Went in for a scheduled car rental for a trip up to Zion National Park. It was a Thursday and surprisingly they were pretty busy, so they didn't have a car available at the moment. Pang was great in communicating with me and keeping me posted on the time it would take for a vehicle to arrive. Needless to say, the wait wasn't bad, he suggested places to visit while in Zion. He upgraded me to a hybrid Toyota RAV4 that was perfect for my trip. Very satisfied with my car rental experience and will keep renting from this location. read more

I came here to rent a car. Service was good. Since it was the end of the week, there seemed to be a limited selection of cars. When I came back at the beginning of the week, there was literally no parking space left. The rental wasn't cheap. And another downside was that this place is are closed on Sunday (and Alhambra location closes at 12 pm on Sunday). read more

WORST Enterprise i have ever been to. Recently they changed the entire staff and this nee staff is absolutely THE WORST. Unprofessional, rude, confrontational, and they do NOT know what theyre doing. I needed a rental while my car was being repaired and thankfully this Enterprise location was close to home. They really go out of there way to get me in the right car for the price. Cars are always clean.

Pretty bad experience overall.. 1. This location never picks up their call, so it's always a gamble going there, let alone requesting for shuttle service. Don't even bother wasting your time on hold. 2. Booked a car online and was told they overbooked upon arrival. Had to opt for their more expensive "elite" car with LIMITED milage. See #1. 3. When checking out, the lady charged me over $100 extra and was doubting my math when asked (simple multiplication). Quote, "It's the tax." LOL! Be very diligent when renting here and check every line items. Employees here WILL mess up. 4. Upon returning, they also tried to charge me $1,200 for exceeding milage limit (said I drove over 1,800 miles vs actual distance of ~400 miles), which was physically impossible for my SD trip. Once again, the employee was adamant about the number being right.. But to be fair, despite the employees' total incompetency and lack of common sense, their manager Jose did help and ultimately fixed the mistakes his team made. I went to return my car in the morning, and after receiving a text from the "manager" of Enterprise (most likely a bot, as seen in my earlier reviews) I decided to fire a text to see how long I could expect to wait at their office when returning the vehicle. No response. At that point, I just wanted to get things over with. I drove to Enterprise to drop off the vehicle, and there was already about half a dozen people waiting for their cars. I parked in their lot, walked in, and told the employee managing the front desk that I was there to return my car. She asked me for the keys, and we went to look over the vehicle. It's worth mentioning that I had never dealt with this employee before. She briefly checked the vehicle and referred to her tablet to check some of my information. After making sure everything was squared away, she walked me through the payment. According to this employee, I would be getting a free tank of gas and a $10 discount per day of my rental. However, if you've been reading the rest of my saga with Enterprise, you'll remember that I was also promised a free day of rental to make up for my roughly two hour wait when I arrived to pick up the vehicle in the first place. Unfortunately (and as I expected) this employee was adamant that I had been promised no such thing, as nothing had been written down in her notes. On the day I went in to rent my vehicle with Enterprise, I had to wait for about two hours while a belligerent customer tried to take my car right from under me. After my long wait, I was promised that I would A: Have $10 deducted from my daily rental rate; B: Not have to fill up the tank of gas upon my return; and C: Have a whole day of my rental compensated. Now, I was face to face with an employee who claimed she knew nothing about the free day (coincidentally the heftiest financial recompense that was offered to me) and when I told her that I should be discounted for a full day of my rental, she tried to brush me off. She said there was nothing in her notes that indicated the discount, and she seemed like she was hoping I wouldn't press the matter. Fortunately, just then, the employee who had helped me a few days ago walked out of the office. I recognized him immediately, and waved him over. He spoke to the second employee on my behalf and confirmed that I should be discounted for a full day of my rental. If it wasn't for his intervention, I would have had to spend even more time at the Montebello Enterprise. This employee's name is Julio. Out of my entire horrible experience at the Montebello Enterprise, he was the only good thing. He was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make sure I got something for my trouble. I actually told him this as we waited for the second employee to go back into the office and update my payment information. I also told him that he deserves to be working somewhere much better. I'm worried about putting his name down in my review because I don't want him to experience any kind of retaliation from what is obviously a very harsh and uncaring office. But, he certainly deserves credit for helping me out. If he needs a letter of recommendation or anything, maybe he can hit me up on Yelp and I'll return the favor. After Julio went to go take care of what I could only imagine to be yet another catastrophe, I went back inside to get my printed receipt. The second employee (the one who was convinced that I was not supposed to receive a free day of my rental) was taking a long time to print it out, but even though I requested an emailed receipt, I wanted a printed one for my records. I waited in that office for another five minutes before she handed it to me. I was finally free. - - - My sincerest thanks to Julio for helping me out. Had the entire return process gone smoothly, I would have bumped my review up to two stars. Unfortunately, employee number 2 decided to jerk me around some more over what should have been my compensation for hilariously bad service. Shame I never got her name. As a fun postscript, I was also finally emailed back by Enterprise customer support. I'll probably just copy/paste this entire review, since she's asking me for more details about my negative experience. If you've read this far, thanks for sticking with me. Horrible! Stay clear! They rented me a car with the autorization that the repair shop would pay for it. A year later they are trying to charge me because the repair shop hasn't paid them. On top of that they rented me two cars that the battery died and I had to use my AAA to get a jump. Then they rented me a car with a bubble on the tire and said it was safe to drive like that. read more

