Personal and professional, I have used this location for both. I felt like they really cared about my experience and made sure I was comfortable with the vehicle. They even asked about my daughter I had gone to see on a previous rental. I watched the young lady at the counter handle an irate customer with grace and courtesy. Unfortunately, my parked car was hit in a parking lot, necessitating two separate visits to Enterprise within a month for rental services. During the first visit, I was provided with a 2026 BMX X3, which has a plethora of advanced features. However, as someone born in the 1960s, I found the technology a bit overwhelming. For the second visit, the 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross was a more suitable choice. The drivers sent to pick me up from the dealership or body shop were professional and friendly on both occasions. Despite the busy atmosphere at the office and the high volume of phone calls, the Enterprise staff remained courteous, professional, attentive, and friendly. Nicki was a joy to work with. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars!!! They called and requested we come in early for our 4:00 pick up because they close at 4. The agent at the desk actually laughed at us when we arrived at 2 to tell us they only meant 10 minutes early. However, she checked us in and assured us our vehicle only needed cleaned, could we come back in an hour. When we came back, we were informed they had no vehicles and we would have to drive 40 minutes to the airport to get one because every where else was closed!! I've never dealt with such useless people in my life!! Enterprise is a complete joke and I will be taking my business elsewhere!! read more

Steering wheel was sticky and the car smelled like chemicals. I think they are overdoing it with the covid disinfectant . The interior of the car was clean except the person who cleaned it left two big footprints on the floor, but it was raining so I told her never-mind. Car also had damage but they assured me I wouldn't be held responsible for existing damage. Scratches on one side. Also I hate the car they gave me. I was not given a choice of car, I assume because insurance (other driver ran into my car , her insurance). Also I had to rent several miles from my autobody shop because the location at 6019 west broad refused to rent to me. At least these guys want business. The staff here is very nice! They greet you when you walk in and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for service. The people they have picking you up and dropping you off are also really nice. There seems to be a theme of retired people driving the shuttle. I'm very impressed with them giving this age group a job in this uncertain economy. The cars are turned over so much that they aren't always cleaned to the T but I've never had a dirty car, it may have needed some vacuuming and another run thru the wash on the outside but it looks like they are hand cleaned so I can't be mad about that. Upselling, limited selection, inconvenient location, racist management and rude behavior. They even loss 3 car keys. How do you lise 3 car keys to 3 vehicles? Also, enterprise are being sued for racial discrimination and has a high turnover rate. I would rather rent from privately owned rental companies. I reserved a vehicle 2-7-22 for pick up 2-15-22. I was notified at 8:10AM on 2-15-22 that they had no vehicle available for me...here was the email.... "I was just reaching out to inform you that unfortunately we do not have any available vehicles on our lot to fulfil this reservation. We are expecting some to extra returns soon, however, at this time we are completely booked. Please reach out to us with any questions. Thank you and hope you have a great rest of your day." IMO, a ridiculous response and worse service for such a large established brand. Needless to say, I had to scramble to find other arrangements which I happily did at AUTO MAX Rent-A-Car at 804-755-7761 (about 3 miles from Enterprise). They provided quick rental service and had many available cars. read more

My insurance arranged for me to have a rental car while my car was in the shop. Friendly and helpful customer service, easy as pie to pick up/return and everything was billed to insurance. While we had the car (for nearly three weeks), DH and I found the power outlets did not work. But DH figured fuse must be blown. Having plenty in the garage, he replaced it and power outlets worked just fine. When we returned the car, DH informed the customer service rep about replacing the fuse. The rep apologized profusely for the inconvenience and asked if we wanted Enterprise to reimburse us for the expense. DH said it was no trouble and the expense could not have been any more than $.05 but thank you just the same. It was very nice they made the effort. read more

