Well I don't know how to start this off but I'll do my best ! To start with i find out my car I…read morerented does not come with a spare tire, I drive a total of 4 hours a day to and from work, now if i should have a flat on my way to work or home I'm SOL no spare? I talk to someone at Enterprise and they informed me some of their cars come with a spare and some of them don't ! Now of course they don't inform me of this before I rent .. I'm 67 years old man the last thing I should have to worry about is, do I have a safe form of transportation to get me to and from work everyday. Oh when I asked about getting a spare tire for this vehicle he informed me I can call triple AAA to come and fix the tire how kind of him to offer a solution!! For those of you that don't know if your tire blow out on the side wall of the tire they classify this as non repairable tire they cannot and will not fix it !!oh triple AAA does not carry spare tires sooo we're at square one I have no spare tire to replace the blown out one. Of the highway I drive to and from work everyday there's a bare minimum of 30 to 45 minute wait time for triple AAA to show up for help that's if it just simple nail hole in the tread of the tire and at my age and in this heat I've been put in a bad situation when all I wanted was a safe form of transportation to and from work everyday!!! On a side note the car is fantastic no issues this whole thing is evolving around no spare tire and customer service solution to this problem, use this experience I'm going through to help you on your next rental!!

I even experienced a flat tire within an hour of leaving the location and thankfully with my added protection on the rental reservation, they were able to quickly replace the vehicle for me so I could be on my way to a timely appointment, with zero issues. As this Enterprise location is the closest to me, off I went to get my car for a business trip that starts tomorrow. The first thing we noticed is that the rental facility is far nicer inside than I would have expected. Clean, lots of windows, well lit. Sets a nice tone. And the counter staff were friendly and helpful. They quickly processed my rental paperwork for me and we were walking to take a look at the car in under 10 minutes. When I saw that the car only had manual seat controls, I asked if there was something with electric controls (no, I am not a car-seat-control snob. I have a bad lower back and being able to adjust the seat while driving, especially in a rental, helps make sure I can minimize any lower back pain). The agent quickly looked at the other cars in the lot, saw one with electric controls, and switched my original car for that one. Great customer service! The car was a 2015 and clean (and when the cars were not clean, I saw that the desk agents would run out and take them to the car wash station themselves so that the new renter could quickly be on their way and not have to wait). The only reason I am not making this a 5 star review is because I want to see how the actual rental car is during my trip. I'll post an update when I get back.

After a month of no response to my emails requesting photo proof, I contacted our corporate AVIs contact - they did quickly respond. Bottom Line: It is unfortunate that Avis is arbitrarily imposing a smoking fee on my car rental when that could not possibly be the case (I am a life-long non-smoker). Without further investigation or acknowledgment of the facts I have submitted, I am left with no choice but to instruct my credit card company to dispute these erroneous charges. The attached pictures are the "dirt" - a small white pebble that could have been on our foot/boots; possibly salt from Chicago snow. Looking Question to AVIS: Why was this rental not inspected until January 1, 2025, when I returned it on December 29, 2024? Did you even consider the possibility that someone could have accessed the car while it was sitting there, perhaps even on New Year's Eve, to keep warm and smoke?

I would recommend renting from a company off-airport to avoid the trouble since it seemed like the other companies here also did not have cars available.
