Avoid this location and rent elsewhere. Despite reserving a car weeks in advance, I was notified on the day of pickup that no vehicles were available. I was asked to come in later than my reserved time to allow them more time to find a car. After arriving, and waiting over an additional hour, I was given a downgraded vehicle. Shortly after leaving, the car's electronics began malfunctioning and the displays stopped working, making it unsafe to drive. Customer service was unhelpful. They advised to call other locla enterprises to find a car. After numerous calls was finally told to drive 35 minutes out of my way to the airport to get a car. My reservation was "escalated" and told to wait for a callback that never came. After 4 hours of waiting, I called back and was told my options are to have the car towed and be left without transportation until the next morning--with no guarantee of a replacement. Since the nearest location is less than 15 miles away, they could not escalate to have a vehicle dropped off to me. Problem is this nearest location is closed. The only alternative offered was a 49-mile Uber ride to another location each way, costing me several hours of my vacation to fix their mistake, and still no guarantee of a vehicle. When I explained this was unreasonable, the representative hung up on me. For someone whose business model is car rental, you would think they would have an inventory of cars and a system in place to manage reservations. Enterprise, maybe call Budget, Avis or any other company and ask them how to run your business. Maybe you can learn something. I was left stranded with an unsafe vehicle and no real roadside assistance. This was by far the worst rental experience I've ever had. When my husband and I arrived at the facility, the front desk rep #1 asked us what the issue was, and we told her how the car sounded like it was cutting on and off. She explained that's the energy feature of the newer cars and there's a setting that can be turned off to help with this. However, because we knew the top of the engine was dirty, we still wanted to exchange. She says they normally don't do exchanges, but she'll see what can be done.  That's when I told her, the Enterprise rep on the phone sent us to that location. She then informed us that the largest vehicle they had was a Toyota Rav 4 - which was smaller than the Hyundai Santa Fe.  I said okay we'll take it, maybe we can do another exchange at the airport again - even if it's an inconvenience.  Front desk rep #1 walked away, I'm assuming to start the exchange. Meanwhile I can hear my husband talking outside to another staff. I think his name was Travis. He was informing my husband where to park the car. Later Travis gave my husband the keys to the RAV4 and told him the vehicle was "over there" while pointing to the left end of the parking lot.  There's a loud car wash across the street - and I can visibly see my husband clicking the key fob to see if he could hear the car.   At the same time, another staff member came to the front desk and asked if I needed assistance. I told her yes, but it seems like my husband is having difficulties finding the car. So the new rep says she can help. I said, oh I have questions for the young lady that was helping me before too.  The new rep says, oh she's in the back washing a car.  I said, but I wasn't even finished with this transaction, who does that, start talking to a customer and then walks away to wash a vehicle?  So... the new rep says, well what is your question, maybe I can help and we can also see where is the car.   She did help me and proceeded to help my husband find the car. They were out there for about 3-5 minutes. Then I decided to go outside and help.  At that moment, Travis is walking away from them towards me and says with a very pissed off attitude, "I told him the car was over there". At that moment I yelled at him and told him, "first of all, you didn't do your job! You told my husband the car was over there pointing. You should have walked your ass over there with him and showed him the vehicle, inspected it with him, and asked if we had any concerns. But no, you just said the car was over there!".  Travis then says, "well that's how they do it at the airport, we don't do that here!" At that moment is when I screamed, " NO, that's how they do it at all Enterprises! You just don't know customer service!"  Travis stepped backwards and didn't say anything else and I walked away, completely pissed off. Later my husband tells me that the 2nd female rep couldn't find the car either. When Travis came out there, he told them both that the car was already on. That's the reason why clicking the key fob didn't work and both my husband and the 2nd female rep couldn't hear the car - plus the fact there was a loud car wash across the street. Anywhoo, it would have been nice if while Travis was telling my husband, "the car is over there", he could have also said the car is already on.  My anger lasted for at least 2 hours after picking up the Rav4. Not only are two of the staff at the Lauderhill location not properly trained or understand customer service - more particularly Travis, but there's a larger issue here - racism. Yes, both Travis and I are black, but from my almost 50 years of being on this Earth, I know for a fact that if my husband and I were white customers, we wouldn't have had this experience. Travis wouldn't have pointed and said the car is over there. He would have walked the hypothetical white customer over to the car.  I've sent this complaint to Enterprise management. Wish I could rate them a 0. I'll never use Enterprise again. I had 2 reservations, one in Coral Springs and one in Lauderhill. CS location canceled my reservation and Lauderhill told me they had nothing for me when I showed up for my 1pm pickup. There reservation dept will always tell you they have the vehicle and the local office won't help source what you reserved. However, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle, there was no minivan available--nor any suitable replacement that could accommodate the number of people I needed to transport. Regional manager never responded as promised. They failed to credit me. Had to dispute charges with credit card company. No apologies from anyone. This is the worst car rental place I have been to.  Enterprise is located at 2200 N State Rd. 7 Lauderdale Lakes. I rented cars in third-world countries, and the customer service was better. I wish I could put my comments without a star. I made my reservation online a few days before going to their office to pick up the car. The office was chaotic and disorganized. There were a few customers in the office when I arrived, and other customers came in after me. A staff member asks for my name, and he adds me to the list. A few other customers came in after me, whom the staff attended to, and when I spoke about it and one of the staff became confrontational and was upset. He blatantly called another customer who came in after me and refused to serve me. read more

