After a series of unfortunate events on December 30, we were left without a vehicle through the holiday weekend, with 4 kids and a baby at home, of which 2 happened to be sick. We are not from the area, my spouse is active duty and assigned here. We were connected with this location, specifically Hank Ferguson, for our needs. Hank was understanding of our situation, doing everything in his ability to accommodate us, and more importantly lifting some of the stress off our family that wasn't his fault at all. Recently I booked a car through their website and was called an hour before pick up to be told that I would have to wait an extra three hours for a car due to them "working off a callback list." When trying to speak with the girl on the phone about my options, she was very unprofessional and pawned me off to the Lacey branch, in which I was treated just as awful. After spending more than half a day trying to get this straightened out; I ended up going down the road to AVIS where I had no problems. We used this company as our car was being repaired in the auto body shop. We have USAA insurance. Caution to folks after we gave the car back Enterprise charged my credit card $197.00 30 days after we returned it. Plus they kept our $100.00 deposit Soooo They flat out stole money from my credit card after insurance paid them This is called theft!!!!!! They stole $197.00 They keep giving me a run around on giving me my refund. I'm filling a complaint with the head Corp office. The staff at this location is so amazing! The staff was so friendly and awesome to work with. The paperwork was so easy, we booked through Costco but received a better discount with Military use. We weren't sure if we would be able to drop the rental off at the airport or back at their location however they were flexible with us and we really appreciated that. I turned in the rental after hours and flew back home. They made the return so easy and it was comforting when they called me and emailed me that everything was fine with the rental and sent me the details via email of my rental agreement and bill. I had to use Enterprise due to an insurance repair. Understandably, this is a smaller location, but there really wasn't any choice in car selection. Luckily my insurance was paying for my rental (which in the long run, I'll be paying for it with my rates) but if I just needed a rental to travel or something, my choices were an Impala orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr an Impala. Oh wait....or an F-250. All of these vehicles to me were big cars and I much preferred a compact or even an economy car, but I settled on an Impala. The vehicle had minor scratches, all of which I took pictures of so I wouldn't be charged since I opted not to get the additional insurance. The Impala was not really good on gas either, which is part of the reason I wanted a smaller car. I agree with Jamila, the car I got smelled like smoke and a little mildewy. It wasn't fresh smelling by any means and there was hair in many of the areas of the car where it probably should not be. I will say the Impala had a huge trunk. Big enough to transport the bodies....ahem....I mean luggage that I was trying to tote around. The people that work there seem to have a good relationship with each other and it's nice to see that they have fun at work, even it some of the conversations and language can be a little unprofessional. I didn't get super offended by some of the jokes, but I think that other people who cannot relate my take a little offense. Maybe it would have been more impressive if I was just renting and not getting an insurance replacement. They did come pick me up from the collision place pretty quickly and the whole process didn't take more than 10-15 minutes. Of course you have to have a credit card or debit card for them to place a hold on until you bring the car back, so keep that in mind. Overall, it was an a-ok experience. I probably will go with a different vendor next time that has more of a selection and is a little more professional. read more

This is the 3rd time I've used this location and I always receive great service. I had some problems with my car last weekend and needed a rental quick. The process is always easy and they always throw in a free upgrade if one is available. The people there are very friendly and seem like they really want you to leave happy! I would've gave this place 5 stars if it wasn't for them starting to charge me the underage driver fee right before my 25th birthday lol. I'm not sure why they don't waive it anymore, kind of annoying for someone who only utilizes them. The other thing was the lady who took me to the rental asked the car cleaner if that car was clean! Of course he said yea but it smelled like smoke and pets. Oh well I kept it and when I returned it I let them know and the guy was really nice about it giving me an upgrade card for next time. My vehicle broke down and I needed a car at the last minuite. Having no reservations I decided to go hunting for a car. I stopped at their competitors first, only because they were close to my house. They had no vehicles, and poor customer service skills as well. They were poorly dressed , and disclosed to me that they had over booked and had more reservations than cars. Dumb. My boyfriend was frustrated , as he usually is. He called enterprise who said they had lots of cars available. We drove down there and found out that who we called was not our local enterprise, but their main call center in Atlanta