I requested a rental car that my insurance would cover while my car was being repaired. I was given a Ford and was called a week later and asked to return it for a Chevrolet. At no time was I ever informed that I would have to pay extra for the first car but was billed $77.88 extra for the Ford. The manager insists I was informed of the extra cost but no such conversation ever took place. I believe that the truth is that they did not have the cheaper car available until they called me eight days later for the vehicle exchange. I had a very tight budget for the weekend of my nephew's recent college graduation. Twice before I had rented from the Lake Wales, FL Enterprise location with excellent customer service, both times being upgraded 2 levels at no extra charge. Naturally, I would return there for this latest rental. I went online Thursday and completed a reservation for their Weekend Compact Special, 3 days at $9.99 per day plus fees. I then called to schedule a pick-up for my 5:00 PM reservation. On Friday, I called as instructed at 4:30 PM and was told the driver would be on his way. At 5:15 PM, I called again to inquire on the driver and was told he had an accident, so they had sent out their Driver #2. He went to the wrong (similar named) street, called at 5:25 PM for directions, and arrived at 5:40 PM. He was polite and apologetic. Once at the office, I had a very brief wait. Processing my reservation received friendly, fast, efficient, professional, and knowledgeable customer service with NO sales pressure to upgrade, buy their insurance package, extend my usage, and no associated hassles. The rep said she had no Compacts ready to go on the lot, so she upgraded me 4 levels to a Premium 2014 Ford Taurus with only 16K miles! (I would have thought my previous late pick-up inconvenience would have been the reason for the upgrade). I am used to driving older vehicles so she took the time necessary to thoroughly review this car's features with me. Upon returning the vehicle, this customer service was also excellent without any issues. The staff working the Lake Wales, FL location changes frequently, but for this specific reservation, prereservation questions were assisted by Marsden. Reservation processing was handled by Misty. The return was completed by Mike. One driver picked me up and the other driver took me home, John and Ralph. All five employees were wonderful. I realize all Enterprise locations do not have excellent employees and, therefore, customer experiences vary. The Lake Wales, FL location is a 5 Star operation which I highly recommend. The more I rent from them the more expensive each time seems to be. My car was at a shop for nearly 2 months. The final time I was supposed to return it 1/4 tank full. So I fill up the tank with 25$- I accidentally ended up filling up the tank to nearly full. I didn't t know the tank was so small. So I was like ok well they should give me some discount and deduct from the price...no they didn't, they gave me a bs discount of 4.95$.... that was messed up...so you got my money of 106.87 for 2 days plus a full tank of gas to make more money off of....thanks... read more

Horrible service! Made a reservation about a month ago for a vehicle. The day we have set they call us 10 minutes before we leave to pick up the car and tell us that they have no vehicle for us because they are sold out. Isn't that the point of a reservation?? Spoke to 3 different people with no resolution. 2 of the 3 people had ghetto attitudes and sounded unprofessional. Drove to a different enterprise location and the lady there was nice but didn't have anything available for a walk-in, since the only cars she had were being held for her reserved clients. (Which is what should have been done for our reservation at the original location!) Ended up going next door to the Avis and was able to get the exact car we had originally reserved at enterprise and for $100 cheaper. GET BETTER EMPLOYEES read more

We rented a vehicle with Enterprise in Lake Wales, FL Although we had a minor wait for the office to open. The only that I could find a small issue with is the cleaning of the cars. We were offered a car that was being returned the same morning we were waiting/renting to leave on our vacation. The car was turned around to fast for a proper cleaning. They kept my $50.00 deposit and charged me $109.92 for insurance that I told them I did not want. Their excuse was that my insurance company did not fax them a declaration page. I checked by phone and in person with my agent and the page was sent twice. Avoid these crooks at all cost. If you insurance company is sending you there ask them for a better choice. We requested via your website a full-size car (Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima) on February 15, 2015. My husband went to pick up the car on March 28. The full-size car offered to him was a Nissan Juke!!! We had a family of four with luggage and golf clubs. There is no trunk space in a Nissan Juke. I cannot believe this vehicle qualified as a full size option. So over the next 2+ hours my husband had to travel with your agent to get a minivan that was having the oil changed. Once he got the minivan, the low tire pressure gauge came on, so the van had to be taken to a local Chrysler dealership. Meanwhile we are on vacation and my husband is spending his morning in your office and driving to get this car fixed that was requested over a month ago! Once the vehicle returned from the dealership my husband asked that it please be cleaned. I guess it was somewhat cleaned, but it was filthy! We hated to touch anything inside the car. In addition, the airbag sensor light would come off/on periodically the entire time we had the vehicle. We have usually been so pleased with the service we receive from Enterprise. This all could have been avoided if a proper full-size vehicle had been waiting for us as requested over a month ago!! My husband wasted valuable time he should have had with his father. I must say after numerous phone calls we were given a $50 credit off our bill for our trouble. But we still have a bad taste in our mouth. Enterprise please offer people the correct size vehicle as requested in the future. read more
