One of the best experiences I've had renting a car. I took a look through all the negative reviews, and please note, those reviews are several years old. I can tell you that as of March 2020, their current staff is courteous and very accommodating, even when your trip consists of 45 people and should have been a massive logistic mess. This branch really pulled through for us... Our organization needed three, 15-passenger vans to accommodate 45 people from Utah to So-Cal. From the very beginning of booking, two reps at this branch went above and beyond to ensure that our organization was thoroughly satisfied and taken care of. COLTON & NATHANIEL. These guys rock. We needed to leave early on a Friday morning, around 6am. The Branch opens at 7:30am. So in order to leave early on Friday morning, we needed to pick up the rentals on Thursday. We were in a pickle becuase we couldn't afford to pay for an additional day. Colton and Nathaniel ensured all the vehicles would be available on Thursday afternoon, WITHOUT an additional charge! I called several other companies who said they would have to charge the extra day, but not this branch! Not only that, but my wife and I had to order an extra SUV for ourselves pretty late in the game, and they tacked it on with the van's and made it available the day before WITHOUT charge. Super amazing customer service and accommodations. Thanks Colton and Nathaniel. In the end, because of COVID-19, our organization cancelled the trip. I felt really bad cancelling all the rentals, but I spoke to Cotlon on the phone and he didn't make me feel bad at all. He was understanding and patient with me. Horrible place do not go there, they will rip You off and take advantage of lack of knowledge for renters by selling you multiple additions that are not required, especially when the car is being covered by another insurance company for their client that hit your vehicle. The staff at this location, in particular Becky was professional and showed quality customer service. We rented a Jeep to drive to Vegas and back. Had an engine light come on while on the trip and a hiccup with switching out the car but in the end it all worked out. Becky was a total pro and would rent from Enterprise again if needed at some point down the road. read more

I needed a rental car on Saturday when the location closes at noon. After being on hold for half an hour with another location I called this one and they had the car I was looking for. Even though I wasn't able to get there until after they closed, Kyra waited for me to get me into the rental car. Explained my situation to Barbara and she was able to work w/ me in getting a mini suv at a reasonable rate for the weekend. Arrived onsite and drove off in less than 15 mins. Fast and professional. I wish I could give these guys a -5 stars rating. This is the second time I have left something on a car. The first time I called the very same day (for a garage control) and they said it was not there. . . What a joke! (Airport location). Now South Jordan location... Now I left a pair of sunglasses and called a few days after (I think the company's policy is that you have 30 days to call before its gone from the Lost and found). When I called not only they are rude and deny service (it was a Saturday afternoon) but they promised to call me on Monday (which they didn't) then I had to call the next day and this guy tells me: You can stop by and check if it is here... I don't think I have your glasses... Today I stopped by their office trying to find my glasses and the guy showed me a bunch of sunglasses and car garage door controls, I mean, a bunch of them (I wonder how it is possible they don't know what items belong to what customers, they obviously NEVER call a customer if they have left something on their rental cars)... when I asked that question I only got a "Gotcha... Gotcha... reply. Never wanted to make eye contact while discussing this...Very unprofessional and very poor management . I lost $200+ Sunglasses and they only keep saying... Gotcha gotcha... disrespectful. I would never recommend this location and hope this company enforce policies about calling customers right away when they check returned cars and find customer belongings. I called serval times this morning but hold times were long, figured they were busy. So I came in this afternoon and the gentleman that assisted me said they had no cars until Thursday. He did offer to check another location for availability. He recommended the West Jordan location and was going to do a swap out for me. I've always and only rent from Enterprise because of the customer service and exceptions made case by case with cars they have in stock. But when the Manager Carla Baker took over, she wanted to charge me the difference for each car class. I then asked if she can check other locations in the valley if they had cars available and immediately responded without checking, that everyone is out of cars including the airport! At this point I'll just take a car that will be covered by my insurance while my car is in the shop. I was referred to the West Jordan location and there I felt like the staff really took care of me. I'm not sure why this location couldn't do the same or at least have uniformity with other locations on taking each customers situation case by case. I just hope other customers do not get treated like numbers and are valued. End of rant! read more

I had a rental on my insurance when I picked up the car it smelled like an ashtray and when the insurance expired, I went in and signed a new contract as a self pay. The contract was never entered and the existing contract expired. 6 days went by that i wasnt authorized to have the car. When i called to rent for one more week. I was told to go into a location immediatly. They told me I had to switch cars because the one I had wasnt registered and needed an oil change and I was late for work. read more

