I have rented from the Enterprise Wayne PA location for 23 years. It's convenient and the staff typically friendly. Today my daughter rented from them(on my recommendation) and was given a car that was dirty and smelled of cigarettes. Perhaps this was an oversight. But with a lot full of cars she should have been offered a different car immediately and not asked to wait around for the vehicle to be cleaned. Taking advantage of a young woman and first time renter? Not impressed. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL, MICROAGGRESSION EXPERIENCE, and NEGATIVE ATTITUDE I rented a car with Abigail/Abby at the Wayne lcoation a few days ago. She picked me up from my home location of 2.5 miles away and took me to their office. I rented a mid level sedan and immediately noticed that it STUNK OF CIGGARETTE SMOKE. They did not have any other options so I was stuck with this car for 5 days with a measely 5% discount. When I came to the return the car on Saturday at 11:30am, I asked KEVIN for a ride back home to the same location where I had been picked up. It was 2.5 MILES AWAY and he IMMEDIATELY SAID NO. He gave me the generic "unfortunately we cannot do that, sorry.... also, we are closing in 10 mins" .This was not true because it was 11:35 am when I asked him and the ride back to my home was 2.5 miles away and only 8 minutes. I said to him "Can I please have the phone number for your regional manager?" and he immediately replied "You're REALLY gonna pull that on me?????" I said your policy says you will pick or drop off clients within a 5-7 mile radius and I was depending on this ride. I asked him if he could just call me an Uber instead. (My car dealership in LOS ANGELES does that all the time as do many others). He gave me MAJOR ATTITUDE AND said "well if you wait til I close up this place then I can give you a ride!!" and then STORMED away. He went inside of the location and approached Abby (the only other employee there) and took her to a private room to "discuss a car that was just dropped off". They were both in a separate closed room for a few minutes and then came out all giggly like they had a secret....WOW, NOT OBVIOUS AT ALL. How unprofessional to be gossiping about clients when they are STILL UNDER THE SAME ROOF. Also, she was helping another client pick up a rental car just prior and when she came back into the room, she started chatting with Kevin about "how she felt sorry for the guy because HIS CARD GOT DECLINED...." Once again, gossiping about clients, this time in front of other clients...UNPROFESSIONAL. Long story short, Kevin gave me and my husband a ride and aggressively drove us back to my home 2.5 miles away in what seemed like 5 minutes...pulled up to the drieway and then PEELED OUT IN THE KIA OPTIMA FE to never be seen again. PS. I hope Mr. Kevin (and UNPROFESSIONAL ABBY JONES) learn that they are in a customer service business and that this customer who is a WAYNE NATIVE and currently resides in BEVERLY HILLS WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMENDING THIS LOCATION. read more

Avoid this location, manager Abby is a nightmare, bait and switch, won't have car you reserved, but will tell you they can give you another car but for an additional charge. Will tell you "that's the internet" when you say Enterprise took the reservation online but can't provide a vehicle, and uses "we're really busy" as an excuse. Enterprise has sunk a long way down, and Abby is the anchor pulling it under. read more

The people here are friendly but the service and the only available vehicle sucked. The car had been sprayed with bottles of air freshener to cover up the smell of smoke, the windows were filthy, there were dents and dings everywhere and the back seat looked like a crime scene. I cleaned the window glass 4 times before the towels stopped turning brown from the nicotine but I never got them really clean. No attempts made to locate a better car and this was a long term rental due to repairs to our car. After 3 weeks they called us and said we needed to come in to exchange the car because they had sold the one we were driving. Glad to get rid of the stink mobile but shouldn't they have offered to drive a new car to us? Overall, I felt like a rented from rent a wreck instead of Enterprise. Today BMW rented a car for me since they were working on my car. Well at first they had a car for me, a Ford Expedition but as soon as I was about to drive away the manager noted it had a cracked screening said she could not rent that car out, so now they drove me to Berwyn so I could get a car there. Just a complete waste of time for me and the manager had an attitude. I think its best to reserve a car way in advance they cannot handle spur of the moment requests to rent cars. read more

Buyer beware of this office. I recently went through a horrible process when renting from them. While staying at the Radnor Hotel, I rented a car from this office and was told I could leave the car in the hotel parking lot, give the keys to the front desk and call them at the office so an employee could come and pick up the car. Sounds great- So the above is what I did. 7 days later I get a VM on a garbled line asking about the car. I try to return the call but it's some wrong number. 10 days later I answer a call from this office and they're asking me about 'where is the car' - So I tell them I did what I was told to do. A week after I returned the car, someone from this office called me to let me know they would be charging me for taxes. This was a mistake on their end which I called back and alerted them of. The woman I spoke with said she would follow up and never did. It took three calls total to have the issue resolved. This issue was created by the rental company and it was a huge hassle on my end to resolve. Regardless of being upgraded to a Jag, the issues with the initial rental and clerical issues after the fact were not worth it. I would only consider working with this office due to proximity to my car shop and because of my insurance's rental relationship, not for personal rentals. ======= Update on 1/25/2015. Since writing this, and having Enterprise corporate reach via the local office, I feel satisfied that Enterprise handled the mistakes and am impressed they have someone monitoring and responding to their social media. read more

