    I had an awful experience with this Enterprise location. I had set a reservation for a work trip…read moremore than a week in advance and contacted that location to pick me up at 8:30am. At 9:00am I called this location to ask if there was a driver out to pick me up, which the man replied, "Yes, he will be there soon." I asked him how long "soon" meant and he said he didn't know. At 10:00 am I called over again and asked when I would be picked up and the employee said they were overbooked and he didn't know when someone would be there to pick me up. He also said that they didn't have a car for me and he had requested a car for me from another location. I asked how long it would take and again, he didn't know how long it would be before it got to his location. I called another location in Creve Coeur and a lady told me there was nothing she could do to help me. Enterprise, you're doing a TERRIBLE job empowering your employees to serve their customers. At 10:30 I called to cancel the shuttle driver and drove over to their location to speed up the process of getting my rental car. I did not want to leave my car there as Enterprise does not guarantee the safety of your vehicle when left on their property - even when they fail to provide you with good service in a timely fashion. After I had signed the paperwork for the vehicle I got a call from the driver saying he was at my home to pick me up! Terrible internal communication skills. I told the driver I had cancelled his service and was already at the Enterprise location. He told me, "Yeah, he forgets to do these things a lot. My boss is a moron." WOW. Employees admitting their management is terrible?! Definitely makes me NOT want to work with them ever again.

Approximately 10 mins away should you decide to Uber it. He ran to the site using Google maps and picked us up outside of STL within 45 mins. My husband was happy because he got his miles of running and exercise for the day! Excellent customer service, we saved $1,000 in fees if renting a vehicle not in the airport, and prior customer didn't refuel vehicle to full tank so we're informed it's okay to return the vehicle with gas; however, full tank not necessary. Our Nissan Sentra was smooth riding! The trunk fit two large suitcases. This baby took us on road trips to MO, IL, IN, OH, MI, and Ontario, Canada. We returned the automobile to YYZ location. Male employee at YYZ checked the mileage, ensured we had everything before parting ways. Male employee at St Ann, MO location personally took the time, left a voicemail on my phone for my husband, inquired if there were any other concerns with the vehicle before closing out the bill. Wow! Talk about personable, Midwest hospitality, at your service! My husband gladly returned his phone call to inform him that all went well, he's ready to close out the bill and thanked the gentleman. We're happy to be repeat customers at this location! Also a big thank you to the gentleman that helped me during my return as well. They were gentleman and very respectful. This provided a very positive experience for me. My flight was delayed and I landed past my reservation and he helped me in a very efficient manner and was super nice. I appreciated his genuine nature and making sure I chose something that suited me well and made me feel comfortable during my work stay. I hope he continues to grow with his experience here at enterprise and continues to do well. This is my first time renting in Missouri with Enterprise and it was such a positive experience. My only suggestion/ complaint, it was Just a little confusing when returning, you have to turn at the light and enter a side gate. There was an arrow but I wasn't for sure if it meant the area I was in or through that lot. Depending on what gps you use, it will take you to the front with like visitor parking. Upon entering, the service counter and waiting area was clean, and organized. There was only one worker checking customers in and only 4 customers in line. I waited in line for about 25 minutes before getting serviced. Once i got checked in, i was told my rental car location and that it was at the far back end of the lot,and i had to walk to go get it. The gentleman working the counter was pleasant. The process should be a different. A worker should be bringing the car to the customer, instead of making them walk all over the parking lot looking for their car. And they should ensure that the windows and car is cleaned off for the customers before letting them leave. I had to run the car through the wash.

I came the day after an unexpected snowstorm that shut everything down the day before. The staff was attempting their best to prep cars as fast as possible but the line was long. Yet, I did not hear any of them complain as they just kept moving. When it came to my turn they put me in an AWD vehicle, helped me take my luggage to my rental, and ensure it was ready to go. They were very nice, polite, and extremely helpful.

After returning the car, I found the actual charge on my credit card was $1,183.63, that is, over THREE TIMES of the booked price!!! Why? Because these demons added a fee called "Excess Distance Charge" based on my entire mileage (1,726 mi) to be $655.88! This is freaking and insane. See the second image, issues are: 1) The demons charged me on 10 days (3 Day + 1 Week) as well as on mileage (1,726 mi). How can they overcharge twice on two items, both days and miles?! 2) "Excess" means something beyond limits. For instance, if I drive over 100 mi/day or outside MO/KS/IL, the extra miles may be defined as "Excess". However, the demons calculated "Excess" miles from 0 (pickup) to 1,726 (dropoff). This is to say when I picked up the car, the mileage was already "Excess". 3) When I picked up the car at St. Louis Airport, the staff did not mention anything about this damned "Excess Distance Charge" or the car does not have unlimited miles. I was not informed of such a ridiculous charge by anybody during the rental process. I have experience renting cars in the USA and in foreign countries. All rentals are based on days and most have unlimited miles. It is my first time to see such a hidden and unreasonable charge, which reflects the ugly greed to rip money from my pocket by any means. From now on, National Car Rental is blacklisted and banned from my life. Such a diabolic company without honoring contractual obligations should perish from the Earth ASAP.

I showed up one time and was 4th in line. 90min standing there wondering how much slower these counter people could possibly be was my only entertainment. These people moved at the speed of frozen tar. Pure chaos. Last night, Christmas 2022 I saw the entire building full of people. The dispatch was telling the driver to not pick up anymore people at the airport. People at airport were waiting 45 minutes outside waiting for a bus to take them to a little corner of hell on earth: the counter. Do whatever you can you avoid this hell. Use fastbreak. Buy a car. Do not stand in that line. Remember I love budget.

They only had electricity cars or large vans. I was fine with either. We waited for almost 2 hours. We finally got an electric car and it had 20 miles left on the charge. It was enough to get to the hotel. The next morning we charged the car. When I returned the car therefore a lot of cars waiting. I asked a person if I needed to do anything and I was told no. Two weeks later I received a message that the car had not been returned. Thankfully I had a picture of the car in their lot. On March 24, i booked a reservation through Car Rental 8 with a June 13 pickup. When we arrived at the pickup location we were told by the counter person that the return location had been permanently closed by Budget. They could not release the car. I called customer service. Customer service said they could not modify the drop off location. If i dropped off at a different location i would be charged extra. We could not reach anyone at Car Rental 8. The Budget solution was to cancel my reservation and book a new reservation. The original reservation was $911. The new reservation was $1600. We were stuck at the airport. It felt very much like fraud. We arrived at our drop off location. We spoke to a different family that rented from Budget. When they arrived at the airport they dropped the keys. They called Budget to tell them where the car was. Customer service refused to speak to the wife because the reservation was under her husband's name. They made their reservation in January. In the months between booking and completing there was no communication from Budget. I understand that situations change but to not allow for any modification and to extort travelers for more money is unacceptable business practices.
