After calling @ 10:45am to confirm a truck "RESERVATION", I arrived and was told reserved truck given to another customer due an emergency. We are from out of state on vacation and had to put our personal vehicle in the shop on Thursday. We called Enterprise since we had rented from them multiple times. The guy we talked to said he would be getting cars in all evening Friday and lots of returns on Saturday and would be able to help us. We tried calling on Friday and then again Saturday morning. Was on hold for an hour and no one ever picked up so we got a ride to the store. Went in, still on hold, and could hear the phone just ringing. Asked the guy about a rental and mentioned being on hold He laughed and said "yeah you must be one of the ones on the phone that's ringing. We aren't answering those." When we asked about a rental he informed us he wouldn't have anything until Monday, maybe Tuesday. He didn't even look to see if there was anything would be coming in or not and just honestly didn't care. Also, this very same trip, our son was driving an Enterprise rental that he got from our home state. The AC stopped working halfway to Kansas. In 102 degree temperatures and with dogs. They basically told him there wasn't anything they could do to fix it for him. Enterprise USED to be the best rental company around. We rented a lot from them. This business has very poor customer service and values. Had a 1 oclock appointment they were to meet at car repair location. After repeated calls and then a text to the manager, they arrive 45 minutes late. also had me on hold over 20 minutes and never came back to the call. I was to have an intermediate size SUV and they showed up with a toyota camry- a car, no suv. I had a a reason I needed the SUV not when they could get one. The person delivering, was full of excuses. Never mind that i was needing to get back to my job. This place is full of disrespect and then if you are rude or unhappy with them, they will happily refuse to rent you a car and drive off. Their employees also need to learn how to keep their pants zipped up. this place wasn't my choice but was the choice of Geico. seeing all these bad reviews how does enterprise keep their name attached to this group of people. They all need FIRED!!!. Being swamped doesn't warrant poor customer service and show up whenever they feel like it. Manager of the day supposedly is Ryan. He obviously can't fulfill this role. Very poorly run operation, extremely dirty cars, they charge me for a full tank of gas and the gas was only on 3/4 when I got it. I wrote a email to the company and they told me the manager will get back with me.... trying to get some answers from the regional manager....But no luck there neither. The truck was scratched all over, with dents everywhere, when I did my walk around the girl seemed annoyed with me! I average 150+ rental days a year, and I will never again rent from this location. Can't believe the scratches and dents on the Toyota corolla given to me to drive while my car is being repaired. I hope they aren't planning to charge full price for renting a car in this condition. I have used enterprise before while traveling and never seen a car in the lots that look like this. I trade my cars off or sell to a teenager when they look this bad. While at times it is frustrating not to have a car when you need it, I have to say that Ryan, the manager, and his crew always try hard to satisfy the customers. First rental. Rented for trip the week before Easter, returning dsy before Easter. Picked up in evening. Car was kind of dirty but not enough to ask for different car. Next day, left early and by mid day when the sun was overhead, could barely see it of windshield. The inside was filthy so we had to pull over and use napkins to try and clean. Car had odd grinding noise occasionally like a bearing or hub going out. Car made it back though. Called to ask what time they closed the day of return. Was told by rep that they closed at noon and I could leave Key in box when I spotted car off. Then was told I would be charged extra day even though I returned on time. When asked, he said it was because they are closed for Easter and they could not check the car in until next business day. I countered and said that is a ridiculous policy and I rent cars for work travel regularly from other companies and have never encountered a policy like that. After some complaining he agreed to remove charge. Posted review and was asked to call corporate to discuss my issues. I called and they said the Manger of the location would be calling to discuss. Never received call so emailed and was told I should be receiving a call.... No call, ever. A couple of months later I needed another rental so thought I would give this location another chance and rented a mini van. Funny enough, the lady In front of me at the location was there to cancel her reservation because she found out she would be charged an extra day because they were not open the day after her drop off. Rep gave the her the excuse that the policy was put in place because an employee was doing some illegal stuff with a friend posing as a customer or something along those lines. Not sure how this policy addresses that issue but OK. Anyway, Van looked fine but again a little dirty. Not enough to turn away though. Halfway through trip, my friend, who is a mechanic, said the engine sounded horrible at idle. Van made the trip though. He also noticed that the front tires were very worn and rear looked new. Can only assume they do not rotate tires. This is a serious safety issue. When I returned I emailed company about tires. Reply said Manger from location would be contacting me. Guess what? No call or contact at all. So 2 rentals, 2 vehicles with questionable maintenance, which is safety issue, and not the cleanest, 1 elevated discussion with a rep over a ridiculous policy that seems more like a money grab to boost numbers. 0 response from manager of location or offer of any compensation for troubles or apology from location. Hopefully you will have a better experience but don't count on it. The impression left with me is that this location does not care about our safety or satisfaction as long as they keep up their numbers. read more

