I rented a car through Priceline for a SUV to be picked up at Hertz. Lady from Hertz calls me about…read morean hour before pickup saying all we got is a full size truck. I told her no, that is not what I ordered & asked her to cancel. She stated for me to cancel I gotta go through who I ordered from. So I go back to Priceline website and note that my order is 'express'...meaning non refundable, can't cancel. Well, guess I'm driving a truck after all. I get to Hertz, give my info to the lady, she states "I though you didn't want the truck?" I told her "I don't but it's express, I can't refund." "We'll we don't have it," she states. So the vehicle I reserved (that I can't cancel) was given to someone else, awesome!...and what do ya know, I ended up getting a refund on a non refundable purchase...sometimes the sun does shine...never again.

In order to rent another vehicle, I was forced to accept an additional charge of $500 to cover the deductible on my insurance. I returned the car four days later in perfect shape and with a full gas tank. I was not refunded the $500. I have called three times over the past month and was told that the refund was being processed as we spoke. The refund has still not been received despite a letter from the insurance company of the driver at fault that they accept responsibility. I have wasted over 6 hours on the phone trying to deal with this. The mark of a good company is how they handle problems that arise. Enterprise has not only mishandled my claim, they have outright lied when they claimed that the refund was being processed as we spoke. Do not trust this company and take your business elsewhere.

When I reached out for help, Budget suggested we wait 4-5 hours, but my priority was my children's safety. The police had to intervene to arrange for a tow. After 30 hours of waiting and countless phone calls, we received absolutely zero assistance. The best solution we were offered was a vehicle 100 miles away, with no transportation provided to get there. After finally getting a CSR to confirm that the breakdown was not our fault, we were directed to the Lynchburg airport for a replacement vehicle. However, when we arrived, the representative, Jennifer, flatly refused to help us. Despite her confirming there being five vehicles available, she wouldn't even look up our case ID or acknowledge our situation, insisting, "Those are reserved for my customers," to which I responded, "Am I not a customer?" Her unhelpful demeanor only exacerbated the situation. As someone who works in logistics, I understand that issues can arise, but the lack of resolution and the runaround we experienced is unacceptable. Roadside assistance told us to contact Customer Service, and then CS claimed that only Roadside could assist us. We were tossed between departments, with each one washing their hands of responsibility. Not only did we feel entirely disregarded, but we were treated as if we weren't customers at all. You effectively ruined my children's vacation. We spent $3,600 on plane tickets and an Airbnb that we could not reach, and then incurred an additional $1,200 to get home from the nearest airport where we broke down. All of this, in the face of being told we simply don't matter. I am compelled to share this awful experience with anyone who will listen, and I will make sure to warn others to stay far away from Budget.

I checked with the other counters and none of them had cars ,so I was stuck waiting for this company. When the lady finally did show up, she was very nice and polite and got the paperwork done as quick as possible. This just reflects so negatively on this company and this location!!! STOP BEING CHEAP AND HIRE MORE PEOPLE!! And now that I'm in the car, I will also say it wasn't even cleaned. The floors were vacuumed and that's it.
