The Enterprise in Prince Freederick has professional, kind and accommodating staff. I am in a rental for an extended period while my car is repaired and the rental they gave me had a left over musty cigarette smell to it. I went to exchange the car for another but they were able to treat the car with an air cleanser. They offered to take me over to Giant so I could shop while they took care of the car. They went above and beyond by washing and vacuuming it as well. Thomas is the manager there and he clearly knows how to manage and run business. He was gracious and kind. My insurance company and truck repair shop referred Enterprise for my rental. The agent which took care of my rental was very nice. His name was Rick Distefano. He explained the procedures of the rental quite thoroughly. I was impressed with the rental he driven to the facility. It was a brand new Frontier. I very much enjoyed driving the rental, while the repair shop was fixing my truck. When my truck was completed, I dropped the truck off with no hassles or delays. I was totally surprised by the totally nonchalant inconsideration shown to me by Enterprise Prince Frederick, MD. I reserved a car for the weekend of Oct. 4 - 7, 2019, and requested 2 PM pickup on Friday, the 4th. I went down to the street to be there when the driver arrived. At 2:12 PM, when no one had arrived, I called to ask if they had forgotten me. I was told that there was someone "enroute". I explained that I was standing down on the road and it was very windy so I hope they would arrive soon. I was told they'd be right there. If not, I would have at least walked back to the house. At 2:40 PM, when no one had arrived, I called again and was told that the driver had to pick up another customer in the area who wasn't ready. This time I was told the driver was 8 minutes away. They said they would take me to the body shop to get a car since it was near me. I stated that the Enterprise office was only 7.5 miles from me and I had to go that direction anyway. The body shop was in the opposite direction. That was not any favor. I stated that if they were not going to pick me up at 2 PM that they should have called and informed me. They said they could give me 10% off, $8.50. Eight dollars and fifty cents. My time is way more valuable than $8.50. So, I was put on hold while they called the driver. I was again told they were almost there. They were not. At 2:58 PM, I called yet again. This time I was told that the driver was outside my house. He was not. I told him there was no one at 3280 so I was put on hold again and then told he went to 3290, having been given the incorrect address. I then saw him come down the road. When I got into the car, the driver apologized saying that the other passenger had dropped off a car at your body shop and, though he requested that someone else pick me up because he was going to be a while, the Manager and two Assistant Managers had decided they wanted him to pick me up because he was in my general area. It was no concern to them that I was left waiting on the road for one hour. Their management decision was a very poor one. When we arrived at the Enterprise office, I was given a car and went literally to the grocery store next door. When I opened the car door and the sun shined in, I could see how dirty the car was inside. There was something smeared on the inside of the driver's side door and there appeared to be cigarette ashes or dust on everything. It smelled like air spray had been used to cover up for smoke smell. I determined that I did not want to put any groceries in that car nor did I even want to drive the car. I immediately called the Enterprise office to say I was bringing it back and was put on hold. Needless to say, I had waited enough so I eventually hung up and just drove back to the office. When I entered Enterprise, there was no one there. Then one of the Assistant managers came in and asked if he could help and I told him I couldn't put my groceries in a car that was dirty and smelled. He said there was one more car and showed me a smaller car. As I looked at it, I told him that I really no longer needed or wanted a car and wanted a ride back home. I had arranged for a pickup at 2 PM for a reason. It was now after 4 PM. I would not have time do what I needed to do and get where I was going in time. Weekend plans cancelled. All of the times I was put on hold on the phone, I had to listen over and over again to, "Enterprise treats its customers the way they deserve to be treated". This crew is spot on. I've rented at least 10 different vehicles over the last couple of years via my company, and its a seamless transaction everytime. Upgrades are easy enough and they handle the communication between my fleet office and I so that I can stay on the road without hassle. Vehicles are clean and ready to go with fuel by the time they promise, and courtesy rides from the local dealership make vehicle swaps easy. Overall I was satisfied with my rental here. I needed a short-term, one day rental and needed to be picked up for it. I called the 1-800 number initially to first confirm that this was possible (it was) and then what the procedure was. I then called the PF office and made the reservation for a few hours later. I asked to be picked up about an hour or two later and was about 10 miles from the rental office. I got a call when the car was on its way and saw the car pull up, so I'm not sure if they call again when they get to the house. Arielle was very pleasant and we had a good conversation on the 15 minute drive back to the office. Once we got there, there was about a 20-30 minute process of verifying my insurance coverage through USAA, signing waivers, checking the car for previous damage, etc. Overall it was a pretty smooth process considering it was Friday afternoon. It was a tad irritating knowing I have to wait for $200 of a deposit to get refunded to my account since I used a debit card (but this is industry standard). What I deducted a star for was the fact that I asked to return the car at around 4 pm on Saturday and was told if I wanted to do so, I would be charged until Monday ($100, triple the one day rate) since they close at noon on Saturday and are closed Sunday. I am flying out of town on Monday morning so if I really did need to have the car until after noon on Saturday I would have been screwed. I moved some plans around and got my dad to be my second driver to get me down there-but otherwise it would have been a HUGE hassle. read more

