Upon receiving my deposit, there was a deduction which is not disclosed! I am contacting my state, attorney general, and i'm filing aBBB complaint. Your office also has failed to phone call or reach me after I filed a complaint. From speaking to the dale city branch to r Richmond Highway office, this turned out to be an experience that I would not want to repeat. The rudeness I encountered at dale city, causing me to be sent to Richmond Highway office, and then all of the information again was not disclosed. Why would you put a notice about a deposit out of immediate sight of a renter?? It needs to be front and center at the place where the renter is making their payment and speaking to the associate. When I returned the vehicle, I sat down in a chair, and no one offered to help me until I stood up and said, will somebody help me return this vehicle? You need to work on your customer service!! Due to a hit and run, my wife's car needed a repair. Our insurance provided a rental car during the repair period. Their process was to use Enterprise. The car Enterprise provided was a Chevrolet Malibu, which like many rentals, had some chips, scratches, and physical imperfections. For our purposes, that was ok. The MAJOR problem was it REEKED of cigarette smoke as well as had odd stains on the carpet. Neither my wife and I smoke and have an aversion to cigarette smoke. It was so awful that one needed a shower and to wash the worn clothing after riding in it. YES, we provided feedback on the text message sent from Enterprise and its reply said we would be contacted....no one called us. Due to work, distance, and traffic constraints, we were unable to take the car back for an exchange. If the office had contacted us and assured that a clean car would be available, we may have exchanged it. We used two cans of aerosol disinfectant to make the car tolerable but it needs a deep carpet and upholstery cleaning. The puzzling thing is why Enterprise did not clean the car when it was returned by the previous customer. One has to be nose blind to not smell the horrid odor that permeated from this vehicle. Supposedly, smoking is prohibited in their cars and a hefty fee is levied should someone smoke in them. This particular branch does not seem to follow that policy. This was the second time I've had an issue with Enterprise. Disappointed is not an adequate word for my feelings on this matter. read more

A couple of weeks ago I came to Enterprise to pick up my rental. I was greeted by Jasmine and Grace. Both of these individuals were extremely professional, courteous, friendly, and very diligent in their work. Customer service is a thankless job but I noticed both these people were extremely helpful towards their customers. They are definitely the example when it comes to customer service care. It's the little things that go long way. Jasmine even offered me an upgrade and gave me details on prices and discounts. I was able to select a great vehicle with the GV80. My insurance company arranged a rental pickup from this location. Even though I had a very poor experience from this rental location in the past, I figured this location got its act together but from my recent personal experience and reading the other reviews...nothing has changed. I also made a false assumption that since I had a wonderful experience at the Enterprise Sales at this location it would be the same service at the Enterprise rental; I was totally off. Picked up a rental on Monday, August 28th. First thing I want to address is the fact that how to treat a customer properly cannot be taught via a training program. Why do people who work in customer service think it's stylish to try and treat customers poorly? They are only showing the exact type of human they are, has absolutely no reflection of the person they are mistreating. This is the second Enterprise I've dealt with within a month and the initial service was absolutely poor. Hanna the person at the counter speaks in a very condescending manner, loud and obnoxious. This personality type is surely not good for customer service. I didn't have much time to spare, I had to get to work so I accepted the rental that was issued. The young lady that walked me out to the rental (wasn't Hanna) pointed out the raggedy flooring right away and I advised of how filthy the rear seats were; I was pressed for time, so I accepted the rental. I had also reached my limit for dealing w/Hanna with the unprofessional distasteful demeanor. By Wednesday, August 30th a few things occurred with the rental; very concerning... 1. The tire air pressure signal triggered; two tires were low and had no caps. 2. Service light illuminated; vehicle is way over the time limit for maintenance service. 3. Low washer fluid. Rented a car for the weekend. When I picked up the vehicle it was busy, all staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. I asked a lot of question and all were answered. Rob and Tay helped with the rental, made sure I understood all the terms and conditions. The people were pretty "nice" however whoever cleans the cars aren't doing a good job. I had to switch out the first rental because the car smelled like smoke. It was more noticeable when I had to turned the heat on and it became unbearable. I also left my Apple Watch and charger in the car. I would not recommend this location. The car reviewed here was rented as part of an insurance claim and although I thought it was the reason why it was in such poor condition, based on other reviews, it's not. I had a scheduled time for pick up and waited close to one hour for the car to be ready, making me late for work that morning. A few days in, the key battery alerted me that it needed to be replaced. I had to return to have that replaced. There was a large stain on the front passenger side of the vehicle and the vehicle smelled as though it was soiled in. I guess they tried to cover the stench with their cleaner/disinfectant. I ended up spraying with odor reducing antibacterial fabric spray to get me through the end of the rental period, when I should have just swapped out the vehicle. I guess having kept the pick up experience in mind, I didn't want to wait who knows how long for that process. Because of the issues, the acting manager promised that if I created an enterprise account and email him when I did, he would deposit enough credit for a similar rental in the future. I did just that and even sent a follow up email, to which he did respond. It has been about six months since the conversation, yet I keep getting emails from enterprise, with an account balance of zero points. Never will I rent from them again. read more

