THIS location of Enterprise was the cleanest, most friendly, and helpful of several "varieties/brand names" and various locations of rental car companies we've been in this past year. We were unfortunate enough to need to rent a car for several weeks both at the very beginning and very end of 2025. The waiting room accommodations here were much better than most, and the management was good. Although it's difficult to get anyone on the phone in any rental car location, when we did reach someone here, they were very helpful. And they quickly rectified any discrepancies on the billing that arose due to the several times we realized we'd need to extend our rental. If you're a member of Costco, I highly recommend going through their Rental Car and Travel Division, as you can get a discount and other considerations. And using Costco's credit card provided necessary insurance that our non-comprehensive insurance policy on our car with a salvage title did not. Check the rules and stipulations before renting. And ALWAYS double-check to get ALL your belongings out of any rental before returning! We overlooked a couple of small, easily missed items that we do miss! read more

Stay away from this rental location. They are liars and crooks. They wrongfully accused my son of returning a car with hail damage 5 weeks after he turned in the rental. Five weeks after! Oh, and it never rained in the 10 days he had the rental! And, was looked over a few times by an Enterprise employee when he turned it in. The management and employees at this store are rude, lazy and unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars or negative stars, I definitely would. I had a terrible experience and will never be renting from this location ever again and possibly Enterprise overall. Prior to my rental, Enterprise calls you to confirm details on your rental. This phone call lasted 36 seconds and the employee did not mention closing early on Saturday, which would be key to know if you close at 11am and your rental starts at 11am. Maybe I would show up just a little earlier if someone mentioned that. I walked in the door at 11:03am and was rudely told, "We're closed." Not hello, not how can I help you. Just we're closed. This employee did not care that I had a reservation and eventually he rolled his eyes saying he would help me. Once it was my turn, the conversation then turned to how they had no cars for me anyway, which was a lie because you could see them in the parking lot. If this was was truly the case, why would your online system accept reservations?There was no chance of an upgrade to a different vehicle because EVERY car was either damaged or needed an oil change. I was told another Enterprise store could pick up the reservation, and I asked the employee to call another location. The "best" he could do was give me a phone number. I asked again if he'd call, and he flat out refused. Then I was told to leave the store. I wrote multiple emails to management AND contacted Enterprise support asking for an apology. I did not ask for money or a refund from the other location because of this location's atrocious service. It took 6 days for someone to respond with someone calling my cell phone 5 times (including 2 at 7:30am) and not leaving a message. Management refused to apologize for their behavior, so it looks like I'll take my business elsewhere. I wouldn't spend a dollar here ever. read more

I'm a Wheels Fleet customer (company car substitute rentals only) and always insist on renting from this location. I had bad experiences at Lee's Summit (with Savannah/Samantha? and the condition of the vehicles/mechanical problems/dirty cars) and even though they're the closest to me because I currently live in Raymore, this is by far the best location I've visited in town! As a former EHI employee from AR, I can certainly say that Josiah and his team are exceptional. They definitely have what it takes to run a branch well and reliably. Update- the location manager did get me in a new car today that was suitable. My daughter had a wreck using my car. Just picked up a rental car this morning to rent for several weeks. Tucker the Enterprise rep was nice and professional. However when I got home I realized how filthy this car is. Look at the pictures of the seat stains. Would you want to sit here or have your kids or guests in this? Can't believe Enterprise continues to rent this car. Called to exchange cars but guess what- they don't have many other cars available. UPDATE: so, they did call me - 24 hours AFTER my scheduled pick up time. Really? They let me book something online in the evening to pick up first thing in the morning. They confirmed the reservation via email. I walked from hotel to location to pick up the car and was told they had no cars for two days. I was supposed to have gotten a phone call but didn't. The people in the office then chose to ignore me and talk to each other about positive call outs they had received. They did offer a ride home, but that didn't get me where I was going. I had a very bad day and wrecked my car. Luckily Enterprise worked quickly and efficiently in getting me a rental. They were very easy to work with and completed the billing with my insurance without any problems. The staff helped me keep my car when the insurance coverage "ran out" and was able to work with my plan to extend payments. They were always polite and efficient. Overall the experience was acceptable, but be wary: they do have issues if they don't have cars, or get too busy. Our first car had a broken drivers side mirror which wasn't noticed at first because it wasn't cracked, but loose and not adjustable. We had to return the car, and were given a not as nice car to replace it. Upon returning the second car, they were quite busy with a lot of people renting a car. The drop off, which should have been quick, took very long because they didn't separate pick ups from drop offs. Everyone had to get in the same line, so the drop off took almost 45 minutes. The overall response was just get in line and wait when asked if there was a way to drop off the keys without concern that we'd get charged more. The lot was so full there was a distinct concern of a car hitting the car I was returning, so I did wait. read more

