The lady who checked me in and got me set was conversational and friendly, all while getting me off and on the road. The car was easy to find and manage. The Enterprise (and I believe all of the rental car places) are right on site just a walk across the airport pickup area, which is so are but so convenient. And when I returned the car, it was an easy process, and the gentleman who checked me out was also welcoming and efficient. There's nothing more I appreciate than exceptional customer service, even better when the product matches that quality. They had it all here ... if only that were more common across many Enterprises in many other cities.

Check-in ~ pick up and drop off both went fine. No hassle with extra sale other than question of wanting to pre-pay tank of fuel. New location from a few years ago when I previously rented from Hertz at GSP. A longer walk to rental location was noticeable, a bit due to humidity upon arrival and a few rain drops when returning. Refuel off of highway one interchange before airport, an issue I recall with past rentals. Fuel gauge on vehicle was odd, it did not have indicator of full or 1/2 full or 1/8 full etc. It was not clear that I filled up although for the few miles I drove, I put in enough fuel. At check-in I pointed out that I put in more fuel than used and employee confirmed matters. Receipt provided to me and then also sent by email did not include fuel charge.

Only one guy working the desk at pick up and drop off. We told him that the needs maintenance light was on and that it was filthy and he didn't really respond.

GSP has a relatively new rental building across the street from the terminal. Upon returning the car, no one was around at 5:00 am so drop off was a little weird just leaving the car without a walkabout. It all went well however when I got a quick email regarding receipt.

I'm not too fond of these small airport National locations where you have to go to a desk (something else I absolutely hate) and check in and finish the transaction where they give you a key and ask if you're OK with the vehicle they selected. On this visit, the vehicle they offered was nice, it was an Audi. But the last time I used a counter like this (at a different airport, nearby) I got a vehicle I never would have chosen from the Emerald Isle, so this doesn't always work well. My gripe on this visit was when I got to the counter to get a car, there were three ladies working and one of them was helping a customer. The other two were typing on the computer in front of them. I had to wait for the one helping a customer to finish and then she took me. Immediately after, another customer walks up and one of the other ladies stopped what she was doing and took him. She also recognized his Executive Elite status... I'm Executive Elite too, but no one said anything about that to me? (this goes towards inconsistent management which means poor training and management) Ultimately, I got my car and left. When I returned, there was no one outside to check me in. I saw a sign that said take the keys inside and remember what spot you parked in - This is a horrible way to check in cars! So, I did just that. Got to the same counter inside where I checked the car out two days prior and there were the same three ladies working the counter. I stood there and waited while 2 were on the phone. After waiting a few mins and none of them looking up to see me standing there, I interrupted what they were doing to ask what I was supposed to do. One commented that some guy was supposed to be outside to check me in, but clearly he wasn't. She took my keys and said they'd send the email. I stressed the elaborate review to say this is quite the opposite of what makes National so great with the Emerald Isle at larger airports. They could very easily do the same style here or at least offer much better customer service than they do. I wish they would because selecting National at these smaller airports is no different, nor better than simply going with Avis or Budget.

It was a very basic model and got my son and I from point A to point B safely. Pick up was a breeze. The return was a little tricky. The signage to return the rental car was not very well marked. I actually went into the wrong company's return lane and it was the same for the truck in front of me as well. Once I followed the truck to the right area the drop off went smoothly. I did like that there was no additional fees and Whitney was not pushing additional non sense on me for the rental which was greatly appreciated since it was so early in the morning. The price was great. I ended up maybe putting 30 miles on the car so that was a plus.

We were then sent to another location, only to be told that they did not have parking space for larger vehicles. The customer service was extremely poor, there was no understanding of the situation, and the manager was not available. Despite paying a significant amount of money, we were offered the lowest-class vehicles. We spent nearly three hours at the rental counter trying to resolve the issue. As a result, we had to postpone our trip until the next day. My advice: never pay in advance if getting the vehicle you actually booked is important to you. They were unwilling to offer any reasonable compromise, even though vehicles of the same class were available on the lot. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company.
