From the beginning, this has been a seamless process with Apex. They were open on a Saturday, so I decided to go with them as a referral. The workers are so helpful and accommodating. I legit got a new car with only 53 miles and felt so safe, which was a huge concern for me after the accident. 14 days later, I dropped my car off and they quickly followed up to bill my insurance on the same day. Wow, my go-to whenever I need a rental whether it's due from accidents or just need a getaway. Annie and Troy have been so helpful. I was told to come here initially by my lawyer from an accident and since then, they have been my default. Small company consisting about 4 employees. Super friendly customer service and very accomodating. Prices are cheap and the vehicles are stock. The rentals here are mainly to replace daily driver vehicles. If you need to a car to commute or drive long distance in the state of california, then this place is for you. If you want to be fancy then you might want to try the big boy companies. So far I have rented an elantra, forte, and a versa. All new models, clean, and organized. Their main brands are Nissan, Ford, and Hyundai. They do a run through process with you to ensure both parties are familiar with scratches and dents. So keep a lookout yourself. Overall happy I found this place, I'm always able to converse with the employees casually. read more

This review is for my experience a few months back. I had a reservation at Enterprise to rent a car for EDC Vegas weekend. When I arrived, the store was closed! They never even called to make sure if I was coming...Panicking about my ruined weekend, I quickly went on Yelp to find a place open where I could rent a car last minute for a good price. Apex was perfect! Amazing service and excellent prices! They got me a car with an even better price than what I was going to receive at Enterprise. The car was very new and clean. By far the best experience I've had with a car rental store. They have a great selection of cars to choose from, as well as VERY HELPFUL car rental specialist. Came in on a Tuesday and spoke with Annie. This young lady sure does know her stuff. She got me scheduled in for a vehicle rental fast and at a very competitive price. Great selection. Dousing summer time every car rental was out of economy cars. Enterprise, Avis, and hertz. I stumbled on apex through yelp.. they had plenty of cars in stock and made the process so quick and simple. Had my car accident a while back and tried this rental company out. Even though this is a small rental company, the customer service is phenomenal! They told me all the details before I rented the car, and made all the paper work process efficient and quick. I got a Nissan Sentra with only 3000 miles on it, so I felt safe knowing I was driving quite a new car. And a small fuel efficient car was exactly what I needed. Because of my experience with them, when my mom had a car accident as well, I took my mom here and rented their car. Still, everything was simple and fast. When we returned our car, they offered a ride to us for free. I am very satisfied with their customer service. If ever I need to rent a car again, I will choose this place again. read more

This will be the 3rd time I have rented from this place and they are awesome. Troy and Annie have provided phenomenal service every time I have come here. Annie gets me in and out quickly and always ensures we're comfortable with the car we are getting. Troy is really cool. He's been the one driving me to and from the body shop every time I've rented and he's easy to talk to. He's also very careful; the 2nd time I rented from them I left my garage remote in the car and after he dropped me off at the body shop he came back to give me the remote. I was very happy that he came back to give me the remote cause my mom would've not been happy if I had lost it. I will definitely rent from this place again and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a rental. read more

The most unethical car rental company. I had to file a complaint with BBB. Then surprise, there is only one car available. It is a car with prior damage on the front bumper. Regardless, they rented it to me without disclosing this damage and demanded that I pay for it when I returned the car. I had to pay an extra $800 on top of the rental fee. I would never rent from Apex ever! read more

One of the few car rentals that will make you want to come back again in SGV. First off, the employees are nice and friendly (Annie and Troy) great customer service. I was getting my car repaired at a body shop in El Monte, they picked me up and dropped me back off to the body shop when I returned the car. The only complaint I have is the office could be cleaner, but I mean you're only going to be there for 10 minutes anyway so it doesn't really matter. Overall, I would come here again if I need to rent a car again, highly recommend! read more

I do write yelp review to help others and business. I have gotten so much help from yelp review so I should do that same. My review is the as truth as it can get. First of all I am feeling very uncomfortable writing this. Okay this is my experience from this place. This was the very first time I had rent the car in my life. As always, I went to yelp and looked around the rental company and came across this place. Then I called and lady helped me. She is very nice and everything just went well and after 10 min I was able to get the car. Then this gentlemen went over the car with me including current scratches rather briefly. Then I got the car.... Until I returned the car, I was the slowest driver and safest driver in the planet. I drove very slow and I just went to work and did not stop at anyplace.. I was as careful as I can. Then I returned car then lady went over the car and look underneath of front car and said "here is scratch" Did you hit the car to somewhere? I said "definitely not" then she goes this car is low it is easy to scratch when there is bump on the street. It is good that you have insurance we will claim about this..." and I said "What??? I do not want anything go through insurance which I even do not dream of doing it. Then she said" oh it's okay we will not claim for it" Well, here are several problems 1) Before rent the car, why not gentlemen did not warm me that this car is low very careful when street is not in good condition. 2) Why not Lady offer me different car? Car a lot taller than this one. She said more expensive... Would I have paid more to get taller car?? Absolutely YES.. I am a very sensitive when comes to using other person's product and I get very stressed. So Yes I will pay more for less stress. 3) Why not take pictures of cars and send to my phone or email so I can compare after I return the car. If they took 10 pictures of different area of car and I came back and see the different then I will admit my mistake but if that's not the case then how can I say " No problem just use my insurance." You know every time use any kind of insurance they will contact you and usually there are side effects to it.. I do not want to go through that.. You just never know what will it happen Summary I do understand that lady and gentlemen is working hard and had to do what they had to do, but this really made my feel uncomfortable. I tried best I can to take care of the car and ended up like this is not really good deal. I had to go through lots of stressful driving while I was driving this car. Q1. Would I go back to this place again? A I am sorry probably not . I am too afraid to drive any of cars from there. Q2. Would I rent the car again? A Yes if I had to... I mean no doubt it was convenient to have a car because my work require lots of stuff in car. But I would make sure and take pictures of every parts of car. Not only the outside of underneath the car and tire and everything. Suggestions:: 1) When you go over the car make sure do with same person when you rent and when you return. It can get really confusing. 2) get taller car so will not get accused of scratching bottom part of bumper car. 3) Get older car-- I have suggested to give me older car so i will not have pressure but they said it's okay.... 4) if it's local and just few days then use Uber,,, I had wonderful experience with Uber. I paid only $20 total for my trip.... If I did use the Uber for everything then probably I end up using $50-60... Car rental of $32..... You know if this was coming I would have use Uber in hurry. Car rental is cheap because they make money by charging current renters for preexisting car damages. The rental rep would quote low rates to get you in and when the car is ready to get off their parking lot, the rental rep would conduct surrounding and standing only eyes inpection of the rented vehicle. He would then made the experience to be helpful by noting small markers and scatches on the car bumpers based on his and your observation at a standing position. Then you agreed with honesty and experiences by signing the damage observation agreement. When you return the rentef vehicle the rep would a full inspection from above the bumpers and underneath the car. At that point, they inform you they had notice scatches underneath the car bumpers. Then they prevent to call an auto body person for a quote to repair and made the conversation appeas to be helping you by pleading with an unknown body shop person for a discount on the repair. Last they tell you that you cannot prostest or contest because you agreef and signed inspection contract stating you notice no damages when you rented the vehicle. Finally they want cash for the repair. Never visit this place. And if this happen to you don't pay with cash, instead use credit card so the rental rep cannot distroy the records and pocket your repair payment. There's no such things as good rate because they have other ways to make up for the discounted rates. read more