The only reason I gave them a star was because I couldn't go any lower. On a scale of 1-10, I would give them -5. I have had an awful time trying to get things straightened out. Called the local branch, called the Corporate Office and all I get in response are lies. The local branch says they will get the issue straightened out by the end of business on Thursday, July 18, 2019 and I am still waiting for a call back, it is now Thursday, October 10, 2019. I have called the Corporate Office every Thursday for 2 months and all I can get out of them is that they are sorry. I can't get a number for a Regional Manager or a Corporate Manager because they can only contact them through email and I can't email them, it has to be done internally. They say I should hear back from them by the end of business that day. I call again and they give me the same answers, only this time the turnaround time changes from the end of business that day to I will get a response in 7-10 days!! Again, I started all this on July 18th!! It is now October 10th and no one has bothered to contact me. A friend of mine posted a comment about this issue and Enterprise responded to her that they wanted more information. She let me know about it and asked me to send them the required information. On Thursday, October 10, 2019, I received this message from Enterprise: Enterprise Care Box Thu, Oct 10, 5:39 PM (2 days ago) to Dear Enterprise Customer: It has been brought to our attention that when you attempted to email Enterprise, your email was not delivered to our customer service team due to a technical issue. Thank you, Enterprise Customer Service On Monday, October 7th, I got a call from the Business Department of Enterprise wanting to finish setting up our Corporate Account!! I asked about setting up this account 3 years ago. I have had to ask about this every year for 3 years and now they decide to respond. Don't go here ! Be warned !! At first when we went they were nice . Now it's time to return the car: but the manager made an error. We reserved a car one way from prince Frederick to JFK. When he read back the reservation I said : no it's one way to NY. New York is 5 hours away ..FYI. He did not change the reservation.. So today we call .. some other guy answers and tells us it's a additional 150 .. I'm like no ..are u kidding , we were not told and he was made Aware.. The guy then puts me on hold, then tells me he can take 50 dollars off for the confusion. I said what confusion? I made it clear. I corrected him . So he puts me on hold again. Then the manager himself is now on the phone...he said I did say that but he thought I was just going to NY... No.. we are from California and Vienna, we have tickets back to California from JFK.. He says well it's 150 but he can do 100.. I tell him no, we were not told, we can't do 100! He said well then we will take your deposit. I tell him not what our deposit was for, and that's not OK. He starts arguing and so I tell him I'm not going to get upset about this on my last day, before I get on a flight.. but I tell him to do what he needs to do, but as a consumer he should have told me my charges before not after . And he made the error .. he said he was confused ... I told him ok .. but I will write a review because it's not ok.. he then says if I'm going to write the review then he is not going to discount it, he will charge the 150. I always make my reservations online and they always call beforehand to confirm, and everytime I have gone in to the store to pick up my car, I have never waited. I made a reservation for noon on Saturday to pick up a car at Prince Frederick. Received an email reservation confirmation. Arrive at 11:50am to find the location closed...at least 10 minutes early. So, website makes reservations that it cannot fulfill and Prince Frederick closes early when it wants. Ruined my whole weekends plans. Dont planes fly everyday? Giving a star only because I have to. Could not have been more disappointed. Went in the day before I needed the car, gave them all the information they needed, and told them I would need to pick the car up at 10am the next day for a Funeral. Was running late, called at 11am the day i was to pick up the car, they did not have a car... It was in transit from Mechanics fill. 11:30am I am at their office, car is not ready, they are dragging their feet. Finally asked to speak to the manager, who was in ear shot the whole time. Advised her how disappointed I was, and that I was not being made late. Instead of pushing the staff to move faster, she starts typing away on the computer, and offers me a free rental the next time i needed a car. I cancelled the car, had them credit back the money to my credit card, and left. Have been a customer of this Enterprise since 2006 - from renting a car for prom to renting a van for moving, their customer service has always been outstanding. And, with a little notice they will accommodate your vehicle of choice. Plus, the cars are always clean and fresh (both in and out). The store is well managed and the staff is great. I've never had a problem with either reserving online or in-person. Only drawback is they close early on Saturday, but they added a key drop box for returns before Monday AM. read more

