My insurance rented the car for me, they (enterprise) called me and got all the info, they emailed me to fill out all the info again for express services. I have rented from Enterprise several times over the last 2 years. Great customer service. The employees working there when I pick up always are very courteous. I've gotten several really good free upgrades through my email. The cars are always very clean. Very seldom do I ever wait more then a few minutes to be helped. Everything is always explained about the car. I appreciate the amazing service. It's always a great comfort to travel and not worry about break downs. I will continue to rent from enterprise until I buy a newer vehicle as my Camry has a ton of miles on it. It's a lot of fun to drive different vehicle as we are in the market for a new vehicle and are undecided as to what we want to buy. read more

Worst customer service i have ever received in my life! My dad and uncle reserved a moving style truck to load my storage unit to bring my belongings to Las Vegas, we are on a time frame to get my stuff here so made the reservation for the vehicle three weeks ago. My dad went to pick up the vehicle this morning to be told "we actually don't have a vehicle for you, the closest one is in Sacramento. We tried to call you yesterday (which is a bold face LIE!) " so if they knew YESTERDAY they could not accommodate our reservation why did they not send someone to pick up the truck in Sacramento for us, or have it brought here from the other company?! Instead they made my dad drive to Sacramento to pick up the truck and that is ONLY because my cousin used to work for them and she contacted a general manager! This is the worst customer service ever!! Now we are being put off our time schedule because they can't accommodate reservations!! Here's a thought... if you don't have the vehicle requested DONT ACCEPT THE RESERVATION!!! read more

Rented a car today that I am completely unhappy with. Not properly washed and someone's hair is covered all over the car. When mentioned it seemed to just be an annoyance. Was told over the phone that cars would be available and when we showed up there was nothing available. Car is covered in dents and scratches as well. read more

I was up north last weekend on my way to Oregon. Our car broke down and we had to get towing services back down into the Honda dealership in Redding. Unfortunately they couldn't do anything about the car at the dealership and we had to find a way to get back home to LA. The dealership guy told us we had the alternative of going into enterprise and we could rent a car. So we went into the front desk, it was a man who "greeted" us with attitude. We told him we needed a one way rental car. He gave us attitude, did not even ask were we were headed and talking about oh I don't know if we have any let me check. He walked into the back and walked back up in a second. I had the big gut feeling he didn't want to give us a car because of the way we were dressed, but keep in mind we were on a road trip and we had been stranded in this place in the middle of nowhere for a whole day without a car. I then said, we were heading back to LA and he said "oh either way you would have to pay a $200 drop off fee" and I said "don't worry about it. I have the money" and then proceeded to ignore that and told us that he didn't have any more cars. Keep in mind I am a Hispanic woman and I had my way younger siblings with me and I was scared of not having a way back home in the middle of this town were I had had a scary encounter with an individual. This was Monday around 3:30 pm so you do that what you need to do to provide better customer service. read more

Hm. I've rented from this location maybe five times in the last ten years. Sometimes, they can't be beat for rates. They've twice contacted me to let me know that they'd found damage upon return, and that I was responsible. I've rented from the Avis location at the airport about 40 times, and that's never happened. In fairness, could just be a "luck of the draw" thing, but if you rent from this place, check out the car thoroughly before you drive away. read more

Worst Enterprise I've ever dealt with. I rent all the time from Enterprise. It figures that my home branch is the worst. First, they didn't have the car they rented me. That's pretty normal for Enterprise, but they usually give you an upgrade and move you along. They tried to put me in a Kia Soul and tell me it's an upgrade. In what universe? So, when I refused to drive their toaster/go-kart, they said they would find a car and wash it for me. 30 minutes later they produced a Jetta that was wet, but not even close to clean. It was filthy inside and out. They basically sprayed it with water and hoped I wouldn't notice. I did. Lastly, I returned the car at roughly the same time I rented it on a Saturday. They were not there, so I called it into the number and left the keys in the drop box. I do this all the time with Enterprise and it has never been a problem. Except for at this branch, they charged me for Sunday as well. When I called to complain, they said that because they weren't open, they said they couldn't "officially" check it in until they got there. Once again, I've never had a problem with it in the last 4 years and I rent a lot. The assistant manager was not empathetic at all. Customer service is a foreign concept at the Redding branch. There are 3 other companies in Redding. I'm going to budget next time. read more

I made arrangements to be picked up at a local mechanic shop. They were prompt and professional, when they picked me up. We went to their office, it was fast, I was on my way in 5 min. Very friendly. I rent cars from Enterprise on Cypress every couple of months. I'm always amazed at how quickly they move people through, and how streamlined the process is. I've never had a single problem - my car is always ready for me and I've never had any damage claims or hassles. She didn't listen to me, and when I was trying to explain my situation, she interrupted me and said, "I was going to try to get you a car, but now I'm not because you're not listening to me." Beware of Redding Enterprise. I had a reservation and when I arrived they did not have any car available in the class that I requested. When a car was ultimately located, the gas tank was on empty. I was told by the sales representative that they could fill it up and I could bring it back full or I could fill it myself and they would pay me back for any unused gas. When I returned the vehicle with ¼ tank of gas the representative gave me his business card and wrote "free ¼ tank." I explained my desire to be reimbursed for the gasoline and he refused to do so. He was sorry but his policy did not allow for that. He went to his supervisor who confirmed his position. This was dishonest, beware. read more

