Used a vehicle from them while my vehicle was at a shop for some repairs. Didn't go to their location because their representative was at the shop already processing rentals for other clients as well, and I dropped off the keys to the shop staff once I picked up my car. There were no enterprise reps there at the time because they don't have a base there. The staff that gave me the vehicle in the beginning was friendly. The process can get quite lengthy when their iPad couldn't connect online to complete the documentation process. The vehicle was fairly clean and easy to drive. There were no surprise charges or anything of the sort. I had a fairly positive experience. Would most likely employ their services in the future should I need them. read more

I'm giving them two stars because we didn't have to wait very long at this location. I would give them one star for the following reasons: 1. We ordered a car in advance online. They did not have the car. 2. They then offered to "upgrade" the car we ordered for the same rate, which sounds really nice, until you realize that a sub-compact is actually a downgrade from a full size (or at least the subcompact has a cheaper rate than the full size.) When we told them that hey, you're making us pay more money than the rate, they played it off as "oh our rates can differ from online." We asked them to lower the rate. 3. They had some sketchy, "It's in my touch up line" statement, and frankly, I don't know what they were doing, but they were acting suspicious, and I would not be surprised if they were trying to make the car look nicer and hide any imperfections (which to be fair, it was raining so scratches weren't as visible anyways.) Anyways, I do not recommend this enterprise. They seem more interested in extracting money than actually helping. read more

I am not a Karen by any means* I'm disgusted with this company and lack of care. I'm 6 months pregnant and your carelessness could have caused an accident or harm to my baby. I'm currently 6 months pregnant like I stated above and we rented a suv from Leesburg enterprise, to go see my family for a our gender reveal. We were heading down the interstate when all of a sudden we heard a strange noise. We pulled over on the side and realized that the whole front bumper had come off. We had been on the road for two hours during the day time and hadn't hit anything...... someone that rented the suv before us obviously did, and enterprise didn't do their job making sure the vehicle was safe. When we got out of the car, we realized there was an eight inch yellow mark on the front fender. My husband went to nascar tech school, and graduated second in his class. We worked/met at a dealership, and my dad did body work for 10 years. We aren't stupid in the fact that we know when a car has been hit. When we took the car back to enterprise the woman told my husband he has to file it under his insurance and then proceeded to argue with him about the yellow mark. She told him someone hitting the fender wouldn't cause the bumper to fall off. He asked her if she knew what clips even are because that statement is false. She blamed him and said that he would have to be responsible for this. I want enterprise to take responsibility for this and to stop trying to blame us for their incompetence. This is ridiculous and could have caused us harm going down the interstate. Do the right thing and I'll removed this review but it deserves to be here after the way we have been treated. The individuals that work at this office are extremely nice and I really want to like this place but so far, the only cars that I've received from them have been in absolutely terrible condition. My most recent experience was with a car that was so old that it probably shouldn't have been in a rental fleet and it started making terrible noises early into our trip. I was lucky that I found another Enterprise location along the way that afforded me the opportunity to swap my vehicle out and that shared in my concern that such a vehicle was even being used still. This place is so convenient so I really want to give them the benefit of the doubt and one more opportunity but another poor experience and I might stop using Enterprise all together. read more

Weeks ago I spoke with a nice associate at Purcellville to make a reservation. Yet when they closed he didnt call me. So I rebooked with Leesburg & thought it was all ok. I arrived early & when the young lady came out No good morning or respectfully using my name even though Id been there before. Then she couldnt find my reservation or the DIRTY CARGO VAN. THEN she gave me a rude lecture about insurance & gave me a high hold on my Credit card. She failed to tell me you need to push in the key to turn it off. No thank you or nothing. I would avoid this rental place and look elsewhere. Had an accident a couple of months ago and insurance company agreed to pay for a rental car. When I went to pick it up they asked if I wanted extra insurance for $60. I agreed as I am very busy and was coming fresh off of an accident. The $60 was based on three days of rental which was requested by insurance company, but I wasn't told this at the time. The repairs took much longer, about three months. When I went back to return the car they charged my card $2000 because the daily insurance had added up. Nowhere on the contract or terms did it say it would continue to be a daily charge. They never reached out to ask if I wanted it to continue. The car's safety inspection and registration had also expired about a month before I take it back and they hadn't bothered to tell me about that either. When I tried to dispute this the manager just went ahead and ran the card on file without even getting my permission. I tried to dispute charges but you know how this goes with big corporations. Since lawyering up would cost more than what I would get out of it I just had to eat the $2000. I would avoid this dishonest company and office. They will knowingly and purposely find a way to rob you and they have a big corporation backing them that's also dealing with their own class-action law suites. read more

