Hello, I have been a resident guest at South Fork RV Resort for many years. I was here before the…read morelast ownership change. I had No trouble with the previous owners. I did my best to comply with the rules, which were very reasonable. I have continued to do the same with the current owner and the evolving changes. Some of which include having a few tenants move out to address DANGER trees within the park. One has already fallen over in a recent wind storm. The recent flood also developed some issues to be addressed as well. Improvements and safety concerns come with unpleasant decisions that make for unhappy people. Unfortunate, but should be understandable. That said. I have visited many RV parks near and far. Yes, you can find fancier ones with more facilities. But we love the quite beautiful place we have here. I am a disabled veteran and can (by the grace of God) live anywhere suitable to our needs. But honestly, I will choose here over ANYWHERE we have looked at to date. I understand the changes going on and support the owner and the park rules as attempts are being made to improve our living environment. We will get past this "bump" and see a much love comfort returned. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy and keep an open mind to reasonable rules. It works for us and might for you as well. The garden is organized into themed sections with pathways to follow to take you through the different garden areas. There is the Japanese Garden, the Butterfly Garden, the Children's Garden, and the Rose Garden, to name a few. Each visit is a little different, depending on the time of year and what is in bloom. On this visit, I was amazed by all the different dahlias, the beautiful roses, and the whimsical rock garden populated by gnomes.

We had it booked for 5 nights and they wouldn't even give us a partial refund so we're out a good chunk of money. Extremely disappointed in the lack of photos and information because had we known we never would have booked this site, and now we can't even afford to stay anywhere else and have to cancel our trip entirely.

A large group of teenagers were playing basketball and making significant noise until 11:15 PM, making it difficult for us to get some much needed rest. We chose your KOA campground because we expect the park rules to be respected. We hope stricter enforcement of campground 'noise' rules will be a priority moving forward for your guests.

Thorough background checks ensure a safe and friendly community, and even the overnight guests seem to leave with smiles on their faces based on what I've observed. For visitors, I highly recommend requesting spaces 1, 2, or 3. These spacious pull-through spots are perfect for larger rigs and are conveniently located closer to the boat ramp and beaches. As I always suggest, ask Josh for tips on the best fishing spots on the river. He's a great resource for finding hot spots for steelhead, salmon, and bass.

I was surprised to learn the freeway isn't as loud as you would expecting being so close to it. I am disappointed in a couple of things that keep coming up: The showers and bathrooms are not very clean. They seem to get a light cleaning regularly, but not a deep scrub, and the smell of mold/mildew is persistent. ***Owners took off door stops to showers residents used to he8lp air them out, and now it's almost impossible to breath in the showers because the mold/mildew smell is so strong. There is a huge issue with garbage-there isn't enough dumpsters or they don't get picked up often enough, so there is always garbage outside of the dumpster until the host comes and jumps on it to make it compact down enough to fit (OSHA hazard!!) Water is a huge issue in this park, between the owners being upset with how much we use in our spaces to the sprinklers not watering grass but the road we drive in to the fact that drinking the tap water actually gives me heartburn! I am so excited to see this place continue to improve, from what I understand this place used to have a lot of problems but honestly those are the only issues I see! The host did try hard to be on top of all the details, and was always open to hearing what's going on in the park. ***There is no longer any host to the park because of "Covid-19 restrictions" being imposed on businesses. It's all faceless and online to book a stay, and there is an email posted and message phone for contacting the owners for any issues.

Everything you need it right there and golfing was so great. Went during the month of August. They were still working on the driving range so we are planning to go back so we can experience that before tee time. The lazy river was oh so lazy and relaxing as well. It was also super neat that on the golf cart screens, each hole had a tip and/or fun fact about the hole or the course itself.