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your 10661 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66212 location. I arrived to pick up my the rental only to be informed that the store was out of vehicles. This is the second time this has happened to me at this very same location in a year. I requested to speak to a supervisor because it was 4 pm and I was supposed to be in Dallas by 2 am in preparation for an interview that was scheduled to start at 8 am the following day. My options were limited. The manager, Derek Doerfler, was argumentative, rude and combative. He blamed the booking service and stated there was nothing he could do. I explained my situation and all of my protestation fell on deaf ears. Derek Doerfler is easily one of the most unpleasant individuals I have ever had to deal with, and it is unfortunate to think that he is a representative of your company. I was left stranded, in 90 degree heat and ended up spending an hour at a neighboring gas station whilst organizing a ride to the airport, where I ended up renting a car. I found a great price on a rental car here in Overland Park, so I decided to book via priceline.com. Too bad that I didn't use their pick up service, since I was commuting from Omaha, Nebraska back here to pick up a rental car. I'm glad that I found Enterprise rental car here in Overland Park, KS in choosing my rental car. It was deciding between rental car companies along Metcalf Avenue or head to the Kansas City international airport to choose there, but they often have more expensive rides. I arrived here around 2:00pm to pick up my ride. I checked in early (pick up time was 3pm), but they did not have the car that I have. I waited till one of the guys behind the counter agreed to take me down to the other Enterprise location a couple of miles down the road to see if they have anything I can have. I ended up with a nice Toyota Corolla for the week. I thought that the pick up process could have been a little better, but they ultimately redeemed themselves by putting me in a Toyota Corolla, which was a definitely a smooth ride from pick up to drop off. The service here at enterprise was nice and professional, while being friendly and assertive. Can't beat that nowadays! I picked up the car while at half tank, so I just had to return it without having to fill it to F. The overall experience here at this Enterprise rental car in Overland Park, KS was good and positive, even though I had to wait a bit for a car to be returned and ultimately had to go to another facility to get the car. I would definitely a recommend for anyone who wants a cheaper ride without having to go to the Kansas City international airport to get some wheels. Prices here can be cheaper compared to the ones at the airport, so best bet is to price compare before confirming your reservation. This Enterprise car rental facility is located at 10661 Metcalf Avenue here in the heart of Overland Park, KS. They require both driver's license and a major credit card upon check in. This Enterprise rental car facility is rather small, holding up around 20 -25 or so cars at at given time. Since I picked up the rental car from the one 2 miles away, they told me I can drop it off here and that would be okay. The car itself was nice and runs great. Had only 20k miles on it when I picked it up. Returned it with about +350 miles when I was done with it. I had the car for 6 days and loved to be mobile all the time. Beats having to wait for the KC Metro, that's for sure. I ended up paying for the standard LDW collision insurance, since I don't know what would happen out there. Better to be safe than be frustrated and sorry to deal with what may have happened. For the most part though, everything went smoothly and I do love cars with built in USB plug in outlets to charge my phone while driving and on the go. Usually I check for that before I drive off the lot. If you like a cheaper car rental option in Overland Park or Kansas City in general, consider coming here to enterprise car rental in Overlin Park on Metcalf Avenue. They'll do you right and it will be awesome. I have been renting from this Overland Park South location for last six months and I must say, the experience has been more than satisfying. One great example of how an 'Enterprise' can deliver a personal experience to one time or regular customers and yet stay committed to their corporate values. Should you run into an issue, Jake or Brian (Star Branch Managers) would do everything in their capacity to make it right that one time and everytime after that. I wish I were writing a review about how great/poor the service was, but first I would have needed to have had a car. I have an important trip planned today for out of town, and Enterprise does not have a SINGLE car until later today. This isn't fair to (former) customers or staff. The service person (not her fault) tried to find a car, checked the system, and there are no cars in the area, but a long line of people needing them. How does a company stay in business that can't even provide its product? My family is left scrambling now for transportation to a very important engagement. Picture this, a family excited to go on vacation (or business or a funeral, etc.), they show up to get their rental, and it's not there. So much for confidence and reliability. read more

