Gets my info 10 min later Tells me my reservation is getting prepared. 30 minutes later the same people that were here before me are still here. Worker is telling everyone he has mo cars left. The phones have gone unanswered whole time, and have not stopped ringing. No vending machines. No restrooms. Dirty waiting area. Trash on floor. Needed a vehicle to get to work booked online with express (added everything for "less time at the counter" only to be brought to a different location and told to wait again. Now I am extremely late for work and stuck with no car and no explanation. If I had been told the vehicle or I reserved wasn't available at that location I would rather have been given a different vehicle then have been sent to another location to wait yet again. Horrible customer service!!!! The so called manager had a major attitude and hung up on me when I was inquiring about why they were calling my emergency point of contact. Was I annoyed? Yes, I told him for a manager he needed to do better because initially Enterprise called my cell number but after 2 weeks of not picking it up through my insurance claim they call my emergency contact? Please make it make sense! This place seems super ghetto and very unprofessional. Quest, at the 14455 Potomac Mills Rd location, was one of only two people working on a very busy Saturday before the July 4th weekend. Quest was quick, professional, and also apologetic for the wait. As we left, he said, enjoy your trip. He was clearly going as fast as he could. I made a reservation to pick up my rental car on 01/15/25. While waiting for my vehicle I noticed that another person came into the rental branch and got their rental vehicle right away. I asked the customer service person at the desk where was my vehicle. I was told the vehicle was being cleaned. When I got my vehicle, it was not cleaned, it had stains on the driver and back seats. There was some stick stuff in the middle console cup holder. When I drove off the oil check engine light came on. I took pictures of the oil light and how dirty the vehicle was on the outside as well as the inside. When I brought the vehicle back on 01/17/25, The two employees at the desk didn't ask me if I was satisfied with the vehicle. I asked to speak to a manager and one of the employees on the desk said he was a manager. I showed him the pictures of the vehicle and he said someone didn't rest the oil light in the vehicle. He also said the vehicle should have been cleaned on the inside. He said I can only get 15% off my bill. I was told I will get the updated bill in my email. I didn't receive a bill in my email, so I called and spoke to someone stating that I would receive an updated bill by the end of the day. I had to call again on 01/18/25 to find out what happed to my bill. I was then told my bill will be on its way. The customer service at the car rental branch is awful, when I called someone pick up the phone and said hello instead of Enterprise can I help you. It was like they were getting a call from a old friend. I would not recommend going this Enterprise Branch. read more

We had a tight connection and asked if a car would be available soon. We got a snotty reply that she did not know. Very poor example of leadership and management. This Enterprise needs adult supervision. Cars are promised-then you come and wait half hours, while teenies slowly scrub cars out back. Car you thought was yours, given to other people. Jokers with strange accents come and wail about their maxed-out credit cards. When I came the girl took me out to 'GIVE YOU A CHOICE' then makes a deal with a cat-lady that SHE can have my car. The Enterprise sales agent was named Mike. The sales agent exemplified the characteristics of a used car salesman. He was overbearing, unusually nosey and down right pushy. He was determined to pressure me through fear to add on any and everything. He spent 30 minutes correcting the mistakes he made during the process of adding on unnecessary options. He finally was able to remove road side assistance, an extra day, fuel service option, so I thought. I had to write my initials on three separate invoices until I believed Mike got it right, but later learned he didn't remove the Fuel Service option charge. They use a handheld device that doesn't allow you to see the charges as you are initialing and/or signing, check carefully because apparently any errors or overcharges will be passed to the customer. The stipulation on the fuel service option charge is if the customer purchases a one time full tank fuel charge of $72.54, they can return the vehicle with any amount of gas in it, even empty. I declined the option because I felt I could spend less than $72.54 on my trip. I was wrong and paid about $87.00 in gas on my trip and should have purchased the fuel option because I ultimately paid more to bring the vehicle back full. Let me explain. The next day, Friday, April 15th that I noticed the incorrect charge. I immediately contacted the manager Saturday to alert Hannah of the error. She stated she would need to verify the transaction with the sales person, Mike, before she'd take any action. She said Mike wouldn't be available until Monday, April 18th. I waited until Wednesday the 20th, and called Hannah again, only for her to claim she hasn't spoken to Mike. The original date of my complaint was 4/15/22 and as of today, 5/8/22, I have not heard from the manager, Hannah or the leasing company. Therefore, I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and I'm sharing this with other customers. Enterprise leasing is claiming I purchased the $72.54 fuel service option, then I was kind enough to purchase an additional $86.99 in fuel on my trip then turn the vehicle in completely full of fuel. I have my receipts to prove I purchased the gas along my route to and fro, plus a full tank on the return. What is wrong with a company admitting a simple mistake was made versus insulting the integrity of a customer, who by the way will never lease from that Enterprise location again. Renter Beware, of the deceitfulness of the agent, Steve and the complicity of his deceitful cohort and manager, Hannah. This is stealing, plain and simple Enterprise Leasing leadership. read more

