Disappointed with the service lately, they use to be my go to when I first came to this area. This new team is inconsiderately different. Chalk it up to the system too, allowing potential customers to still book when there's no availability already as is, leaving staff to call hundreds of customers back to inform them of the cancellation, and that's verbatim. This is my second painful experience with this place lowest trim level of truck class I wanted which was the tradesman utility class classic which I expressed over the phone I didn't want but they didn't want to tell what I'd be getting until it was late both times I have made reservations and have waited at least a hour to actually get the car. We rented a car from enterprise for 2 weeks at the end of June into July. It broke down 2 days into having it and we were stuck with a compact SUV instead of the van we originally rented. After renting the new car, we were offered a refund of $150 after going back and forth. We accepted that and only received a portion of that "refund". A couple weeks later, we receive a charge on our account MORE than we ever received in the first place for no reason. We called for 2 weeks to get this refunded, which the manager reluctantly did. Here we are after it finally cleared our account, the same charge comes out AGAIN from Enterprise. This is completely unacceptable at this point. We have tried to contact customer service, but have not received a response from them yet. The assistant manager and the managers have been extremely rude and not helpful through this experience. For 2 days now, I have been trying to get a truck from this location, while my Chevy Silverado is at the dealership down the street. I was told they had one, but I couldn't pick it up location 20 minutes from my house. It had to be driven from the airport location down to Hinesville. Now it has been nearly 24 hours, and that car still isn't here, because they "can't confirm a driver" to get it here. When asking them to give me more exact information, the response is "We are waiting for a driver to be confirmed from the other location. Sorry we can't do anything for you. Do you want an equinox?" They wasted my time and had me fill out useless paperwork for nothing! I have rented vehicles from enterprise for the last 5 years, at least 5 or 6 times a year. Each time, I have used the exact same payment method (a re-loadable visa card) and had no problem with getting a car. I placed an online reservation a week ago to pick up a card yesterday and put my personal car in the shop for repairs. When I tried to pick up my rental, I was told that I had to have 2 bills with my name and address on them because the card was now considered a money order. I live in Savannah, which is an hour drive from Hinesville and no vehicle to go and get them. The manager had absolutely no compassion for the fact that I now had a 6 hour walk ahead of me. I will no longer use enterprise for my rental needs and I suggest that you find another company to rent from. read more

Every time I have rented from the Hinesville location, I have had the best experience, compared to the other rental company in town. The employees are always cheerful, knowledgable and helpful. Where do I start? Not good. Several people in the office and they were more interested in talking to each other and a repeat customer from the area than they were in doing their jobs. I had called TWO times before arriving at this location to try to expedite switching cars since the first one broke down and neither person could help over the phone. They kept saying "It's not in our system". I gave them all the numbers off the contract from another state and the key and they still couldn't help. Manager's name was Justin, but we never saw him once although he was on site. They also harassed the excellent tow truck diver from All Towing, Inc multiple times. Since we were now almost 3 hours late to our destination, I actually had to intervene and remind them that we were seriously pressed for time and I needed to swap all our gear to the new car. They even tried to make the poor tow driver put the car back on and take it somewhere else...after I'd told three different people that there was a lot of stuff we needed out of it. It really was frustrating. Plus, we'd just put $50 into the tank of the first car before realizing it wouldn't start again at the gas station. They actually tried to just jump it (courtesy of tow truck driver cuz they didn't have a jump box at the Enterprise lcation) and send us off in it again. Really?!* Terrible experience. Also, there was a good bit of broken glass in their parking area and they had rental cars parked in it. In the end, no one took any responsibility and they just marked the original contract that we'd returned the car full and swapped us out. I have rented at this location a couple of times but I'm pretty sure the last time was the final time that I use this location. I made a reservation for a SUV a month prior and wouldn't you know that they gave my SUV to another location for a golf tournament. They instead offer me a mini-van. When checking over the vehicle I noticed a screw in the tire and the gentleman said it was no big deal and would instead offer me free roadside service as if it would be fine to knowingly put someone in a situation that would be potentially dangerous or end up being stranded for hours while on vacation. read more

I am a cooperate renter who was renting cars from this location very regularly. The last two cars I was given had sticky drinks that had been spilled in the console. Both times went back into the office and someone came out and cleaned them, the last time this happened they left the bottle of cleaner on the front seat. As a business renter it is very important to get an accurate receipt, both rentals had problems getting an accurate receipt. I spent 3 to 5 days calling trying to get adjustments made to the receipts so that they were accurate enough to submit to our travel department. the last receipt I never did get a correct mileage it showed 4 miles instead of the 500 that I actually put on the car. I finally gave up ever getting an accurate receipt and attempted to call cooperate office. My call was re routed back to this location and I spoke with the manager again. I specifically asked not to be contacted by this manager because I had exhausted my efforts. I have cancelled all my reservations because I will not get reimbursed by my company without an accurate receipt. I will have to go to another location to try to rent because this one is not capable of a smooth transaction and I do not have a week and 10 calls to get a receipt and a clean car. read more

I went into this branch today to pick up my rental. When I gave my reservation number, the first person behind the counter looked at it and said, "This don't look right." She proceeds to the back and comes back with another young lady who proceeded to tell me that even though I had a reservation and it shows where I confirmed it this morning, the person I spoke with was just someone at customer service and not actually someone at the branch and they would not honor the reservation that was made by my insurance company the day prior. I was told that I could have THEM set up a reservation and come back on Monday. First of all, if you won't honor the reservation that you're looking at, why would I trust you to make and/or honor one that you have made? Second of all, how is customer service able to book a vehicle that does not show as available at your location? The man told me that the car had just been checked in and they would need some time to clean it and have it ready. He asked me to wait until 10:30 am to give them the time to get the vehicle ready. I waited an extra 15 minutes, drove all the way to the location only to be met with this unprofessional behavior. I don't know if they had promised the vehicle to someone and not logged it into the system or they just did not feel like printing up the paperwork because they close at noon on Saturday, but they should have honored my reservation. When I called the national number, they told me the same thing--the reservation should have been honored. They gave me the number to lodge a formal complaint and I fully intend to do so. I'm really hoping that my insurance company deals with another rental company because I do NOT wish to deal with this crew again! I wasn't looking for a joyride for the weekend. I had a legitimate need that I intend to fulfill elsewhere. Losing one customer may not mean much, but you have lost this one. read more

Normally, I have very pleasant experiences with Enterprise, to include this location. Enterprise is the only place I will rent from because of their customer service and I've never had a problem until recently. I have always returned a weekend rental Sunday night and used the drop box to drop the keys. I always make sure that my rental goes through until 10-12 Monday and I've never been charged for an extra day, at any location. However, in my most recent experience, not only did I tell the associate I would be returning the vehicle Sunday night via the drop box, the associate did not tell me that I would be charged an extra day for doing so. When the deposit was refunded back to my card, I realized I was charged for Monday as well. When I called to ask about it, I was told that they charge an extra day on the drop box because they basically don't check it until closing on Monday instead of checking when the location opens. Again, that has NEVER happened before and I am VERY disappointed. Had I known I was going to be charged another day, I would have either kept the vehicle or gotten someone to take it back at the designated time.
