As this Enterprise location is the closest to me, off I went to get my car for a business trip that starts tomorrow. The first thing we noticed is that the rental facility is far nicer inside than I would have expected. Clean, lots of windows, well lit. Sets a nice tone. And the counter staff were friendly and helpful. They quickly processed my rental paperwork for me and we were walking to take a look at the car in under 10 minutes. When I saw that the car only had manual seat controls, I asked if there was something with electric controls (no, I am not a car-seat-control snob. I have a bad lower back and being able to adjust the seat while driving, especially in a rental, helps make sure I can minimize any lower back pain). The agent quickly looked at the other cars in the lot, saw one with electric controls, and switched my original car for that one. Great customer service! The car was a 2015 and clean (and when the cars were not clean, I saw that the desk agents would run out and take them to the car wash station themselves so that the new renter could quickly be on their way and not have to wait). The only reason I am not making this a 5 star review is because I want to see how the actual rental car is during my trip. I'll post an update when I get back.

The guy at the desk in the tallahassee airport informs me they don't have my premium suv there and they can offer me something smaller. I purchased the biggest suv because that's what I needed. So 30 minutes into our trip the tire pressure light comes on, I stopped to put air in the tire, it stay inflated until we reached our destination, then goes completely flat. I waited 2.5 hours for a tech to change the tire then, I was told to take the vehicle and exchange it at a place in Orlando. The place I was told to go then tells me they don't have a vehicle to exchange for me. How had no one checked to see that before I was referred there. No I'm stuck 4 hours away from home with a donut tire on my vehicle. After I informed then there was no vehicle at the location they sent me to, then i was told someone would contact me with further instructions. 26 hours later still no contact with further instructions. I dealt with the local branch, the customer service reps, and the roadside assistance department, every single one lied and were very unhelpful. I have nothing good to say about this company. Also looking at other reviews this is typical service for them. This is the worst company with the worst employees. I will never use them again and I will be reporting them to better business bureau.

After a month of no response to my emails requesting photo proof, I contacted our corporate AVIs contact - they did quickly respond. Bottom Line: It is unfortunate that Avis is arbitrarily imposing a smoking fee on my car rental when that could not possibly be the case (I am a life-long non-smoker). Without further investigation or acknowledgment of the facts I have submitted, I am left with no choice but to instruct my credit card company to dispute these erroneous charges. The attached pictures are the "dirt" - a small white pebble that could have been on our foot/boots; possibly salt from Chicago snow. Looking Question to AVIS: Why was this rental not inspected until January 1, 2025, when I returned it on December 29, 2024? Did you even consider the possibility that someone could have accessed the car while it was sitting there, perhaps even on New Year's Eve, to keep warm and smoke?

When I returned 3 days later, my car had signs taped on all sides to the front windshield and back that left tape residue. Also, an employee came out and said I was disrespectful to them by parking without telling them and they have signs indoors telling people not to. I didn't see signs, no one told me, and there weren't any signs in the parking lot, or pavement markings in the parking spaces. How are people supposed to get to and from the rental office? It isn't a walkable area.
