Everything is amazing about this resort. Big rig friendly. Nice clean large sites. Resort has cabins/tiny houses as well. Multiple pools with splash and play area for kids. Poolside restaurant and bar. Resort also has a Lakeside Restaurant with a great menu and staff. Nice lake view from Lakeview sites. Close to everything. Historic Savannah with a shuttle service provided. Tybee island close by, other historic sites such as Pulaski and McAllister civil war sites. So much to do and see near by. Great location for this park. All staff are super nice and helpful!

Nature trail. Be prepared to run from the Black flies that bite.

We really enjoy our time visiting this property. The sites are level and the grounds are clean but need some mowing and hedge trimming. However on this trip (4 nights) the WiFi was almost non existent (we were connected to the WiFi with about 2 hours of connectivity to the internet during our stay) and there was a camper near by that kenneled their labs outside their camper all the time and dogs do what they do during the night hours ((BARKING at every sound) we are pretty disappointed with this visit. We've decided to look for other camping areas in the future that have reliable service when in the Savannah area.

This is our favorite RV resort near Savannah. It is very family friendly for young kids with a playground, splash pad, and lazy river. Adults will enjoy the pool and hot tub as well as pool bar. They often have live music. The spots vary from paved to gravel, back ins and pull throughs. There are also some lake front spots. We prefer to be near the pools because the lake spots are far from the action (which may be preferred for some!) The showers and bathrooms are acceptable but could be cleaned more often. The check in process is a bit awkward especially if you need propane. You have to have an appointment for propane. When you arrive, you check in at the main office. Then they ask you to walk over to another office to check in for your propane which is annoying and unnecessary. They can't just call over to the other office for a customer?! Because once you get to the propane area they just say ok meet you at the propane tank! So now your walked around and waisted 5-8min of your time standing in line etc for what? Poor process. Otherwise we do encourage time spent here as well as the proximity to downtown Savannah and will continue to visit here.

Everything about this RV park was awesome. The pool, the kids pool, the lazy river, the space between RVs and even the tennis and Pickleball courts. The laundry, rooms and fitness area were large enough. They even have an alligator in the pond that acts like a puppy. I still don't trust alligators, though. Lol. we were impressed enough to do a segment on our YouTube channel about it. www.youtube.com/@love4travelTV

It was a beautiful site, right on the lovely lake where we could watch the swans gracefully swim by, There is a bird sanctuary that is part of the lake. We were amazed by all the flying birds at night. We sat outside, lit a fire and barbecued dinner. Normally we are always in a rush, but this time we decided to stay for two nights. The shopping is great and we went to Kroger's and Publix, instead of eating out at a restaurant. Pooler is a large city near by and we were able to get Freckles a jacket at Pet Smart. Dave also bought some things at Home Depot. We had a delightful two nights before heading to South Carolina and heavy traffic. We love the staff here and really feel welcomed when we return.

The staff here is extremely helpful and friendly especially our spotter, he made sure we were all set up and the site worked for our rig. The park sits in a beautiful setting with plenty of shade next to a 35 acre lake that guest have full access to. The location is the perfect place if you're looking to spend some time in nearby Savannah. KOA's are notorious for having very little space between the sites I found the sites here are separated by enough green space between the sites comparably and there's plenty of room to maneuver your rig in and out. This location seems to be very popular with over-nighters and the staff seems to group them together for easy exit. The check-in time is noon so there is a steady flow of campers getting set up until the sun sets. I booked our site using the KOA App which is amazingly easy as was the check-in once we arrived. We did have some solicitation during our stay from RV Detailers looking for work which is a little annoying and I didn't see of the guest during our stay contract this type of work. Considering the location and proximity to Savannah I thought the prices were very reasonable, they also have a fully stocked camp store which is very convenient. I would definitely book a site here again...

Fort McAllister is a Confederate earthen fort built along the Ogeechee River to protect Savannah during the Civil War. It's famous for for withstanding multiple Union naval attacks before ultimately falling during a land ambush in December 1864. By capturing the fort, Union forces had a clear path to the city of Savannah and kick-started Sherman's infamous March to the Sea. Today the park contains a visitors center, a small (but jampacked museum), campgrounds, the historical fort site, and more. The museum may be small, but it's packed with in-depth exhibits. You'll easily pass at least an hour here if you really take your time to read through everything. I especially loved the unexpected Henry Ford connection to the fort. Walking the grounds of the fort was the real highlight though. Fort McAllister is one of the best-preserved earthen forts from the Civil War, and you can explore the ramparts, cannons, and earthworks. Whether you're a casual visitor or a die-hard history buff, this park delivers a great walk in history's footsteps. Highly recommend carving out a few hours here!

I was at this campground which is overpriced for one, for a week. I didn't know how long I would be here at this shutdown I was told somewhere around 7-10 days so I told the lady working the front desk that I would pay for a week and then might need to tack a few days on if need be. A week rolls around I go to the front desk after working all night and I'm ready to go to bed but wanted to pay for a few more days before doing so, she informs me that I have to move my camper to a different spot because someone else is coming in who prefers the spot I'm in even though he will be paying the same price I am. Annoyed I was nice and just told her I had no problem moving because all I do is work and sleep, doesn't matter where I'm parked. I pack up my entire camper to move then I get fully setup in the new spot just as I'm about to go into my camper to go to bed my new neighbor told me about him not having electricity hence the giant industrial generator outside his camper. I go inside my camper to check, I have no electricity. I'm just tired and ready for bed I was very annoyed and went to the office where the front desk lady rudely told me she already had an electrician coming out later that afternoon. This is when I realized she knew all along she was moving me to a spot that was messed up so a new guest would stay. Needless to say I called around and found another campground and got a refund.

My husband and I were staying at this campground for a shut down at the paper mill. We had reserved a spot for an entire week but we told the lady at the office we would probably stay a few days after because we were not sure how long the job would be. We asked her if it was fine if we stayed over our first week and could just pay the remaining days we stayed over when we checked out. She told us that it was perfectly fine. No problem. Well the following Sunday morning we came to our camper after working a 12 hour night shift to the lady telling us we had to move our camper to another spot because they had reserved that one to someone else. Considering we were so tired we just did what she asked without any problem( keep in mind we did this in the pouring rain) just to please them and not start a argument cause we simply wanted to go to sleep because we had to get up and go back into work that night. We got our camper moved literally straight across the lot we were at. My husband called the front desk and made sure one more time before we put all of our stuff out and level our camper if we were going to be able to stay there for two more days and she once again reassured him we would not have to move again the rest of our stay. Well we come in from work the next morning get showers get in bed and just before we fell asleep we get woke up by the manager asking what we were doing there. She very rudely told us were supposed to already be gone and that we had to leave. The lot they moved us to had already been reserved for a month by a man whose camper was being repaired somewhere and they told us that there was a mix up and there was nothing she could do and we had to leave immediately because if the man came back he would be very mad. We were so disgusted by the way we were treated we didn't even try to argue so we packed up and left. The owner of the camp ground was so rude. I have never had an experience at any camp ground like this. We will never be back. I just hope nobody ever has to go through anything like this because it was so hard for us to move our camper two mornings in a row after working all night. Honestly just a terrible managed, money hungry camp ground. Be careful if you decide to stay here you just might get done the same way. By the way if I could chose no stars I would but It wouldn't let me post without star rating it.
