He apparently saw that the Enterprise Roadside Assistance (ERA) person I had talked to had put them down as where I should go to get a replacement for a rental with mechanical problems. He took the trouble of calling me ten minutes after I got off the phone with ERA to say they didn't have a replacement car for me and that I should really go to the Springfield Town Center store instead (which I did. See my review of them). I just want to say I think that is pretty professional of him. Thanks, Keith, for saving me a trip and the frustration I would have otherwise experienced! Word to the wise, folks: Always call Enterprise Roadside Assistance when you have a problem with one of their rentals. They'll help you get on the right track, and they notify the store you're coming!

This charge was unexpected and, in my view, unjustified based on how the rental was handled by your team. When I arrived at your branch at 7500 Fullerton Road in Springfield Virginia I requested a Toyota Camry that I saw in the lot--a standard vehicle that I knew would fall within the limits of my Geico rental reimbursement. I was told the only Camry belonged to an employee and that no other vehicles were available except a Ford Expedition Max and a mini Cooper (I am 6'5 250lbs by the way). While I didn't object to the SUV itself, I asked multiple times whether my insurance would cover it. I was assured, "they're all the same," which clearly implied there would be no out-of-pocket cost to me. At no point was I informed that I would be personally responsible once my Geico coverage maxed out. There was no communication. I relied on Enterprise's staff to be transparent, and they were not. When I returned to the body shop to retrieve my car, the manager at L&M asked me how I was doing. I expressed my frustration, and he acknowledged that this wasn't the first time he'd seen this happen. He told me, "that Enterprise does this all the time," and cited another customer who had just been charged $110/day for an unintended upgrade... assumably because he had a nice BMW. Clearly, this appears to be a recurring issue at this location. I have tried repeatedly to contact your customer service line with no success. Given the lack of transparency, the misleading responses I was given, and the pattern of this behavior reported by the body shop, I do not recommend this location.

So, I want to take a few minutes to genuinely appreciate the staff at the Enterprise car rental in Springfield, VA. We had a surprisingly great experience overall, including working through an unexpected issue. The staff were professional, friendly and great to work with when we picked up our vehicle. There was also a genuine mistake on our rental agreement that no one caught, and not even I saw it until I was getting ready to return the vehicle. I brought it up to the staff, who were very patient, looked into it, and then put me in touch with the branch manager. I was absolutely in a position to be totally screwed over, but instead the branch manager took the time to look into it, speak with me, and at the end of the day - he corrected it and did right by me! Thank you Nathanael (Nate) and team for going above and beyond, and doing right by me! It's easy to give five stars when things are smooth and go as planned. But it's truly a remarkable five stars when hiccups happen, and the customer still walks away going wow- these are some professional hard working folks trying to do their best and doing a great job. Thank you! I am now absolutely a loyal customer and will be back to rent from them whenever we have friends or family come to town.

    I made a reservation at the Fort Belvoir, VA location by logging on www.enterprise.com like any…read moreother time I choose to use Enterprise. I got the confirmation back and was happy that I was able to get the weekend rate. 15 minutes later Marco called from the Belvoir location saying he did not know how I was able to get the confirmation for a weekend rate. I was quite puzzled. He also said he did not have a full size car as I reserved. That part (car availability) I have been through before and I understood that. The part I could not understand is that he was not sure how I got that type confirmation. I asked to speak with his manager Christine. He gave me her number. When I talked to her I thought she would have tried to assist me in finding a location that honors the weekend rate. NO SHE DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except ditto what Marco said that she did not know how I got that confirmation for a weekend rate with the undertone as if it was some fault of mine. I don't know how they expected me to answer that. I did the reservation like any other. She said they must have glitches. OK they might have glitches but as a customer who has chosen to use Enterprise time and time again, I was let down this time. I have access to the military base as I am Military so that was not an issue for me. I have never received a telephone call after I have a confirmation stating that they don't know how I got it and that they could not help me. Marco nor Christine did anything to help me. The Enterprise glitch is not the customer's problem. It is an Enterprise problem. What would have made me feel good is if Marco or Christine tried to help this Enterprise customer who had a reservation. Instead they disabled me with no empathy. When there are glitches, the agent and/or the manager should go above and beyond to help the customer. I had to make alternate "Enterprise" arrangements by calling the complaint line. MARCO NOR CHRISTINE DID ANYTHING TO HELP THE CUSTOMER THEY DISABLED. That is not the Enterprise that I have used time and time again. I do not even recall the words "I'm Sorry." They should have tried to assist me. Their actions and position on my issue do not reflect what Enterprise advertises their customer service model to be.
