Thats what they get at this location and I shall explain why. The complaint is this: and for the sake of your consumer protection note to all enterprise customers. This Corporation likely mandates a protocol of NOT INFORMING THE CUSTOMER OF THEIR THE DEFINITION OF "FULL COVERAGE INSURANCE!!!" . You see folks in THE WORLD, "FULL COVERAGE" insurance covers damage to the vehicle you hit. The other guy not just on the vehicle you are renting. They will not tell you this until AFTER the accident has occurred. But that's not all. My fiance ( a regular customer who has been renting monthly for 2 and a half years ) in an attempt to rent recently was required by request of the current manager ( a new hire) who refused to rent to my fiance even after my fiancee provided local D.L. and a statement from social security fully meeting the I.D. required and legitimacy of her residency on island and kama aina discount then further was required to involve me. And I had to fly from Houston TX, to Hilo, $435.00 go to my local bank and generate and notorize a statement of validity to my fiance's claims under threat of purgry. My fiance was required to provide a current rental reciept and notorized statement, an updated lease agreement and a notorized reciept proving my fiance paid me for her rent. Now when we called corporate to report this. Corporate hung up the phone and did not call back, did not fire the manager or reprimand. We realize that we are caucasian and that we appear not from here. We also realize there are no caucasians working at this location and would like to further reiterate to the locals and host culture that punishing a customer will not remove haole from the islands. If you want to rid the island of haoles you must start by not enslaving yourselves to the corporations well established on these islands. Dont work for them if you feel so strongly about the occupation of pale skinbed humans in your little one horse town. That is how you win. We are local business owners who require from time to time (as all business owners do) a vehicle rental. We are no different than any other local, visitor or resident of this island and we are incredibly angry and insulted that we have been treated like gutter thieves. Fire that manager and bring back the old one or find a non racist human being to manage your location. read more

We rented a car for two days from them and they were great! They were kind, clear, and very helpful. They had a shuttle going to and from the port and recommended safe places for us to park our car overnight. They even gave us some great restaurant recommendations. read more

The mainland customer service person who took my info and reservation over the phone on Sunday was not aware that Geico does not cover a client w/ rental car coverage to rent from the Enterprise airport location while client's car is being repaired due to an accident. I chose the airport location based on selection of vehicles posted on website. It was out of the way compared to the other location. I made arrangements for Monday to get an early ride before work after dropping my truck off at Sanborn Collision Repair at 8am. My ride dropped me off, I walk up to the Enterprise window and the staff looks up my reservation and tells me Geico won't cover a car from their location if the rental is covered as part of a collision claim for the client. This upset me because now I was stranded at the airport, not able to get my rental, had put others out of their way to help get me there, and now causing me to be late for work on a very busy Monday morning. The ladies were very nice and professional despite my anger and criticism of their mainland customer service counterparts. They immediately got on the phone with their other Hilo location and explained to them the situation. They told me to contact my Geico claims agent and that someone from the Halekauila location was coming right away to pick me up. Josh from the Halekauila location arrived within 15 minutes! His customer service was SPOT-ON and I felt completely taken care of for the rest of my experience with Enterprise because of him. He genuinely acted in my best interest and was kind, time-efficient and very experienced for such a young guy. Great job Josh! We had a reservation for a 6:00am pick up but when we went to check in for the truck, the rental agent said our reservation was for 12:00 noon. Wtf? I guess the lady on the phone didnt get the info down right or communicate with the people in Hilo. He said we would have to wait til noon or when someone comes back early. So we gave him our Phone number. We went to every other rental place there and they were all sold out. So on the way back to the pick up terminal contemplating calling my mom to pick us up, the rental guy came running over and said he has a truck someone just turned in early. Which was great because I hate bugging for rides. This guy was really nice. The charge they showed per day for the pickup was $200.00 per day. I thought I heard wrong but even the rental guy said that was high and I'm going to fix that. It was a full size Silverado but he charged us for a compact for the three days and it came out to $275.00 and change with insurance so we were happy with what he did. It was a 4x4 so it made good going up to the ranch in Laupahoehoe. I love when these rental guys go the extra mile to accommodate you the best they can. read more

Have had to rent from them for extended periods twice in the past few months as my family's cars have needed repairs. Joshua has looked out for us consistently and been extremely accommodating, getting us great rates on rentals. They were able to help me out in a pinch at a time when it seems like every other rental agency on the island was fully booked and had no cars available. Rented my vehicle for 7 days from this location. I would definitely rent from here again. The manager and his staff were excellent. I had a small problem with a vehicle and the manager upgraded me to a larger vehicle at no extra cost. This place is very busy so make sure you have a reservation. Less expensive then renting directly at the air port. You pay alot of extra air port taxes if you rent at the terminal. I took a taxi for $15.00 and saved over 30 dollars a day. When I returned my vehicle the manager drove my wife and I to the terminal. If you don't rent from this location you are making a mistake. read more

When I called to report the incident Junior helped me and was so attentive and responded to my situation with kindness and concern! He offered to trade out vehicles in case I didn't feel safe in the vandalized vehicle! Rented the car through my insurance. Beautiful car, great service. But when I went to return it, they said they did not have anyone to take me home so they recommended I return it to the Hilo Airport facility. I called them to make sure they would be able to take me home and they said no problem. When I brought the car back, they said they had no one to take me home. Spent $20 on a cab. Was in Hilo during New Years and this is the only car rental place that had rates below $100/day. It's not at the airport, but it's close enough and you can get a free ride from them. Totally worth it to avoid getting price gouged. Also the management was very reasonable when we ran into some trouble. They also knew when they'd be getting their inventory returned which greatly helped us in planning (other rental agencies just told us they were sold out). read more

The only negative is that the sign is easy to miss and the parking area very small, congested and hazardous. Our car was not the greatest, and they don't pick up at the airport, but the price was right and the service was good. They had clearly the best price I could find in Hilo of the national brands. I took a taxi the 2 miles from the airport to get my car. No waiting for service. They quickly got me going. My car was an economy model with few extras. The seat back shape was not adjustable, and it made me slouch too much for comfort. The car was reasonably clean except for the inside of the windshield. Hard to keep it clean in Hilo. I was expecting to have to taxi back to the airport, but they reminded me that they provide drop off service for free. Again, no waiting. read more

I had a very dissatisfying experience with this company. I've been having car problems so my insurance booked a car to come pick me up, I thought this would be a simple business transaction. NO. They said they had my reservations booked for another day, so I decided to wait till the next day to actually get my rental car (I live here and stayed with my other half that night). Then, when I call to get my reservation to come pick me up, they say they're busy and it'll be a couple of hours. I told them that I work 60 hours a week, 8AM to 6/7PM and I only get a 30 minute lunch. I can't wait for them. They then said they'll arrive in 15-20 minutes. I waited 27 minutes exactly before I called and cancelled it, saying I had to be back at work and couldn't wait for someone to arrive. The 3rd day in a row, I waited (3rd times the charm, ya? - no again), and this timethey said they, "have nothing in the morning and aren't available all day. I don't know if this was a personal attack because I cancelled the day prior or if they really don't have any cover or understand the concept of people working a 9-5 and not having availability to wait hours and hours. If I was stranded on the side of the road in a different city/state, I can't fathom how their service would be. Imagine standing on the side of the road, waiting for an hour or so because they're "busy." Reliable? I think not. read more