This is my second time renting from this location and I absolutely love it the first it wasn't so busy and everyone was kind and efficient. Now this second time I was a little nervous because I was running a little late and they were quite busy with some difficult customers and I was worried it would take for ever but they managed to get everything done fast and efficiently. USAA Insurance rental....reserved online the Friday before a Monday afternoon p/u. P/U was uneventful, on time, and kind of pleasant...but the the customer service rep had none the info I submitted and no full size sedans. Tried to up-sale me...then a full sized was returned while I was waiting (convenient)... I'm thinking this fortuitous accept the vehicle. Driving to work, I realize that there is a problem with the brakes or the steering assembly. Called on Thursday said not feeling too safe operating this vehicle can we bring it back for another full size...we don't have one here, when I asked if they could check their system for one nearby?..."we don't do that"...can you schedule one to be brought to your location?..."we don't do that"... told me to call around to the other locations myself to get a replacement for a mechanically faulty vehicle... I will be letting USAA know that Enterprise CS is not up to the standard they (USAA) has provided to me in our 25+ years of doing business. read more

I booked a reservation for a car weeks ago. And even called to confirm and check in the day prior to make sure everything was straight. The person over the phone asked me my name address and whether or not I was paying with a debit or credit card. I gave him all of that and let him know I was paying with a debit card. Only to get to the Woodbridge location and discover that since I have an out-of-state license, I can't rent with a debit card. The manager with the bad bangs wasn't even helpful. Her only suggestion was "oh you can just go to the airport and get a rental". As if the airport isn't at the very least 40 minutes away. like I have never in my life been so inconvenienced because if I do my part, what's the problem with y'all holding up yours? and if you have policies like that, it would probably be smart to let people know that. it would also help to let your offsite customer service representatives to double check the state that they're making a reservation in so that the shit doesn't happen again. read more

Not impressed with this location. I am sure most of the people renting cars here are getting their cars serviced at one of the nearby car dealers. It is small, not a huge stock pile of cars. One women pulled up to return her car while I was there and I was the lucky one to get that car when I left. So obviously no detailed inspection or washing of the cars before you get yours. My car only had a 1/4 of a tank of gas in it when I received it. The rep told me I only had to bring it back with a 1/4 tank of gas. As soon as I pulled off the lot the gas meter went down to almost an 1/8. Most places give you a car with the tank full. It's a lot easier to fill it back up to full than it is to 1/4 tank. When I brought it back it was at a 1/2 tank of gas. I mentioned this to the man at the counter and he did give me a business car that lets me get 1/4 tank of gas free next time I rent from that location. Of course, that will only be out of necessity. Other than that - all the people that worked there were friendly, no complaints there. The office looked dingy and they needed to vacuum, it just wasn't professional looking. If you are dropping your car off for service there aren't many choices, so this is better than none. I think there is a Hertz nearby. Not sure if that is any better. I know I have high standards for customer service. When I traveled a lot and used enterprise I was always impressed, but not so much with this place. read more