I previously had some not so great experiences at this location but didn't want to write a bad review. However, they've definitely turned things around with some new staff. Yazmene and Sabrina were extremely helpful in making sure I was able to get the right size SUV that I needed for a very big family vacation. They even allowed me to pick up the car earlier than I had listed on my online reservation, which turned out to be critical in saving me some time before heading on our road trip. The car was clean and sanitized, and there was even a Clorox wipe in case we needed to do additional cleaning. Some of the safety features (blind spot alert) were not working but didn't cause any problems. As long as this team continues providing such great service, I will continue to support them. Looking forward to renting from them again soon. read more

Terrible terrible terrible location. After pre-paying for a car I arrived at 9am to pick up like scheduled and they told me no cars were available and no one could provide a shuttle less than 1 mile to my house. The car was ready at 2:30 pm and smelled like cat pee. Because there were no other cars i was told take it or leave it. Terrible customer service, every time you call it sounds like they're waking up from a nap. The actual location is disgusting too, the office smells, the chairs have stains on them, and the floor looks like it's never been vacuumed or cleaned. Before you can ask a question, you need to call 4 or 5 times. You'll be connected to the branch where you'll be picking up the car, you're told when you speak to someone. Instead, a survey about Enterprise is requested of you. Once the survey is finished, it ends. You try once more because you need a car. And you go through the same scenario over and over again. This has to be one of the worst enterprise locations I've ever been to and I travel for a living and go to enterprise all over the country. This location was just a placed i dropped a vehicle off too and i had more issues with that alone. They tried to say i had damages on a vehicle when the actual location i received the car from admitted i received the car the way I returned. To add insult to injury, they went against the location I rented the car from and customer service and call themselves not closing my reservation out and holding up my deposit. both customer service and the original location I rented from said that the location I returned to have not finalized my rental so it can not be closed out. These illegal practices needs to be investigated and called out for fraud. I'm still waiting to be contacting from a district manager and my deposit is still being held and my contract is open per customer service. The place seem to be ran by inexperienced younger people and very understaffed. The definitely need training in customer service and problem solving. I spoke with one of the managers name Vee when I was there and her disposition was terrible. She didn't even give her real name that was on her card. I guess V was her nickname name. So I'm here practically twice a month and it never fails. Today puts the icing on the cake. I'm told because I made the reservation before they opened that I have to wait till they serve ppl that made reservations weeks/days prior to. Now I get the concept, but I'm the 1st at the door and there's nothing written on the website about this? Let alone they always let you make a reservation but then again they don't have the vehicles available. The location appears to be very understaffed. I left my Sunpass in the rental vehicle and attempted to call Sunday morning 9:32 AM August 20, 2023 to determine whether they had it. My call was put on hold without anyone answering. No one picked up so I hung up after 11 minutes. I called back 12:49 pm. Again the call was immediately placed on hold with no answer. I stayed on the phone and drove to the location where I found one young lady working at the counter with several customers waiting. By this time I was on hold for 12 minutes. When she got to me I first complained about being on hold for so long. It appears that out of annoyance she decided to punish me with an additional wait by requiring me to look up my transporter number before she even looked in the drawer for it. After finding the transporter number she then looked in the drawer to find the transporter wrapped with my name and rental information. This is completely unacceptable. There is much to be desired in customer service from this particular young lady. She has mastered the unhelpful borderline disrespectful passive aggressive demeanor that I suppose keeps her from being held accountable. read more

