I rented a car that ended up having a severe shimmy in the front end once 45-50mph was reached. I called the 800 number and was told to exchange the car at the Lincoln airport. After arriving at the airport and explaining the situation to the manager, she was quite rude, said she knew nothing about it & told me to drive to "Omaha or something " (about an hour drive away) I replied no it's not safe and asked something to the effect of, " so it's just my problem then?" Then the manager at the Lincoln Airport enterprise car rental told me to "F-ck off and get out of here " , ending in an argument as I walked away from the counter. I only left one star because it isnt possible to give them 0. I reserved a car for Saturday 26th 2025. I was to make a trip to Oregon for a business deal. I was there to pick the SUV up at 11 AM because the Lincoln, Nebraska enterprise on Cornhusker Circle closes at noon on Saturday. Upon my arrival the employee states that they are giving me a Jeep Compass. Keep in mind i reserved a mid-size SUV. Having been on this planet for six decades i understand the difference between a full size SUV, a mid-size SUV, and a compact SUV. The Ford Avalanche, Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, Cadillac Escalade are considered full size SUV's. The Jeep Grand Cherokee, Ford Bronco sport, toyota 4 runner, are all mid-size SUV's. The Jeep Compass which they tried pushing off on me is classified as a compact SUV not mid-size. When i state that a jeep compass is not a mid-size SUV the employee wants to argue that it is and then states that its all he has. In the interest of getting on the road i enquire if the vehicle at least has navigation, at which point he states he doesnt know. We then head outside to see if the jeep compass has navigation. The employee starts the vehicle so the radio screen will come on and immediately i hear a loud hammering noise coming from underneath the car at which point i asked "whats is that knocking noise". The employee shuts off the engine, gets out, walks around the back of the vehicle to look at the exhaust system i assume. I kneel down on the ground to look under the vehicle from the side and immediatley see a puddle of fluid under the jeep compass and its still leaking fluid onto the ground even though the engine is no longer running and its leaking out right behind the engine. I then walk to the back where the employee is looking at the muffler and he states that he doesnt see anything wrong. I then pointed out the puddle under the engine and the fact that its still leaking so he stands upright and just walks away towards the building instead of popping the hood and checking the engine oil. As he walks away i ask if he has a plane simple mid-size car that runs correct and isnt leaking that he can substitute for the SUV reservation. He points at a tiny black clown car that one would expect to see at a three ring circus side show and states "thats the only one i have". I replied that i cant drive that thing 1300 miles one way across the country. Needless to say my entire business trip had to be terminated and thousands of dollars lost due to the blatant incompetence of the employees at Enterprise Car Rental on Husker Circle Lincoln, Nebraska 68504. When i called Enterprise Corporate to log a complaint and ask them to find me a vehicle so i could get on the road all they did was ask for my email/phone and told me they will try to find a vehicle and will contact me as soon as possible. I did not hear back from Enterprise Corprate at all. At 5 PM central time i decided to drive to Omaha Eppley Airfield to get a car from the Enterprise at the airport. Upon arrival i was told they cant rent me a car because Berkshire Hathaway was in town this week so they were told not to allow the vehicles to leave town. This is blatant discrimination but thats an issue for another time. Do yourself a huge favor, stay far, far away from Enterprise rental Corporation. It doenst matter which city you are in. Use Hertz, Budget, or AVIS and save yourself the grief dealing with these people. This is not an exagerated story, the people at the Cornhusker Circle Enterprise store in Lincoln, Nebraska are complete imbeciles. If youre silly enough to rent a vehicle from them after reading this, you had better check everything from top to bottom before you sign on the dotted line so that you dont end up being held liable for an engine or transmission overhaul on a vehicle that had no oil in it to begin with. Enterprise Rental Corporation literally cost me $15,000 in lost revenue due to their incompetence. We will "NEVER" attempt business with them again. With that said, if you do business with them, dont even bother contacting them after they reply to your negative post here with their generic copy and paste "we care about you" so waste more of your time calling us at corporate and speak to one of our many disinterested Hindi speaking associates. They do NOT care, you will just be wasting more of your precious time. Beyond that, dont bother trying to look up their hours of operation on the internet because the weekend hours shown online are not correct for any of them. read more