I had an accident and the insurance company told me that Enterprise will be providing the rental. I made a reservation for the rental and pick-up. When the day came they said they don't have any cars and I have to reschedule my auto appt because they can't help me. What's the point of a reservation if they don't honor it? The Enterprise guy was rude and said I was out of luck. That I needed to keep calling them every hour to see if they have any cars available. Save your time and money and rent from Hertz or Avis! read more

These guys were very professional and easy to work with. I got a great deal on the van I rented and they were there to help along the way. They showed us all about the cool amenities the van came with and helped is when we forgot, and called to ask. They even had a good sense of clever humor, which I find very appealing as it shows their intelligence/ capability. Stay as far away from this Enterprise as you can!!!! I would give this Enterprise location a zero rating if I could. The driver's side mirror fell off when I tried to clean in at the gas station. Instead of Enterprise being apologetic and accepting responsibility for giving me a poorly repaired car, they blamed me and informed me my insurance would be held responsible. Then they also found a scratch down on the front bumper that I'm sure was there long before I rented the car. Apparently, you need to get down on your hands and knees to inspect their cars when you pick them up and bang on the mirrors to make sure they're not setting you up for a scam. read more

Very professional and friendly employees. The vehicle we rented was delightful although there were a couple of less than efficient cleaning issues. Not too big a deal but needs to be addressed with the people who clean the vehicles which we were assured would happen after we mentioned it upon return. Overall good experience. I had to get my car repaired due to an accident. Enterprise picked me up from the repair shop and took me to their south Jordan Location. I had three of my children and my husband with me. I requested a SUV preferably one with 4 wheel drive. They informed us we needed to drive to their sandy location to pick it up, and that it would be available in an hour. So my family took my husbands car and drove around, wasting time for about an hour. Then, headed out into the middle of rich hour traffic to retrieve the SUV. When we finally arrived to pick it up they had no knowledge of who we were or knew of the SUV. They said we could get a minivan, but it was at another location! We declined because we had to be home for an appointment. I requested that an SUV be delivered to the South Jordan Store for us to pick up in the morning. I was informed that I had to call that location and tell them to pick it up. I did so and was promised they would have it by 9am the next morning. Later that evening the "manager" (Edmond) from the SJ location called me and informed me that they would have no vehicle available the next morning. I told him about our experience and told him that I was only able to pick it up a vehicle at that time because, we work from home and would have appointments all day. The conversation then turned into a huge argument. Edmond began talking to me in a sarcastic, condescending tone. He was rude and insulting. In the end we did not have a replacement car for three days. When we finally received a car from the SJ store, it was neither a four wheel drive nor an SUV and Edmond never apologized for his insulting behavior. I only had the car for about 26 hours and I was very glad to get rid of it and have the terrible experience over with. I will not return to Enterprise. read more

I had an accident, and was without a car. The insurance company set up a car with this office while my claim went through. I was picked up promptly at the shop and taken to this office, where I picked a nice Mazda 3. I had the car for a week. When it was time to give it back, I was taken to the car lot where I had purchased a new car. The service here was prompt, courteous and efficient. If I could give the South Jordan Enterprise and it's "manager" Edmund 0 stars, I would. My entire experience with the South Jordan Enterprise was a nightmare. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS ENTERPRISE LOCATION!!!! I have never been treated so poorly by a business in my life. We had an accident and while my minivan was being fixed, the repair shop arranged for a rental from the South Jordan Enterprise. They came and picked me up. I requested a car large enough to hold all 3 of my kids and their car seats. Edmund gave me a minivan, and I drove home. He did NOT have me inspect the car before I took it, he just informed me that HE had inspected the car. The next day, I received a call from the insurance company that they had not approved me for a minivan and that I would have to pay the difference between what they approved and the cost of the mini-van. The insurance rep was very helpful and called Edmund for me and got everything worked out. But I thought it odd that Edmund had not communicated with the insurance company prior to giving me the mini-van when he knew they were paying for the rental. The car spent most of the 3 days in my garage. I used it to pick up my kids from school and to go to a Doctor appointment and grocery shopping. When I returned it, Edmund accused me of causing damage to the car. The driver's door was not closing properly. He told me he noticed the damage right away because it was so conspicuous. He was very rude, extremely condescending, and acted like I was an idiot for asking questions. He told me that it was impossible that he didn't see the damage before I took the car because he is trained to notice problems like that. But when I told him there were rock chips in the windshield, he didn't see them until I specifically showed him where they were. He told me that normal wear and tear does not happen on cars and he knows this because he has rented a lot of cars. He became very rude when I refused to give him my insurance information. I ended up paying a $250 "deductible" and getting the heck out of there just so I wouldn't have to deal with him anymore. A few days later, my husband called to ask a question about the damage. He spoke to Edmund. As soon as he identified himself, Edmund became very agitated and defensive and completely took over the conversation. My husband was not even able to ask his question. It was several minutes into the conversation before Edmund allowed him to speak. During the conversation, Edmund was very argumentative and rude to my husband. He told my husband that he was not allowed to write a letter on my behalf regarding the situation. I took pictures of the "damage" and showed them to several auto body shops. One of them told me they no longer use the South Jordan Enterprise because they have had so many problems with the manager there. Regardless of whether the damage was caused by me or not, there is absolutely NO excuse for the way Edmund treated me. I don't think I've ever encountered worse customer service in my life. My husband has traveled extensively and has rented literally hundreds of cars all across the country. Never has he been treated by a car rental agent as poorly as I was treated. I have written complain letters to Enterprise corporate at ClaimFeedback@ehi.com, dru2@ehi.com, and customerservice@erac.com. Hopefully I will receive a response from one of them. read more

