This location was doing really well until a recent Manager left, Jonathan. He was top notch and always helped out where he could. I'm forced to use this location for business every month - often multiple times a month. This place has gone severely down hill. First, forget trying to get a car on short notice here even if your business demands you need a rental for travel. Even when I am able to secure a rental through the online portal in advance, they like to call the night before to let me know there will be no rental car available for me. My favorite is when they tell me they won't have one at 8AM but if I want to wait until 3PM the next day, they'll have one. Once, a coworker secured a car through the portal for the next day. She was called within an hour and told to drive to Kilgore is she wants a rental because that was the closest available. That's an hour away. I could not believer their gall to even suggest that. Sounds like very poor planning is occurring to make sure paying customers have the rentals they've already secured. I don't know if this location forgot how to clean cars, but I've consistently had really nasty rental. For instance: a half eaten box of triscuits in the back seat, sticky dried coke splatter on the driver side door/ceiling/console, what stains across the back seat, brown grease stains all over a truck interior, grass and gravel on the floor boards. My favorite (sarcasm) is when the car has an overwhelming fruity scent to cover up that the vehicle has been smoked it. I've pointed out these major oversights in cleanliness and been asked what they could do to remedy it, but as soon as they see it's a business account they stop offering any "remedy" to my poor experience. The cars are rarely refueled. The last thing I want to do when I actually DO get a rental from here is to see the gas gauge at 1/4. If I'm waiting up to an hour for you to just give me the car I already secured, then I really don't want to have to take the 30 minutes to sit at the long gas line at the closest gas station which is Kroger. These are cars that have been sitting on the lot overnight that should have been filled up before everyone left for the day the night before. This location is just a bunch of really lazy folks who cut corners and do the bare minimum. They'd rather put you in a dirty, unfueled car than take pride in their job and the company they represent. read more

What a joke of a business this location is. They have no concept of how a reservation is supposed to work. We had a reserved vehicle and we were scheduled to get said vehicle at 8:00AM. We were running 15 mins late, so I call at 7:55 to assure them we will be there in 20 mins. We get there, the vehicle is there, but a woman drove away with the reserved vehicle. This location consistently meets my needs. I rent cars from here often, 2-3 times a month sometimes. They're always friendly and helpful. If something isn't right, they'll make it right. I've Rented cars from many companies but Enterprise (particularly this location) has always been the easiest. One of the few unfortunate experience where I would give the business a zero star rating if possible. In town for business and the car I've been driving all week has a mechanical issue (driver's window won't roll up). I called this location to see if they could trade it out for me and was told they didn't have any cars, call Lufkin (30 minutes away). No offer to help me, no apologies. So I call Lufkin--same story--no cars, no time to order one before they close, etc. They suggest I go to a mechanic or tape the window up, which sorry, I am not doing on a rental car--that's the whole point of getting one, so I don't have to worry about these issues! Frustrated, I called their national emergency assistance line. After being told this wasn't really an emergency (sorry, having a car I can't leave unattended and can't have in the rain is definitely an emergency) they said they would try to help. After 5 minutes on hold, they said this Nacadoches location now had a car for me, it was a mile from my location and I could head there now to pick it up. This location is very small, and so is the parking lot, making it very difficult to get in. The inside of the business smelled like vomit, and was FULL of people waiting to pick up reservations. There was only one attendant, the manager, and after about 10 minutes of me standing there he asked what I needed and I explained I was the one there to trade my broken car. He said no problem, I'll be with you shortly. I then wait 45 minutes as he tries to get through the backlog of people, running back and forth to the wash bay outside (can't they get walkie talkies or something so they don't leave a line of people and their phones unattended?) and telling people who had cars or SUVs reserved all he had was a truck, that they would have to wait for cars from the airport, etc. 3 people had to leave and come back because they apparently have a rule that you have to show insurance and two utility bills that match the address on your driver's license to use a debit card, and the bills can't have any outstanding balance on them. Finally, when it is my turn (45 minutes after I arrived) he says let me help the next people first. I said I'm sorry, it's your closing time what are you going to do about my car and he then tells me he has no car and there's nothing he can do. I waited that entire time standing there for him to tell me he wouldn't help me. He didn't even offer to call or get me any help besides suggesting I drive the broken car 1.5 hours to an airport. This was poor customer service, the business was clearly poorly run and I would highly recommend you choose another company. Five hours later I'm still working to resolve this issue, no thanks to the staff of this Enterprise. read more

