Very disappointed with enterprise these day. I wanted to rent a car, literally the cheapest one for my road trip. I showed up thinking my total would be $280, WRONG ! They charged me an extra $120 because of my age ! Then a extra $92 just for "distance and time "? Whatever that is ANNDDD ANOTHER $267 just because I needed to drop of at a different ENTERPRISE. I'm absolutely disgusted with enterprise I'm pay TRIPLE WHAT I WAS QUOTED so sick. I rented from them for years and they have NEVER charged me this much. I have rented many cars in my life and Enterprise Rent-A-Car is my choice when I need a car. With my Costco discount, how could you complain about the cost..... about $25 per day ($191/week, actually). Cheaper than Uber or Lyft if you go any distance at all. And they will pick you up and return you home. I selected a Hyundai Elantra to rent for a week. I was picked up at my home (must be within 5 miles of the shop, I believe) by John, who was friendly but professional and polite. He took me to their location and I had my car within 15 minutes. There were plenty of agents to assist me. My car was clean, though a few scratches and bumps were noted. The car functioned well and without any problems. Brakes, steering, and all other systems worked as expected. And the Elantra actually did get more than 40 mpg! Customer service was fantastic! I returned my car an hour later than I was suppose to, but Austin waived any late fee. At other rental shops, I was charged an additional day just for being minutes late. I did appreciate the customer service at this location. I'm a fan of Enterprise and their competitive rates. I will return. read more

Horrible customer service! I rent cars from Enterprise all the time for work without any issues at other locations. Had a flat tire for my rental and called the Enterprise road side assistance that directed me to this location from where I was staying at for work. The lady that worked with me stated it would be easier to go to the tire shop a few doors down. I told her I did not have time because of work meetings and then stated she couldn't help me to switch cars out but that I needed to go to the tire shop. I had to wait 2 hours and 43 minutes to be repaired and missed work because of it. I went back once I found out how long it would take and they still refused to switch the car out. She also made a comment about not getting the car from this location. It's all Enterprise so what's the difference?!? read more

Most certainly dealt with by far the most poorest customer service by an employer named Ashley at the redding enterprise car rental center. I was in the process of getting my reserved suv for an upcoming eye surgery appointment. I was already under a lot of anxiety due to my upcoming surgery and Ashley persisted to mock my voice and laugh at me at how i have made a resevation for two suv's and roll her eyes at me as if i were stupid and a waste of her time. I was informed very little to the process of my reservation as well so i had to put money on a card linked to my employer along with a paystub. In the future, enterprise should notify while reserving your car so you dont have to delay your process of getting a vehicle... Ashley made me very uncomfortable with her childish behavior while already dealing with being scared and stressed for my eye surgery, I cancelled my resevation and took my business to herts rental center. I was treated very respectful by Herts. I will never come back to enterprise because of Ashleys customer service. I hope she never has to deal eith this kind of customer service in her life, especially before a surgery... read more

I would like to thank the staff at Enterprise who rescued my hubby from the GMC dealer on a hot, May day after he got stranded on I-5 while towing our boat to our place up north. From the Safeway bread aisle down in the Bay Area I called you to please please go pick up my hot, tired husband and dog from the GMC dealer and provide him with a car to get to our cabin. You did just that. And, you gave him water, too. THANK YOU. And my husband was more than happy to put that cranky customer in his place after he tried to tell my husband how to care for our dog. My car is in the shop and the insurance company uses Enterprise, so I didn't have a choice in the matter. I've never used Enterprise, so I didn't really know what to expect. When I called from the body shop, they had a driver there within 10 minutes to take me back to get my rental car. The entire check-in process was quick, and the man who helped me was friendly and provided great customer service. The vehicle they put me in was comparable to mine (AWD being crucial for me because of snow and steep driveways!), clean and freshly washed. I don't know what their rates are like since I'm not paying for it, but if they are competitive, I'll definitely use Enterprise in the future! Also, I'd give 5 stars if I knew their rates were competitive; I've heard they are more expensive. All in all, it was a great experience! read more

