As everyone has stated, if I could give a negative rating I would. This started 8/4 when I was in an auto accident and needed a car. Made my reservation only to be told a lot of hot air about no car available, They had 25 reservations (and the lot only holds about ten cars) that day and I was a last minute reservation when I made it online the day before. No one called to tell me that a car would not be available (as I was told they should have done) and the staff (one person in particular) was very rude and was holding a conversation with everyone that walked in - was told to check back that afternoon and I got more hot air, enough to start a fire so I contacted Enterprise 5 times (email, telephone, and chat) and all I get from them is someone from across seas that I can not understand and they don't understand me. The last person contacted actually hung up the phone on me, so I ended up talking to "Kim" she is the only person that seems to know anything. She needs to be in charge of everything. But anyway, today is 8/22 and I still do not have a car or has anyone reached out to me to see if I still needed a car. The best advice I can give is DO NOT GO TO ORANGEBURG, SC if you need a car. If you can get to Enterprise on Garner's Ferry Road (almost across from Wal Mart) go there ` they are nicer and the last time I rented the staff there even offered me an upgrade when something bigger came in to the lot. And one more thing, a young man walked in and guess what - he got a rental! Maybe I should have been of the other gender - would have had a car by now. I think Orangeburg Enterprise needs to be closed down, everyone get SoftSkills Training and reopen under new management. And for the young man that waited (saw) me - stay in Columbia. read more

UPDATE - they respond to the review and tell you to contact them for more info. Its all smoking mirrors. Once you waste your time doing that nothing changes, heck they don't even get back with you in a timely manner. Their opening statement : Enjoy clean, sanitized vehicles and a low-touch rental process with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Orangeburg. You actual get the exact opposite. To start with you get really bad customer service, small location with at least 9 people getting paid (not working). No one really even wants to help you. Set an appointment for 1pm 3 days prior. Arrive the day of appointment, hard to get service, car not ready. Took almost 2hrs to get the car and then car is filthy. Did not clean it up, stained up, sticky arm rest and center console just nasty. I did not personally choose this place and after this visit would never use this place. 1 star cause I have to rate. Truly the worse experience ever. Reserved a luxury car for my niece's senior prom . The day of the pick up I was called to be informed they didn't have any at that location. I then called customer service and informed them of the situation. I was told I would get a call with my different options of cars to rent . Never received the call , I have called a number of times trying to get answers and I keep getting told they will call me back . It is the day of her prom and they still have not called or tired to work out a solution. After my many attempts of calling. Never getting my business again never read more

i have called 8 times to the local branch in Orangeburg today and have not spoken with anyone yet. 2 of the calls automatically hung up on me after 12 minutes. I'm guessing i've spent over 45 mins on hold waiting to speak to someone. read more

Reserved a vehicle at this location through Priceline three weeks ago which was confirmed. 15 minutes before we were to pick the vehicle up this morning, someone called to say that they did not have a vehicle for us! We had a scheduled trip planned with our family and had to rush to make other arrangements because they offered no assistance in that regard. Will never use them again. read more

What was supposed to be a quick trip turned into a stressful mess when our car broke down, leaving us stranded in South Carolina with no car and no way to get home. Enterprise stayed open (even though they were supposed to close at 6 pm), picked us up and helped us get a car so we could drive back through the night to Ohio, pick up our car, and drive an additional 3 hours home to Indiana. This was more than just a business transaction...they were kind, efficient and went the extra mile. Definitely recommend going here, this company cares about people. read more

I made a reservation for a medium size Hyundai car for 2 days. I called them in the morning to ask them to come pick me up. And they told me that they do not have any car available. The guy answering the phone was not helpful at all and simply replied, "I am looking at an empty parking lot right now. I can't do anything about it." They didn't inform me in advance so that I could make some alternative plan. I would not recommend anyone to rent a car through Enterprise! Very disappointed!!! read more

