The Asst Branch Mgr cancelled my reservation for lack of vehicles at 6:30pm for my 8am pick-up the next morning by an email message no less. This is unacceptable business practice. Who does this? Enterprise - Do better! This location has poor ratings and I have learned the hard way with no car waiting for me. I made this reservation weeks out and received multiple requests for confirmation which I completed so why were they unprepared or unwilling to fulfill my reservation. I just got off the phone with a Jimmy and was asking about vehicle availability. He was very short, had an attitude problem & didn't even say goodbye when we hung up, he just hung up abruptly. There were also these awkward long pauses of silence before he would answer my question, I wasn't even sure if he was listening or couldn't hear me but it made me feel like he was focused on something else when I was trying to have a discussion with him. Went to pick up a rental that was reserved 10 days ago. Waited over 2 hours - they did not have the type of car I reserved nor was ANY car ready "since it wasn't retail, but through insurance". Oh, but they say waiting 2 hours is good because the Temple location is a 3 hour wait if using insurance. We spoke to this agency TWICE before the actual reservation time, and NEVER were we told it would be a wait. The guy told me most people don't realize how long it takes to get a rental. UM, I have been renting for 30 years and haven't waited over 20 minutes. This is a SCAM to get you to upgrade to an "available" car that exceeds the amount insurance is willing to pay - so you wait until you are ready or upgrade or complain and bug them to the point your reservation is ready. read more

I have rented vehicles from Enterprise in other states and after reading several reviews about them, I am having second thoughts about renting a vehicle from them. I did request a call back to ask a very simple question, and if no one replies, they will lose my business I do not travel often, but this trip is very important and I need cooperation. They were my first option, but again, if no reply, I will look elsewhere. If the reviews pile up against them, I would hope that consumers would read them carefully and with consideration. What a miserable place. Clearly no regard for their customers' safety. I get a flat in their vehicle, they tell me they have vehicles available, yet they refuse to release one to me forcing me to drive over 100 miles on a donut. Dishonest. Says they will pick up at location and drop off but refused to pick up my husband who is a disabled Veteran. Only brought him back after he confronted them with their false advertisement. Would not give him credit for the $22.50 he had to spent on a cab to get to the place. The manager should be fired. read more

Take a battery tester with you, if you're going to check out a car. If they give you a car with a bad battery, and you are stranded trying to figure out how to get your kids to school- they will not take care of you. They will taut their roadside assistance that will cost you another $55. read more

I don't even give this place 1 star. Got into an accident my insurance reserved a car for me to where all I had to do was put down a deposit. I show up at the location for them to refuse to give me the rental that insurance was already paying for. Along with them to tell me I don't make enough money because of me being a college student full time I'm only able to work part time. The service I received during COVID-19 issues was great. The lady that helped me had to call my warranty claim office and was very patient while we had to wait on hold for a very long time. She was extremely friendly and accommodating. Car was clean and ready to go. Several methods to keep the social distance for the clients and the staff. Insurance reserved a car for us after a accident. All the employees kept asking was how did it happen. Then wouldn't let us rent the vehicle because hadn't had the job we have been at for at least six months, even though the insurance set it up and the insurance was going to be paying for the majority of it. Was in an accident and my insurance reserved a rental car for me at Enterprise. I called because I'd be slightly late (6:10) to pick up the car and they wouldn't make any arrangements to help accommodate me. Ok, not the best customer service, so I told them I'd come at 7:30 the next morning. Got there at 7:30 and waited over half an hour to get a rental car (which had something dragging underneath it when they brought it out the first time). In addition , the car was dirty, only had 1/8 a tank of gas, and smelled like e-cig. The gentleman who helped us that morning was friendly (Colton, I think) Or else I'd have recommended 0 stars. I made a reservation for my son online since his car was in the shop. I drove him over from the mechanic and luckily came inside, since this would be his first car rental. We both have Bank of America check cards that work as either credit or debit and with which I have used to rent cars, and make hotel reservations all over the United States. It turned out he needed a utility bill and check stub in order to use his card. I had a major credit card so switched the rental to my name figuring I would drive the rental and he could drive my car. This was fine except that our 2:00 pm pick up time came and went as the car had been taken for an oil change. I had timed this rental pick up so that I could head on in to work after. They offered a pick up truck instead. Ummm, no, I don't want that kind of gas mileage. Finally, at 2:40, I was able to get the car. Shuttle driver showed up at dealership. Never told us who she was. Then a group of ten people hopped in and we stood there like well I guess that was the way to the rental car. After the shuttle driver sped off (we couldn't keep up with her speed) we drove ourselves to the location. We had reserved a car so that we could be in and be out. Not so much!!!! There was a line of 10 people, and then after waiting 30 minutes, the line opened up and it was our turn and the lady behind us burst out all loud, hey is my car ready. I said to my husband there is no way he is going to take her first and sure enough he did. I could believe it. When it became our turn I said something and you know you get the standard " we're sorry about that". Sorry my butt. This is the most unprofessional Enterprise I have ever been too. I don't YELP often but when I do its because of this type of serve or amazing serve. You only get one star and that's because someone was kind enough to apologize. We are still here waiting for a car and it's been a hour. The only bad thing I honestly have to say is each time I rent from enterprise their cars are dirty. Not just that they did not vacuum but this last time and previous the seats had so many stains and had a thick smell of smoke in the car. They were nice enough to switch out car, I had to point out another car was available after the guy told me there was not a car available . read more

My college-age daughter was in need of a rental while she had repairs done on her car. During the rental time, she came home to visit and do some shopping before heading out to her summer job. She returned the rental but failed to get her shopping bags out of the car. The car was rented again by someone else and returned to another store. After five phone calls, all initiated on our end, no luck on the merchandise. I was told that this Enterprise only does a check for damages and maybe a garage door opener. They don't check the trunk or back seat. "Aw, gee, sorry. We don't check that stuff" was all we got. Granted, she shouldn't have forgotten the bags in the first place. Really Poor customer service. No call back, no check. And they also charged her for an extra day after insurance approved the extension. I don't think I will be coming here again...ever. boo read more

So I reserved online. Then I called the office that I reserved with to ask if I could have a pickup they said sure and what time? So I told them and they came on time to pick up, but when we got to the location of the Enterprise Lot, there was no cars available after I was told that there would be. So I had to get a ride back to work because they said it would be 2 hours before they would have a car ready!! So I went back to work and they dropped the car off before I got off work, but I didn't have time to review everything on the car because I was busy. So after work, when I got in the car, I turned it on and started trying to learn how it all worked and the gas was on E and the gas light came on not too long after that! Then I stopped and got gas and about 10 minutes on the highway, the change engine oil light came on and stayed on the rest of the trip! Next day I called the location I got the car from and notified them of the issues. They advised me to take it to a local Firestone dealer and have the oil changed and they would mark on the contract I got it with no gas so I wouldn't be charged their refueling price if it came back empty. So the next morning I went to the Firestone dealer and while they had the car, doing the oil change, they discovered that one of my tires was split all the way down to the fibers. So then I had to call the help desk at Enterprise and get an approval for the automotive guy to even replace the tire that was bad! ! When I got back home and returned the car, I told my story to the lead person at local office and the ONLY thing they offered me for all my time and trouble was a free upgrade for my next rental!!! I never had sooooo many problems, probably will never rent there again!!! read more
