Poor experience attempting to rent a car here. The agent told me AFTER i signed the rental contract and ran my credit card that pets cannot travel in the car. I said "since when,,, i have rented from Enterprise for years". The unprofessional agent said "its on the website ". If thats true its buried somewhere. Keep in mind I paid a $300 deposit so clearly if I left dog hair on the seat they could keep the deposit. I canceled my Enterprise plus account and won't be back. The only reason for 2 stars is because they did drive me home after not renting to me. What a shame, I was always impressed with their customer service until now. read more

Rented a Ford Expedition (or similar) Premium Full size SUV for a business trip online. It was confirmed. I called the local facility to arrange for pickup and to make sure they had the reservation the day before. I was assured everything was ok. At the time for pick up of my vehicle, I was notified that they didn't have ANY SUV'S available. The manager informed me the only car that they had available in the entire area (Winston-Salem, Greensboro, etc.) was a choice of only a older minivan that they had on their lot. He kept trying to tell me it was the same thing that i reserved. He said for my inconvenience, he could take $5 off the rental from the Premium SUV price. When I asked him to solve the issue in a better way, he said he would simply cancel my reservation and then promptly hung up on me. Enterprise would be better off without this manager. read more

They work so hard to ensure their customers are satisfied. Each time I rent from there they ensure my car is ready and get me in and out as quickly and smoothly as possible. I love that they are able to offer a pick up and drop off service if needed. They throughly check the car before giving it to you and answer all your questions and provide contact information if you need assistance during the course of your rental. I always try to go to this one location because not every store branch operates at this level of excellence. Wow - so frustrated - vehicle was a little beat up when we rented but told they would note the prior damages. Then my wife was hit in the rental - very minor and Enterprise Damage Unit now is telling us we need to pay for a wheel ding (wheel repair and alignment), lots or little dents along with the damages. Our failure was that we accepted the car that was beat up - and did not make sure every single tiny detail was noted on the contract prior to signing. Even the few things that were noted were still on their estimate and I am fighting to get removed - one was noted as left vs. right so they are saying we have to pay for all this pre-existing damage as it was not noted. read more

I would have given this Enterprise branch five stars a couple years ago but I really think they don't get the idea of service. They think I should be saying thank you to them. Thank you that your person drove me 1/4 mile so I can park my car in a parking lot and hope it doesn't get vandalized. Thank you for taking and additional $200 off my credit card when you haven't done it in 6 years (when I rent from here 12 times a year). Thank you for waiting, when another individual sat in the back. BTW, I really don't appreciate taking away the NRA discount even though I didn't know know there was one. After waiting in the freezing 20 degree weather in the dark for my scheduled pick up they didn't show up and didn't call. I had to take Uber to their office. My reservation was confirmed at noon. Then, I got there and they told me since I had an out of state license and a VISA debit card they couldn't rent to me. They knew all about this when I called the corporate office at noon and gave them my drivers license and card number. I had to call Uber, again to come pick me up from the Enterprise lobby and take me home. I will have to call Uber again in the morning to take me back to work. Never rent from this completely unreliable company. They have no concern for your safety and could care less about confirmations. I emailed and called Enterprise Customer Care and they have never contacted me. When I called they said my problem needed to be "elevated", then they never returned my call. They just want to put on a good act for the public. read more

This Enterprise and I started off on the wrong foot - I had actually booked on Stratford Rd but needed a ride, so had to switch locations. I called to bump up my reservation by 30 minutes, which was out of the ordinary for them. Almost an hour after I asked to be picked up, someone finally came to get me (I live a mile away). BUT: everyone was super-friendly once the show got on the road. The manager Tony was apologetic, explained how wires got crossed, and a car was waiting for me when I got there. I had the fastest check-out ever, and I've rented a lot of Enterprise cars. I really appreciate everyone's efforts to get me on the road and when I need to rent a car agin, I'm coming here. Bonus: there's a night drop box and they gave me a break on price because I was coming back late on a Saturday and they didn't have Sunday hours. read more

After using Enterprise tor every family trip since 1994, and buying our Chrysler Sebring from them in 2012, I reserved another car. for 4 days July 23, 2021 to attend my fathers 90th birthday in Fla. I was quoted a price of $360 ish. When I went to get car the manager insisted on another $300. for a deposit ! The rental prices doubled as it is because of 'covid'.Even with my good rental history and situation he would not budge ! I was devestated and left. No more Enterprise for this family ! read more

