No problems to report. Online reservation using my Enterprise Plus account and pickup went smoothly and quickly with no wait at 10 am opening time on a Sunday. Not many locations are open Sunday's, so this was close and convenient for me when I needed an SUV to move a piece of furniture. The car was a new VW Touareg and it was perfect, even though I reserved a small-size SUV. There was no up-charge for the class upgrade. Nice! I returned the car the same night after-hours and used the key drop box located near the entrance. In the morning, I received a receipt of return and the fee was charged to my card. That was easy! Unfortunately for me, I did leave my sunglasses in the car and had to return the next day to pick them up. The staff was very accommodating and had set them aside for me to grab when I came back. I have been a loyal Enterprise customer for over eight years, and until today I have always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, my experience with Branch Manager Benjamin was extremely disappointing. When I attempted to rent a vehicle, I was told that I could not use my debit card because I live more than 50 miles from the branch. However, my understanding of Enterprise's corporate rental policy is that customers who live more than 50 miles from a branch may still rent with a debit card as long as they possess a valid driver's license from the same state in which the branch is located. I meet that requirement, as I have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and was renting from a Pennsylvania location. During our conversation, Benjamin stated that this branch has its own rules and does not follow Enterprise's corporate-issued policies. That statement was both surprising and concerning. As this is a corporate Enterprise location, I would expect all employees and managers to consistently follow company policies rather than create branch-specific rules that conflict with corporate guidelines. Over the past eight years, I have rented from numerous Enterprise locations throughout Pennsylvania using my Pennsylvania driver's license and debit card without ever encountering this issue. Because I was denied a rental today based on what I believe was an incorrect interpretation of company policy, I missed several important appointments and experienced significant inconvenience. Benjamin also stated that he had consulted with a higher-ranking manager before denying my rental. If that is the case, I would appreciate clarification on the official Enterprise policy regarding debit card rentals for customers who reside more than 50 miles from the branch but hold a valid driver's license from the same state. If the policy has changed, I would appreciate being directed to the updated policy. If not, I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed to ensure corporate policies are being applied consistently across all Enterprise locations. As a long-time customer, I value the service Enterprise has provided over the years. ad car rental for 2PM on Sunday. Arrived at exactly 2PM and they closed and locked the doors. Two employees inside saw me at the door and scrambled to get out of the office. I went to an open garage door on the side and they closed that on me. I went to my drop off car and both sped out of the lot totally avoiding me! SCUMBAGS! Worst car rental experience ever. I booked a reservation for 10am pick up almost two months ago, ran late and they tell me I can't get what I rented. So they gave away my rental by the time I got there 11:20??? They tried to downgrade and up charge me. Yes I was late but I didn't know there was a late policy. Still don't know the policy, one guy said 15,20 minutes. One said 30- 60 or 90 minutes. But for the absolute disregard and turn me away, at Christmas!! So bc they can't help me, I have to wait 24 hours to pick up another rental from somewhere else. Again, I booked this vehicle a month and a half ago from pick up. Late or not, I should be in a rental right now, but bc this place is ran by washed up salesman.and nobody with real Enterprise authority, people are left with "bc I felt like it" energy. Not cool. And apparently the other places are calling this place for cars? Seems to me enterprise fell off all together and it's unfortunate. Great counter service at pick up and at return. My main complaint is with the cleanliness of the windshield. PLEASE clean the inside of the windshield as if you were going to be driving into the sun all day! Streaks and a film on the windshield make it very hard to see. read more

We will never use Enterprise for any rentals ever again. My wife rented a car from them, and as she was pulling into a parking spot the car who was already parked to her right opened up their door and damaged the rental car that my wife was driving...we took it back to Enterprise the next day and they charged us $250 for a deductible and said we'd get it back when the investigation is over, the other car was found to be at fault, but because the rear passenger door was the door that did the damage to the rental car my wife was driving, we have to pay another $250, because now Enterprise says it's a $500 deductible...Never again I'd suggest staying away from Enterprise...horrible customer service, we prefer using Alamo whenever they are available anyways. read more

