Great staff... easy to rent I have booked 5 seater SUV for weekend 5/18. One good thing enterprise do is pick up and drop off their customers. Otherwise, it is hassle how to pick up the car. Staff picked me up 845 in the morning. They ll call you after reaching. I came to pick up my car and Nicole Vaz attended me. I declined the insurance, she did emphasize but never forced me to take their insurance. I got ford explorer, though I have booked 5 seater SUV but they gave me this 7 seater and said this is a standard size. I did not mind, little did I know I 'll be hit by car's mileage. I drove and come back from Niagara Falls and it was app 800 miles and I spent $95 over gas. When I was returning the car, I mentioned this to Nicole Vaz and she discounted $10 in my total bill. Not sure this was enough, but she listened and took some action, that was good for me. She also matched fuel and gave some voucher for next booking. Few things- 1- They should keep transponder (EZ pass) in their car. I had to choose a different route for Niagara due to this. Currently, they don't provide EZ Pass. 2- I left my keys at the time of pick up and called them to keep it safe. I got my keys while returning ( these are small things but eventually these becomes a big problem when staff do not pay attention) 3- They don't provide paper receipt now. They are paperless they send you rental agreement and receipt through email. Great thing 4- Their Pick Up and Drop off facility. It's great. I would recommend this and I am again going to use their service on Wednesday. read more

Do not rent from here! I rented from here for insurance claim.....and the experience was TERRIBLE (after the return....its always after....) After signing the contract, I was religiously charged weekly for 1 month....The charges ranged between 180.00 and 240.00 each week.....I was supposed to be refunded anything my rental did not absorb (security)....I did not receive a DIME of a refund, and they are now calling me for the 2nd time saying that I owe THEM money! When I spoke with the first representative, Connor, he found the error and promised that I would be refunded and I never was......About a week later, I started getting calls from enterprise again, stating that I owe them money.....I owe them NOTHING.....My initial experience with Patrick was the best interaction throughout this whole ordeal, they should put HIM in charge of the store because his mannerisms are FAR better than the "Supervisor" Ben, that I spoke with. Ben became frustrated with me---I was admittedly upset and rightfully so---but he wound up telling me "you're good", Like he was actually able to fix something for me and was going to hang up.....and to confirm I asked---"The balance is cleared and this is resolved?" and he said no, you still have a balance---HOW AM I GOOD THEN???? He was simply trying to get rid of me at that point..... Ben needs to not be in ANY position of charge in that or ANY retail location that deals with the public.....BEWARE and STAY AWAY---Scam Artists! read more

Furthermore, the guys at the location were not helpful in any way. Put it simply, you reserving ahead of time online doesn't matter. Customers don't matter . We made a reservation through corporate main number, they were supposed to pick us up. we called and confirmed but they sent our old info to the lo office. We drove there only to find out from Joseph that they gave him the wrong address and phone number. He was extremely apologetic and helpful, excellent customer service. I wish I could give a zero star. I read the ratings and reviews. My friend also suggested me that this location was good. I had a confirmation number from my car's insurance, so I called this location's number and also went to meet in person, but in vain a bitter experience for the second time! I have an NJ driving license which says Probationary Auto-license. Only enterprise does not give rental cars, hertz gave me a rental car without any issues on my same driving license. Enterprise needs to be aware of DMV policies, when a driving license has the word probationary on it that means the probationary term is valid only for an year after the date of issue and for 21years and above. DMV will not issue another driving license because the current driving license is not yet expired and they confirmed that my driving license is a valid one and I should be fine with it! In my case, the issue date was 22 july 2016 and expiry date is 1 may 2019. And today's date is 1 aug 2017, one year past the issue date so the term probationary becomes invalid. Enterprise has very little knowledge on the DMV policies and I am surprised how are they operating! The branch manager just did not listen to what I had to say or even confirm with NJ DMV but just denied me a rental car. If hertz can give you, you should get it from there - this is what I was told ! Will NJ DMV allow me to drive my own car for more than a year?! And also, will any insurance approve of my driving at the first place if my driving license was temporary or invalid? Ridiculous is the word for Enterprise customer service. They are not updated with the DMV policies and yet claim sorry they cannot help, this is their stupid policy. :@ I have more than a year of driving experience now. But according to Enterprise, a beginner is not allowed to rent a car and practice driving. A beginner has to always buy own car, practice driving and then given the driving road test! Wow. Even if the beginner gets a rental car with the help of a friend or a family member who has a valid driving license, the beginner will not be able to drive the car because the friend got it for him and only the friend can drive it. What kind of a deadlock is this? The beginner is totally lost until a year has passed the valid probationary license to get a rental car from Enterprise!!! This is just so illogical and not so customer friendly (atleast not so beginner customer) service to me. Hertz just asks whether you are eligible to drive or not, takes a copy of evidence document and just rents out a car to anyone. That's how service is supposed to be. We rented a car from here through an insurance company whose party was responsible for our car's damage. The vehicle was old and outdated. The tires were constantly low on air. Really childish and immature staff. While waiting for them to figure how to get a car for us (because when we came to pick up our ride they for some reason didn't even have a car to give us) they were talking really loud and gossiping about each other and making lude jokes. Then we had to follow them to Morristown location. Kid helping us kept forgetting what he had to do and he tells us it was his 21st birthday so he was hung over. Which why someone who isn't even old enough to rent a car works at a car rental center is beyond me. Then it took them over a week to give me back my deposit. This location has a lot of different cars (they are generally very clean but always economy) available at reasonable prices. They do not have navigation which is very annoying. (Do not rent the portable ones they offer they aren't worth it) I especially like that they allow you to drop off the car at any time (evenings/weekends) however the staff can be very slow, seem to just be hanging around. They always have multiple people working and a few seam to be just sitting around. read more

