EPIC FAILURE in CUSTOMER SERVICE and BASIC KINDNESS! 10056 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA Eddie, The male associate on duty, was rude and provided extremely poor customer service on a rainy Sunday, December 10. This location of Enterprise failed miserably at living up to their company motto: "CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUR WAY OF LIFE" They need to add... except on Sundays, when we fail to offer customers rides after receiving their return rentals, and do not make them aware of this restriction in advance. The customer was left to find their own way home during the pouring down rain on Sunday, December 10. Because the customer thought Enterprise would provide a ride home, the customer was not appropriately attired to walk home on Broad Street in the rainy conditions!!! Eddie reiterated they "do not" provide rides on Sunday, after Amora, one of the other workers was "trying" to figure something out. Eddie further illustrated their exceptional non-customer service skills at this location - and poor management! I might also mention they failed miserably in having a vehicle ready for the rental at the start of this experience, despite the reservation being made well in advance by a professional travel agency, which delayed the departure for an extremely long drive. This is the third time Enterprise has failed to measure up. The first time we used them, the car was empty on gas and filthy at the start of the rental experience. The 2nd experience, the car had mechanical issues. Today is the third and final experience with Enterprise! Change your motto or get your act together by recruiting managers that live up to it. I was hit in an accident so my car was in collision repair for a week. Geico suggested I take my car to Parks Collision and that Enterprise would handle my rental vehicle. The day I drove my car to the repair shop, my rental vehicle was already there in the morning and they upgraded me to make sure the size of the SUV was comparable to my own. I had a Chevy Traverse. It was newer, clean, comfortable with leather interior and a nice stereo. It also came with an individual Clorox wipe so bonus for keeping it sanitary and germ-free, guys! The girl handling my case and rental for the week was super nice, friendly and easy to talk with. She made sure to go over all the details of the contract, the refueling options and any other coverage for the rental. I didn't even have to get out of the car and go into a building, when we were finished I just got into the driver seat and that was it! I enjoyed my nice ride for the week and the morning I had to return it, I simply left it at the collision repair place with the keys. WORST rental car experience of my life. After a long day at work on Monday, October 1st, Pearson did not service my service my Jeep as promised so I was forced to rent a car from Enterprise at 7919 West Broad St. I was told there was a car waiting for me at Enterprise but unfortunately I had to wait at least 30 minutes. The young man assisting me was more concerned about cracking jokes and being a 'cool guy' and not about renting me car car for a day. Enterprise made me pay $50 but said they would refund the money so we'll see what happens. I was given a mini van(!) and drove the 3 miles home. Next morning I went to work in downtown Richmond and the gas light was on! The cool guy gave me an (unfamiliar) rental car for 24 hours with a GAS TANK ON EMPTY!!!!! I was stranded downtown with NO GAS and no gas station nearby. I had no idea if I could drive 1 mile or 100 miles on this empty tank! I called Enterprise the morning of October 2nd and spoke with Andre. Andre said he is a 'problem solver' and would call me back with a solution. Unfortunately I'm still waiting for that call. I called near the end of the day on Tuesday and spoke with the manager, Darius. Darius apologized and said he would call me back. Unfortunately I'm still waiting for that call. Thankfully I made it to a gas station and put $10 in the tank. Still waiting for the $50 rental car refund and the $10 in gas. I'm not an 'agist' but the "gentleman" who work at Enterprise seemed extremely young and barely acted 18. The store itself was disgusting. Dirty, open space with a counter and a card table and chairs for a desk. I will never rent a car from Enterprise again and I will take this unfortunate incident to the highest person possible within the company. Cool guy took time to wash the mini van (it was completely wet) but could not take an extra minute to put some gas in the tank. I could have been stranded on the side of the highway if I ran out of gas and that is unacceptable! The service, the attitude, the follow up and the policies are unacceptable and I do not recommend Enterprise. I'm contacting my lawyer today! Erin was even kind to drive me to the train station. However the car was not cleaned prior to my rental. My aunt rented a car from them a week ago we came back and that weekend we were headed home and caught a flat driver front we road it to the closet lot changed the tire continued on its 4am along this 15 minutes the right front tire went flat we moved from the far lane to the median called a tow truck Dennis to be exact they came we took the car to firestone because enterprise and firestone work together so it should be no problem . Next morning firestone says they will have it fixed later that day. They never called i called back the said they needed the whole wheel to be ordered and enterprise did not approve the whole wheel just the tire. Enterprise firestone then proceeds to give us the run around now it went from 2 flat tires to 2 wheels to 4 wheels were messed up to 1200 worth of damages . WHERE DID ALL THIS COME IN AND WHY DID THE BACK TIRES NEED TO BE CHECK . Now the car has been out of our possession for