I am in shock that this place is allowed to operate and rent cars. Worth 0.0 stars. I had to rent through them due to an insurance claim and my car being fixed. Tony was nice enough when he picked me up and brought me to their shared parking lot. He asked me if I wanted the pickup truck that was outside vs. the one I reserved. I thought it would be fun to try out and agreed. He walked around the car and reviewed a few dents in area around the car...important, bc he never made any indication that we should climb onto anything and look at the roof. I had the car for about a week and returned it to the auto body shop where I picked up my car. A few days later, i received a claim being submitted for damage to the roof...are you kidding me? Never once did they inform me to look at the roof nor did Tony take a look. Surprise! They found of a damage to the roof. Looked like a dent from something being loaded into it for a construction project. For context, I wear a suit to work everyday and only drive if I have meetings. I park in office parks. Shame on them. They say they tried to reach me but admitted to not even looking at the number I gave them when I rented the car. Not too mention, that they never said anything about the scratched up bed of the truck which I did notice. I was told that the bed wasn't relevant to the body. The staff went from nice as can be to downright rude when I questioned them about the dent and I asked for pictures. FYI...the pictures are a little laughable as it look like the dent is right behind the taillight above the bed. Almost looks like the light should have been damaged along with the roof...hmmmm, already replaced the light at some point? My guess is that they used the opportunity to get a dent fixed to one of their cars from a renter that opted to go through his own insurance. I'm disgusted by this company and will never rent another car from them. I will also tell my company not to promote rentals from Enterprise...especially not from this branch! read more

I generally have good experience at Enterprise. We are visiting family in Leesburg and I didn't make a reservation. I thought what's the difference. So, my daughter and I go in, and the sales person brings me to a car that does not look in great shape and says 62 dollars a day. We need the car for 6 days so that's 372 dollars without any other fees. I say that is too expensive, he says ok, I leave. You would think he might offer to save the sale in some way, but no. While I'm in the car looking for place to rent my daughter goes and searches on Enterprise and finds a 290 dollar price. She goes in and asks them why we were quoted one price here while on the website the quote a lower price. Hmm. I'm confused at why the guy didn't offer that price when I was right in front of him. Not good. So I rent from Hertz which is normally more expensive but in this case it is not. They give me a small SUV b/c they are low on cars, life is good, but not at Enterprise. The worst rental car experience ever. They couldn't get the dates correctly for when the insurance and autobody told them. They rented me a vehicle with less than a quarter tank of gas and no working AC in the middle of summer, then tried to give me a vehicle that was not comparable to the one that I have being worked on. After the third time of being pushed around because of their lack of organization and communication in their office, they refused to provide me a rental car due to me being frustrated. I didn't know it's would be this seamless having other experiences with other rentals. Sarah at pick up was kind and informative. I dropped off my car at the shop and had my rental all within 7 minutes!!! Yes I looked at my watch and thought I did all that under 10 minutes. The following day I wanted to trade the rental, I called and Tony said come on by it's not a problem. I got there at Tom was a huge help. Not at all impressed. I am lining up a rental car because of some work I am having done on my car, I am calling 6 days in advance to make the reservation. They tell me to call them two hours before they are supposed to be there to "remind them" that I expect them to meet me at the body shop. Why would I have to call them? If anything shouldn't it be the other way around? I am rather annoyed. I complained about that, and am getting put on eternal hold to talk to a supervisor. RIDICULOUS. read more