I was a little leery due to previous negative reviews, but in conversing with the staff, it sounds like there is new mgmt and staff this year. Josh was great in helping me book my rental over the phone due to technical issues I was having with the website. I confirmed my reservation with the branch manager, Rachel, the day prior to picking up, and she also conveniently arranged to have Josh pick me up. We mentioned we would be driving a pretty good distance and wanted a car good on gas mileage. I have been renting from this location for a couple years, they have always been accommodating. I had an emergency and needed a last minute rental. I booked on the app the night before, and called the day of, just to make sure they had a vehicle available. They informed me they were expecting a car back but didn't know when it would return (they were closing in 45 minutes), instead of accommodating me with another vehicle, they said I would have to pay an extra $20/day for an upgrade. Since this vehicle was already way more expensive than I would usually pay, I declined the vehicle & cancelled the reservation. They rented me a car with a tire so completely out of balance that I couldn't drive more than 50 mph without it losing touch with the road. Unfortunately I didn't have time to return to switch. When I asked them to swap at a location near my destination they said they have no cars there and suggested I either take it to a repair shop or drive 30 miles to another location. They admitted the car should have been taken out of inventory and they should have rented me another. But they left the solving of the problem to me. I was getting ready for a trip to Colorado and wanted an SUV for the trip so the drive would of been bearable. I got an intermediate SUV and thought that would of been enough. When I got there they didn't have any other SUV in the lot and Hue took care of me and put me in another SUV that made the whole trip better. I will never, ever again rent from Enterprise, regardless of the location. In this case, we had no choice. Our car was rear ended and that person's insurance company insisted we do so. One of the tires on the rental has gone flat, so we called the 800 number, only to be told that nothing can be done because my husband's date of birth was input incorrectly at this Metcalf location, and only a local office can correct it. Problem - only the airport location is open on a Saturday, and they don't answer the phone. Calling there puts us in the same "customer service" HELL. "Sorry. We can't help you until the date of birth is corrected, and I can't do it." Have heard this for well over an hour now. We have the reservation number, our address, phone number, make, model, VIN of the vehicle, but because of a DOB typo, we are absolutely helpless! We rented a car for pickup this weekend and were badly in need of an full size SUV. 17 day rental. Called twice to verify that we would indeed receive a full size SUV. We made the rental nearly a week in advance to insure that we would receive a full size SUV. The day before the rental we were told that no full size SUV's were available. We have rented a lot of vehicles from this location over a period of several years. Obviously the people at this location have no concept of customer loyalty or how in fact to conduct business in a good and reasonable manner. We were able to find a full size SUV from another rental company and will not be doing business at this location again. We had another bad experience with the same company in 2014 but decided to give them another try. Big mistake. We would strongly recommend that you rent elsewhere if you want to have a good rental experience. read more

Do not use this branch if you are wanting the car to actually BE there. Made a reservation for an SUV for my son's 9th birthday party. Decided, based on number of RSVP's that we needed a bigger vehicle, so I cancelled the SUV this past Friday and reserved a van. This was at 12:15 on Friday, Nov. 28th. I received an IMMEDIATE confirmation of the van rental at my inbox. No strange wording that would prompt me to call and question the reservation. Went to this location Sat. morning to find that they did NOT guarantee my reservation and they had NO VAN. And, the gal working the counter that wasn't even involved in my rental snidely remarked that :there is no guarantee on the vans:, as though I should know this fact!??? Again, no strange wording on the confirmation email or screen shot that would have alerted me to this fact. Jeremy was the only one at this location to come through for me by at least finding something. Meanwhile, we had 15 kids waiting at my house to be picked up to go to the party location. So, they sent me to Grandview (thank goodness for THIS branch- Atticus and Devon), which is 20 minutes away. So, an hour and 15 minutes later, I finally got back to our house in order to pick up the boys. My question is- if you have 7 open business hours on Friday AFTER the reservation hits, and I come to pick it up at 10 am on Saturday (22 hours later), couldn't you at least have had the decency to call and let me know that you had no Van? Instead I have to drive to another Enterprise location??? Crazy. Emailed manager of branch first thing this am and called this afternoon. No response. I would give them a negative star if I could. No one from Overland Park office even called to see if it worked out. Guess who called? Atticus from Grandview. Now, there's a good guy. I was traveling from Kansas City to the East Coast with my three preteen children. I wanted something comfortable for the long ride so I opted for the Premium class. It was a wonderful sporty Cadillac. However, upon bringing it home and packing it with our things, neither the interior nor the trunk space was generous enough. A quick call was all it took for them to have me return it and promptly put me in another vehicle that suited our needs better. They even waived the difference in rate, which would have really added up for ten days. When I returned the vehicle the gal at the desk asked how my trip to New Jersey went. The people over here at this location are big time cheaters.I had a reservation for full size car at 5:30 PM and I called them at 5:25 to inform that i m running late and will be there by 5:45 ish. They said we will be closing at 6 so come before that. Due to traffic, I managed to reach exactly at 6 and they said they don't have any full size available, only premium cars are there and I have to pay extra for that. Since I did not reach on time 5:45, they rented full size vehicle within 15 mins. I had rented from this location earlier, but never had a good experience with the staff, they are rude and cheaters. Have rented from them a few times. Always had good service but the last two times the vehicles they gave us were dirty inside. Just didn't appear to have been vacuumed or cleaned out properly. The second time they did replace it with a newer cleaner vehicle but it was a little frustrating. read more