Due to an insurance claim I needed to drop my car at a body shop, I get an email and did the reservation using their Priority Pass, on a Thursday, I selected the car I needed, the date (Monday), time (15 minutes before the body shop closes) and location (the body shop) I needed to pick the rental car. I got there on Monday and the body shop doesn't have my info. Body shop called Enterprise, finally they find my reservation and I was told they sent it to another office (20 miles away). Around 5:30, 30 minutes after the shop closes, one of the shop workers tells me that the enterprise driver is on his way to pick me up and that I needed to go back with the driver to the Prince Frederick office to fill out paper work, Wasn't Priority Pass supposed to expedite my "rental process"?????? UPDATE: TOM, I have forwarded the original confirmation email three times to Care@enterprise.com, three times I have gotten an email saying my "email address is not associated with this incident", you can see on the forwarded emails and the confirmation email the same email address. read more

I have never been more dissatisfied with a business or service than I am with Enterprise. I came in early Monday to rent a vehicle. Bobby and I picked out my vehicle and was told it needed an oil change and that they would change the oil and clean the vehicle and call me when it was ready. I never received a phone call. I call and told it would be done 1st thing in the AM and would call again when ready. Tuesday, no call! I get a call Wed AM and told they have a different vehicle to which I just agree so that I'm not another day without a vehicle. I go in and ask that they pick me up because I didn't have anyone to drop me off. The girl who helped me with this said that they would pick me up @ 5 to which I waited until 6:15 with no call, no show and today also no call and am still without a vehicle. Very disappointed with the way I was treated. I picked up a car after 6 p.m. on the 9th of July and at 5:00 on the 12th I dropped it off at the body shop because my car was ready. I called the Enterprise office and was told that it was okay to drop it off and Caliber Collision would take care of checking it in. On Monday I discover that I was charged for 4 days even though I only had the car for 3 days (less than 72 hours). I called and asked why I was charged for 4 days even though I only had the car for less than 3 and they told me that they charge on a "calendar day" rather than the actual time you have the car. What a ripoff! So by their count I had the car 4 days instead of the actual 3 days. Never again will I do business with Enterprise anywhere in the world. The slogan they keep repeating when you are on hold on the phone is how much they love their customers. More like how much they love their customers' money. Terrible. read more

Was not Happy with this service, On the site when I made the reservation it said I had to pay 62$ when I came to the store it grew to 110$ witch is almost double ( my point being they should have made it more clear on the site that I had to pay a lot extra insurance) Then they asked me if I wanted to pay with credit or debit, I said debit but because I was out of state They needed to put 1$ on my credit card. And the rest on my debit, so good I went on my tour, good car clean and nice. But When I checked my credit card (witch should only say 1$ according to the lady in the shop) that afternoon it 189$ was written off. I called on Monday morning and it turned out that 80$ of that I got back but they never told me that I needed to pay that, it doesn't matter to me that I had to pay that I just wanted them to tell me! And they also did not tell me that they used my credit card instead of my debit card and after the day they got it off my debit. Witch for me means that I spend the whole what was supposed to be a fun day worrying about money and being angry at the service. This was the office in Prince Fredrick MD maybe other offices are more clear about it but I do think they should change the site! So my experience with this company is not good! read more

This location here in Prince Frederick is not worth your time. I had made a appointment to be picked up. After 30 past time agree on, I called to see what the delay was. After 10 minutes, I was told they didn't know who I was and they were not picking me up. I then found a ride to their office and was told they would not rent a car to me. This establishment is the biggest scam. First off the employees that work there are not helpful. They don't even know there own polices, they aren't friendly, and act like they don't want to be there. If you need to contact them by phone... well I hope you have days because nobody ever answers! Poor business etiquette. We rented this service for our wedding and ended up having to pay for the same bus twice!!! Then they send you a copy of their policy that they should be handing out to employees because all of these questions were asked at the time of rental and I was.told it would be okay to use my credit card and not drive.... which is not true. I guess to be fair I could have read that but when the employee tells you it's okay I didn't think about doing more investigation. I've delt with many levels at this company at this point and have found none to be helpful.