I dropped my vehicle off at the dealership to have work done. Because they didn't have a loaner for me, they called Enterprise for me to have a rental car on their dime. Enterprise said they'd pick me up at the dealership in 5 minutes. I waited but nobody came. The dealership called back and was told someone was already en route. So I continued to wait. But since they are located 2 miles down the road....I was confused by the delay. After about 30 minutes, I got tired of waiting, so I had someone take me to the Enterprise lot so I could get a car and GET TO WORK!! Their failure to show up was the first sign that things weren't going to go well with Enterprise. I provided an ID and a cc which I was told wouldn't be charged since the dealership was paying. After about 10 minutes, Hunter drove out an SUV and left it running while we did a quick walk around the vehicle. It looked good. I was told to sign in a number of places and each place I signed he gave me a summary of what I was signing. Never was I 'asked' if I wanted anything - like insurance. In all honesty, that was fine because I'd have declined anyway. But this does have some relevance later in the story so...I wanted to mention it here. I got no instructions on how to operate anything inside the car so I assumed it was your standard vehicle. I adjusted seats and mirrors to suit me and drove the 15 or so miles to work where I parked the car for the day. Fast forward 6.5 hours. I was leaving work. It was 95* outside (literally) and my loaner wouldn't start. No lights. No noise. Nothing. I immediately called Enterprise and spoke to a guy. I explained to him that I have a keychain with 2 keys and 2 remotes on it. That I've tried both keys in every possible position, and that the keys are very odd looking. They are much smaller than a normal key and there is hardly any room to hold the key as I'm turning it in the ignition. I didn't understand why they'd make a key like this. I tried both keys while on the phone with him and still had no luck. He told me the problem was that I had to have my foot on the brake when I start the car and then he began to hang up. I said "Wait! Stay on the phone while I try and see if that works." Of course it didn't, so he put me on hold. Minutes went by like hours as I baked in the 100*+ car. I began to think about the numerous babies who've been left to die in hot cars this summer. I was dripping with sweat and getting more miserable by the minute while on hold. After about 7 minutes, I hung up because I couldn't take the hot car anymore and felt that was too long a wait. I called back and this time I got a girl on the phone. I explained what happened and after asking me a few questions she informed me that because I "declined" insurance, it was basically not their problem. In order to "decline" something, it has to be offered to you. It was never offered! But I won't dwell on this because as stated earlier, I'd have declined if it had been offered since my insurance covers rental cars. My point is that they needed to "offer" before assuming someone is declining! Instead, I was just told to "sign here". Someone else might have wanted and needed it. Moving on... Enterprise told me to call the dealership who was paying for the rental. Or call my own car insurance company for assistance. At this point, it had been about an hour and I was really STEAMED; pun intended. I refused to get stuck with a bill for this, so I did neither one of those. I called Enterprise Road Side Assistance. I waited about an hour from the time of that call for someone to arrive. The guy was going to just try and jump the car immediately without even attempting to start it. So I asked him to please try starting the car first. He got in the car and did the same thing I did. He tried both keys, in both directions. Nothing. Then he picked up the remote (the black thing with buttons on it that locks and unlocks your car from a distance) and plugged it into the ignition - and started the vehicle with no problem!! The freaking keys were not actual keys and the remote was actually a key!! Nobody at Enterprise bothered to mention this rather important detail to me. Thanks for wasting three hours of my day and causing my blood pressure to go through the roof, Enterprise!! I'm nearly 45 years old. I've driven a number of cars in my lifetime and never, ever, EVER have I driven a car with a 'key' like this one. If they'd have taken 10 seconds to explain this to me, this whole fiasco could have been avoided. Instead, I had a POUNDING headache since I hadn't eaten or had anything to drink , was totally stressed and missed an important appointment that evening. Enterprise failed me. They didn't pick me up - as promised. Nor did they properly prepare me to use their vehicle for the day. Even when I called and described the keys I was using (to 2 diff. employees) they didn't figure out the problem and left me to deal with the result of their incompetence. read more

