These Guys Suck, My first review ever! Couldn't not do it, had the claim number for at fault vehicle, told me that they take care of the insurance pavement, with the claim number that they looked up, apparently it was different, said they don't call the insurance adjuster, kept charging my card. called several time after they called me, store manager Jeff was to figure it out. 4 of the 6 times calling they don't answer the phone. Had to pay out of pocket, now waiting on reimbursement. I understand the reviews now, little or no training. read more

I recently rented a car from the Hammond location for my 4th of July vacation. My grandchildren were traveling with me. I left the choice of vehicle up to the company. Jake at the Hammond location acted professionally and with care in providing us with an suv. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The vehicle was thoroughly inspected for any damage or faults before I left the lot. Everything I needed to know was explained to me upon my departure; I was provided with essential paperwork and contact info before leaving. Our trip was amazing and stress free; as there were zero mechanical issues. The vehicle chosen was spacious and pre-cleaned before issuance. There was less than 50,000 miles on the vehicle. All of our luggage fit with room to spare. The safety features for car seat implementation was exemplary. Hands free monitoring and communication was a helpful tool. I felt safe during the entire trip also knowing roadside assistance and added insurance feature had us covered. I'm very thankful for the service provided by Jake and his team. I will return to the Hammond lit for my future rental needs. Thank you Jake fir impeccable service! I recommend giving them a try if you have a long trip. Five star review for me!! This Enterprise location needs some competition! This is my second experience with receiving a nasty car. The Interior windshield looked like it hasn't been cleaned since the car was purchased. The seats have huge stains on them. And the car itself smells like an ashtray. The car pulled hard to the right, probably due to whatever is causing the wear on the tire on the front drivers side., that I called to the attendants attention, but was told they wouldn't send a car out if they thought it would put someone in harms way. Really the truth is they could care less about the cars they send out. Just take it and go. This is my last go with them. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this is not my first bad experience with this location. read more

This just in....enterprise may be plumbing in their approval ratings. For a company that prides itself on customer service, the Hammond branch has a major issue. More often than none, reservation are looked over. The car or van you request is never there. They try to give you stories on what's going but customer are tired of the de-escalation process . Car reserved by my insurance company. I called and told them I would call back and let them know when I could get my car in a body shop and wouldn't need. Car until then as my car was drivable. I got a date to drop my car off today so I called enterprise and gave them a weeks notice to the lady who answered the phone. Dropped my car at body shop and called enterprise to confirm. I was told they had no reservation or record of my call. The guy was very rude and unaccommodating. After explaining that it was unacceptable he said he had me set up for 1:00 and that didn't mean he would have a car I would have to wait in line until one hopefully showed up. I will never use this location again. I ran car dealerships for over 40 years and have had a long relationship with enterprise. Over the years I've got to know many of the upper management of enterprise out of Atlanta and will share my story with them also. There's a reason this location is rated so horribly. I had reserved a car for the Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend. When I called that morning to ask to be picked up from my hotel, no one answered. I re-checked the number and called again; still no answer. Then I called the toll-free number for Enterprise, and when the operator tried calling over, SHE got no answer. So, I made other arrangements to get myself over there. Indeed, the office was open that day. And as I waited in line, guess what I heard? Their phone ringing in the back over and over-- and no one answering it! I told the agent about my experience, and that I had to pay my own money to get to the office, and he agreed to give me a small discount off the rate. And he did apologize, saying they were very busy that morning. I'm pleased with the agent's response. But guys, if you're reading this: REALLY, you NEED to answer your phones. I don't care if there's a line of people out the door; bring in another staff person. What if there were an emergency and someone-- the police-- were trying to reach you? That said, my car was fine, and they did drop me off at my hotel at the end of the reservation, which I didn't expect (since they don't advertise that). So, I put in my rental reservations for a 15 passenger van, months in advance. I also called several times to check on my van rental. I even called and asked could I make payments. I was told no and to just make payment when picking up. Less than 24 hours prior to my trip, I received a phone call. I was basically asked how would you be paying for this, and I responded debit card. The caller acted as if he had won the bingo and started to say, well you have to have a major credit card available-which I did not. Only debit card-mind you this was less than 24 hours prior to a trip that has been paid for. I then stated that well, could I find another person and use their credit card. This was yes, but this didn't happen. I then said, well, I will have to just rent two vans which I didn't want to do as that would increase the cost of the trip with additional payments for toll roads, gas, but I had no option. Then, I was told that there was this policy that stated that you must have an instate drivers license to rent vehicles-absolute lie. I know as well as anyone else knows that people come into Louisiana from other states all the time and rent vehicles, buy anyway, I explained to the attendant that I feel this is a racial issue-which it probably was. You know how that goes. Anyway, I contacted corporate and explained the ignorance that I encountered. The corporate contact also informed me that she was shocked. I told her, I was not shocked at all this is normal business in the south. Moving on, I did ask the attendant for a copy of the policy that stated that they needed a driver licenses from the state of Louisiana. Of course, they didn't have a written copy because it was all a tired lie. Finally, I received a call from Lauren-whom was snarky finally indicating that there was no written policy about the Louisiana Driver's license. Racial profiling at its best. Luckily for me, I was able to rent a passenger van out of New Orleans. Sad that we are still dealing with such profound ignorance to this day. read more