Came here for a rental. They were fully booked but they were eventually able to find me a car. The car obviously was not washed since it was still dirty from the prior renter. This rating is more for a specific person rather than the location. Nick Garcia, part of the management team, really saved a "getaway" weekend for me and my dad. After arriving a few minutes after their Saturday hours, and with the door already locked, Nick still received and honored my reservation for an SUV. I have been in other Enterprise locations (outside of CA) where I even called in advance to let them know I was minutes away, only to have them closed and gone for the day leaving me stranded. Imagine planning a whole weekend get away. You reserve one week In advance and then the day you have to pick up the car to get your vacation started, Enterprise tells you that they don't Have the car that you reserved (a 7 seater) that they ONLY have 4 seater cars. The manager says there is nothing that she can do. That they called affiliate enterprises and "no one had any 7 seater vehicles available." I took initiative to go to the enterprise in Pico and got a last minute rental for the mini van I had originally booked for the reservation at the Monterey Park Enterprise. In other words DO NOT RELY ON THESE PEOPLE. You will be heavily let down and running around like a chicken last minute. They have horrible customer service and heavy wait times. They told me "you can sit around and wait to see if a van comes?" I want to report them to the BBB. read more

If you have sensitive ears, don't come to this location directly facing the 60 Pomona Freeway. The entire block feels like its in a wind tunnel, a high pitch screech from the never ending high speed traffic. The people however are friendly, pleasant and efficient. The office is tiny so you have to be attended to outdoors. They came and picked me up at the garage that was fixing my car, so I appreciated that. read more

I got home and I remember I left my sunglass in the truck, but when I called them they were closed already so I call them next day and they said they check the truck and my sun glass is not there. I rent a car on this location trough my insurance, firstly they didn't have a nice variety to choose from which I really understand maybe was a busy week, then I choose from the cars that they have on lot and they have two Audi SUVs one with a "recall" and the other with sensor problems so I need it to choose another type , I end up choosing a Toyota RAV4 with the promise a soon they have the Audi back they will call me , I took the Toyota not even 40 minutes after I notice every time you will go out the car will shock you, then car was real dirty, so I decided to take it back and switch it , trying to be polite, I just told them you know the car is not for me I'll like to switch it for something else I get there and I notice the attitude of the front desk lady that was helping us, so I decided to mention the real reasons and she respond "well we like transparency so next time just tell I got a dirty car" , and respond it is not only the dirty but is shocking us and she's gave a sarcastic smile, then I choose another car and they were looking for the keys they couldn't find them , so I end up asking to talk to the manager, manager comes out en tell me the only available at the time was the mini vans , I didn't have an option but to take it, but they Will still call me when they have something available meaning the Audi suv or something similar , after a week I didn't get a call so I decided to show up, they had plenty of cars but according to them the one I want was 8 dollars more of my insurance payment, after he told me to choose anything, manager didn't come up to talk about it but send somebody else , really disappointed of this location. read more

I have rented here 5-7 times in the past and because it's close to my house I keep coming back even though the wait is terrible. I reserved a car a month in advance, came in on time to pick up my car and each and every time had to wait for my car to be "ready". Today is the worst, came in at 9 am as my reservation is that time and it's now 9:48 AM and am still waiting for my car to be driven to the lot from another location. This is so unprofessional! They called me two days ago to confirm and knowing that I would arrive at 9 AM, they still don't have a car? The representatives here are very nice, but I don't know how they operate this location without customer complaints. I will consider my options the next time I rent again as this wait is very unacceptable. We need to be on the road for our trip by 10 AM and I'm still sitting here waiting for the car to arrive. Very frustrating. Btw, 2 stars instead of 1 because the people are nice and I suspect it's not their fault but rather the management. read more