or something. Their job is to push reservations no matter what. They actually only had one vehicle available. I did not mark enterprise in Olympia down for this, as it's not this locations fault. Most of us work for companies that are doing this sort of practice . As employees and customers, we know this is the wrong way to do things, but our corporate over lords only see the bottom line. This location handle the situation like a pro. They took ownership & offered me the one available vehicle to use until a car of my choice was available. I decided to come back later as I didn't need a car right this second. Two hours later I had a car, and it was a free upgrade for the " inconvenience". I'm the one wanting a car at the last minute on the spot. I call that going above and beyond. The car was super clean, and the whole staff was professional, well dressed, and kind. read more

This is more a review of the corporate practice than the specific location. I reserved a car online and received an e-mail confirmation. However, the morning of the scheduled rental, while enroute by train to the pickup location (scheduled for 10:30), I received a call from the Olympia location saying they were unable to fulfill the reservation. The caller said they would try to get a car "by late afternoon" and apologized, "explaining" that the website overbooks. I ultimately was able to make other arrangements and salvage most of what I needed to do that day. I only rent vehicles once or twice a year, so perhaps this overbooking is more common than I realize, but I have never encountered it before. One star to the folks in Olympia for at least calling, but it will be a long time before I will consider renting from Enterprise. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any rental car company in my life! I called them before I left my home to meet me at the auto repair. I waited for one hour for them to meet me...the man at the front desk called twice to see what the issue was, and both times enterprise told us they had sent someone. Yet, after a third call their manager said it would be faster if I found a ride to get my rental car. Once I got there, the girl who was helping me was also answering the phone for at least 8 other customers!!! Turns out they didn't even have a car waiting for me in the first place. I can not say enough good things about this Enterprise location! I was in my first car accident on April 1st. The other girl had run a stop sign, and was ticketed, as it was obviously her fault. While my car was in the shop, her insurance, Progressive, had set me up with a rental car at this Enterprise location. Brian had come to pick us up at our apartment about 10 minutes away, and driven us to back to Enterprise. Unfortunately, after Progressive had set up the reservation, they were giving me all kinds of problems. I was suddenly unable to rent the car, so I attempted to put it in my husband's name. Unfortunately, I couldn't put the car in his name either. We stepped outside, and my husband and I began making phone calls to both Progressive, and our own insurance company trying to figure out what was going on. We ended up being put on hold for over an hour. Meanwhile, the manager, Hannah, was inside making calls to her bosses, explaining the odd situation, and seeing if they could bend the rules. They weren't able to, at no fault of their own, just company policy. We still greatly appreciated the attempts. They apologized, and still tried to figure out if they could do something for us. We were getting nowhere on the phones, and decided we would head home. Brian drove us back home, and apologized for the odd predicament. They had never encountered a situation like this! He told us that they were open until 6pm, and that if we figured something out, we could give them a call, and he would gladly drive back out to get us! Thankfully, after a few more calls, we were able to figure everything out! We gave them a call, and Brian headed out to pick us up again! We arrived shortly before closing, and the whole process was very quick and simple. There was no anger or resentment for us showing back up so late. In fact, everyone in the office was joking with each other and having fun! They continuously apologized for the hard time we were having, right up until we got in the rental car to leave! They were so patient, and really tried to help us in any way they can! Brian was hilarious throughout the car rides, and it was such a casual ride. And Hannah was just about the sweetest person I have ever met! Everyone in the office is so patient, kind, and helpful, and I will recommend this Enterprise location again and again! read more

UPDATE: They made things right with us! They have been wonderful ever since, and I know they will be making changes to their roadside policy too! You guys left our entire family stranded over 100 miles from home when we had a flat tire Sunday evening due to a screw piercing the tire. The spare tire is a DONUT. The only way home is the hundred miles of freeway between Marysville and Tumwater. Your roadside assistance is a joke. First they said they could put the donut on.. HELLO we can't drive a fully loaded vehicle two hours plus on the freeway with a donut. Then they said they would tow the car and two passengers 50 miles to the airport and get us another car. We figured that was better than nothing, so we called someone to drive 100 plus miles north from Tumwater to pick us up in her car that was not setup for five grown people and all our