My experience with Enterprise has been absolutely horrifying. I was set up through my insurance to pick up a vehicle and confirmed through Enterprise for pickup on Wednesday at 10 am with a shuttle picking me up down the street at my auto repair shop. On Wednesday, I called to let Enterprise know I was ready for my shuttle and waited 35 minutes before my auto shop just offered to take me to pick up my rental. When I arrived, I got checked in and was told to take a chair and sit in the sun because it was so windy and freezing outside, and I wasn't aware that we would be sitting outdoors to wait. I got over that and took a chair and sat in the sun... for over 45 minutes before someone came out to me to tell me that they didn't have the vehicle that I reserved available for me at that time and offered me a minivan. I didn't care, I was freezing at that point so I said okay. Then he proceeded to tell me that I had to return the van the next day because someone else needed the van and they would swap me into a different vehicle and I wouldn't have to wait, they would just swap me out and I would be on my way. I agreed to this, and arrived at the scheduled time on Thursday, this time with my 3-year-old, only to have them tell me to take a seat and that they would figure out what was going on. As I am sitting outside with my daughter, one of the gentlemen came up and said I would be taking a 4 runner and they just had to clean and sanitize it first. About 30 minutes later, he came back and said he "jumped the gun, and the 4runner was already accounted for" and that he would need to find me something else.. then about 20 minutes later, a different man had the nerve to come up to me and ask me if I could come back at 4 (3 hours later) because they didn't have a vehicle for me at this time. I told him no, I couldn't because I had my daughter and that's not what I agreed to and if I had a way to leave, I would have left right then and there and never returned. Unfortunately, this is where my insurance is partnered through, and I had no choice but to stay. He FINALLY returned another 15 minutes later and told me he had a Malibu for me and he just had to go check out the minivan and I'd be on my way. Once we were loaded up, car seats in the car, he told me that they would be placing ANOTHER $200 deposit on my account even though yesterday they had just placed a $251 hold on my credit card for the ONE day I had the rental, and I absolutely lost it. I was told that any additional days that I needed the rental would be taken out of the security deposit and this was not the case. This is extremely poor customer service and it's not my fault your store has no cars. Do not schedule an appt for someone if you have no availability. To top it all off, I only get to keep this car until today and I have to return it and do the same process all over again. Definitely not going to happen, I will pay full price at another rental service for the next week that my car is in the shop rather than spend another minute of my time at Enterprise Rent a Car. I will tell every person I know about my experience so they know what to expect when coming to this location, and I won't be returning after I drop off my vehicle. read more

Gotta say this was the best rental experience I've had. I booked online, but had to call local office with a few questions. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable - clearly answered my questions. The day before my scheduled pick-up I received a confirmation which was nice and the rep was very friendly. I had to wait a bit at check out but they offered me another option - which I declined. I did get a nicer car than I booked and the price went down from my online booking - so all is good. Will definitely use them again. read more

We had an collision with animal and that caused physical damage to the car. The staff didn't give clear instructions on the exchange process when we went there at 7:30 AM on July 5 and based on their assumptions, wasted our time when we went to them later in the evening to pick up the car. They were quite rude, and didn't care for 4 lives at risk and we were forced to drive the physically damaged car back to San Jose (3 hours away) Really disappointed with the Enterprise services received at this location! Lindsey was amazing! I flew an aircraft up to Redding in support of EMS for the fires and ended up stuck with no way to get to Enterprise during business hours as I was required to be at base with the aircraft as an on call EMS Helicopter. I spoke to Lindsey who told me that they could not bring me a car but could come and get me. When I explained why I couldn't come and get the car she said "we'll take care of you," and brought the car to my base at the airport! A quick checkout and I was all set. I would have had a big problem had she not helped me out on this and I am very appreciative! THANKS LINDSEY, you're the best! BTW, the car was nice, new and perfect! read more

I reserved a ext suv. They said they would pick me up at 12:30. I got no call. I called them at 2:30. They said they had a ext suv and their drive. When I got there they did not have what they said they had for me. They tried to put me in a smaller suv. That dose not work since I'm taking my family on a trip. So now I have to wait till tomorrow. Walked in the door and they were all sharp and on top of my rental. Very friendly group. They checked over my car to make sure it was in good shape. (Another company out by the airport just handed me the key and sent me on my way with no confirming check). Also the guys at Enterprise paid attention to what I wanted. In fact they upgraded me to a fun car as it was an anniversary get-away for my wife and me to go to Napa Valley. Finally, after returning the car and having the same experience I expressed my plans to switch to Enterprise from another company that starts with the letter B. When I mentioned that sometimes they were high on rental costs they suggested I call their store so they could try to adjust their costs. Overall, after dealing with several different car rental agencies, these guys are far more eager to help and strike me as more professional. Twice now i have had one of their competitors hand me car keys just before they closed, by the time i got to the lot and realized there was damage on the car I could not get back in to tell them. Plus it's a hassle to do it that way. Not with Enterprise. They walk the car with you. That's how it should be. Lastly, I don't have to hire an Uber to get to Enterprise as they will pick up. So Redding, CA Enterprise, you guys won another customer this past week. Thanks guys for giving me a fun launch to my anniversary get-away. Poor customer service, every branch tells you something different. I tried to make a payment multiple times and they wouldn't accept it. When I was in another area they had me drive to another branch to make the payment, only to be told I couldn't do that. They make renting a car extremely difficult, and offer no help when you ask them for solutions. I'd rate lower if I could. read more

