If the previous staff would come back this place would get a 5 stars, but with the current staff and having Erin as a manager there this store is going down hill. It sucks this is the only rental car place that is close to my house. Really wish they would bring back the old staff. I don't like any of the new people. Be aware of Shane he is sneaky and will not explain what you are signing and next thing you know you got all the insurance even though u said no originally. enterprise please bring back the staff u had before this group of not so smart people. read more

I had to get a rental while my car was being repaired by a body shop. The front desk representative made it an experience not worth reliving. I was to get a "mid size" vehicle. She says "We don't have any vehicles here right now except a truck or a Mini Van". She wasn't trying to let me have the truck. Basically she was trying to force the mini van on me. 3 X's I had to tell her in different ways I don't do mini vans. She still came back with a rebuttal that it would only be for the day. Still I had to say "NO". I think if they replaced her or put her in the back, it would be better because she doesn't listen to the customer. I can't say her name but it starts with an N and ends with an E. The guy that took me to Ventura for my rental vehicle was helpful, nice and accommodating. I have had to rent a few vehicles through enterprise, this is my first ever great experience (so far, still renting and will update once returned) with enterprise. I had reserved a mini van for our trip with family to San Diego. I called the port Hueneme location to confirm and modify my rental before pick up, I spoke with Brian who informed me that the van we had reserved had just been rented out and that he was going to find another one in the area for us. He couldn't find another mini van but did go above and beyond and got us a 2017 Ford Expedition that accommodated our entire family for the same price! Brian's costumer service is so on point! And I feel that enterprise should hire more people like Brian! Such a stand up guy! Thanks for all of your help and complete professionalism, Brian! Update: we returned the Ford Expedition, and Brian wasn't there during the return, so I didn't get a chance to personally thank him! However the turn in process was just as pleasant as the pick up! I appreciate that someone is available to answer any question that may come up during my rental. Made reservation for vehicle and was told I would be picked up . One hour before time to be picked up was told car was not available but they had one for higher price ! Bait and switch at its best Will never use Enterprise again Ended up using AVIS And was provided a car at a lower price!!! Contacted by Enterprise and am waiting on results! From the looks of things, the people offering poor reviews of this Enterprise location failed to plan on their end or at the least had circumstances happen beyond anyone's control and blamed Enterprise. Like most vehicle rental companies, you will get what you want in the manner you want it if you plan ahead and reserve a vehicle at least a day or two in advance. Even when I had to rent at the last second and input my reservation a few hours prior to my picking up the vehicle, I have had fantastic service. I have rented from this location since 2009 and the staff have always been courteous and professional. They also take very good care of military members and make it a point of working with our constantly changing schedules and last-minute issues. The only reason I can't give five stars is because sometimes the inventory (cars) come and go so fast that they're not always as clean as they could be-- but I'd rather have a vehicle that hasn't been vacuumed than no vehicle at all, or fail to be where I needed to be because someone felt that running it through a car wash was more important than getting me where I needed to go. If this location could have more cars on hand so that inventory could be cleaner and they wouldn't run out of vehicles on major holidays, I'd give five stars. read more

This is the third time we've used Enterprise in Port Hueneme. The people are always nice, but the cars are always dirty. Small office and no service bays or car wash I guess. But we'll keep using them because they're close and the prices are good. read more

I always have good customer service at this car rental. I returned my car back at 8:15 AM informing them I needed a ride home. I was told it would be a few minutes before someone could take me home. It started to get crowded with everyone returning the car after the holiday with only one staff working. It was 9:00 am and I was still waiting for a ride home. I finally asked Tom if he knew when I could get a ride home because I had someone coming to do repairs on my house. Tom said, "We are not a taxi service and we do not schedule times for rides. His tone of voice was upset. Another customer heard him and said he was very rude to me and should not had spoken to me like that. I ended paying for a taxi to take me home. I hope next time when I get a rental car the customer service will be better. read more

First time ever needing a rental. Reserved online 10/08/16 @ 10:00am picked up at 11:00am. Jose greeted me and inform me that what I book was not available but he had the next level up same price which was great. Process to check in was simple and smooth. Waited in the lobby for about 25 mins and finally car was brought in to the parking lot. I was walked around by another employee and pointed out scratches on the hood and minor one on the back. He never noted anything on the contract cause he said they had to be major ones. I used the car in city only, for exactly 43 miles total in a 46 hour window. Never parked under a tree nor did anything too exotic with it. I have a perfect driving record never gotten into any accidents or even had a parking ticket and therefore have great insurance rate I was not going to mess that up with a rental. Return today @ 9:00am (10/10/16) And Jose did walk thru and pointed a ding on the hood. After waiting for other employee that did the walk thru when car was checked out he said he did not recall that one. Honestly I do not remember if I pointed that one too or not BUT point is... PLEASE make sure you point out any even if they are nickel size scratches or dings and they are written down in the contract to avoid any misunderstandings. That was the reason a star was deducted from my review. Other than that location is convenient, and I would go back and rent from this guys I don't think I will ever need to, but I if I do I will thoroughly double/ triple check car before taking it. Rented at this place many many times. When I called to discuss the high gas charge at the closing, the manager Larry was arrogant in his explanation on 'prepaid gas.' He gave me a car that had 1/2 a tank, and he offered me to 'prepay' at $1.50, on the surface it sounds like you're paying $1.50 per gallon, HOWEVER, if you don't use up the gas you still pay as if you used up the entire gas. Larry very well knew that I would barely use 1/4 gallon of tank to go one way to LAX. What it all means is that I paid for gas that i did not use and that's not fair. What's worse, Larry didn't even offer to make things better. When I asked Larry to explain why he would make the recommendation to me 'prepay' he became abrasive and demonstrated poor customer service skills. He demonstrated irrational behavior and lacks professionalism towards the customer. Also, despite being in a predominately spanish speaking neighborhood, none of the employs speak fluent spanish. C'mon Larry-Enterprise, it's 2016 don't be so obvious. read more