This is my favorite rental car company. Great location right at Gaskins & Broad. Large selection of vehicles that are always available (except one time I had to go to southside to get a big SUV--the closest thing they had to the minivan that I needed). Friendly employees. Well-staffed so you're never waiting for very long. And they're even open on Sundays. I'm a fairly frequent renter, so these are the things that are important to me. Rented a full sized pickup truck for two months from this Enterprise. They always answered the phone when I called, great customer service and very helpful. The trucks were also clean and in great condition. When I need to rent more vehicles I will be back for sure! read more

So much went wrong with attempting to book at this location. We made a reservation for a car online, and it went through. We later called the store to confirm the reservation and they said they had no availability whatsoever and there was no rental car for our reservation. We then called a different location, about 6 miles away, and created a reservation over the phone to try to avoid any computer errors. We successful made a reservation to pick up a car. An hour later, we drove to that second location just before our reservation time at 4 pm, and that office was closed and locked up. We tried to call that store but could only get an answering machine. There was a sign on the door that indicated all reservations for this location were being handled at the Innsbrook location, which is the first store we tried to book a reservation with. We then called the Innsbrook store to ask them what was going on and to see if they had a car for us since allegedly their store was supposed to handle all the reservations from the second store. But they couldn't fulfill that reservation either. The person we spoke to later indicated that the second store we went to had be closed for roughly a week- so I'm not even sure why they took a reservation in the first place. They're only solution they provided was for us to drive to the airport, like 45 minutes away to pick up a car there. We decided against that because, at that point, how could we possibly know for certain that they would honor our reservation? This was a complete cluster, nobody really had a grasp on what was going on, and clearly their system isn't effective. I would be extremely cautious trying to make reservations here and maybe any Enterprise in this area. read more

This location routinely allows you to book cars and then doesn't have them when you go to pick it up. The staff are rude and unhelpful. They aren't willing or able to help you find another car despite the fact that you have a reservation that they were unable to fulfill. read more

Management best practices do not exist. I am a GM for a large corporation who uses enterprise for all of our needs. We had an issue that required the use of a rental car for one of our clients. My business is in Chester which isn't very close to this location. I called the enterprise in Richmond airport and they said this location had a van available and that they would hold it for me. To be safe as I rushed there I called them multiple times to let them know we would be there soon to only be direct to a voicemail after the phone rang many times. I finally arrived and to my surprise the van was not available. I didn't get agitated I just asked if there was anything they could do to help me and my client. The gentleman who was very cordial called the manager over who just said nope there is nothing they could do. He spent more time telling me how I didn't call them because they didn't have a voicemail as opposed to trying to help me solve the problem. Needless to say I peaked my head back in to ask one more question regarding if they could check inventory at any other locations and no effort was given on the managers part he just said no one had anything. They way I was treated was appalling. I have was not asking for an apology or a free bee just some help but help and empathy obviously seem to be something you lack in training. We did manage to go down the street to A competitor who greeted us with a smile and was able to help us. The situation was reported to my companies claims department who sets up reservations. I had the worst and most unprofessional experience here they transferred my reservation to three different branches I get to the branch and they tell me I have to pay a security deposit and that information was never disclosed I was under the impression my insurance was covering everything I also scheduled a pick up and they obviously didn't pick me up I wouldn't suggest these services especially to anyone definitely rent your car from a different place! read more

My experience was great. They pick up -drop off service was super convenient. Everyone working here was polite and professional. They made sure that I was completely satisfied. When initially I thought I might prefer another model than the one I got, they were very willing to swap it for me (I ended up keeping the one I got, as it turned out to be a great car). At the end of the rental, Tyler made the return process seem like a breeze and dropped me back at my place when the other driver wasn't available. Great customer service. Vince came to my home to pick me up and was quite cordial. The woman I worked with upgraded my car just because. It was a 2015 Toyota Corolla. Very nice and clean on the inside. I ended up having to keep the car a few extra days and I was able to notify them with no problem. When I returned the car, the employee who helped me was courteous. My family and I always rent from this particular Enterprise when we need a rental car. I'd recommend it for anyone who is in the area. read more