Reserved a cargo type van to help my daughter move out of state. When we got there the only van available was in West Sacramento. They wouldn't even have their employees bring it up, but they were kind enough to give us a rental car to go get the van. How is that good customer service?!? I have been renting cars from enterprise for many years now. Unfortunately i've had my first bad experience with customer service, with the manager by the way, Ashley Garcia. Terrible customer service she had an attitude she tells me one thing and then tells me another 10 minutes later the other workers there they we're trying to get us into one of the cars that we had reserved. She said first come first served. I see a full-size car which I had reserved for pick up today pulling into the parking lot. So I asked one of the workers and he said it shouldn't be a problem because like they say first come first served. So then I talk to the manager Ashley again and she switched up on me and said that's not what she meant and she gave me a whole Nother story and at the same time she was being very rude I'm giving this Enterprise one star review read more

Cannot believe how easy it was to get a car through Enterprise! My Rental Agent Jessie made the process easy and really---well fun! Long story short----crashed my truck and had to get some insurance work done. Enterprise actually me at the collision center with the rental car and I drove off. I've always had great service renting from Enterprise, but unfortunately their reservation system doesn't recognize that a person making a reservation expects to pick up a car. I had a reservation to pick up a car two hours ago and am sitting in the office with no car. Why did they even bother picking me up? While waiting, I am having the experience of listening to four staff members discuss student loan debt, buying new cars, and engagement ring purchases. Not my idea of professional service. read more

I was not pleased with the service I received here. They were late to pick me up along with several other customers from Hild Collision. When renting my vehicle, the man behind the counter was neither friendly nor "enthusiastic" about his job. I paid for an upgrade to a Mid-SUV just for the heck of it. When the salesman showed me my vehicle it wasn't the model that I thought I was renting and it was pretty small for a mid-suv. I told the man that I wasn't thrilled, He looked at me like I was nuts and said that they have one other vehicle that would work (it was a POS in the corner of their lot). I was just ready to be done with the situation and took the feminine SUV that he gave me. What made it worse was that I had just come from Hild where they have excellent customer service! read more

This is the second time I have made an appointment ahead of time to get my car and BOTH times when I arrived the car was not ready and I had to wait over an hour. They prioritize the people who return their car late over the people who need to get a car and get on the road. Worse company ever ! I live 2 hours away and My insurance set a rental for me and I call them to verify that everything was ready to go and they say yes ,everything is ready ! they also confirm my info . I asked if they can pick me up since my car was at the dealer for repair and they yes we will pick you up . After a hour and a half I decided to take Uber . When I show up they didn't want to give me the rental that was already paid because I have a temporary card from my bank because lost the original. They know who's going to pay ! They have my info ! And even explain that I live 2 hours away they didn't care . This company sucks I don't recommend at all . I've rented hundreds and can see that there is a delicate balancing act between supply and demand, and often they are patronized by persons without credit cards, and who are in a rental paid for by insurance or some other third party. That being said the employees of this enterprise location execute faster, kinder, and more enthusiastic than most. They always try and meet my needs, often upgrade me for a nominal fee and are very pleasant to deal with. read more

He assured me that the folks at the Redding Enterprise are typically great and were having a difficult month being severely understaffed. " No cars ready come back in half hour"..come back, still no economy cars ready but we'll rent you a Toyota Tacoma for the same price, however yes, it will cost you more in gas and it will cost you $30 and insurance a day instead of $10 in Insurance a day., and no we won't reimburse you for any of that do to our error. The agents were not helpful, did not bother to check their system for car availability, and did not even bother to explain why their policies were different from those posted online. I have traveled throughout California and been to at least a dozen branches all who had extremely helpful staff who went out of their way to assist me. This is the only branch which has consistently not met my expectations. I don't think I will be doing any more business with them in the future. read more

Staff was great and very helpful in getting me into a rental while my car was in the shop after I was rear ended. The car on the other hand was very gross inside. It smelled like someone had smoked a whole pack of cigars inside, the e brake handle appeared to have been used as a chew toy by a dog, and the headliner had what appeared to be footprints on it. read more

Got here to a completely different car, supposed to be in same category but is smaller and for a 2017 model, was gross. Every-time I cone here I get shat on, never have what's promised.