Be very, very careful when you rent from this location, and under no circumstances should you use the overnight lot to return a car during off-business hours. They do "not have security cam" footage, which essentially means you will be extorted for any damages that miraculously occur overnight. In my case, I am being charged a total of approximately $1,200 for a "golfball sized dent" (their words) on the driver-side rear passenger door of the Dodge Avenger I rented. Twelve hundred dollars, for a small dent, and I'm being given absolutely no recourse or way to exonerate myself since they have no video footage, and I certainly did not return that vehicle with a "golfball sized dent". I'd also like to know on what planet a small dent on a door-panel of a cheapass Dodge amounts to ~$827 (the cost of repair). Was this a Rolls Royce dealership? I was told the repairs would be "cheap", yet was never once provided an estimate. This has been a horrific experience and I genuinely feel as though I am being extorted. read more

Last week I tried enterprise in Miami and liked their service . So when this week I planned for Niagara , I went straight to enterprise near my house. It Is slightly expensive but they told me that during summer season rate are high otherwise during winters I can get good cars for cheap. While returning the car I left my ipod there . When I realized after two days , I contacted them .They had kept it safely . Since I have already heard in the previous review that they do not honor online booking so I went there personally to book my car. Made an online reservation to rent a car for the Thanksgiving weekend. Front desk lady was on the phone for quite awhile with another customer when we walked in. Totally understandable. I wouldn't have been annoyed about it, but there was another employee who stood up from his desk and upon seeing us waiting patiently, walked back to his desk as if busy. Teamwork man! We walked past him to see the cars in the back and, I noticed he was just browsing the internet. Other than that, the lady was quite helpful if discussing the terms with us and helped upgrade our car to a slightly bigger Hyundai for minimal price. Rental car had a full tank, but there were trash and plastic bottles underneath the front seats. Easy to clean up though. Also we noticed a few scratches and dents on the car and license plate, and the lady reassured us that we wouldn't get charged for it. I visited the enterprise branch in Parsippany this morning hoping to rent a car for a driving exam. When I arrived, the employees kindly informed me that some DMVs won't accept rentals for exams-- as a result, they allowed me to cancel my reservation, and the woman who was servicing me, Allie, even gave me a ride back to my workplace. They truly had my interests in mind, even though I didn't end up renting. Best customer service ever! Will definitely rent future cars from here. read more

I have been a customer of Parsippany branch for ten years because of their great customer service. However, this most recent rental, we were dissatisfied with Audrey, the assistant manager. She was quite rude to us, we did not feel we are valued loyal customers, no considerations even how loyal you are. Most frustrating was when we picked up the car and got home, 5 minutes after, she gave us a call asking us to return it due to the expired car registration!!! She did not check everything while we were there. It was such a big hassle for us to return the car after renting it for 5 minutes! We were already on our way to put gas and loading our things for the weekend trip. We will not be renting at Enterprise Baldwin again because of our bad experience with Audrey. read more

Over 6 months later, and several weeks after my credit card company investigated the circumstances of this incident (and found Enterprise guilty of imposing an unfair charge in the form of the unreturned security deposit/incidentals fee), enterprise continues to harass me with collections notices. They still refuse to review or even acknowledge the video evidence of how the car I rented was damaged after it was out of my possession. Gentlemen here are experts in giving you surprises. Ofcourse the unplesant ones. I have experienced this twice. When I analyze both my experiences, the root cause seems to be a serious flaw in the design of processes and controls they have in place. I have booked rental car with enterprise twice through a third party website to save some money. I got the confirmation numbers from both third party website (Carrental.com) and Enterprise. I even spoke to local enterpise guy to confirm my reservation twice. Once the evening before and once the morning on which I had to pickup the car. Eveything sounded good until I reached the enterprise location to pick up the car. The Gentlemen at enterprise told me that the size of car (compact) which I booked is not available and he offerrred me a pickup truck for the same rent.Yes I am an not kidding. A pick up truck..When I asked why was I not informed about it when I called about confirming my reservation twice, he simply said they were not aware about it.. From this I could draw following conclusions: a) Enterprise does not have processes and controls to track the reservations against the inventory of vehicles they have . So don't be surprised if you hear from them that the car you got confirmation for is not available. Or b) They will not honor booking made through third party websites if they can rent the same vehicle for higher rent for bookings directly made through them. Enterprise, if some responsible person is reading this review, bring your act together and please grow up and stop using this cheap tricks. Absolutely awful experience here. It was the first time I rented a car and I had to choose this place because Schumacher's in Denville had them as their rental service as they repaired my car. The car they picked for me was great and bringing it back was okay, too. However, when it came to charging my account, DISASTER. Schumacher's covered the total rental charge after the deposit I laid down and I got back a credit of money owed to me. A couple days later, I see a charge on my account of close to $400 (way more than what was owed on the car in the first place). I had to call customer support and get that error corrected. THREE WEEKS LATER, I receive a charge of $714 almost double what was originally owed with NO EXPLANATION of why after I thought the transaction with them was closed. They inspected the car and said it was good to go so it wasn't for the car itself either. All in all, this branch is extremely unprofessional and I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. read more