almost a week and enterprise claims to not know where it's at . This vehicle has our belongings in it and we need them especially the kids car seats the manager at this location stated to me that we can't get our belongings until the car is fixed I said so you are holding our belongings for what she said it's protocol now if I stand correct you have our card info, id info and all the info needed for this car to be fixed why are you holding our belongings if they are even still in the car . Now they have several policy changes that takes an hour to get everything processed, everyone there is new they do not know what they are doing which takes longer and the wait time to be picked up is ridiculous! I ended up waiting 45 minutes to be picked up 10 minutes away, I never waited that long before. I was never as surprised by a manager as I was the one at this location earlier this week. Please, if you are looking for a rental car in Richmond, save yourself a potential headache and go to the 4713 Broad Street location instead!! We had arranged to rent a car and return it at the Norfolk airport. More than two weeks ago, when I originally booked the car, I called the manager to ask if we could avoid a drop fee should we return the car to the airport, and they said it was fine, and they made a note of it in our reservation. Then, on the morning of my rental, this office called to say that they were slightly closer to my hotel than the original Enterprise office where I'd booked the car, so could they come and pick me up and provide the rental? I told them sure, that would be fine to switch over to them. I don't know which office initiated the change, but I really didn't care since they were pretty close to each other, location-wise. So they came and picked us up, then when we arrived at their location, they refused to honor the agreement regarding the waived drop-fee! The manager, Mr. Harvey, lectured us about how it was not part of the online reservation I'd made. I called the other office right then and there, and they said they had the note and would be happy to explain it to Mr. Harvey, which I relayed to him after he finished with another customer, but to no avail! He would not honor it. I insisted, since I obviously was not about to pay an additional $75 on a single-day rental which an Enterprise manager had already agreed to waive. He called them and said he was cancelling the reservation and would have me brought back to their location (the original Enterprise location), even though I pleaded with him since I was worried I'd be late for a morning appointment. It was unbelievable! As soon as they brought me to the other location (at 4713 Broad St.), I was treated professionally and with kindness, and they took excellent care of us, honoring the arrangement as made. I only hope that the manager at this location gets a grip on what proper customer service consists of so that no other customer will have to experience lectures or delays as a result of his misunderstanding like we did. read more

I would like to share my terrible experience that I had this past week. I had an insurance claim and scheduled an appointment with the body shop and rental co Enterprise about two to three weeks prior to my appointment. When I dropped my car off at body shop, the lady called Enterprise to pick me up. Enterprise said it would be about 15 minutes. Thirty-five minutes later, no one came. I called enterprise and the representative from the body shop did as well. They eventually came. When the young lady picked me up, she said she did not have a vehicle for me but I could wait for one. They said they were trying to get vehicles from other locations and drop off points. There were two young ladies who were waiting for smaller vehicles. I was waiting for an SUV or minivan. This went on for about two hours. At first, they felt like they could get a vehicle. So I continued to wait. A midsize vehicle and an SUV came into the store. So, I thought this is wonderful, I finally get a vehicw To my dismay, the SUV went to one of the ladies. They asked her would you mind taking that vehicle. One of the representatives at enterprise asked me how I was doing. I said I'm very aggravated. The lady who had said that they should have a vehicle very shortly, offered me a ride home. She said they would come get me when they had a car. As I was going out the door to ride home, a young tall man with light hair had picked up the phone to make a call and this what he said, Good day sir, I see you have a reservation for a vehicle this afternoon and I wanted to see if you needed us to pick you up. I see that you have Nationwide Insurance. I was thinking at that time, how can you honor a reservation if you have no vehicles and don't know when you get one. I believe Enterprise has a contract agreement with Nationwide Insurance. I never did get a call back from Enterprise. I was stranded at home until later that day I got a vehicle from another company. My time is limited today and I took 45 minutes out of my day to come up here to get a large suv, now to drive 45 minutes back?I only came to this location because of the guarantee online. The large SUV is what I reserved and you're laughing at me for believing I could get what was promised by a well-established company. He then said " Here's the thing, it's getting close to the weekend blah blah ( Although we understand things like that but Nothing a customer cares about hearing, if that's the case stock more cars. Too big of a company not to have better systems. So then he goes on to explain to me about his manager or whoever "runs" or so called "runs" the store. He says if you went online there's absolutely no way that he would ever keep the inventory loaded properly as it comes in and out. Okay, well if that's the case, Don't show anything available then!