Very unhappy with recent experience. Had to put car in shop for repairs and needed a car for 2 days. When driver from Enterprise came to pick me up he saw I had a small puppy with me and never said anything about a dog policy. At the counter at Enterprise I saw sign regarding no pets, puppy was with me. When I told the agent I would have to pass on rental he replied don't worry about it, that's okay. When I returned the car with the 8 miles I put on it was informed by a very condescending and rude agent that I was losing my $150.00 deposit because I had allowed a dog in the car. Dog did no damage to car and was on my lap in car so no mess. I understand policies but Enterprise has serious need for proper training of staff. $245.00 for 8 miles was an expensive lesson learned. I have gone to Enterprise for many years in Lees Summit, Missouri. It has been convenient along with being a good experience. However, after dealing with Mike, manager of this particular facility, on Friday, February 22nd 2019, I will never go back. Customer service is so important these days, but yet is very seldom practiced in many situations. Whether the customer is right or wrong, professionalism should always be how you deal with someone. You cannot blame, be condescending, and speak over a customer. I feel he truly should not be in a position where his actions cost the company money by losing customers...because he is not willing to listen attentively and admit perhaps mistakes were made. Not being knowledgeable of your product and giving flippant answers as if who he is speaking to is stupid or uneducated on Enterprise practice/policies clearly shows bad judgement. When I checked it out it showed 273 miles to empty. They argued with me and told me that it was based on how the car was driven. Stupid explanation. Will rent from Budget next time. read more

Brought my car in for a recall at the Honda dealership. It took an hour before I was picked up and finally brought to the rental agency. Why it took an hour to get picked up when the Enterprise was less than a few miles away I have no clue. After that, I was told that I HAD to purchase the extra insurance coverage on my own bill, because I have liability insurance, even though Honda was paying for the rental. After telling the attendant that I do not want the extra coverage I was told that I would not be able to receive a car unless I excepted it. This is utter bullcrap, come to find out because my credit card and liability insurance would cover the rental car anyways if anything were to happen to the vehicle. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! Would not recommend based upon this experience. I am now in talks with Honda attempting them to foot the bill for the insurance coverage because this place does not understand insurance policies. I have always had a great experience at SW Blue Parkway, Lees Summit MO Enterprise till 7/31/2020. Because of the great experience I have become a loyal customer making me a silver member. Till now! The customer service was very unprofessional. I was giving a car downgrade on my car when I heard them providing another customer with an upgrade (free of cost). There was no initiative to accommodate my specific reservation. I was told they can't give me any other car and that the car they were providing was the only car available (as I hear the person behind me get a free upgrade). I received a Nissan Versa which is the cheapest car they carry, at this location. Long story short, I drove the car 11 hours to find out it would begin to shake when I drove over 65 miles per hour and it had some white stuff under the mats. The roadside assistance picked up Lees Summits screw up and got me in a safe clean car. I was sent to Warrensville in Ohio and they were awesome. read more

I was expecting to get a weekly rate instead I got a daily rate WTH. Got the weekly rate in Grandview with a much cleaner, less scratch ,exact same model Dodge Journey. Grandview just happened to be out of cars for the weekend if I could have waited until Monday for a car I would have! We will pick you up!!! Each time I was picked up and dropped off by an extremely nice driver and treated exceptionally while getting my rental vehicle. My car was clean however I was extremely disappointed in the level of customer service. I have used Enterprise as my rental car choice. Several different locations have allowed me turn my keys into the lock box and not charge me the extra day. For example: if I rent a car on Friday at 5:00 and return it on Sunday at 5:00, I am charged a cheaper rate rather than returning it on Monday. This is extremely convenient and helpful, especially if you get in at a reasonable time. This was not the case at this location and I will not be using them in the future. read more

I have rented numerous vehicles from the Lee's Summit location in the past. I reserved a 1/2 ton pickup truck for a trip to Colorado as I needed a receiver hitch for a bicycle rack. Fifteen minutes prior to my scheduled pick up I was called and informed the 1/2 ton pickup they had available did not have a receiver hitch on it; however, a 3/4 ton pickup was available. Obviously, I was not interested in such a large truck for a 1500 mile round trip carrying 2 bicycles. The level of customer service here is dependent upon who is helping you. There are those who will go out of their way to accommodate you and then there are those who hide behind a company policy of we can't guarantee what vehicle you will receive. Regardless, a call 15 minutes prior to pick up (while enroute to their location) is not satisfactory customer service. But then neither is me having to call them back and asking them to check the availability at other locations only to be told on the return telephone call that they were short staffed and I would have to go to the other location to pick it up. I guess I was supposed to be a satisfied customer after receiving the vehicle I originally requested and had to wait for it to be washed and now only an hour behind my schedule for the day. read more