I rent from this enterprises pretty regularly for work and personal use. My recent experience is by far the worst customer service I have received since doing business here. I reserved a car four or five days prior to the day I needed it. I get there day I needed my rental and was told it would be ready in a few minutes. Well over an hour later with no status updates I watch a number of people who came in after me get there cars! Eventually I finally get my car! What's the point of reservations if my car isn't there when I come to pick it up! read more

This place is full of noobs. Called to reserve my car and to set up a pick up at work. Man said no problem and even asked for my location address. Clock out at work a half hour later no one has showed up. Called to see what up and they said the were a little late on pick ups and that it could be another hour. I had a co worker give me a ride. I get there and people are already waiting for cars. I check in and they say it will be another hour. At this point people are getting restless including myself. They were telling people that they overbooked, and sorry and a rehersed apology was all you got. This place closes early on Sunday and I asked if I would be charged extra if I didn't get back before the doors close. She said no. Almost two hours pass before I did a wallk through with an employee. This is the time they upsell you there insurance. I declined respectfully. The employee continued to tell me what a bad idea it was even though my credit card and personal insurance policy covered the rental. I returned the car at the same time I got it Sunday. Monday morning I see that my card was charged an extra day. I go in to ask why and this employee said it was because I did come back before they closed. I said I specifically asked and was told I wouldn't be charged and extra day. This employee proceeds to tell me I am wrong and for "future reference" I needed to be back before they close. He reluctantly refunded my card. I asked him how do you charge people 3 days when I have the car for less than 48 hours? Or why you don't proactivaly discount a persons rental when they drop the ball and are late in getting a car but will charge people late fees for bring a car back. I've had great experiences renting cars from different companys and even other Enterprise locations. This locations will not get my business. read more

This review is specifically targeted to the Branch in Redding, CA. I've had great customer service at all enterprise locations except this one (Redding, CA.) I explained that the rental I had was having issues with starting up due to a battery. The car was a Nissan Maxima, the Manager- Mr. T, said he isn't able to give me any cars except for a tiny Kia Rio, and added well it's wheels and will get you around. I was expecting better customer service than that especially if I'm a customer who rents from enterprise every week for the last month Monday thru Friday. At least, swap the battery or offer to give me a ride to work while they wait on a return that is comparable to the car I have. I think his managerial skills are not a level that is out to help the company but instead turn off customers when they need help. I suggest he does more training if he's the man to running the show here in Redding because he definitely showed no effort in helping a customer out. I won't mention this Managers name but I'm sure if you read this message you'll know who you are and I recommend you change your customer service attitude, before you show your colleagues the wrong standards and ruin it for other Enterprise offices out there who do their job right. read more

Very easy process when I logged in all my info online. Insurance covered it while my car was getting repaired. I was helped right away but didn't end up liking the first car since the USB slot didn't work. I went back and they gave me a different car without a problem. Staff is great to work with. Only complaint would be that the car stunk like someone had left food in it for a few days... read more

I've been using the Cypress Ave. location for years. They always take time to ensure that my discounts are in order so that I get the best rate. The cars are always clean and new. The staff there are professional and all pretty darn nice too. When on the east coast we have to use another company. They never compare to Enterprise. read more

Ok so when u overhear a clerk say they don't want to be a car service in reference to picking up someone it is disturbing since their motto is we'll pick you up. Every single time we rent from here they don't require the gas tanks to be full. It is so irritating when you pick up a car and have to stop to fill it up just going to sacramento or Bay Area and you are on a tight early morning deadline. read more

This is the slowest location to rent a car. Not only is the initial rental painfully slow, but so is the drop off. I prefer any car rental place in Redding to this one. At the end of it all they attempted charge an additional $50 as a one way fee though our car was booked one way! What a scam. Obviously we did not pay the fee as it was not on the original contract. Poor service and poor charging practice. read more

I have used Enterprise Rent-A-Car several times in the past year. They have always been very friendly and professional. The wait time for the car is pretty slow but I attribute that to the many people reserving cars and coming in at the busiest time. I feel sad for the employees as, each time I am there, there are people who claim they "had no idea there would be a $200 deposit on my credit card." It says that when you reserve the car and all over the place in the office! Wake up people. I also feel for the employees because I hear "how about a free upgrade". Listen, if you wanted a bigger car, you should have reserved a bigger car! Everybody seems to want something for nothing. Lack of knowledge new Asian girl n Latin guy. I was told by them. I was in the weekend special for 400miles I had 2 extra days at normal rate w unlimited miles. When I return they said I went over 200 miles really yes manager acted dumb n charged me $40 bucks for that. This is the last time I go to them. They deserve 0stars. I love enterprise there the only place I can go since I don't have a credit card. I've been renting with them for almost a yr and every time they always upgrade me. There online service is amazing my husband and I have always been treated great until they hired some new girl she's really rude and needs to learn customer service she just has a snoody look on her face when she ran my husband's card it was chard $3.75 extra for a fee that's never happen before. Enterprise Rent-A-Car staff was for the most part friendly and professional. There were a few associates that came of snarky, but overall the experience was good. They were prompted when assigning me a vehicle, as well as when I returned the vehicle. There was a unique situation that arose, and the management team handled it nicely. Although here were some communication breakdowns between staff members, the processes were handled promptly and professionally.