I have not seen teamwork run like clockwork in a very long time, but as busy as this rental agency is, the teamwork was evident. We would like to point out that Kyle, Adam and Sophia gave service that was beyond our expectation. They treated us as if we were their only client. I highly recommend this outlet for car rental. The car was handed to us efficiently, the rides to and from the rental place and repair shop were quick--we did not have to wait because of them, and they worked hard to accommodate all of us needing transportation. I rented a minivan two weeks prior to ourVacation. 15 hours prior to us leaving I received a phone call that they did not have a vehicle for us. It was too late to cancel the hotel, cardinals game, gateway arch etc. They didn't care and just said sorry. The next day I called customer service and they said they would call me back. Never heard a word. Extremely disappointed. I'll never rent from them again. I sent en email on June 18 as requested and still never received a response. read more

I had rented a minivan from this location for our family vacation. They called us 15 hours prior to us leaving saying they didn't have a vehicle for us. Of course it was too late to cancel the hotel reservations and try and get our money back for the all the different events that we were doing in St. Louis. I reached out to corporate and they were supposed to contact me by 4 PM trying to find us a vehicle in Omaha. 4 PM came and went and I never heard a word. Worst customer service ever. This was the first time I made a reservation with Enterprise in Lincoln, I have used their services out of state before and never had any issues. I made my reservation weeks prior to needing it, and when I arrived, not only did they not have any cars available for the customer ahead of me, they didn't have my rental either. The representative working informed me they tried to call the day before to confirm that I was coming in, unfortunately I was at work when this happened and once I was off, their store was closed. Perplexed by the statement, I asked if I had picked up the phone and confirmed my reservation, did that imply that I would have had a car rental? The answer wasn't yes, which means that it wouldn't have made a difference. I took work off for this, and had to cancel all reservations made for the following days, which I'm unsure I will receive a refund for due to most places requiring cancellations in a timely manor. Unprofessional and poor customer service is an understatement. I do not recommend renting from here, save your time and try elsewhere. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Right when I left from returning the rental, I remembered an expensive and important item that I left in the car, so I asked to quick go out and get it. I was told that the car was already headed to Chicago so if I wanted to get the item I could just drive there. I would not be surprised at all if one of the staff members stole it based on the way they treat their customers. Got stuck in Lincoln and rented a car to go back home to Chicago and for being under 25 the whole trip still cost about as much as I would've paid for a 10 hour bus ride (which I do not recommend especially if you are over 6 feet tall). The whole experience was painless and the enterprises I picked up from in lincoln and the one I dropped the car off at were transparent and accommodating I got a 2020 Ford Fusion I'm not sure why they don't have at least 3-4 stars but I had a 5 star experience. read more

I reserved an car online thru Expedia. I went to pick car up and was told since I am using Debit Card, I need 3 items,1. an Utility Bill in the last 30 days(My apartment pays for all Utilities ) .2.Proof of Auto Insurance. My insurance card was inside the vehicle in Omaha. 3.Proof of Income (I am self-employed) I explain I live in Bellevue and was in Lincoln headed to an Funeral in Iowa. I also explain this information was not listed on the website under Rules. He said it was listed, which turned out to be an lie by Expedia. Expedia contacted Enterprise to cancel my money for my refund of $50 for Auto Insurance. The website state zero will be billed and it took my money. Expedia stated they will contact Enterprise on why it is not listed and it need to be under Rules so customers like myself would had not be turned away. Or was these rules on having the items made up based on the color of my skin? Similar to having 2 black men arrested for refusing to leave Starbucks in which my color allows for unheard of rules. read more

Worst service ever. Thanks to a young inexperienced manager named Derek Sprout. Enterprise drops off cars and picks up customers per company policy and per advertisements. They always do until Sprout decides he's understaffed for over a week. Not one opportunity to assist this customer. When he was advised the customer would be very unhappy to have to return car to there store rather than the body shop where the customers car was at. His response. "We don't have time and are understaffed I don't care if customer is inconvenienced they must come here!!!" I would not recommend a car from enterprise and as a body shop manger I do a lot of recommending. At the time I posted this he was employed by enterprise but I doubt much longer. read more

