Nice, professional representatives, picked me up quickly, no probs there. But the car itself reeked of cigs and the inside of the windshield was filthy and unsafe. The gas was at 3/8 of a tank, why not fill it for the clients? This way they don't need to stop for gas immediately and know how much to fill it to upon return. I feel Enterprise has gone down hill, I've been using the consistently for 30 years! Also, there is a toll paying device (ez pass) in the car that to activate and utilize it you need to open it. It was already open and I was not told about it and drive thru tolls. Hopefully I don't get hit with toll charges in a few days. It wasn't on my final bill. So I pick up a Brand New Ford Mustang convertable and the tank is bone dry. Just amazing, had for 3 weeks, great car, great service, however unacceptable that tank was empty. I brought back after three weeks to trade in for an Acura Q5, the tank was less than half full, (Unacceptable) and the car was filty. When I called, the girl was rude, and said if its dirty bring it back and we will clean it. (Absolutly, no apology). Anyway, They did get me two great cars, but tank empty and car filthy, no excuse especially when they advertise how clean the cars are. Had to wipe down everything inside. There is so much dust on vents its gross. You think that when the insurace company pays them 100 dollars a day to rent a car, they would deliver it clean with a full tank. Wonder if they will call me and offer an apology?? lol Probably not. read more

Needed a car after mine needed a repair from a local auto body shop. I called enterprise the morning I needed the car and was able to get an appointment the same day. Once I dropped my car off for the repair, the auto body shop called enterprise for me to be picked up. Julianna picked me up within 10 minutes and was super friendly (and played great music!). Once we got to the store the process was seamless. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Julianna explained everything I needed and then I was on my way! Overall, this rental experience was a 10/10. Convinced us we didn't need to take pictures of the dings, burns, etc on the crappy car they "upgraded" us to. Swore that the dings, etc, had already been logged and there was no way we would be charged for them. Promised to add my partner as a second driver on the contract, and didn't do it. Basically set us up for charges for damage we didn't cause. If we had been hit while my partner was driving, we'd be liable for buying that POS car right now because she "forgot " to add him. Truly courteous service from the friendly staff here. They take the time to break down and explain the different charges and fees so you know exactly what it will cost you. They make sure to give you the run down of how the car works too before you sign the agreement so you're not wasting time sitting in the parking lot for 15 mins trying to configure the dashboard and the mechanics. This location also makes sure to tell you that they offer pick up and drop off which some other locations don't even bother mentioning. I've rented at other enterprise locations but this place does an awesome job of making it super easy to rent without the extra hassle. We rented a vehicle from them picked it up at 230 Thursday brought back by 230 on sat yes they were closed but the gentleman who checked us out said its fine have it back before 48 hours and no problem well noooo that isn t true so they get 300 more while it sat out on their lot till they came in on Sunday what a waste this place is go some where else for your vehicles I used rent a wreck in dover they work with you more then this place does they did give me back 100 but they felt they needed the 200 extra read more

I made a rental, all there websites and maps says they are open til 1, they made an appointment with me for exactly 12, I showed up, and there was a person in the building but they wouldn't help me because they said "they close at 12". As a business if you make an appointment and are going to close before your last appointment you should be letting them know so they don't drive an hour for a car that's not there. My go to always!! Not only is the location very convenient but the men that work there are always professional, courteous and go out of their way to make you happy. I've used the office in East Hanover and no bad things to say about them, however I prefer this location. It's nice to walk in and your greeted by name, now if they remember you or not is debatable lol, but it still makes it a more personal experience. Kevin outta th Rockaway location was extremely rude to me. Called me the night before to confirm my reservation. Told me I needed two utility bills in order to use my debit card to get a car.. I had just moved into the neighborhood and he didn't even give me a chance to get my utility information. He automatically stated he wanted to cancel the reservation. I had called back the main customer service number and they said you are still confirmed for the reservation tomorrow.. no one showed up