Great people. Everyone has cars. I had a big upgrade and discount coupon from my insurance company. They put me into a very nice Chrysler van (something I like to drive) at the price of a much smaller car. Went out of their way to get me going quickly. Picked m,e up at home, then dropped me back at my office when I came back. There IS another place to rent a new car in town, and I talked to them. They had a "Take it or leave it" attitude and I won't go back there. read more

Keys automatically lock in car and I had to call a locksmith to open it. They said I should have called them and they would have charged me $50 to get the car open rather than calling my insurance company. After placing the keys on the seat of the car, it automatically locked. I called the dealership and they said that should never happen. I was told it was a bad key battery or a faulty auto programming. My expectation was after having a locksmith open the car, they would stand behind and reimburse me for this issue. They may not have known, but the fact is it is their responsibility to ensure I have a vehicle that operates properly. This was my last rental from Enterprise of Roseburg. My car was in an accident and the insurance company said they'd cover a rental, so they said to reach out to Enterprise when I was ready to take my car into the shop, as they're "right around the corner". Enterprise called after they'd heard from the insurance company. When I called back (Monday), I spoke to Andrew. I let him know I'd be there in a couple days, just waiting on parts. When I asked if they could hold an SUV, he said they can't hold a car for a whole week. I told him the parts should be there in a couple of days. _________________________________________________________________________ Red flag #1, he wasn't listening. Note: Today is Wednesday and the parts are at the body shop, so it was 2 days. _________________________________________________________________________ Continuing with the phone call... Andrew said the way it works is I give them a couple hours notice. He said he also needed to know the make and model of my car. I asked what the point of that was and he proceeded to tell me why. His answer didn't sound like company policy, it sounded like power-tripping nonsense. I cut him off and said, if you won't hold a car for me, why give 2 hours notice? Atop that, I told him the insurance company has my information on file; there's no reason why they (the rental company) needed to know anything about my car. They would never see it, I wasn't dropping it off, it'd be at the shop, so that made no sense. I reiterated that they're lending me a car, nothing more. _________________________________________________________________________ At this point, he was talking at the same time as me, raising his voice, and not listening at all. That's red flag #2: He was stressing that they're petty control freaks, needing irrelevant information simply to waste my time... _________________________________________________________________________ I'd been on the phone too long and wasn't making any progress. I tried to tell him that I only called back as a courtesy, but he was like a 747 between my ears. So I hung up. He called back right away. I ignored the call. He left a long voice mail, but I didn't listen to it. I mean, seriously, I can only imagine how he cut me down behind my back, convincing everyone I'm the lunatic. Well Andrew, I will say this as a parting thought. You are supposed to reflect the professionalism of your company, you're their ambassador, and I was treated like someone who was getting a freebie through an insurance company, not a customer whose business you cared about. And while there is truth to that - me getting a freebie - I don't see why I have to be treated like pond scum, because maybe there would have been other instances when I might have needed Enterprise, but I won't. I'd rather pack my bicycle and ride home. I'm actually going to check with my insurance company or AAA to see if I can get a rental through them, or maybe there's a discount company online to work through. read more

Booked an SUV online weeks ago, spoke to a rep on the phone days ago, show up to pick up the SUV and all they have is a tiny crossover. It is not big enough for the people and luggage. The only other option was a jeep for double the cost. Absolutely reprehensible business practice. read more

I have rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car over 30 times in the past 15 years. I never had trouble until I wanted to utilize my debit card rather than a credit card. On the website, Enterprise first makes you find the "fine print" where it tells you what the requirements are in order to rent using a debit card. Once you find that, it gives only partial information on the specific items that you can submit. To prove "residency", you must submit A.) a pay stub (mine is printed with the address of the corporate office and therefore does not in any way prove where I live; B.) a copy of your home rental contract (I live with my daughter and she owns her home so has no rental contract); C.) a current power, water, gas, or phone bill with no outstanding balance (the utility bills are in my daughter's name.) So, because I don't use credit cards which give people purchasing power without actually having the money and because I live with my daughter temporarily while looking for my own housing, and because we never imagined needing to put any of my daughter's utilities in my name, I found out AT the counter near closing time that I am unable to rent the car I had reserved DAYS ago and now a trip that I spent $500 preparing for cannot happen and I am out my $500 for nothing. I called the corporate office to try to ask if there is any other option for someone in my position and the man at corporate was less than helpful. He had no apologies, no ideas, nothing. I am very disappointed in Enterprise. I never thought I would be let down by them after having such good history with them for so long. read more

I rented a car last weekend and had very good customer service. Andrew the manager and Tyler were very helpful and friendly. They explained how everything worked. I never felt rushed or unimportant. I live in Yreka and I was just passing through Roseburg on my way to Pendleton to take a car to my daughter and son in law. They were driving a replacement Enterprise rental car while their insurance company was replacing their car which was totaled by an insured driver from another insurance company. Enterprise allowed me to take their rental car back to Yreka after delivering the new car to Pendleton. I needed to stop in an Enterprise Rental office and get myself added as an additional driver. Roseburg was on the way so I stopped in. I was fortunate to get service from Andrew Oltman the branch manager. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and treated me like a local long time customer. I was in and out of the office in less than 10 minutes with my policy and paperwork in hand. My family came here after our car broke down on our way to Seattle. Jeff was friendly and gave us the information we needed to rent a suitable car to get us up to Washington. We eventually got the Hyundai Sonata which is roomy and has great gas mileage. We got it for a week without any problems. Enterprise is the place to go if you're looking to rent a car. read more