This location is a complete joke! I had a reservation for 12:30 and had even called an hour prior to confirm the reservation and it wasn't ready when I arrived. They had to call another store to see if they even had a car available. I couldn't be more upset with the level of service I received today from Enterprise. I've been using Enterprise for years now and honestly when I visit Salt Lake City again I will consider other branches or rental agencies. read more

Update: After 30 hours of phone calls and being treated poorly by the local and state enterprise folks, a call came in and the credit card charge was reversed. Why couldn't the local enterprise employees fix it at their end? When Brian called to give us the "good news" he still wanted to tell us how much the van would cost to fix. I don't care how much it cost to fix, we didn't do it, they knew it and just wanted to place the blame on the next customer who rented the van because their employee didn't catch the dent on the roof when the van was previously returned. Terrible local customer no-service but kudos to enterprise corporate employees who made things right! They have lost my business and my trust. Never, and I can't emphasize it enough, NEVER rent from these guys. When we returned the car, the guy went straight to the roof, then said he had to get his manager, who came out and said there was a dent in the roof. My wife and I aren't tall enough to even see the roof of a van and the person who pressured us into upgrading to a van didn't mark on his tablet any problem with the roof. The so-called "dent" was obviously there before we rented the van. They proceeded to file a claim and charge my credit card. These guy's need to be avoided at all cost....or it WILL cost you. They are so un-knowledgeable in the art of customer service that instead of making a customer happy and having them as a life-time customer, they have chosen to charge a few bucks and loose a customer for life. I feel they are running a scam and my gut feeling is they must get a commission for finding things wrong with a car. I also believe they lied when 5 min. after we left we returned to find the car gone. We were told it was "at the shop" being repaired when in fact, I'll bet it went back to the airport to be washed and re-rented. They won't give us the name of "the shop" or the rental history. From the moment I walked into the location, I felt like I was being treated disrespectfully! Edmund was extremely difficult to deal with. His tone was, as Jenny L. said...very sarcastic and condescending. I had 2 encounters with him IN the store on 2 different days and 2 encounters by phone.I had decided that after the way I had been treated by him, I wanted to cancel my reservation and transfer it to a different location. The first time I called, Edmund answered the phone and when I said I wanted to cancel a reservation, he said, "Okay, can I put you on hold for a moment?" I consented. I was on hold for a FULL 10 MINUTES, during which time I was forced to listen to the Enterprise "jingle" with pleasant, happy people saying things like, "At Enterprise, we care about our customers..." My thought was, "NOT AT THE SOUTH JORDAN, UT LOCATION, YOU DON'T!!" That's when I hung up!!! I called back a few minutes later and had Edmund cancel the reservation. As a general rule, I have had very enjoyable experiences with Enterprise Rent-A-Car...at OTHER locations. I had my maiden drivers license and my married drivers license. My cards had not been switched over yet and I was denied a rental after being sent on a goose chase for a car that was offered to me as part of my service contract. I was denied the area managers number to make a complaint and will never ever go here again. I have never been treated as poorly as I was today in my entire life. The manager Carla or Caria was told by two people that it was completely fine and she still made a big deal out of it and completely embarrassed me. I have rented from this location several times and have always been happy with the service until now. Our car broke down and we rented a minivan. We had originally rented it for 4 days. But when we found out our car wasn't an easy fix extended for a week. On the 5th I was rear ended on the freeway. With my work hours the office was classes before I could call. There was no emergency number to call, and customers service food not deal with accident. So when I found out that our car was going to take several weeks to fix, I decided to return the minivan and get a smaller cheaper car. The only day I could return it was Saturday. So I called the other driver's insurance company, and they told me that they would take care of everything and just give the claim information and I should be fine. So I went to return the car and get the smaller car. It took an hour just to be helped, and then the representative didn't know what to do, so he had to call his branch manager 3 time. I was told I had to pay t the $1000 deductible from my insurance. I told then that I had talked to the other driver's insurance and they had assured me that they would take care of it I told them I didn't have $1000. So they told me I could rent another car, but that my ticket was still open. So it is now 4:00. My husband my 2 daughters and I were stuck with no car, they agreed to take us home, but when I asked if they would drop us off a budget, do we could get a car, the driver says that he wouldn't do that because the store had already been closed for an hour and at least they were talking us home. So then on Monday I called the adjustor again, and told her what happened. She said she had talk to enterprise and everything had been taken care of. So I called back the branch manager and, not only did she say she didn't know what I was talking about, was extremely rude as well. She gave me the number for the department that handles claims, I talked to them, they were extremely helpful and courteous. They said not not to worry. I called the adjustor back and she called the branch manager to assure her that the claim had been taken care of, and she was rude to her as well. And still insisted that they didn't deal with third party insurances. At this point I just gave up trying to deal with it. read more