My wife and I are regular enterprise customers (love Enterprise), renting about 20+ days a year. many times from the Lauderhill location. On our last 10-day reservation a week before the 4 July. I confirmed the night before that I would pickup the car after my wife arrives from Denver (dropping off an Enterprise rental). When we arrived with our family to pick up the car we were told by Tom? that we were past the two-hour limit (by 40 minutes) and he had canceled our reservation. No call--nothing, and he couldn't care less. We had to make other arrangements and delay our family gathering for a day. We had issues before with this location, that I haven't experience on any other all over the country. Although, we will continue using Enterprise, we will avoid this location, even if we have to drive further. read more

During my first visit, I got a car that was decent but not comfortable. I ended up calling Enterprise again because I needed to switch my vehicle. I was greeted by Gino who helped me with my issue. Gino was also very professional and took care of my problem, he ensured that there was vehicle that was available to my liking. Once I went over to the location, the transition process from one vehicle to the other was painless and no problem at all. I was impressed by the staff's service. I received my assistance from Ray during my first visit who was also very cordial and professional. The general manger Chris was extremely rude, and NOT customer service driven. As a manger you should take complaints and push for your store to be better. Instead he has customers in hot son while he sits his in a chair complaining, he only gets up to go inside the store, and makes the rest of his employees do all of the work. He threatened to kick a customer off the property for having a complaint, and disagreeing with him. Fortunately, the Assistant manger Dylan and Chanel was very informative, respectful, generous, and really took the time out to assist customers. I tried to rent a car from here, i made a reservation and was told i would have a driver come pick me up about an hour and a half from the time i made the reservation the driver never showed up, i didn't even get a call. I called the office around 5:30 the time i was scheduled to get picked up to see what was up.. i stayed on the phone for 15 minutes no one picked up. I called again 5 mins later and i get a message saying the location was closed with the business hours.. Now i'm stranded and I cant get a rental anywhere else.. If zero stars were possible I would give it. Rented a car and told the person I declined insurance, was told to sign. Thought I was confirming I declined insurance. When I turned in the car found out I had accepted insurance. I told them I had coverage from my own car insurance as well as the credit card I used to rent the car. Fell on deaf ears. The insurance as almost as much as the 18 day rental. No one was around to help resolve the issue. Called back to the agency and asked to speak to the manager Fred. Told me he would look into the situation and get back to me. That was Friday 2/20. Did hear from him. Called back on Wed 2/18 at 3:00 was told he was out to lunch. Call back today at 5:30. Fred answered. Said he needed to clear his desk and would get back to me in 10 minutes. If not I should call back. I called back at 5:00 and was on hold. Called back at 5:55 and spoke to someone who put me on hold. Called back again and the agency was closed. There is no customer service at this location. read more

Horrible! Slow! I had a reservation and I am a Plus member (I rent cars about every couple of weeks, but had not tried this location yet). Took them 45 minutes to get me in a car. RUDE employee, and was rude to everyone I saw him speak to. Go to another location, or go to the airport (FLL) to get a MUCH better selection of vehicles and friendly faces too. I ended up taking what they gave me to the airport and switching out for the CORRECT class, and one that wasn't making loud noises on the highway and smelled so bad I got a headache! read more
