For one, I was on a semi-tight schedule since I was heading out of town, so the lack of communication on the part of the Hurstbourne location didn't make me happy. Especially as I had called to tell them I was actually running early, they could come on ahead, and they said THEY were on the way. Less than 2 minutes later, I receive a call from the Ten Pin location asking if I was ready and verifying my pickup location. Surprised, I told them I'd just spoken to Hurstbourne and they supposedly also had a driver who was "on the way." I told Ten Pin to come ahead, called Hurstbourne back, explained I was not happy with not so much the transfer but NOT BEING INFORMED WHEN I CALLED. I received an apology. That was that. I've used the Ten Pin location on one other occasion. The driver - who is an associate in training - also apologized; he only knew all the paperwork had been transferred to them because they're "closer." (The adage of six of one, half dozen of another comes to mind). The associate was polite and efficient in getting me to their office. The vehicle he used for pickup was going to be mine for the next two-days, so he completed my check-in IN THE CAR (since they used tablets), we did the walk-around to look for and document any damages over 6", he went inside to get my documentation off the printer. That's it. I didn't need to go inside at all, and was on the road 10 minutes before I planned. The car itself - a Hyundai Elantra ran beautifully with no complaints. I returned the car on this date. Despite there being only 2 associates and two customers ahead of me, I received a speedy check-in, and their driver dropped a gentleman at a nearby repair facility, and then I was taken home. The driver was also friendly. So I may start using Ten Pin on a regular basis when I do a neighborhood rental. A lot of wasted time could have been saved had Hurstbourne said in advance - during the 2 times I called them to verify things - "oh, we're going to transfer you to Ten Pin as it may be more convenient for you." I would have been fine. You don't change things last minute without warning and have nothing to add but an "oops." Other than that, it was a good rental.

My house project was a 6ft privacy fence so our puppy could run free in the back yard. I had about 40 holes to dig and I knew a regular set of post hole diggers would not cut it. I knew I needed to rent a commercial auger. The rental was simple. I called them on the phone and reserved the two person auger for a one day rental. The next day I stopped in and with a copy of my drivers license, credit card, and a signature, they loaded the machine in the bed of my truck for me, all for $70 Now here's the reason I gave them a 5 star. Sometimes I can be a forgetful person. Sadly this was one of those time. After I finished digging the holes I put the auger in my shed and there is where it sat for an extra day. I was so mad at myself for wasting $70 more than what I was supposed to pay. So after my now two day rental I drove it back to Sunbelt with my head hanging, disappointed in myself. While the sales man and I carried the auger back inside I was telling him my unfortunate story. When it came time to settle up on my bill I was floored when he told me he was not going to charge me for the second day. That turned my crappy day around and I was ecstatic!! No I can't promise this will happen with everyone but the gesture has turned me into a future customer of Sunbelts. Not only do the have your small project tools but if you're really needing to make be some dirt, you can rent a backhoe, trackhoe, or a bobcat! They have some real heavy equipment to rent.