This Enterprise location is a bit of a hit or miss, depending on who's manning the front desk. When it works, it's four stars. When it doesn't, it's a one star experience. I've walked in with reservation in hand and been processed and out the doors within minutes; no problems. But I've also sat in this office for up to 40 minutes waiting for someone to do my paperwork, and often, I am shown to a car that is not prepped and ready to be driven. And its rare that I can even drive off in the type of car I've requested (if I request an SUV or such). I've given up trying to be picked up at home (although that's Enterprise's big selling point), they almost never have anyone available for this service. If it weren't so damn close to my home, I'd go elsewhere. Since it's rare I got everything I desired when I walk out, I'm weighting this to the lower average, 2 stars. read more

Last month I took my car to Audi Devon for service. My service adviser told me that he was out of loaners and arranged me a FREE rental through Enterprise Wayne, PA. I returned the rental on the followings day when my car was done. To my surprise, I found out Enterprise charged me $90.18 for the rental when I checked my credit card statement two weeks later. So I called Enterprise. The branch manager Moe stated that the charge is for the additional insurance which I DIDN'T opt in for. As a matter of fact, the guy at Enterprise didn't even mention additional insurance to me when I signed up for the rental. I was just told to sign on his tablet to acknowledge that Audi Devon would pay the rental car which DOES come with standard insurance. Finally, Moe, the branch manager partially refunded me $55.96 while calling me a liar and asking me not to call again. What a terrible person he is and what a humiliating experience to me! I will continue fight to get back the rest of my money that I shouldn't pay in the first place. read more

This has become my go to car rental location. I rent 30+ cars a year for business travel, and have a severe back problem requiring a luxury car or large SUV. This location always has what I need on short notice. The branch manager, delivers fantastic customer service. His cars are always clean, and ready to go when you arrive. The staff is friendly and willing to do whatever is necessary to make customers happy. I have made this my first call for rentals and have abandoned the Avis in King of Prussia in favor of this location. I strongly recommend this location for car rentals. read more

I have used the Enterprise in Wayne at least 3 times. The first time I had reserved a minivan but they upgraded me to an Expedition. The next 2 times did not result in an upgrade however I still give them 5 stars for their customer service. Jake is very friendly and helpful. I always make a reservation & they will call me the day before and if I am late they call to see if they can come pick me up. The process itself is quick & painless. Tell them what I reserved, give them my cc & license & I have been in the rental car in less than 15 minutes from the minute I walked through the door. I was a AAA member & could have gotten discounts from other rental agencies, but I prefer to give my business as a return customer to Enterprise becasue they have earned my trust. read more

They came down to the Wayne train station to pick me up and then dropped me there again 5 days later. Price was great too. Definitely 5 stars! The service was great when I was checking in- they even drove me back to my apartment for free when I forgot my wallet. The car was brand new with only 3,000 miles. Everything about the rental experience went smoothly. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I told them that I was driving a roundtrip from Wayne to Atlantic City, and they told me that trip would use about 1 tank of gas- so I prepaid for the entire tank. The whole trip ended up using only half a tank though. Maybe that's more my fault than theirs. read more

A few months ago I rented a car from this particular branch near Paoli, PA. I requested a pickup to get the car and when the rental was completed, I drove it back where the rental car was examined thoroughly. No problems were found since there were none and all papers completed which I kept. About a month later, I received a letter in the mail from Enterprise that claimed I was in an accident and I should notify my insurance company. Stunned at first, I immediately called the company. They had no record of this letter but claimed the car that I had used and returned in perfect order was possibly in an accident with the next renters. Then a few weeks later, I receive another letter from Enterprise that says I shouldn't worry and they would take care of my "supposed" accident details. Once again, I call them to explain that there was no accident. I would never rent a car from them again for their groundless accusations and sloppy apologies that border on a scam. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I am a frequent traveler, and rent cars in many locations throughout the country. I've had the displeasure of renting here twice, strictly out of convenience. I will not be returning. My first experience was sub-par, however I guess I didn't learn my lesson. I returned and the second time, had an even worse experience. My issue is not with the cars, or the location. Each time, I was provided with a decent selection. I left with a great vehicle each time. My issues are with the staff, who are unprofessional and untrustworthy. Jake and Gus are two of the rudest people I've had to deal with on a customer service level in a long-time. Jake also made unauthorized charges to my credit card. I have reported his actions to the area manager, and Enterprise corporate customer service. Somehow this individual is a branch manager. I don't think he is a very good reflection on the organization. read more