Worst customer service there ever was! My Geico insurance recommended it. My original car was getting repaired Geico sets me up with Enterprise Rental car. Rental electronics went haywire car stop in middle of a highway. Called Enterprise told them car wouldn't start?!? Its a push button start but, the car kept saying no keys even though the key was in the car?!? We called Enterprise road service they came a towed the vehicle. We were told to come in the next day and get a new rental. The Nacodoches Enterprise customer service told us we can't get a new rental because they don't know where their car was towed to?!? 1st They called their towing department are they not communicating with each other? 2nd Ask me where the car got towed to?!? How the hell do I know you (Enterprise Customer service call the towing department!!! They didn't care and gave me the runaround. So I called Geico told them I don't won't to use Enterprise rents cars ever again. Went to Hertz on 410 they are way, way better and much more friendlier!!! If anyone reading this don't trust Enterprise ever especially on Nacodoches. The customer service at Enterprise a guy named Edgar was smirking most of the time, being condescending saying "oh I feel you" but acting like I was nobody!!! Their treatment and service was poorly! You need to accept the company for what it is: a remote RAC outlet. Grateful to have them in Nac. They consistently do the best they can within the circumstances they have. I like the place because I don't expect a huge selection and a team of 12 people working on detailing. If you don't like it, drive to Lufkin and complain about them. read more

I've had good experiences with Enterprise in Nac about ten years ago, but apparently they've really gone downhill. They have the rudest staff I have ever seen. Be prepared to be talked down to! I made a reservation over the phone for 8:30 only to have the door shut and locked in my face with no explanation. The man came out after about 15 minutes. I was assuming he would apologize, but he informed me (with a very haughty demeanor) that he wouldn't rent me a car not couldn't...wouldn't. I guess he didn't have his coffee. I have had horrible experiences with Enterprise in several different cities. I have found them unprofessional and extremely lacking in customer However, not so at this office in Nac. I was renting with a debit card and they advised me of all the things to make that happen without a glitch. The car was clean and ready to go and I even got to leave my own car in their lot. The employees in this office were professional and accommodating. They are a great asset to Enterprise. read more

Reserved a car to drive to the airport over a week in advance. When I get there, they tell me they don't have any cars and I'd have to wait for someone to return one. After 30 mins of hearing the employees trying to call customers about returning cars, I ask about my rental. They tell me they still don't have a car for me and there is no estimated time when I'd get one. I had to catch a flight so I asked them what the other options were and they gave me a car that has no a/c, in 90 degree weather. The manager says he will give us a discount for it and comes up with a $13 discount. Yes, $13 for not having a car ready that was reserved, offering a car with no a/c, and making me almost miss my flight. After looking at him in disbelief he added some other random discount, but really? How hard is it to confirm cars BEFORE the customer comes to pick it up. What's the point if me reserving ahead of time. Anyway, got to my location soaking with sweat. Thanks a lot enterprise. read more

Poor communication. Claimed that they called me and left a message, but I had no records or voicemails. They don't email invoices and charge your account without your notice or consent. They don't follow up with insurance, I assume because it's easier to take the money directly from you. They also told my insurance adjuster, who was calling them to settle my claim and pay them, that it was impossible to refund my money so that he could pay the balance and they refused to give him a copy of my bill, since it was never sent to me. read more

Very unprofessional and lack customer care. I reserved a car 2 weeks in advance for my wife's baby shower out of town , I get there at scheduled pick up time only to find out they have no more cars . I was told they were expecting lots of returns and I would be first on there list as soon as they got returns. Hours passed and still I heard nothing no updates or anything, I had to call them to see if any returns had come, still none . My main problem is the lack of customer care and not being professional enough to get my issue resolved.Dont understand the point of reservation if it doesn't guarantee a car , now i have pregnant wife in a complete mess and panic thinking she will not make her own baby shower . Luckily there was Hertz in Lufkin Tx who treated me like a paying customer and got me squared away with short notice , kept there word and were very friendly and professional!! Thanks Hertz for saving me from wht could of potentially been my own funeral..
