Upon flying into Tallahassee I was expecting to take an Uber home. My flight was late and I was supposed to be at my daughters school event by 6pm. I attempted to get an Uber there were none available. On a whim I decided to see what a car service would cost, called the first one and the British automated voice turned into a rude lady that said it would be $130 and they could not pick me up for 1.5 hours. I think called Five Star, not only did they come pick me up in black Cadillac in 15 min, they also handled my bags, opened my door, provided water and got to me my daughters event on time. I wish there was a negative rating option! I work for an apartment community who takes their kids to school on the first day in a limo. Today was the day, school time has come and gone and we STILL haven't even so much as HEARD from this ridiculous "company". My child and a group of his friends rented a party bus for their Prom 3/28 which unfortunately was cancelled due to Covid-19. When 5 Star was contacted about a refund due to cancellation, we were given a sob story and told that wasn't possible. There happened to be no rental agreement either. Chuck Mauer, the owner, just pocketed $2800! How unethical as a business owner in today's crisis when many of the kids parents may no longer even have a job. I would not recommend this company to anyone! read more

We have used Five Star Limo several times, and they have always been superior! Chuck, the owner, makes sure our group has everything they need at all times. The limo is beautiful for a night on the town, but we also loved taking the party bus! We took it to a shower and by the time we reached our destination, everyone just wanted to continue to stay on the bus because we had such a good time with all the amenities! If there were a negative rating, they would get it. We rented a party bus for prom, and it was apparently a 18 seater. You couldn't even comfortably put 12 people on it. Once the man showed up at our house, we all got on the very unattractive bus to find out that the air conditioner was broken. They didn't tell us ahead of time that there was anything wrong with the bus. The inside of it was about 100 degrees. On top of that the driver didn't even know how to work his own radio. We had to provide our own auxiliary cord. But after going to the prom we got back on to our extremely hot bus and went back to the house to change. While the bus was in the driveway it just shut off. The engine just stopped and wouldn't start back up at first. Once we got it working we went to a gas station and the driver was inside. Some of us were on the bus and all the sudden the breaks failed and it started rolling and almost hit the building. The driver didn't seem alarmed at all. Turns out he was completely aware of the fact that his bus had transmission issues! He put a bunch of high schoolers in danger on a broken bus! He offered to let us ride on the bus as long as we wanted but why would we want to continue to ride on a party bus without air conditioning and transmission problems? It was possibly the worst experience any of us have ever had. Never rent from this company. Ever. read more
