wait. Upon arrival I found out that you actually cannot even talk to someone on the phone on location. In fact, they did not even have a car for me because the person I spoke with had no idea if they would stay or have a car, but she told me they would both be there and have my car. No apology and no car. The Avis budget lady saved the day, was cheaper and kind. Never enterprise again. read more

Flew in tired from a red eye from SFO and were so please to see no line at Enterprise and friendly faces greeting us. Desiree was so nice and helpful and cheery. We pre-ordered an SUV through Costco and got a beautiful Tahoe. Rental car prices are all high right now ($441 for this SUV Thursday-Sunday), but Enterprise was the most competitive. Surprisingly good service and the car was fine. Last time the car smelled so bad I drove with windows down for two days, so two years later I was willing to try again. The car did need service (the light was on the whole trip) but it drive well and got great gas mileage. read more

DON'T DO IT! I was a loyal Enterprise customer for 15 years. The employees at Enterprise ended that. Long story short- they refused to come to check the car and then claim I damaged the car. When I disputed the charge, they sent me to collections. I had never had a bad experience at Enterprise prior to renting a car at GSP. Now, I will rent anywhere except Enterprise. read more

All of the people saying they were taken care of at this location, must be getting my car. For 6 years now we have booked a convertible from Enterprise for a trip into the mountains and around the Blue Ridge Parkway. Riding with the top down is a lot of fun with our family, so a non-convertible isn't an option. Two years in a row now we have had to cancel our trip because our reservation, made a month in advance both times, was of little use as they did not have a convertible for us to rent when we arrived for pick up. Last year they semi-made up for it by giving us a convertible many weeks later, but this year, they gave the convertible to someone right before we arrived, as we saw the people drive out of the garage with it. To top it off, we attempted to call yesterday to try to confirm it would be there and the agent told us, we don't sit on cars for reservations, if someone gets off the plane and the car is there, they will rent it to them. Seems he was right. To top it off, we got a confirmation email at 9:04 for our 10am reservation, that my car was waiting! I pointed this out to Tanya, the rep at the counter, and she said, I didn't send you that email. No, you rented my car out from under me and made me cancel my trip and disappointed my two girls. We have exclusively rented from Enterprise for our rental car needs, but no more. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. read more

I had a rough experience with another rental company in Greer. The gentlemen at Enterprise immediately helped me when my other rental fell through, and they went above and beyond my expectations! They could tell I was clearly stressed, and made an extra effort to make me laugh and made the process very smooth and easy! They even stayed open a little past closing to make sure I could get a vehicle that day! I am a constant traveler for work and try to use the same services to build up points. After achieving "GOLD" status with Enterprise for business, I decided to book a rental on their app for personal using Points. Somehow my points were not applied to the reservation...even though it was showing me how many points the transaction would cost. (not $$) I get to the counter to pick up. And the young girl tells me it will be $$, not points. I explain that I made reservation with points. She informs me "that's not what I see. And I don't know anything about the app." Great, I asked was there any way to make adjustment after and apply points by calling to speak to a manager. "Sure" she replied. (She didn't care) A week later after the deposit falls off, still no points. I call and speak to a manager. "No reservation can be retro actively altered... and furthermore, points CAN ONLY BE APPLIED BY THE CUSTOMER IN THE APP." So I have points, the app didn't work, and I don't get to use them. Fantastic location. First, the car they rented me was clean, smelled great, and was in great condition. Second, both people in the location moved quickly, were efficient, and very easy to work with. Third, they were both absolutely lovely. They read the urgent situation I was in quickly (yet another airline cancelling my flight), got me on my way, and went out of their ways to help me catch my flight at CLT. In fact, one of the employees dashed out to drive my rental car closer to the rental location so I could save precious minutes on my drive. They even gave me some friendly reminders and warnings as I drove off. Really blown away by the team here. Will always rent from them at GSP. read more