The downtown Enterprise in Lincoln is a joke. They are lazy. Tried to rent a car last Friday. I was told they had no cars to rent. Right. Lol. They just didn't want to take the time to go get a car from their other location on 0 street. The parking lot was full of cars at their other location. They just happen to be closed because of the coranaviris. When I got online to rent a car it showed they had plenty of cars. Since I had a car rental with Enterprise on a Sat-Tuesday I decided I wasn't that desperate for a car rental, so I cancelled my car rental I had. My last two experience with the downtown location has been a disaster. Next time I will pay extra and go to Hertz. I have never had a bad experience with Hertz. read more

I have not even rented a vehicle from this outstanding example of a nationwide business and I discover they have no vehicles to rent. Prior to learning this, the very intrusive person on the phone wanted to know where my vehicle was being repaired, the make, model and year. I know that they are using this as a means of insuring payment, and as my insurance is paying most of the bill they are hoping to have a means to insure that the rest of the bill is paid. Terrible service, way too intrusive and no vehicles available to rent. Excellent way to run a rent-a-car company. Maybe in a few days they will have a car that I might be willing to use if they deem me worthy of their time. read more

I have rented from Enterprise for the last several years when I travel. I find their rates to be very competitive and economical I've always rented from Enterprise when I travel to Lincoln, NE. I like the convenience of the location at the corner of 10th & M Street. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The cars are clean. I do wish they would have all the gas tanks filled at the beginning of the rental, but I understand that it's difficult from their location. I encourage to you give Enterprise a try, I think they will win you over. read more

They were very helpful and saw that we had been charged a daily rate (evidently original agreement we signed was for 4 days) and when we needed to extend the length of time we were still charged the daily rate. I got to tracys body shop early to pick up my rented suv.when I got there enterprise rep.alonzo said he had made an honest mistake and gave my suv to someone else and I would have to take a car.i told him I had stated repeatedly when making arrangements that I needed an suv.he told me there weren't any other suvs and I had to take the car.i was upset.he told me he did not have to rent me any vehicle.tracys called enterprise and an suv showed up in 5 min.alonzo told tracys that I was unprofessional .Alonzo did waive me having to return the suv with a full tank and repeated he was sorry for his honest mistake.BUT telling your customer that THEY'RE unprofessional after YOU made a mistake.i think you need to give your guy a little more training.when I asked about car registration he said it wasn't in the car he would send it in an email.which I never received. My car got totaled a couple weeks ago and my insurance company lined up a car to rent until I found a new car or other arrangements. They sent us to Enterprise and the experience was HORRIBLE!!! Yo start off, they asked if we had full coverage which we did and fully covered a rental car. They called my insurance company right in front of us and asked them about their coverage plan with me and they even repeated it saying I had full coverage. They told us we had to have their insurance plan for either the basic coverage which they said was $20 or the more complex coverage for $40. I'm a pretty safe driver so only got the basic. They NEVER disclosed that the $20 was going to be $20 per day. They also said that the insurance plan was REQUIRED, but if you look through the paperwork, in small writing, it says "I have accepted this OPTIONAL coverage". They lied about the price which happened to be over $20 and they also lied about the insurance being required to get more money out of you. When I returned the car, I gave them a call and let them know I was taking it to the dealership where I got my new car and was a trusted dealership for them to pick it up at, and they told me that was fine and that they would send me a physical bill for the car. Two days later, my account is drawn negative because they took out the money from my account WITHOUT my authorization!! They first took out $94 and then $160. They also NEVER returned the $50 safety deposit that they said was going to be redeposited into my account when the car got returned. They screwed me over to hell and back and I will NEVER go back to them for anything again. If anything ever happens to my car to where I need a rental, I would much rather walk through pouring rain, sleet or even a blizzard before I ever get anything from them again!! They are a total joke of a rental company and I do NOT recommend hem to anyone unless they like getting bent over backwards and screwed. read more

Staff is always friendly. Cars are clean & I often get an upgrade when cars are in short supply. Any issues I've had are with the airport rentals, not the downtown location. Renting downtown saves on time and junk fees! Taxes on airport locations can be 30% - much lower at satellite locations. read more