I was so excited to find this location less than a mile from my home, the convenience! I require a rental car 4 times a month. Unfortunately, the deplorable customer service and lack of professionalism here compels me to leave Enterprise all together. A summary of my enterprise experiences: 1. Empty beer can left under the drivers seat. I only found it because I dropped my phone. 2. Late night reservation leaves me with 1 car and one car only to take ... a filthy beat up rental that didn't start the first time. "That's all we got" The alignment was so bad my wrists hurt after a 20 minute drive. I used Uber the rest of my trip. I return the car and the lady says "They let you take that off the lot?"..... I'm still charged for the rental I didn't feel safe to use. 3. Made a reservation at 12. Took 30 minutes to put me in a car that was JUST returned... not cleaned... and with half a tank of gas. 4. Made reservation online, the site selects 12pm for Sunday automatically. I call for a pick up prior to 12 because their famous slogan "we'll pick you up" and my ride fell through. I call for a pick up "we don't do pick ups on the weekend" I tell him I'll be there as soon as I can after I call an Uber. "We're out of here at 12", he says. I ask for some type of solution.... "you can go to the airport" I'm more mad at myself for continuing to be an Enterprise patron after event 3. It's a shame because I've had some great experiences with Enterprise.... but it seems over all this location and the company itself have forgotten the meaning of service. read more

I was in a car accident on July 25 and my vehicle was a total lost. My insurance company immediately, and I mean immediately put me in a rental car from Enterprise. I used the vehicle for a week and today I call the Enterprise Car Rental office where I got the car. I asked them if they could drive me home after I dropped the car. they suggested, I take the car to the Potomac Mills office since it is closer to where I live. When I got there, the office was closed, so I went to this office. I spoke with Caleb Brown, the assistant manager and explain I was trying to return the car but the office was closed. He told me, my residence is not in his area, but he was going to take care of me if I was willing to wait for a while. I waited less than 8 minutes (I had received a text and was able to estimate the wait time). Tyler, an incredible young man showed up and took me home. These two employees, Caleb and Tyler epitomize what EXCELLENT customer service is all about. Thanks guys, you deserve a big BRAVO ZULU (ask a Navy or Coast Guard members what it means) read more

UPDATE: They told me I was on a $1500 hold while it was investigated and they would get back to me within approximately a week and instead charged me the FULL $1500 price within days....WITHOUT telling me! I ONLY found out by looking at my financial accounts. I have reached out to Enterprise since this happened a month ago and it is always "we will get back to you" or "we are looking into what happend." But nobody calls me back. Come to find out we are not the only ones this has happened to. Save your mental, and emotional well being while dealing with them as well as your pocket book and go somewhere else! They are only here to cheat you!! I am a current customer and reserved a vehicle in October for my wedding with an great rate. I called 2 days ahead asking if they were going to be able to provide me with the vehicle that I reserved. I asked because I usually reserve with the airport but wanted something closer to my home. I received an email to check in the night before so I did. I arrive for my pick up time and this location did not have the vehicle or anything comparable. I was informed by Joey that I could go to the Reagan airport and transfer my reservation for the same vehicle and price. He informed me that since I had checked in online the night before he could not do it through his system. So I then had to find someone to take me to the airport in order to take my car home which took another 2 hours. I finally get to the airport and was informed that I could not transfer my reservation nor for the same price. The woman then informed me that I had to recreate a new reservation meaning my rate would be astronomical. So instead of me paying $250 for the week for my vehicle I am on a $1500 hold. I was able to speak with the airport branch manager who was very helpful however, the Woodbridge location manager was no longer available since the location was closed by the time I arrived to the airport. This still has not been resolved and I am deeply concerned about a company not honoring people's reservations. This was something planned in advanced and I received nothing to support me because this location gave away all the vehicles especially after I called about it. I would like to receive the district manager and regional managers information because this is poor customer service on this location. read more

Leaving me stranded and going to Penske where I had to pay significantly more because I had to have a truck that weekend for a move.