The location had vehicles,but no keys!! How's that work ? We only found this out after questioning the availability of several different vehicles on the lot. The initial vehicle we reserved had a fairly filthy interior with ducky something rather on the middle console. Do not go to this Enterprise location on Paxton Street unless you want to be lied to by the staff of sleazy sales people who use bait and switch to up sell you, then lie about prices, and other Enterprise options. This was the worst experience I have had in trying to rent a car. This started with getting a quote for $189 for a weekend get away in a Chrysler 300. We thought this option sounded great. We arrived for our appointment and the Chrysler 300 turned into a Hyundai hatchback. We asked to see other options and all that was available were a mini van and a huge SUV. To get either of these, they were both up sells and the sales associate wanted to sell us on the biggest car he had. Before we could think about our options, the Hyundai hatchback was being rented to another driver. We settled on the mini van after being promised the same price as the Hatchback. This was not the case! At check out, the sales man forgot this and went on to try charging us full price and would only reduce the rate by $20 dollars a day. Chris our sales associate lied that we could switch the car at any enterprise if we were not happy with our selection. This is not true there was a one way fee he did not tell us about! We went home, packed up and we're going to go to another enterprise to switch out our car. When we called ahead to another enterprise, they would not let us switch our vehicles and told us about the one way transfer fee. We were stuck dealing with Paxton Street. We then had to drive back up to enterprise. They would not meet us at our door, like the slogan says. Chris our sales associate was hiding somewhere not to be found. We got the assistant manager who did not want to deal with the situation. He didn't want to switch cars around or do paper work. He reduced the price of the car nowhere near the 189 price we told him about. He took off an extra driver fee and gas allowance. Or so we were told! Not having any other options from the assistant manager, we took this option after wasting 3 hours of time with enterprise because we needed to be on the road. We had to make changes in travel plans and almost missed check-in at our hotel. Oh no, the story does not end here! We dropped off the car and they do not correctly bill me. The assistant mangers discounts do not show up on the bill!! In over 10 years of customer service this was the worst experience I've had! When they didn't have any options they should have found us a better place to go. The enterprise at the Middletown airport had multiple options and sounded less like sales people and more like customer services representatives. Stay Away From Janet Her Customer Service Is Dreadful & She Does Not Communicate Well. I Was Not Able To Take A Car Because I Lost My Debit Card & They Need It There Physically. So I Was Told They Saved Everything & That The Next Day I Would Be Able To Come & Pick Up The Car After I Get A New Card From The Bank & That Someone Would Pick Me Up If I Needed. The Next Day I Called & I Was Out Of Their Jurisdiction For Pick Up So Janet Told Me To Hold On & She Just Transferred Me To The Mountain Location Without Even Telling Me. They Only Had A Truck & A Minivan So I Declined. Thinking Them Picking Me Up Was The Only Problem I Called Back The Paxton St Location & They Had Given The Car Away & Only Had A Minivan Left. On Top Of That I Had To Redo Everything I Had Already Done The Day Prior. Overall I Really Don't Like Enterprise Because Their Customer Service Is Very Poor & Their Cars Always Smell Like Cigarettes Unless It's A Minivan & Even Then It Might. The Only Reason I'm Using Them Is Because My Insurance. read more

Staff was extremely friendly and went over all the details of the car with me. My only issue were the dirty windshield and windows. Since I was making a 4 hour drive, I cleaned them myself. The rental was easy and returning after hours equally so. Good value for the money. read more

My car was hit by another car and had to be in the shop for repairs; the insurance company paid for a car for me to use while that was being taken care of. When I picked up my car at Enterprise, they tried to insist that I give them a credit card. I only had a debit card and wasn't about to give them that. I asked why they needed it if the insurance company was paying for the rental, but the employee couldn't answer my question. He finally gave in and went through with the paperwork. Then he tried to sell me rental insurance for a week that was twice the amount I pay for insurance for my car in a month! When I told him the insurance company was paying for the rental and he could ask them to buy rental insurance, he kept pushing and pushing. But I refused to purchase insurance for a rental that was really being rented by an insurance company for me to drive while my car was being repaired. Now I am wondering: did the insurance company pay for car rental insurance and Enterprise try to double dip by also trying to get me to pay for rental insurance? I just cannot trust this company based on my experience with them. :( read more

This place was extremely professional, courteous and informative. We were picked up at a dealer by Robert and he was very personable. Once there, they went over things very well and were gracious in answering our questions. Most importantly we wanted to note the outstanding customer service from Jason. When we got home (about 40 miles away) later in the day, we realized we had left a bag in the vehicle. Jason said no worries, they would package it up and send it to us at no charge. This happened very promptly and everything came in great condition. We REALLY appreciated his easy going and meticulous response to the situation!! Thanks Jason. I would give this company, particularly this location, a zero if I could. I booked a large-size vehicle for a work trip. I went to pick it up and there were issues. The first one being they didn't have a vehicle for me after reserving one. Second, they said I had a lien on my account (from when my husband rented a vehicle). The issue from months ago and was absolved by Enterprise Corporate but unfortunately the satellite location did not reflect this. I walked outside but first said I'd be back to figure it out (needed to talk to my husband in the car watching our child). Tried to get back in and they locked and closed the location. They very well knew that we were coming back in but apparently customer service isn't something Enterprise takes pride in, so she left. We talked to a gentleman that was leaving and he said there wasn't anything he could do and ignored us as he got into his vehicle. Way to treat your customers! I proudly work for a company where employees go above and beyond for their customers, daily. You have lost my business and when I travel in the future I will not be using Enterprise.