Here I am again with another update for this location(ST MATTHEWS RD). I did my reservation online today. Simple, quick--even a baby could do it. I went there all excited to rent a vehicle at 12:30pm. Instead of them calling their FORMER CUSTOMER to tell me that they don't have cars available today AND tell them that there is a ?GLITCH? in there system which allowed everyone to still make reservations online when their is no car(s) available--they disappoint you and have you walking away. Yes, I walked across the street with my baby in my hand to wait on my aunt to come pick up her wheelchair from Grove Park. Gold hair chick tells me that my husband can keep his rental for the same price he was paying. WHAT!!! He doesn't want another rental, I DO. You know what it ain't that serious for him to keep that rental so you know what, I would rather pay for my radiator to get fixed in my car then give them another dime. The regional manager their was no help at all to use. Your system is mess up, you fix it. You don't make your customer(s) pay more money for something they don't want. Another customer was there trying to rent a similar vehicle to the one I reserved. They were trying to up-sale her so that she could pay for a move expensive vehicle since they didn't have inventory--although she didn't want anything bigger. THEY PICK YOU UP is a lie as well. If this post allowed you to add audio, I would post audio of the call proving that I spoke with an employee to have my husband picked up--NO ONE came this week at all. Called back the next day, they claimed that we didn't call for a pick up. Their clientele is all messed up. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I won't be going back to this location. They prey on the elderly and those that are not knowledgeable of the process just to increase their own sales quotas. Manager was not even willing to apologize but rather stated "it is not her job to ensure that customers understand but rather to get them in a car" I thought customer service and satisfaction was a priority to them as I have been a loyal customer for some time but the fact that they treated my mom as such means I no longer want to do business with them. Rented the Infiniti QX80 from Orangeburg Enterprise and it was awesome. Reservation was done by phone which made for a fast and easy pick up. The return was also fast and easy. The staff was really nice and professional. I definitely will rent from the Orangeburg location again. read more

On July 24, 2018, I booked a reservation at the Orangeburg SC enterprise for a midsize vehicle. On October 15, I called the business to confirm my reservation. I was advised that the vehicle would be ready, October 17 I drove from Columbia to pick the vehicle and got to the location but no vehicle was in the lot. This place is the worst rental I have ever done business with, I suggest you take your business to Hertz or Budget cause they disappoint you. I called customer service and they advised me no vehicle available within 50 miles radius. Worst service ever!!!! We had a reservation set for Friday at 12... Received a call asking if we could push back the time to 4pm. I agreed and called at 4 to make sure a car was ready. They said no and to give them till 5. Went to the store at 5 still no car ready. Left and came back before closing at 6pm still no car and then was told we would have to wait till Saturday morning.. Even thou we had to be somewhere 4 hours away that morning. Needless to say we didn't make our event. Then we were told that we could bring the car back Tuesday... Giving us a day free.. This place preys on people that aren't familiar with their process. Rented a car from here for the first time and was charged extra fees that I had no clue about until I checked my bank statements. Come to find out they charged me for being closed although they have a key drop box (and I returned at the time that I picked up). I found this out after calling the store and speaking to the assistant. This was never explained to me at my time of pick up and I heard that they do this to people but never thought it would happen to me. I pride myself on properly communicating things to people as I did during my pick up. My husband and I were appalled! All they care about is making money and earning a commission check. Why wouldn't someone tell me to be back by 12 instead of my time of pick up? Then the audacity to charge me for not only that day but every day they were closed (Sunday included)! My contract states that I have a 24 hour billing cycle. The assistant manager was so rude and unconcerned that it disgusted me. Shame on corporate for their poor training at this branch. My experience with this location was absolutely terrible. The car dealership fixing my car called Enterprise and made the reservation for me. The person at enterprise told us someone would come by to pick me up in about 15 - 20 minutes, which was great because I had to get back to work. I waited at the dealership for almost an hour and no one ever showed up. I tried to call the local Enterprise office for 20 minutes or more during that time and was unable to get an answer. I had to call a friend to come all the way to the dealership and give me a ride to the Enterprise office. Once I finally got to the counter and explained the situation to the representative all he said was "well as you can see, we are busy." No apology, no explanation as to how long they planned to leave me stranded at the dealership, no clue about why someone had not reached back out and let me know the wait time was going to be 3 - 5 times longer than I was initially told. As it turns out, they had yet to send anyone to the dealership to pick me up even by the time I made it all the way to their store. i will never go to this place again. when my car was in the shop from a wreck caused by a friend, i needed to rent a car. this was the only one close to me. When they saw my car was a truck they asked me if i needed a truck and i said no,it didnt matter. they brought me another truck. they went over everything very carefully on the contract except for one thing...in tiny letters at the bottom it said that if the vehicle was not clean, there would be a 100 fee. they told me i could not have any pets in the car and the gas had to be the same amount when i brought it back but they never mentioned anything about cleaning. my truck was in the shop for about a month due to mis-communications between the shop and my insurance company. when i took the rental back they inspected it for dents etc. they told me they were going to charge me the detailing fee because the truck was filthy and full of dog hair. ok let me clarify that at the time i had a dog who shed like crazy..it didnt matter how much we swept or vaccumed..if you came in the house for even 5 minutes, you would leave with dog hair. that being said he said the back seat was covered with hair...it wasnt, yes there was some hair but it was not covered. he accused me of having a dog in the car and then accused me of lying when i said i didnt.,.even though i had 3 other people with me that could testify that i have never had a dog in the car. he was rude and got me so upset to the point of tears. the only dirt in the car was some sand from our feet but it wasnt filthy. i told him i wasnt paying the fee. read more