Was in an accident and my insurer assigned me to Hertz for my rentals. I had used Enterprise in the past for a safety recall and had a very positive experience, so I was hesitant to try a new place. Long story short - I had a TERRIBLE experience with the Hertz in Winston Salem. They didn't have ANY cars available for TWO DAYS and when they finally did it was a smaller car when my insurance assured me I would me in an SUV since that is what I usually drive. Walked in to Enterprise the next day without calling ahead or anything, hoping for a miracle. And that is exactly what I got! They even had a rental that is the exact car I drive and asked if I would like it so I could be more comfortable for the three weeks my car was in the shop. Multiple members of the staff apologized and empathized with me about the accident and subsequent rental experience I had gone through and got me in and out in 10 minutes. One of the employees even used to work for my insurance company and offered advice on how to get a better policy so I pay less out of pocket for a rental going forward. Great convenient location and excellent staff. Could not recommend enough!! read more

It is obvious that Enterprise has poor customer service as a whole. It doesn't matter location, it should not be so difficult to get a rental, especially with an open insurance claim. The failure to contact me as stated, reserving a car, etc... Should be a proactive effort by your teams. I will avoid at all costs using your company in the future. read more

Got one of my more enjoyable rentals from this location over thanksgiving. Decided to splurge and upgrade to a sports car considering I was going to have it for 8 days. Went from a Sentra to a 2019 Dodge Challenger AWD with only 300 miles on it. I was very pleased with this location and the staff for getting me upgraded in a timely manner without any headache! I was satisfied with the service until it involved my MONEY. I returned their vehicle on a Thursday, called Friday about my $200 deposit and was told we return it immediately on our end but it could take 24-48 hrs. Call back Monday and I was told they forgot to close me out, even though I spoke with someone. Once again I'm being told 24-48 hrs. before my deposit is returned and there's absolutely nothing I can do about. That's not satisfactory. If there were zero stars I would rate this a zero for this experience. We rented a truck to drive out of state for the holidays. Our rental was brought to us reeking of smoke that we felt we were driving in an ashtray. Our eyes were watering the first hour driving and couldn't believe how terrible the condition was and that we were given a vehicle this bad. After speaking with the manager we were given instruction to stop on our drive to another location to swap out the rental for another truck. The manager provided us with the location to get the replacement truck and when we arrived we were told they had nothing larger than a sedan. 45minutes later we are leaving without what we were promised and now incredibly out of the way and off schedule for our travel plans. read more

Then I start calling customer service who after an hour tell me that they are sorry but the location only has 2 people working today so they cannot do the schedule pickup. They could at least called me but no nothing , plans are ruined . The worst part is there is no way you can speak to anyone higher than the CSR in call center and they say they can do nothing. I rent from enterprise all the time. I used to get my car at the enterprise office in King. Unfortunately for me they closed that office.. The next closest office was on University up by the Coliseum. They were extremely nice they came and got me all the way up into and they brought me home when the trip was done. I arrived and immediately got checked in - when the car was inspected and found to smell too smoky, they gave me an upgrade and got out quickly. When I returned the car, I was in a rush and left an expensive pair of sunglasses behind in the console. I called 2 days later and they tracked them down & called when they were ready to pick up. We rented a car from the Enterprise at CLT airport and got a flat tire in it about a block away from this office. Antinain was working that day and went above and beyond to help us get back on the road as we had to get back to the airport. He didn't have any cars available that were big enough for 4 adults and our luggage. He called around to all the other local locations, but the fastest solution was to get a new tire. Working with their maintenance partner, we were on our way in a couple hours, and we made it to the airport in time! read more

Reservations mean nothing to these people. I reserved an intermediate sedan (Hyundai Elantra or similar) online a week before I needed to pick it up. I called on Thursday & spoke with Anisha at the location on University Pkwy where I would be picking up the car that Saturday to make sure everything was set. Saturday morning at 10:30 I got a ride from a friend & after they dropped me off I found out that they did not have the type of car I had reserved. The only car they claimed was still available was a sub compact (Ford Fiesta) What a joke! There is barely enough room in the back for a briefcase much less a full sized suitcase. Since I could either walk home (10 miles) or take what they had I'm stuck in it now for the entire 4 days of my rental. I got absolutely no help & very little sympathy from Cheryl at the national customer service call center either. Definitely will NOT be renting from Enterprise again. read more