First of all, the moment I walked in the door there were several staff members that said good morning and asked if they could help me. The gentleman that helped me was William. This guy's customer service was Top Notch. Smiled. Shook my hand. Explained everything. Was able to get a free upgrade as the car I chose was not available. He was great. I cannot express how terrible Enterprise experiences truly are. I've visited Enterprise on a total of 8 times. I've never had great service, I've never had above service, they are rude: sometimes entitled. They aren't worried about guest service or customer morel. They aren't proactive in doinG the best or going the extra mile. As a company whose model is 'We'll pick you up.' But then constantly sends you from one enterprise to the next enterprise. If you need more cars: get them!! If you need better employees: hire them, but the best way to ruin your company is to stop caring about your customers or doing what's right. read more

Needed to rent a car while my van was getting repaired after an accident. Enterprise sets the standard for customer service and this location didn't let me down. I was able to pick up my car and drive away within five minutes of arrival. And upon return I got a ride to the car repair shop in relatively short order. One word of warning, this enterprise location is the second busiest in Richmond after the airport, so be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes to be helped. Also, if they don't answer the phone, it isn't because they don't want your business-they're just so busy helping people in person that the phone comes second (a nice touch). read more

Failed to tell me that in addition to holding the $83 it would be to rent my car--they also charge an additional $100 on top of that. So they ended up charging $183 to my card, released it and THEN charged another $79. By luck I had the money in my account, otherwise they wouldve overdrawn my bank account. Do you think they wouldve covered those costs? No. This is just not ok. read more

BBB Complaint from 2/6/18: After my accident I chose to rent from Enterprise Rent a Car instead of Hertz. I reluctantly put down the $50 deposit, when asked, and was told that it would be returned to me once I dropped the car off. It has been a month (update: over 2 months) since I dropped the car off and I have not yet received my $50 back. JUSTIN at Enterprise admitted that one of his reps processed the deposit as a credit card transaction when it was a debit card that I used. Therefore, he continues to say that Enterprise has done all that it can after ATTEMPTING to send the deposit back on the 18th on Jan. He has never called me to update me on the status of my deposit return nor has my money been deposited back into my account. He claims that his accounting department has to sort something out. I have no idea what to do other than submit this formal BBB complaint because it just seems that no one at that particular branch cares that I am without MY $50. I never asked to get into an accident so I should not have basically lost $50 by going through a routine process of getting a rental. I am HIGHLY upset and feel cheated out of $50. read more

I had never rented a car before and was a bit nervous, but Dominique was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable that soon after she picked me up I felt at ease. I can't say enough about the wonderful folks at this location (I was less thrilled about some of the other locations I've dealt with.) My mother's car was part of a recall, and while waiting for the back ordered parts, the dealer covered the cost of a rental. In addition to being a tiny person, my mother has severe arthritis. She has very specific needs and limitations. I called ahead to explain what she needed in a rental and they actually cared! They asked for a little time to assess the inventory. The following morning they called and said they'd found a vehicle they felt would be right for her, and asked her to come have a look. It was perfect. Practically new, with exactly the features that allowed her to drive it comfortably. The paperwork was all ready and just needed a quick review. All three employees we dealt with were kind and courteous. I thanked them about a hundred times, because many places don't treat the elderly well. They deserve recognition for great service and I'm VERY grateful. read more

They started charging other insurance amounts apart from the DW which i have not opted for. Funniest part is they acknowledge the mistake and never credit back the amount!! read more

I'm a fairly frequent renter. Work has a contract with Enterprise so we get cars from them often. This location is very convenient for me and I recently found out you can leave your car with them, which is often not the case in most rental places. Big bonus! I've never had a problem with anyone at this location. They even gave me a free upgrade because I had to wait an extra 10 minutes once for a car to be ready.