Please read all documents twice and do not call them to update/modify anything during your rental -- they'll tell you one price and you return to a bill that's hundreds more. The only reason I'm giving this location 2 stars instead of one is because I've had no major issues in the past and their staff is overall very friendly. I recently rented a car for one week, Saturday to Saturday. They would not pick me up to get the car because apparently they have staffing issues on Saturdays. I tried to return the car a day early on Friday but they also refused to drop me off at my house because I could not get there a full HOUR before closing. I ended up returning the car Saturday, the day it was due, about 2 hours before they opened because that was the only time my husband could take me before he had to go to work (again, they apparently don't like to pick up on Saturdays). I got a call today from them confirming that all was well with my rental, and was told that I was charged for a week and a day because I returned the car AFTER hours on Saturday. When I explained that I returned the car before they even opened on Saturday, I was told that the manager "didn't remember seeing my car that day." When I again confirmed that I dropped it off early Saturday AM, I was asked if I was SURE it was Saturday and not Sunday. Um yes, I'm sure. I asked if they had any cameras so they can confirm I'm telling the truth, to which they replied no. I was put on hold again and then the rep tells me, "well, my manager isn't sure how that could happen because he doesn't remember seeing your car that day, but we will go ahead and take care of it." Like they are doing me a favor or something by not charging me for a service I didn't use. It is HIGHLY obnoxious to have to explain that I am not, in fact, a liar to a complete stranger. Particularly when the reason we are having this conversation in the the first place is because the manager probably didn't check the drop off box before he came in to work, or he somehow didn't see the keys in there. It is bad business to insinuate your customers are liars, even if you do so politely. I will not go back here again. What's the point, since there seem to be so many caveats to their "we'll pick you up" gimmick. read more

What a day. My car was totaled when I hit a deer. My insurance company was amazing and got me hooked up with the rental company right away. I called and spoke with someone who confirmed my vehicle pick up between 12:30 and 6. It is 4 and I called them about picking my car up. They had given my car away...and they told me it was my fault because I hadn't called them back to confirm. It was already confirmed, and I had called them back after they left a message. I was on hold for 10 minutes before I had to hang up to answer a hotline call for an emergency shelter I work for. Now, I'm stuck with no car and no way to get to work tomorrow. I would never recommend them. Poor poor service. read more

I was staying at the national conference center in Leesburg and some of my coworkers and I decided to give the weekend special here a go here because it was a little bit cheaper than Hertz. BIG mistake. After confirming a 415 pick up time on Friday, the driver was 40 minutes late to pick us up at the NCC. After a pleasant experience with the car over the weekend, the big problems with this place came. On Sunday night, a big snowstorm hit Leesburg, which made the roads pretty sloppy. On Monday, the day we were scheduled to drop the car off, I called Mike, the manager, to confirm that we could drop our cars off as scheduled and get a lift back to our hotel 7 miles away. Mike informed me that they weren't doing drop offs because the roads were in such bad shape. No big deal- the roads really were in bad shape, so I told him I wouldn't mind just waiting until Tuesday to drop the car off. And here's the kicker- mike said that it would be no problem for us to wait until Tuesday, he would just charge us full price for the extra day! So the roads were too dangerous for this Enterprise to keep its promise to give us a lift up the road 7 miles to our hotel, but not too dangerous for us to come in and drop our cars off, or else be rung up for another day! It's not over yet. After all of this, when I finally got there Monday to drop the car off, after being 40 minutes late to pick me up, then welching on his promise to drop me off until his regional manager called him, Mike had the nerve (poor business sense?) to try and tack on a charge for an extra hour because I was 5 minutes late in bringing the car back! This is honestly the first time I have left a negative review on Yelp- usually I just use this site to give some small businesses a pat on the back when they do a good job. But for this place I felt compelled. Avoid this Enterprise at all costs, and go with Hertz if you need a rental in Leesburg. read more

Called Enterprise the morning of the rental and they were able to offer me a substitute vehicle that met my needs.... Picked up a car at Enterprise in Leesburg, Va. to drive to Doylestown, Pa., and when we turned it in we were told there was major damage under the car. We are not mechanics so we did not inspect the car underneath. But, if you want to rip customers off just say there is damage underneath the car where they can not see for themselves. Enterprise is a thieving organization. Make sure you get under the car and inspect everything, because that is how they make their money. Take pictures of everything. read more

I was given a rental from Enterprise while my car was being fixed after being rear ended. I was told by Nationwide (the other driver's insurance) to leave the rental car with the autobody shop when I picked up my car after my car was repaired which I did. Later in the day I got a call from enterprise that there was a scratch on the rental car and I was responsible even though the car was no longer in my possession. They even charged me an administrative fee along with loss of use while the rental car was being repaired for the scratch. Please beware of the fine print and consider the insurance if you aren't handing it off to them directly,which is not how it works when you are set up for car repairs due to accidents caused by others read more