Beware!! South Jordan Enterprise Rent A Car. Horrible service. We rented a car for less than 24 hours it was sitting in our driveway for most of the time. When we went to turn it in the said there was a dent under the bumper. I think I would know if I hit something. I feel totally scammed. I know for a fact I didn't hit anything. FYI when I asked how often they wrote someone up for damage they said every other day. Don't rent from there! I was involved in an accident and took my truck to the repair shop for repairs. I needed a rent-a-car. I travel regularly and usually use Enterprise. I found out that there was an Enterprise near the repair shop in South Jordan Utah. I was picked up at the repair shop and taken back to Enterprise to get the rent-a-car. I encountered and observed a gentleman (I use the term very loosely) giving another customer in front of me a hard time and being very condescending in how he was talking to the customer. I was a little turned off by it but went on my way. When I returned the car, the same gentleman was there. There was another lady from out of state next to me being helped by another employee and there arose some confusion over a payment issue. The gentleman left me and interrupted the conversation with the other customer. I sat there and listened to this employee, who I now know as the Manager (Edmund) be extremely rude, condescending and down right over the top inappropriate in how he was talking to the lady. I was chuckling to myself thinking this guy is amazing treating a customer like that. I finally couldn't take it anymore and told the manager that he needed to knock off treating this lady the way he was. He was calling her a liar, and treating her like garbage. I told him that I was amazed that he was actually treating a customer like that. He told me to "butt out". It got so bad that the lady told him she felt very uncomfortable and was thinking of calling the police to try and get some help solving the problem. The lady eventually left and then the Manager started personally attacking me. I told him he was being a punk and in all my years have never seen any customer treated the way he treated the lady and now myself. I asked him for his name planning on filing a customer complaint and he refused to give it to me. He then proceeded to follow me out of the store and started saying that a recently deceased relative of mine would not be proud of how I talked to him ( he must have overheard a conversation I was having with another customer while waiting) Way over the line!! I began to lose my temper and told him he had better go back in the store before things got out of hand. He would not and accused me of threatening him. Luckily the other employee came back from giving the out of state lady a ride and gave me a ride back to the shop to get my truck. This was totally surreal. I have never experienced anything like it. While there I was told by another gentleman who came in that this manager had given him grief on the phone earlier and ironically when I got back to the shop they told me that they have heard a lot of complaints as well. DO NOT USE THIS ENTERPRISE!! Nothing but grief and completely unprofessional. Enterprise has lost a long time customer and will get plenty of "Free Advertising" from me. read more

Never using enterprise ever again!!!!! I had everything set up to be picked up, I even CONFIRMED the appointment. When I dropped my car off to be repaired at the shop I waited ten minutes after my appointment time to give them another call. They said they were sending someone. Ten minutes after that they called back saying that can'y pick me up because it was out of their range. They called a closer enterprise but they couldn't pick me up until an hour later. I decided to WALK to the enterprise closest because they said they could help. When I got there they only had one car available and I wasn't allowed to drive it because I am 21. They said I had to go to the South Jordan location to get the car reserved for me. I walked back to the auto body shop. Thankfully they hadn't started working on my car so I drove my car to the south Jordan store. They almost gave the car away that was reserved for me. (The customer was literally getting into it before someone had to stop him to offer another car). After all of that I eventually got a car but now I have to make another appointment to get my car fixed. Thanks for nothing enterprise.... I would rather go to a run down, sketchy looking place with great customer service than return there. read more