for me and I was sitting here by my door with a baby in a car seat in the freezing cold on my porch and when I called him to ask him why no one showed up he said I was rude to him and he chooses not to pick me up. They did not have a car on the lot to fix the amount that was covered for me, but the branch manager Andrew was able to get it figured out for me with great customer service. A rental car company has a couple of things that they need to do. It's not complicated and it's not rocket science. One thing is to keep the cars clean. I picked up a Dodge Challenger two days ago that had a half eaten bucket of popcorn in the back of the car and the car inside and out was filthy. WTF! My car was hit from behind. I never had to deal with this before, & was very upset & irritated. I went into the Rockaway NJ Enterprise & was treated with respect. The employees were courteous & extremely helpful. One in particular was Sarah. Funny thing is . . . she's a newer employee. I didn't expect to be dealing with someone new, that was so professional & just generally nice. Made my day. 11 days later, my car was repaired & it was time to return the rental. I had accident. Called my Insurance they put in place for a car rental...I pay for this on my policy. I did get 2 calls from Enterprise told me a car would be there. Rockaway to Dover. So I get to the repair shop. NO car. The repair shop called twice for me. Still no car.They left me stranded. So I called I think on Friday, April 15th to tell them. I spoke to Bill..the manager...all he kept saying is I don't know I don't know...3 times I finally hung up on him . I have a great insurance company I will tell them to make sure they are not in their system for their clients. My insurance expects the vendors they hire to do the right thing. My car was hit by another driver and the insurance agency contracted with Enterprise in Rockaway to provide me with a rental as my car was going into the shop on Tuesday. I contacted Enterprise on Friday to indicate I wanted to place my son as an additional driver on the contract and asked what I needed to bring with me. I spoke to Kevin, the manager. He asked me my sons age, 33, and told me he needed to be there in person with his license. On Tuesday, my son took off from work to drive me to Enterprise and to present his paperwork. We were then told there would be a $15 additional drivers fee. Kevin NEVER mentioned in our conversation on Friday there would be an additional drivers fee. I was not going to pay the additional $15 out of pocket. My son was obviously frustrated and upset over Kevin's lack of communication on Friday and that he took off a day when it could have been prevented had this information been relayed on Friday. Kevin's response.... he told us to cancel the contract since we were unhappy!! When I asked if there was anything we could do I was told I could place my husband on the contract but he would also have to appear in person. My husband also works! I declined putting anyone on the contract. Kevin then brought me out to the car I was to receive and the drivers seat had obvious stains where I would be sitting (seat was black, stains were from an unknown liquid). I pointed out the stains to Kevin and became extremely concerned about COVID and the lack of precautions that had been taken to clean the car. Kevin stated he did not see any stains on the seat. I took a picture as the stains were obvious. After verbalizing my concerns over Covid and how dirty the car was he offered to place me in the car parked next to it. I opened the drivers door and found the floor on the drivers side had leaves and dirt, indicating the car had obviously not been cleaned upon its return, yet was being offered to me, AFTER I verbalized my concerns over Covid and requesting a clean car. I took a picture of this as well. Kevin's response to me was he would cancel my contract, which he mentioned to me 4 times during our review of the cars. Is that the answer he has to every concern a customer has?? All I was asking for was a clean car. Poor management, communication and lack of concern over offering a clean car even with an Enterprise promise that each car has a Covid clean standard that is being met. I LEFT WITHOUT TAKING A CAR and now have to reschedule my repair with the auto body shop. I will NEVER rent from here..... and if anyone is ever concerned about how clean a rental car is this is not the place to rent from. read more