Quick back story, attempted to reserve a vehicle day prior to rental date and none of the Greenville stores had any vehicles available. GSP was the only location with availability so I made the reservation. Upon arrival, clerk said that a credit card was needed for deposit. I reviewed the reservation email with him and it clearly said that debit cards were an acceptable form of deposit. The clerk disagreed and pulled his phone out and said "read the middle section" so I did. It also said that a "credit card or debit card is acceptable for payment of deposit". I paid $35 for Lyft to bring me there and another $16, plus tips of course, to be taken to the Greer location that doesn't open for another hour and a half in hopes to maybe get a vehicle. This scenario is ridiculous and should never have occurred. Thanks Enterprise, you cost me $50 plus tips for nothing. read more

The gal I talked with on the phone was very helpful and pleasant. She helped me find a location so I could exchange my vehicle for another one. The Kia I was driving seemed like it was having engine issues, it shook while idling. The gal told me the airport would be the only location available on a Sunday to exchange my vehicle. I wanted to get it done quickly because I was worried about the car breaking down while I was driving it. The whole experience turned to crap when I arrived at the airport. I went up to the counter and told them the problem and that road side assistance sent me to this location. First, the young gentleman at the counter had a hard time finding the email that told him what car I would be dropping off, they had the wrong vehicle under my name. Second, the gentleman ended up telling me that he wouldn't be able to exchange the vehicle unless I wanted to pay $25 a day in airport taxes or I could wait until the next day to exchange vehicles at a different location because it was under an insurance claim. So, you want to put me back into a vehicle that could potentially break down on the side of the road or make me pay $25 a day in taxes, that I will not be reimbursed for, on top of the protection I'm already paying for to get into a new vehicle? That doesn't make any sense . Finally the manager comes over and fiddles with the computer for a few minutes before handing me a new set of keys and a new contract without saying anything besides where my car was parked. I asked him what he did and if I was going to be charged anything. He told me I wouldn't understand even if he explained it to me. So now I'm being called stupid. I asked him again what he did, and he rolled his eyes and replied that I wouldn't be paying anything besides the protection that I already had and that he was able to exchange the vehicle. I asked him why this couldn't be done in the first place instead of giving me the run around of either driving a car that was broken or paying for something I'm not supposed to be paying for. He came back with a snarky reply of because that's how it is. It took an hour longer than it should have to exchange a car for something not broken. read more

I arrived late at the airport so I accepted the first car they offered me in the class I selected, that was my first mistake. The car a like a clown car and dirty on the inside. The center console had something sticky all over it. It appeared that between the person renting g before me and my rental all they had done was vacuum and feel the gas tank up. I would never recommend renting a Chevy Spark, ever! Very noisy car and no power to get you through a busy untersection. Returned that car the next day and accepted a Toyota Corolla, nice car but again it was dirty on the inside except for the carpeting. So overall good luck renting from Enterprise Greenville Spartanburg International Airport. I rent from Enterprise very frequently but may second question my decision moving forward. people complaining about the wait at greenville intenational must never have tried to rent a car in a sizable market. due to another car rental company leaving me *completely* in the lurch, i found myself at enterprise at GSP. i had no reservation and only a debit card. and in 5 minutes, my new best friend james cheatwood had me all hooked up with a better rate than that other company. the next time in, justin boazman remembered me from the previous week and we laughed about the previous weekend. in chicago where i grew up, we call that personal service. finally, they usually have 2 or 3 people handling returns remotely in the garage structure. before i could unpack my luggage from the trunk, i had a receipt in my hand and i was on my merry way. yay enterprise. you picked me up! read more

The Greenville/Spartanburg Airport is a delight. I landed at 11:45pm, and the gentleman working the counter waited until I arrived before he closed up shop. I was able to quickly get my car (located one floor down in the parking lot), pack up my suit case, and drive down to see the Tigers play. The whole process took a max of 10 minutes. I appreciate their speed, and customer service. If he had left the desk to go home, I would have been in a world of hurt. read more

Pick up process was extremely slow. Should better monitor incoming flights and reservations to ensure there is adequate staffing.