Not impressed. First and foremost I only here because my car is in the shop. Insurance sets up my rental. I go in and I get my car thinking something comparable to what I drive. Nope it's a p.o.s. Sv not a suv. Was told if you have a major c.c. We can put you into something nicer. REALLY . So my checking with plenty of money wasn't good enough. Hmmmmm I have been with my insurance company for 16 yrs and I have full coverage on my suv. You have my Personal bank information. And I still need a credit care to get a better car. This is about bullshit as far as the eye can see . Asked to speak to the uppers and they all claim this is how it works. Come on enterprise where's the customer service end of this. I guess it don't matter. I worked for this company 3 yrs ago and it was about customer service. Now it's about how much money they can get out of you. I always rent from here when I need to leave my van home for the family. They give me a great car at a great price. I feel a bit spoiled by the time I get home. They are polite, well managed and more than fair on the price. They always work with me to make sure I get what I need and can afford. I'll be back. read more

I've rented from this location several times. Each time I rented a vehicle from them I was able to get it at a sale price that beat anything else locally or nationally. Each time I've had a very positive experience. They will give you a ride to or from their location if you need it. Check in/out is a breeze. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Back in August my husband and I drove down to the enterprise office in Clackamas to reserve an SUV to take on a trip to Northern California in October. Yesterday he went to pick it up and was told, "We're sorry sir, we don't have your car." He showed them the confirmation that he had gotten from your office back in August. They apologized again and said they didn't have a car for him. He explained that we were leaving tomorrow morning with our daughter, two dogs and a ton of luggage. Overhearing their conversation, a woman came out from an office in the back and stated, "We don't even allow dogs in our cars." At that point my husband tore up the reservation and left. I Googled Enterprise, and it clearly states in several places that pets are welcome as long as they are in kennels. Long story short, here the 3 of us sit in my tiny Scion, with two dogs and so much luggage we can barely see out the windows, driving down the 5 to California. I realize with the labor shortage it's hard to find good help, and Enterprise just proved that to be true. Thanks for nothing Enterprise. read more

We returned a one way rental to this location at 11:00 on a Saturday night. A pair of sunglasses fell under the seat (our mistake). I called Monday morning and talked to Andrew who promised to ship the cheapest FedEx option available. I called the following Monday for a tracking number and he apologized that they were still there and said he would send them out right away. We got the FedEx Priority Overnight this morning which was almost double the cost of the Ground service. I emailed Andrew and asked for a refund of the difference, he offered the full shipping charges since he said he made the mistake of not shipping them. This is excellent customer service in action! Everyone makes mistakes, but it's how they are handled that gives the true picture of the company. I think Enterprise in Roseburg has shown themselves to be an exemplary business! read more

We have rented from Enterprise in Roseburg twice through Costco. I would not have used them a second time but it appears there are no other car rental companies in Roseburg. Although there may be a car dealership that rents cars. On both occasions we reserved online well in advance and selected a full size car. The first time we arrived at Enterprise at the scheduled time (several hours after they opened) only to find that our car was not ready. We were told that the previous renter had driven on a long dirt driveway with the windows down and there was an issue in getting it clean enough to rent to us. It was being washed at the time we arrived. We waited for over an hour for them to finish. However, it was a nice car and we accepted the wait as somewhat acceptable under the circumstances. Our experience last week was not acceptable however. We were scheduled to pick up our rental car at noon. We were running late and called from the road around 10am to let them know we would arrive no later than two pm (we live about 4 hours from Roseburg). We were assured there was no problem with our delay. We arrived at Enterprise at 2:00 pm only to be told by Brandi that the Toyota Avalon they had reserved for us had not yet been returned by the previous customer. She assured us multiple times that they could be there any minute. In the meantime we completed all our paperwork. Finally she suggested that we go have some lunch as she was certain the car would be there by the time we got back. When we returned from lunch she was at her desk with her purse on her shoulder and totally ignored us. She quickly left and Andrew took over, assuring us that we'd have a car asap. He advised us that they had no idea where the Toyota was but they had a Jeep "at the glass shop, that should be back shortly". We were now running so late, we agreed to accept that. About 30 minutes later Caleb arrived with the Jeep and by about 4:30 we were on our way. No concession was offered for our inconvenience and only when asked did they agree to a $15.00 reduction due to the gas mileage difference between the car we reserved and the Jeep we got instead. To top it off, when we arrived at our destination, the car was making a tapping sound. We lifted the hood only to find a dry orange powder all over everything. No idea what it was or how long ago it happened but it's obvious no service was performed on the car before we got the vehicle. Since they are closed on Sunday when we returned the car we didn't discuss this issue. We won't be back and won't recommend them to anyone. Roseburg needs another choice for car rentals. read more
