I would like to point out the professional communication throughout my wait in store and communications via phone/email during my stay and prior to my arrival. Also a big thank you to the gentleman that helped me during my return as well. They were gentleman and very respectful. This provided a very positive experience for me. My flight was delayed and I landed past my reservation and he helped me in a very efficient manner and was super nice. I appreciated his genuine nature and making sure I chose something that suited me well and made me feel comfortable during my work stay. I hope he continues to grow with his experience here at enterprise and continues to do well. This is my first time renting in Missouri with Enterprise and it was such a positive experience. My only suggestion/ complaint, it was Just a little confusing when returning, you have to turn at the light and enter a side gate. There was an arrow but I wasn't for sure if it meant the area I was in or through that lot. Depending on what gps you use, it will take you to the front with like visitor parking. Perhaps more signage or better signage for those new to area. I arrived late at night days prior, so I only saw one side when using the shuttle at first arrival and this was a new side to me when returning during the afternoon. read more

I rented a car from Enterprise for 3 days while visiting St. Louis. I was impressed with every aspect of my rental from pick up to drop off. Enterprise offers better customer service than their peers. Check in was friendly and personable including being led to my choice of cars by the lady who checked me in asking if I was satisfied a couple of times. Upon return the person at that station greeted me and again asked if I was satisfied and if there was anything they could do for me. Sometimes it just the little things that make the difference. This offsite location from the airport is about a 5-6 minute shuttle ride between both points. Enterprise is superior with their customer service. read more

We arrived about an hour before scheduled pick up, having checked in online, skipped the counter & went around back, where we were ushered to a waiting vehicle. We'd hopped in while everyone else was still heading to the counter. (Love that online check-in!) On starting the vehicle and putting it in gear, the parking brake light was flashing. We let a staff person know & they advised us we could swap cars. We stated we were ok with keeping this one, as it was just an indicator light (typical with the car brand & doesn't impact performance, hubby is a mechanic). Off we went for our 5 day rental. There were no issues with the vehicle, aside from the same indicator light coming on sporadically. The price was fair for the rental time & pick up/ return was easy, with friendly/ helpfully staff. On return, we again advised staff about the indicator light sporadically coming on, so they wouldn't run into any issues with it from other renters. Email receipt was in my inbox before we were on the shuttle to the airport. Easy easy. The shuttle had us at the airport quickly. Absolutely amazing service from the location manager, Kylie. Five star service from her in terms of customer service and convenience as my location was closed. Phenomenal service also from the check-in manager, Bud. From the minute I drove in he was interested in helping me and he did such an amazing job. This location is phenomenal. I do wish that the Sam's Club app or Enterprise would coordinate as my pick up said that it was at the airport, but it turned out to be in Saint Anne 2 miles away. A few months ago, we made a reservation (RA# 3LNR8B) for a premium size SUV from Enterprise (Merriam, KS) for our vacation starting 5/27/26. When we arrived at Enterprise yesterday we were informed by Assistant Branch Managers Michael Lacy and Alex Boland that Enterprise didn't have a premium size SUV and they could only produce a Nissan Armada which lacked the necessary cargo space we needed for 6 passengers and luggage. We offered to drive several hours to pickup a premium size SUV, but Enterprise was unable to produce one. After wasting several hours trying to get Enterprise to fulfill the reservation, we were sent down the road with the Armada. According to Alex, he believes the reservation may have been unintentionally altered to a large SUV when we altered the reservation to include an additional day a few weeks ago. I know we made the correct reservation for a premium size SUV and it seems far more likely that Enterprise overbooked and was unable to fill the reservation as it is rare they have the correct vehicle if any vehicle at all when we show up to pickup a vehicle. We had to purchase a luggage rack for the vehicle due to the lack of cargo space and had to leave some items behind due to the lack of cargo space even with the luggage rack. While raising the 3rd row seat we realized the third row was missing both headrests which is a safety issue. I was surprised to find Enterprise unconcerned and made no attempt correct the safety issue. While proceeding on our trip, we contacted Enterprise and they confirmed they had a premium size SUV in Ozark, MO that we could swap for. We drove approximately an hour out of our way to pickup the vehicle at Enterprise, at which time we were notified they didn't have a premium size SUV available. It should be noted this happened just an hour after Enterprise confirmed they had a premium size SUV in Ozark over the telephone. After wasting another hour of our vacation, we have proceeded down the road in the wrong vehicle with less than adequate space. At this point it's obvious Enterprise is great at taking reservations they can't fill. The dishonesty and incompetence of this company is unbelievable. Worst rental experience ever. read more