The car I rented there worked fine and the process sent smoothly. I give three stars rather than 5 because when I returned the car there was no one outside to check us in and we had to wait in line along with all the other new renters just to return the keys! Fortunately, the line was very short that day. Had it been longer, we could have missed our plane. Enterprise needs to station someone outside to take keys, check people off, and send them on their way. Virtually every other car rental agency does that, and I was very surprised to learn the hard way that this Enterprise installation does not. read more

i have rented cars from Enterprise in New York and elsewhere for the past 25 years. I found this experience excellent. I picked up the car, a VW Beetle on April 16, 2015, and drove it out of the parking garage. Once my brain switched to driving the VW instead of my Prius, I loved it. It was a fashion statement for the wedding I attended. Took car back, was met in the garage by an attendant. He checked the car and my papers and I was on my way to board my flight. Great job!. Always have a good experience with Enterprise and even it a little more, I always rent from them. The check-in process was fast and efficient. Had someone waiting when we returned the vehicle. Check-out was a little different, as I had asked for a 4x4 vehicle and I don't think the lady knew there was a difference between 4x4 and all wheel, as that is what I got. As it was I should have gone back, but, flight was over an hour late, it was late, had 1.5 hr drive and expecting snow, so by the time we were in the vehicle and leaving, realized it was not 4x4. Luckily, it wasn't needed. But, hopefully, she knows there is a difference. They were quick and efficient in check-out though. read more

The idea that just because a car is a new model presents itself to be a "premium" slot in the fleet is not correct. When It's the new Chevy Impala I fail to see where that is classified as a premium model of car. The car was smaller than what I thought for that type of rental, and didn't have the inside amenities it should have. The tire noise was ridiculous, and made mention of that to the guys when I tuned it back in. I get good and bad service at Enterprise and there are good people involved in their system , the consistency I look for really is come and go. Pick up process was slow. Only 2 people in front of me, still took a long time. Then I received a car that was not suitable for riding in for two + hours; the lady behind the counter asked if I wanted an SUV or a smaller car, before I could answer she gave me a smaller car. The car was fine mechanically; not suitable for a business trip where I was shuttling customers. Normally, there is a gentleman working the counter and he is quick, personable and doesn't put a frequent renter in a smaller car without waiting for the person to answer. read more

Had a last minute emergency flight and needed to get a rental to drive an hour to my hometown. I was able to book a vehicle through USAA and get a free upgrade. When I arrived I waited about 15 mins in line as it was busy. They were out of mid sized vehicles so they offered me a full sized which was great on their part. The car I was given was a Hyundai Sonata and it had plenty of room for luggage etc. Once I was ready to return it was fast as there were not many people at the rental counter. I made sure I filled up the tank and that everything was cleared out. I returned the keys and was only charged what was agreed upon on my receipt. The service rep was helpful and friendly. Overall great experience and I would choose enterprise over the other rental places due to the ease of the process and good reps/ customer service even if it is 1.00 more a day in comparison. I wouldn't want to be in a bind with a company that had unhappy employees and bad customer service. read more

Great price for the rental and the pick up process went well. They were able to serve customers quickly. However, I'm not a fan of the car return process. I have to note the gas tank level and mileage on the car and stand in the same line as those waiting to pick up a car so I may return the keys. They either need a dedicated person outside for car return or have separate process at the counter. read more

Let me start by saying that I have primarily rented from Enterprise for over 10 years and this is my worst experience by far. Starting with my wife calling to reserve a car and asking the type of cars in the class. We spoke to someone less than an hour before arriving and were assured of the cars that were available. When we arrived, none of those were available nor was there any line of sight to getting one. Not a huge deal but it compounds the issue. Next, upon return my wife forgot her brand new pair of shoes in the front seat. We called and were asked not to turn around and come back and that the lost and found would call us on the next business day. Here we are eight days later and have called everyday but no one has responded. The only response I get is "please do not come up here, someone will be in touch with you tomorrow". I think I'll stick to local branches of Enterprise if I rent from them ever again. read more

I cannot thank Enterprise enough for making helping make my vacation even more enjoyable! I reserved a compact SUV, and they wanted to give me a Ford Escape. I kinda sighed and explained I drive one every day for work. Honestly I woulda been ok with it, but the guys behind the counter asked where was I headed- said exploring the Smokey Mountains for a few days. So they said ok.......how about Jeep Wrangler?! YES!!! I dont care if this thing only had manual windows and door locks......it was the PERFECT vehicle to travel through those mountains! Something that simple amplified my much needed vacation time. There might be slightly cheaper options to rent from, but I have always been satisfied with Enterprise and not willing to risk losing the customer service they provide.
