Review Highlights - Enterprise Car Sales

I won't need another vehicle for quite some time, but I would definitely go back to Enterprise on Shawnee Mission Parkway again.

This place is a ripoff, DO NOT buy a car from Slick Matt, he does not disclose all the problems…read morewith his used cars (and has poor follow up), after you buy it he wants you to use his service side for repairs, that's when the real $$$$ start adding up. They act like you are bothering them (very rude). This place is a joke and has been ripping people off for years I'm sure, and they still sleep good at night....just wrong, wrong, wrong. STAY AWAY!!!!!

As soon as it turned cold, it turned out that both thermostats were not working and they refused to fix them. Just recently my son had his oil changed and radiator flushed ( not there of course) He was informed that there were metal shavings in the radiator and that the water pump needed replaced. He took it back to Kings Auto and informed them of that. He was called later and told the water pump needed replaced but it was not covered under the power-train warranty. When we went to pick it up, suddenly they told us that the water pump was fine but anyway. I told him that almost every other power-train warranty on the market covers water pumps. The used car sales-man ( and he looks like one) proudly informed me that they had fine print covering that and that he would gladly show it to me. Then to add insult to injury Kings Auto service mechanics charged him $38 all the while trying to distance themselves from these used car salesman guys. Dont believe it, they are joined at the hip. You have been warned.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had an issue with the TPMS system and while I have a regular mechanic, I scheduled an appointment…read morehere for a couple of reasons. The first - and most important - is I had a good experience when I bought my car here and while this isn't a Honda dealership, the dealer group includes a couple of Honda stores, so I was confident they would be able to work on my Accord. The second is I called and asked if their service department would be able to diagnose and repair any issues on a Saturday when most dealerships run with a smaller crew and focus on oil changes and other small maintenance functions. The answer was an emphatic yes... except it wasn't. I arrived at my 8:30 appointment, spoke with a service advisor and then headed to the lounge to wait on the results. About forty minutes later I received a text that linked to a repair quote of more than $800. Confused, I walked over to the counter and asked the advisor why it would cost $800 to fix my sensor. He explained that even though I was told a used car technician would be working that day, the technician was actually off, and that one of the other advisors drove my car. While driving, the light stayed on, so they gave me a quote for a whole TPMS replacement because there was a good chance that was what was wrong and that was why the price was so high. So - long story short - an advisor quoted me a sizable repair without a technician actually looking at my vehicle. I kindly declined the quote and asked for the technician to return my car. Thankfully, he was nice and didn't charge me the $100 fee they normally charge for a diagnosis. I'm glad he made that decision because I didn't feel I should pay a fee when nobody looked at my car. Anyway - away I went. The following Monday - bright and early - I received a follow up phone call from the dealership asking about my experience. I told them about what I wrote above and said I used to work in sales, so I can understand providing a quote and making a customer tell you no, but that I also felt this was sloppy. I didn't think I was being ripped off, but I wished the advisor would have said something about the technician not being in. If he would have said, "Hi Charley. I looked at your file and I know you were told a technician would be in today, however it looks like there was a mixup and he isn't scheduled today. I'm terribly sorry this happened and apologize that you came in and he isn't here. Can I schedule a follow up appointment at another time?" then there was an 85% chance I would have rescheduled, but now I'm going to look around. The person on the phone apologized and said if I changed my mind that I could call her directly. She also said she'd pass along my comments to leadership for review. I thanked her for reaching out and wished her a good day. Then - a half hour later - the shop called back to see if I wanted to schedule a new appointment. I said I was a little uneasy because of the issues over the weekend, but I'd think about it and call the woman I was speaking to back if I wanted to move forward. The woman said the dealership normally schedules a used car technician on Saturdays, but didn't this Saturday because it was the first Saturday of the month. Then she suggested if I was on the fence about the price of the replacement hardware then I should go somewhere else because the store only used premium products. I thanked her for her candor and told her I'd take her up on her advice. Anyway - if you're still reading and you're wondering if ever fixed my TPMS system - I did. I took a day off and took my car to my regular mechanic who diagnosed a bad battery in one of the sensors. He was able to replace it for a little over $100. I'm happy with my buying experience, but I'm really second guessing this service experience. Please use at your own risk.