After Avis, I thought I would roam the earth without a car rental company I could form a kinship with. That changed this week, in a big way. I am "all aboard" the Enterprise Rent-a-car train, from now moving forward through oceans of time. If they offered me a billion year contract and I had to swab the deck of the founders living mausoleum on a 400 foot yacht whilst wearing a green uniform, I might actually do it. You can pre-pay them a low price per gallon for the entire tank (regardless of how much fuel you use). 2. You can pay a high price per gallon for the fuel you used. 3. You can buy gas yourself and return the car as you found it. The problem? Option #1 is presented as though they will charge you ONLY for the gas you've used - not true, it's for the whole tank. I'll assume no intent to deceive, but this is definitely a profit center IF drivers are not fully informed - and they aren't. Except, now you know - choose wisely! I'd definitely return to this Enterprise, however - this issue was resolved, I filled the car myself and was taken to the airport quickly. read more

They would not allow the change of a one-way corporate rental even after I booked thru the app. Instead, they made me take a uber to another location and when I asked the manager if I could get a car at that location she basically didn't care. I am a govt traveler and must use budget, after 4 separate horrible experiences here, I will never use them again. They are 0 for 4 for having cars available, so you must wait for cars to be dropped off and processed. When you go to the counter you are putting them out as you are interrupting their conversations. Made reservations on line before arriving in St Louis. The ride via their shuttle from the airport to their business was only about a 7 minute ride. Once there, check in was quick, courteous, and professional. We had requested a small SUV and so we ended up with a Buick Enclave. The Enclave had AWD, leather, heated seats (a must for this time of year), and plenty of "zip". The coolest feature it had was when one approached the vehicle, and remotely unlocked it, a light of the Buick emblem was projected on the ground. One only had to put their foot on this projection and the rear hatch popped open. Anyhow the "geek" in me found this really fascinating, ha! Returning the vehicle was quick and easy. We were motioned by the employee where to park, I handed him the keys, he did a quick walk around, asked if an emailed receipt would suffice, and when finished he wished us a good day. A horrible experience turned into a great one! After picking up a Grand Wagoneer at the Natural Bridge location and driving an hour and a half west on I-70, the check engine light went on. So, we called the 800 number provided by Enterprise. After several calls, going to two other locations along the route, and no replacement vehicle available the car died in the driveway of our rental house. Enterprise Roadside Assistance had the auto taken away, but didn't provide a replacement vehicle. two days later, and lots of additional phone calls, a smaller sized vehicle was finally delivered to us (Thanks to Shawn at the Columbia Airport location). Upon returning the small vehicle several days later, the we explained our stressful experience to the Manager in St. Louis, Alex Smith. Alex immediately went into action making amends, apologizing and compensating us for all the difficulties and stress we underwent. It was fantastic to have Enterprise recognize the errors in their system and work hard to earn back our trust. I feel they appreciated our feedback, too. We will definitely rent again soon from Enterprise Rent a Car! read more

The absolute worse. They don't answer the phone and their hours are incorrect. I have a 7 am flight but they open at 6am???? For an airport rental service, they really dropped the ball. I had to up and drop off my rental from the Hilton down the street at 10 pm because they don't have a direct line to the location. Then they told that they cannot shuttle or drive me to my hotel that's .74 miles away. I walked at 10 pm. No sense of remorse or accountability. Just rent from anywhere else. Got here on a Tuesday night after a long day of flight delays and the ridiculous baggage claim situation at Lambert. The shuttle situation is a little weird. This is one of the few airports that does not have one shuttle that takes you to the rental car area. They have individual buses for each company. The companies are posted on the concrete pillars outside baggage claim. So make sure you walk to the correct rental car company. George was out shuttle driver on the way to Enterprise. He was super friendly. He helped get our bags on the bus, talked about how long the ride was, gave some food recommendations in the area. Super friendly after a long day. Got to the building and there were 3 people there being helped but someone came and helped me. Check in was easy: driver's license and credit card and then we went to the back to get our car. Apparently they had a lot of turn ins and hadn't prepped the cars so there was a bit of a wait but luckily that wasn't us. We got to the rental car and I got kidlet and the bags in, did the walk around. Signed my life away and hopped in. The car reeked of cigarette smoke. Gavin offered to exchange the car but I was tired and wanted to get to the hotel so I declined. Big mistake. The smell only got worse. It smelled like someone took stale cigarette butts and stuffed them in the vents. The smell did disappate after the 4 days we had it but we reeked the first few days (hair and clothes). The car we had was 3 years old, had out of state plates, smelled smokey and had a lot of damage to it. The inside floor mats were pulling away and were worn through in places. The seats could also use a good shampoo or wipe down as it looked like things had been spilled on them and not cleaned up, Oh the way out of here was the weirdest experience I have ever had. You drive up to this gate. The stop light turns green, the arm goes up and this metal barrier recedes into the ground. You then pull in and the metal barrier comes up. There is another metal barrier in front of you with the stop light and the arm. The person in the check out kiosk was nice and worked quickly. The return was annoying as I saw the big huge parking lot (it said guest parking) and pulled in there but I was supposed to go up the street to the car return area. I had already hauled all our stuff and the kidlet into the building so left them and went to drop off the car. Kidlet told the staff the car was smokey and staff told the person returning the car so they gave us money off the rental and apologized which I appreciated. Staff was super nice and made the check in process easy. Getting a shuttle to the airport wasn't easy. A large family had returned their car and took up the whole bus in seats and luggage. There was another shuttle coming so the driver told us to wait. But that shuttle driver was going off shift so the other driver stopped, told us to get on and they made room for us. The other people on the shuttle were on a time crunch so they asked to if they could be dropped off first. The driver wasn't super talkative but did help with luggage. We got to the airport with plenty of time to check our bag and get through security. Overall a good experience and I would rent again. I learned my lesson to take the time to get a new car if offered. read more

