Another terrible experience. They never have cars, and if they do they make it impossible to rent a car. I'm out of state and they're demanding I bring in a pay stub? Are you kidding. I've never had a problem renting with any other car rental place except here. In any state. They say they are all about customer service yet they use tricks and double talk to get you to add things that are not needed. Then when you complain they say they will "take care of this issue" but never do. I have always rented from Enterprise when a need arose ... but I will never again rent from Janesville Enterprise. read more

James at the Janesville Wi. Branch was fabulous. He was genuinely concerned about our safety as we traveled over 3000 miles cross county. James made us feel we were his number one priority. He patiently explained all the SUV's safety features, and Enterprise's wonderful benefits package. I was so reassured knowing Enterprise would come get us day or night if something happened. Just knowing that, made our trip far less stressful. James went far beyond what we ever expected in a car rental company. The car was in good shape, clean and perfect for our road trip. However the salesman that helped us was very unclear of pricing, return dates and sold us the most expensive insurnace without going over any other options. I feel as if I was not given a good deal and not treated very well. If I ever rent from enterprise again I will be expecting a 100% explanation on dates and prices. read more

My husbands car was recently hit so our insurance paid for him to have a rental for 2 days (even though his car has been in the shop for 5 so far and he's without a vehicle). Enterprise is a mess!! They called the next day asking my husband to return the car and charged him for pre-paid gas which wasn't right as he declined the gas and filled it up himself They have no idea what's going on and trying to get this money back is a big hassle. We will never rent a car again even if insurance "pays" for it. read more

Recently I had to rent a car to visit Milwaukee for the weekend. Since I'd always owned my own car, I never had to rent a car before. My car died on me back in the spring, so for the first time I was renting a car. I tried enterprise on Milton avenue in Janesville. The manager was very nice, and the staff is very professional. Even though they were very busy and some of the customers coming in were very rude, and behaving ridiculously, the management remained very professional and respectful. I could not believe the way some people behave! Because I had to wait for a pretty good amount of time for some minor issues that occurred, the management bumped my vehicle up to a beautiful 2015 model at a rate I couldn't believe!!! First trip in 2 years, so I wanted to ride in comfort and a little style wouldn't hurt either. So after booking my car of choice the day arrives and we go to pick up our car. We are a little early car isn't in yet, no problem. We were offered a upgraded vehicle no extra charge, but it was a little more than we felt comfortable to drive. Car arrives they detail it and we are off (A nice clean 2018 Ford Edge Titanium). Now this is riding in comfort and style. 600+ miles and it was pure enjoyment. Any issues we had, a quick call their Tec support was always helpful. Assume sales staff, very helpful. Rent again YES buy that car very good possibility. Husband needed a rental car, he got one. A car that wasn't cleaned out before they gave it to him it had empty soda bottles and cigarette smell along with what looked like an ashtray had been dumped into the cup holder. Next time we will be using Delavan. read more

I made a reservation online for a one day rental and was called the next day three hours before a trip and told a vehicle was not available for a one way trip. I called back immediately and said I would just take it and work something else out. Then I am told there are NO vehicles. By all the reviews, apparently this is common. Then I am told to call the Madison WI offices and see what they have. They are about 45 minutes or more away." Isn't that your job to ensure the customer has a vehicle for their reservation?" It used to be when I used Enterprise years ago. Apparently things are not that way any longer. I used them several times in the past and this will be my last. I called customer service and am told Beloit is the nearest location and I can book with them. I call Beloit to confirm and am told they cannot pick me up (only 15 miles away) So I took a bus and traveled an hour and a half , calling along the way updating my status. I finally called a third time to tell them I needed someone to get me a the bus transfer because I had to transfer for a 3rd or 4th time and would not make it by their closing time.This drive would have been 20 minutes have they picked me up. Once I was there things appeared fine, waited to get processed with other people, was there past close of 5:30, so far so good,.............until it was time to return the vehicle. I am told I should return it by noon the next day before they close. I planned to drop it off in the lot, so have some extra time. so decided to extend the time and keep over the weekend rather than pay for a day and only use for a few hours. The weekend passed, they are closed on Sundays, unfortunately the vehicle sat in my driveway more than I used it because I had no way of returning it and getting home 16 miles from Beloit or my area Janesville 3.2 miles. Apparently they don't want me to return there or offer to help me out by suggesting this. While I sit on hold I hear, "At Enterprise we treat you like family:. We treat you the way you want to be treated". Well actually I don't tell my family, I cannot come get you but will take you to the bus stop. Or, I know I said I was available, but now I am not, you can call someone else?! And ask them to pay for my gas!? I called again today and explained my situation once more, to a area/assistant manager He put me on hold quite a while for some reason? . I state they close at 5:30 and I work till then. He tells me they can" extend the rental two days" and then later calls to inquire why I had not returned the car and asks how I want to handle the balance. They have deducted $365.00 and plan to add on a few hundred more? This is an economy car by the way with minimal insurance no bells and whistles. I call back, and someone yells my name to an associate who tells them to tell me they have left, obviously the manager. I am told they will call the next morning and see if i can return to Janesville, everyone is gone and they are closed? Well Janesville will find the vehicle on their parking lot. I have had it now 10 days and cannot continue to pay for their lack of customer service. The purpose for using Enterprise is because they claim they will pick you up. read more

I was in a car accident today, and the at fault party had Progressive as insurance so I was referred to Enterprise to rent a vehicle. I drive a Chevy Tahoe and wanted to drive a Tahoe as a replacement while my vehicle was being fixed. So, I went to Enterprise and they only had three vehicles available, a Chevy Malibu, a Toyota Corolla, and a Dodge mini van, none of which were in the same class as a Tahoe. I agreed to rent the mini van, but once I got in it I decided to give the keys back because it reeked of cigarette smoke!!!!!!!! I asked the buy if there was another car rental place in town and he told me there as an Avis in South Beloit. As I left Enterprise, my wife googled car rentals in Janesville and sure enough an Avis was across the street in a strip mall. I went to Avis, where the people were dressed more professionally and they had a Tahoe being returned in a few hours. Since progressive doesn't use Avis, I had to put it on my credit car to be reimbursed later, Upon pick up of the Tahoe, it was clean, freshly detailed and didn't smell like smoke! I wont be doing business with Enterprise ever again!!! read more