These people STOLE my late grandma's earrings from the car! Some shady business going on here. I left diamond earrings in my car and called immediately after I left the lot. Left 8 messages, talked to 3 reps, even messaged the regional office, but NO ONE EVER CALLS ME BACK. You know something fishy is going on when you actually finally got to talk to a rep on the phone and the convo goes down like this: Me: I returned a car rental on Tuesday and I left my earrings in there Rep: *immediately, no hesitation* there's nothing in the lost and found Me: *suspicious now, bc would be IMPOSSIBLE to have even checked the lost and found in that half second....* um, well it's really small so it probably would be hard to find - Rep: *cuts me off* we will call you back. Me: a call back would be great, considering I've called 5 times now and no one actually ever calls me back Rep: *laughs* sorry, we will call you back. It's been TWENTY FOUR days y'all! No call back!and what makes me SO ANGRY is the 7 million times they asked me for my contact information telling me someone will call me back. Can y'all stop lying to me!? The service was good. It did take a while to get me a car but I understand that because it was busy. The only problem I had was that the interior of the car was pretty dirty, the cloth seats were stained and it had a weird unpleasant smell inside. I really wouldn't have mind if they took a little more time in cleaning the seats. I planned on using the car more but I couldn't really tolerate the smell and I only drove 21 miles on the car. I was given a credit of $30 but now I know next time I will try to push for a cleaner car because at the end of the day I'm also paying for quality service. read more

I reserved car and showed up to get car only to be told that car not available and that they had been trying to reach me but there was no calls or email message to me so the person straight up lied and then said we didn't have my number. I had a family trip planned and needed car since my own car was in auto shop. They didn't even seem to care or offer another car and told me mini van wasn't available but they had mini van in parking lot. I truly believe they gave my reservation to someone else. Came to this Enterprise after needing to pick up a rental car for the day after waiting for my car to get serviced at the dealership. The store itself is pretty small. There's only 5 chairs or so in the lobby so it's definitely cozy. Once I got in, Erica took down my name and then helped the guests that came in before me. They looked at all my paperwork and then had one of the other team members to check out what kind of car they had available for me. We went through the usual process of seeing if there was damage on the car, and if the size was bigger than the this card that they carry that's probably like a 1-2 inch radius. It's been a while since I've rented from Enterprise and now they have tablets instead of a carbon copy of the forms. The return process was really quick and easy for me. I returned my keys and then they made sure everything was in working order. They even had one of the shuttle drivers take me back to the dealership that was a freeway exit away. As of five days ago restrictions have been lifted in California, my review reflects This recent change. I travel quite a bit for work, so I am very familiar with the rental car process and typically use Enterprise given their prices are reasonable & have better decent customer service, but this location has by far been the least efficient Enterprise I've been to. After waiting for close to thirty minutes--15 mins to first register despite already having a reservation & 15 minutes after registering--I walked up to inquire if they were understaffed given the long wait. The employee told me they had 3 people on staff snd that they were busy with other customers that arrived before us...flat out lie....we were there for 30 mins and saw no one being attended on the lot, no rental cars arriving, none leaving. The employee checked his tablet & told me I had been waiting for 12 mins ago. Dude, sure, 12 mins...but after waiting 15 mins to first register. Bottom line, the employee seemed dismissive of my wait time & challenged my inquiry....I guess efficiency & customer service aren't a priority at this location. read more

After waiting for a while to get help I had to go to a different location where the car was at, weird but okay. Got the car, and returned the car where I got it (at the second location) which is fine no big deal. But driving there at 5:00 trying to get there before they close at 6 assuming I have to drop off the car where I got it (At the second location) sure i have plenty of time. But after talking to them on the phone about when I'm going to drop off the car I tell them I'm on my way and no one bothers to tell me I have to drop off the car at the first location. Okay now I have to drive to the first location which isn't very far at all but I have to be there before they close and then make it on time so they can give me a ride back to the dealership where my car actually was. Other wise what else am I suppose to do? Anyways I still got the ride and the guy insisted on finding out if I was satisfied I said no and didn't think much of it. Honestly not the kind of person to make a big deal but I didn't like how the guy at the end insisted on knowing my issue as if by me telling them how I wasn't happy would make a difference on my time wasted. I was just annoyed that they didn't think to inform me. And then he was like "if It was picked up here then you drop it off here" which if he actually listened to my story he would know I picked it up at the second location.