I usually don't rent with Enterprise, so I had to sort through some of the differences. The rental car facility is offsite, and a little bit of a distance from the airport. When I arrived, there were three lines, each with 2 to 3 people in them waiting to get their rental. I waited about 20 minutes. Enterprise is very hands-on with their rentals. It wasn't a problem, just different. The car was in great shape. It was clean. No problems at all. An average experience overall. read more

The bad experience began with the desk. The attendant didn't want to recognize the third-party reservation I had made and paid for and told me I had to pay full price in addition to what I had already shelled out. It wasn't until I produced printed confirmation of the third-party rental and the additional damage waiver I had purchased that he relented, and only after being told by the manager that he had no choice. After choosing the vehicle, there was no explanation into its essential safety systems that vary significantly by make and model, and that created very frightening circumstances during my drive along I-70. I was tiven the choice between a Nissan and a Hyundai Venue, both compact SUVs. I chose the Hyundai, was told the key is in the car and that was it. I was not informed that the vehicle has automatic lane-sensing technology that attempts to control steering when it senses it's too close to the berm or another lane. When an 18-wheeler to my right began drifting into my lane, the car actually fought my efforts to swerve left onto the berm and out of harm's way. Later, when wind gusts began buffeting the boxy, underweight vehicle around, there were frightening moments when i found myself in a contest with the wind and the automatic lane-change feature for control of the car. I was eventually able to anticipate and adjust, but not being told of this feature created a hazardous situation. Not was I shown how to activate the windshield wipers and that created another dangerous situation when I ran into rain. I had to toggle the switch on the column each time I wanted the wipers to make a single pass over the windshield. Most vexing was the inability to reach anyone at the local outlet by phone. I had a very early flight the next day and needed to know how early I could drop the car off and catch the Enterprise airport shuttle. I dialed the local number on the rental contract but got someone one on the other side of the planet with no clue to this outlet's local operational details and no way to transfer me to the local office. So I had to leave my hotel the night before and drive to the office to get an answer (It's 4 a.m.) All of these, taken together, created a very unsatisfying experience. At a minimum, Enterprise needs to reevaluate training for its desk staff, at least at the off-site airport location on Natural Bridge Road in St. Louis. And it needs to consider from a strict liability standpoint how to better inform renters about individual essential features such as windshield wipers and headlights to make sure they understand how to activate them This experience will substantially inform my future car-rental decisions. read more