Do not schedule with this Enterprise. They called me after my pick up time and asked if I was ready and wouldn't be there for another 5 minutes. I had to postpone my car repair so I wouldn't be late for work. I am extremely disappointed in the fact that I had to bring my car in later for repair, wait longer for my car due to enterprise and pay for a rental longer. I have requested to my insurance company to use a different rental car company because I will never use them again. Enterprise Rent-a-Car Dover saves the day again!! My friend and I needed fast thinking and competent hands to rectify a flat-tire on an Enterprise car this wintry morning. Our rental car (from the Wayne office) got a flat over night (probably due to the extreme temperatures). Getting to work for a 9:30 am appointment was top priority- and Vinny and Bill understood this. (Flat tire discovered at 8 or 8:15 and about an hour commute from Rockaway to Wayne.) I called Enterprise Roadside Assistance with no luck (they were probably really jammed up with this weather)- then when Bill (Manager at the Rockaway location) got on the phone I started to breathe better. He called the mechanic to come out right away, and right away they (he and his co-worker, another male) came out with tire pressurizer/valve and most importantly...ANOTHER CAR FOR J!! (Sorry guys, I didn't catch your names.) Amazingly, within 15-20 minutes, the car with the mechanic and other Enterprise representative came whizzing in (right next to the car-with-a-flat) with reinforcements. They took the "problem" car away and left J with the car he needed!! He was driving away in minutes...Everyone (including Mike in the Wayne office) allayed me concerns about safety and urgent transportation needs with their responsiveness, validation, and most importantly QUICK ACTION!! I had a car accident needed to rent a car since I always have had great experience with Enterprise they were my first call. I called Enterprise to set up an appointment arranged for a pick up. I was assured of 1130am pick up, no one showed or called. I had to make arrangements to get to Rockaway location on my own. Once I arrived there was no acknowledgement of the missed pick up time. Enterprise of Morristown/Parsippany - Did not have the car size I requested and was given a gas guzzler instead. Had to exchange at the Parsippnay location who gave me a car with the gas gauge on E, literally on E, and filthy. But the kicker is they charged my credit card a month later for some bogus toll charges while I was out of the country on vacation, with out notifying me or getting authorization. I will NEVER do business with this company again. They are dishonest and unprofessional. Take your business Dollar Rental or any other company besides Enterprise. read more

Get this...there's a convention in town today 7/20/2011, and not a rental car available anywhere. I called enterprise in Rockaway, Parsippany, Morristown, and Denville. None had cars. I called their helpdesk, and they said they had a car in Livingston and reserved it for me. My wife dropped me off, since I had a reservation. Then I find out they really don't have any cars. They had me sit there for a couple of hours, then the manager took me to Warnock chevy, to pick up a truck that was having warranty repairs done, just so he could get me on the road! So I call enterprise back at my favorite location, and I'm begging the agent to try to find me a compact car and she tells me there is nothing available in north Jersey...! Momma Mia.! So much drama. I'm going to add this to my life story book! So my conclusion is this: 1. The Rockaway location is always pleasant, works with you, is clean, and has nice people like Amanda working there, and 90% of the time I have been happy with my rentals there. And they have tried to work with me when I was not happy! 2. The helpdesk at enterprise sucks. First they're on central standard time, So I have to be 2 hours late to work just to make a reservation. Second, a reservation is a reservation! If I make one, I expect a car to be there waiting. If you don't have the car, don't make the reservation! (Idiots!) 3. The agent at the Livingston office, (John) and his manager, worked with me and tried hard to find me something in a difficult situation where they should have had cars...They were both nice, So I can't be mad at them, but they accepted the reservation over there in the midwest, and they should have had the car waiting. I have been renting cars from various companies when I travel. I had my car booked local to my family and they were going to make arrangements to get me there. I called the main # at Enterprise to have no luck further than what I knew. Then I called Bill at the Rockaway NJ location. Still, the price was higher than I wanted to pay. Not only did he offer suggestions, in order to get me the lowest price, he was pleasant and very informative. I searched further and found a great price using my Costco membership for a car rental at Rockaway Enterprise. Upon my arrival, I met Bill and his staff, I let them know what I was looking for in a car and they found me a car. Even though there was a little delay (waiting for my turn and there was only a half a tank of gas in the car), their rental location is comfortable and they were very helpful. I returned the car to get the same courteous service. There was a discrepancy in the invoice and it was corrected immediately. When the final bill was totaled, I even paid less than expected!!! I would not only recommend this location to anyone traveling, I will use this location again to visit my family. Great service, car was great, Thank you, Rockaway Enterprise staff!!!! read more