belongings (four plus driver), and one of us would go with the tow truck driver and get a replacement car to get home. While waiting for our ride to show up (it is about a 2 hour drive), the roadside assistance called back and said they now wouldn't tow the car that far, but they would tow it to the nearest Enterprise lot and we could either stay in a hotel for well over $100 (none of us had replacement clothing AND we would miss early work hours the next day) and try to get a car the next morning when they opened, or we could take a taxi 50 miles to the airport for $160 then hope to get a car to take us the rest of the way home. So, left with no options, we had to call a second friend to drive up to meet us and pick one of us up. Well guess what? The roadside assistance never showed up to tow the car in the time frame they said they would be there, so we called them and asked what was going on. We didn't want to leave the car we had rented in a parking lot to be liable for anything that happened to it! They said they had cancelled the tow and would just "get it sometime tomorrow" When our first ride arrived (which car we would cram into until we could meet somewhere along the way the other person driving 100 plus miles north to meet us), we had stuff piled to the ceiling in the car, and seatbelts we impossible since there was no way we could all fit in her car with our belongings. THIS IS absolutely unacceptable, Enterprise, but it gets better! The next morning (we all arrived home about 1am), the Burlington Enterprise (apparently the closest lot was Burlington) called to ask where the keys were. They didn't even know what had happened. We are WAITING for some kind of compensation, Enterprise!!!!! This is ridiculous. read more

I rented a car from this enterprise location. I was in a hurry and only went over the outside of car with the representative. That turned into a big mistake. I drove away and I noticed a musky odor in car. The seats were all stained and carpet and consoles looked like they hadn't been vacuumed . There was also something sticky on the dash. I stopped at store to get some febreeze for odor . I returned the car a week later. I was rudely informed by the representative in front of several customers that I had smoked in the car and would pay &150 for it to be Detailed. I was completely embarrassed because I do not smoke. Yes the car needed to be cleaned but the way they get their customers to pay for it is questionable. I tried talking to the representative about it but was ridiculed and yelled at for suggesting I don't smoke. I was told that I had agreed to the $150 fine when I was never informed of such a fine. I was told no pets and questioned that because I have a service dog. I was then told no dog hair in car. I pay enough to rent a clean and reliable car and shouldn't be told I have to clean it before returning it. I was horrified by the accusations and behavior of their representative in front of several customers that should of never happened . I called the manager many times and sent her an email I was totally ignored. Please be careful of this enterprise location as it appears they do not always inspect the cars when they come back in and then charge the very next person who rents it 150 dollars to vacuum and spray odor neutralizer in car. I don't normally need a rental car but I had to put my car in the shop because a lady ran a red light through me. I was greeted by a handshake, smile and introduction. The service was very friendly and relatively quick. When I returned the vehicle, it was a Monday and the lobby was packed and took a while to turn the vehicle in, but once I was helped, I was met with the same level of service that I received when I picked up the car. Had a GREAT experience with these guys. We had our car break down on our way home from our camping trip and we needed to get home to Seattle so we scrambled to find a way home and ended up here. They typically didn't do one-way rentals during the summer because they need to keep their inventory but the manager was awesome and let us do it anyways because she was sympathetic to our situation. Not only that, she WAVED the $90 one-way-fee which was so incredibly nice of her and it was just that little something we needed to help make this unfortunate day a lot better. And shout out to the other employee who helped us! He picked us up from the mechanic and was just overall very upbeat, friendly, and was trying to help us out in any way that he could. This place has grown on me. There aren't a lot of car rental options in Olympia, and this Enterprise is a small branch, without a lot of parking, and without gas pumps. I usually book online, so haven't had to deal with the counter staff except for pick up and drop off, however, every request I've made has cordially and efficiently been met. My biggest beef with them, in the past, was that I would pick up a car for a business trip, in a hurry to get out of town (probably late) and the gas tank would be nearly empty. The branch manager explained to me that they just cannot top off the cars as they are returned, but if I notified the staff, at the time of reservation, that I would need to pick up a car with a full tank, they could take care of that for me. Works like a charm. I like the manager and staff there - they're efficient and helpful. The cars I have rented have, for the most part, been very nice. One time I had some engine trouble, but was able to swap for another car in another town quite easily. read more