i had the best experience renting from this enterprise. I travel a lot for work & every time i pick up a vehicle, the team is so caring, happy, & are quick to get me in then out. This trip, i had Zach #1 help me into a car. They didn't have any mid size SUVs so i got my choice of larger vehicles. Zach was easy to chat with because his customer service skills are impeccable! Lucky for me, when i returned the car, i was greeted with the same level of stoke and excitement. And surprise, Zach Hemann was there to take care of me. I rented from this Enterprise for a few days with a friend. The staff working there is excellent. The shuttle is quick both ways and the drivers each way were friendly. Check-in and check-out were good. Car selection was limited on a Wednesday afternoon. I felt tempted to take the Camaro, but an Altima showed up. The car ran well. When I returned on Saturday, there were more cars. I learned the cars come back at the end of the week so if you want to have a stronger car selection, rent starting on a Saturday morning. I get there to find out that St. Louis location are actually being discriminatory and targeting towards the citizens of MO. So as I spoke with the reservation persons lastnight I explained that I would be paying with a debit card they said it was fine and I asked again to confirm and was told it's fine. I get to the counter and to my surprise because I still have a Mo DL I have to pay an extra $400 and have a credit card at this point. But was told if I had a Texas license I would have been able to use my debit card. You all tell me if that's ok...to discriminate to the people in the place you do business is very disturbing if you don't trust the people in STL then don't do business in STL. This was a larger than what i am used to rental location. Being that they service most customers probably from the airport, I see why so large. I really liked the shuttle access from and to the airport. So convenient and takes the stress out of trying to catch a Lyft or Uber.,both drivers I encouraged during the shuttles were so polite and helpful. I booked my rental a week in advance, when I arrived my first vehicle assigned to me was still dirty and the second choice was Smokey. So the young man gave me an "upgrade" for my rental, which I enjoy. Was a Toyota Camry. With what features I used all worked. The staff are great! The bad is the condition of the car. I have recently rented two cars within a month and they both reeked of smoke. So much so that it was nauseating. I purchased some product to spray so that I could tolerate the situation while I was renting. If I had a choice in my car rental, I would not pick this place. Had a corporate rental booked and paid for. These incompetent people couldn't figure things out and my personal CC got charged and now I have to sort this out. This is after someone from the company already called 3x to verify I wouldn't be charged. On top of this, the car I had sucked. Honestly, it's been years since I've rented a car this bad. Scratched up on nearly all panels. Inside significant wear and heavy air freshener smell to get rid of the underlying weed scent. Also cyclical noise/vibration leads me to question the maintenance on this car. People are nice but this might be the worst Enterprise I've been to based on everything above. read more

My company had a corporate account with one of your competitors and we recently switched to National because of the poor customer service the other guy was giving us. Boy, am I glad we did! I returned my first National car this morning. I was greeted by a human being. He helped me unload my bags. He got me a paper receipt! The lady on the shuttle helped with my bags too and she was so nice to chat with! I'm just not used to being treated this well. I wish we had switched accounts years ago. Hello on June 3rd i booked a reservation for a 7 passenger van for the dates July 28- August. A week before my reservation was scheduled to be picked up i received info from my sister who rented from you all that there was a recall on the vans so she had to end up getting accommodated for a expedition. Even though enterprise never called and relayed anything about the recall. I called Wednesday the 23rd of July to ensure that i would be accommodated and would be able to get a vehicle. I was reassured i would be. I arrived at the enterprise location Dellwood 2 hours before my reservation and sat for 3 hours being told that a vehicle would be arriving from the Edwardsville location. to be disappointment that they only had three row vehicles left and i could not be accommodated because i was using a debit card and not a major credit card even though you all messed up. So not only did my son who was going to Texas to compete in junior Olympics not get to go and was crushed and crying because i could not get the van to get him down there i lost $1400 on last min hotel cancelation. So thank you enterprise for ruining my son dreams but not accommodating a frequent customer, The manager Amanda Mendez was not training to accommodate or fine a solution at all. then Andrew Benoski stayed in the back the entire time and allowed one worker to try to help 7 people. We landed at St. Louis airport proceeded to baggage claim, and just outside the door we could see our enterprise shuttle waiting. we were shuttled to the Berkeley location. 10 Stars to our shuttle driver Eric! We were not greeted at all, stood in a filthy lobby with one chair for over 20 minutes until someone finally acknowledged us. There was one man ahead of us. We were asked to walk in the extreme heat to " take a look at cars". I told the rep I reserved a suv, there's one, you bring it to me. He brought us a car with a strong pot smell. We opened the hatch, smelled it and refused. He brought another that was fine. Instead of walking 2 feet so I could stand in shade, he stood in sun, going over everything. I signed it all, and we left. I guess I'm spoiled by our local Enterprise. This place needs an overhaul and deep cleaning. it's a pit. The best part of all this was bringing our car back to an Alamo lot, because enterprise opens late. We left there at 0430. A clean showroom, very friendly staff and a great shuttle zippy quick to airport. In and out in less than 10 minutes. read more

This is my second time using this location but this experience was much better than my previous experience. I arrived Tuesday morning to get a rental car. There was no line so I was able to talk to someone at the counter and get my car immediately. An assistant walked around the car with me and we noted a couple of dents. I brought back the car that afternoon and the associate found a new dent. Management called me while I was at the airport to inform me that the dent was noted by a previous user so I would not be charged for it. Good, fast service. read more