Enterprise has thee worst customer service. I had to call back four times to get three reservations straight. Yes I said three. I use them often because of my company but the service is bad. They never have a resolution for you when you express a concern and there is no attempts made to retain a customer. Maybe posting a public complaint will improve service. The staff at this Enterprise location was very friendly and efficient. My oversized vehicle was ready on time and I was in and out super fast. The vehicle was in great condition. I returned the van after hours in the drop box and later realized that I had lost my prescription glasses. I called first thing the next morning and the lady who answered immediately went outside in the freezing temps to check for me. Luckily she found it and I was able to pick them up. I must agree with Shannon I.'s review. They did not resolve my concern about sticker residue on the windshield and doors of the car I rented. When I returned my rental for the week, I witnessed an ugly refusal of service to a man who said the price quoted on the internet was different from the price the clerk, Wendy, gave him when he arrived to pick up his reserved car. She would not explain the price difference and told him there were no cars available despite the fact that he had a reservation. He had said the price difference was bullshit. It was 10 or 15 minutes before closing time and a friend was waiting out front in a van for the two clerks left at the location. Rather than give me a ride home a clerk called a lyft for me. Unfortunately, I received the worst customer service today and I'm beyond upset, disappointed, and inconvenienced due to this terrible experience at the Potomac Mills location in Woodbridge, VA. I had a confirmation of a reservation, only to walk into just poor customer service. There was a discrepancy in rates compared to my confirmation and they had NO inventory. On top of that, it was clear the branch manager needed more training on the system because he couldn't print me out a receipt of a voided transaction. I just kept hearing excuses vs. solutions. I even tried calling customer service/corporate, only to be given the run around with two agents. The agents there do not understand customer service, and there were no attempts to understand a customer's needs. I just got blank stares and a take it or leave it attitude. Nice guys, but unprofessional. Ended up being stranded in Woodbridge with no car. Worst enterprise experience. After the last two run ins with enterprise, it's probably time to start looking at other rental car companies. read more

BEWARE if you need to modify your rental period! You cannot do this online. (Why not??) Unless you drive to the Enterprise location, the task will require a phone conversation. Even though the original receipt was emailed to you, you won't automatically get a new accounting to review. In my case the original rental period was 1 week (Fri-Fri afternoon). My mechanic notified me that an extra day would be required to complete repairs on my own vehicle. Since I didn't know the exact time it could be retrieved on Saturday, or whether there might be an additional delay, I considered extending the term of my Enterprise rental. Not possible to do the modification online for this store, the customer is directed to call them. When I did so I requested the weekend rate. I was told I already had the weekly rate and replied that I just wanted to extend for the weekend and wanted the weekend rate (citing that it was advertised as either 11- or 12- something per day). There was a fair amount of background talk on the store end, but I distinctly heard the agent state that forty-four dollars [and some cents] would be applied from the deposit they put on my car at the beginning. When the call ended I thought all was well and expected an email with updated charges. Since the updated charges email never came I asked for a printout when the rental car was returned. I was charged $171 instead of $44 for the extra days. When I objected I was informed that they do not offer a weekend rate at this location. I told them if I'd been advised of that high a price I'd have returned their vehicle and simply Ubered for a day. The manager offered a 1 day refund, but that still leaves me paying more than $100 over what I expected. Not satisfactory. This is the second time in my experience that this Enterprise store has deviated from published corporate policy/rates. On the recent issue, had I been able to modify online for this location, the rates I was being charged for it might have been clear. Instead, I had nothing to look at until after the car was returned to Enterprise and they'd already taken extra money. read more

I will never return to this location. Came once. Service was beyond slow but the agent was nice. Needed a car for a work related task and decided to return to this location. Big mistake. My reservation was on a Tuesday at 5:30 pm for an intermediate. A rep called Monday to confirm. A rep called again on Tuesday afternoon to tell me they may have to give me a van because they didn't have any cars. But he guarantedd me I'd have a car. I quote (because I still have the voicemail and, thanks to iPhone, a transcript of the call) he said, "...but again I just wanted to let you know that we will have a vehicle for you for sure just wanted to give you heads up what our situation was currently". I arrive at 5:30 and he tells me he is sold out. All of the local enterprise centers close at 6. I told him I had a reservation. He looks confused until he checks the computer and said, "oh yeah I called you." I told him about his guarantee and he says that he would've called around 2p to tell me they had no cars. Mysteriously I don't have any record of that call. Why would you leave a message guaranteeing me a car but not leave one to tell me there are no cars (assuming he actually called)? I had to call enterprise and luckily the location on Dale Blvd helped me out 5 mins before they were closing. I don't know if I'll ever return to any Enterprise (I'm still waiting for them to follow up on a few issues) but if I must and I'm in Woodbridge...it'll be to see the guys at Dale Blvd. read more

Wrote a review and ready to submit, it disappeared! So this is going to be the shorten version. Just made the "Pick Up" time. Never heard of that before. $100 deposit for a "Out of State" license. Never happened in my previous rentals with Enterprise. What I would call "intimidating" sales pitch for their insurance. 2016 Dodge Dart with high mileage for a rental car, low power and dirty, inside & outside. Every time we got in, we were looking at footprints on the windshield and stains on the fabric. Then the oil leak and on the final day, tire pressure. This was not a hassle free rental Enterprise. Horrible experience I made a reservation for 12pm and nobody told me or took the time to explained that if you don't arrive at the exact time they cancel your reservation, they didn't even check with me I got to the location and not until then I found out about the cancellation. Our car broke down on our vacation down to Virginia, so we needed somewhere to rent a car. We called around the different Enterprises in the area and were told that this one had a Chevy (we needed a General Motors car in order to get insurance reimbursement for our car). We were told this location had a Chevy we could rent so we came and paid. However, when we were brought our car, it was not a Chevy. We told the lady up front that we needed a Chevy and she told us she gave the last one away. She was very unpleasant and rude toward us and was generally unhelpful. The guys are reallllllly nice. The only reason I'm giving this 3 start rating is because of the confusion with the price at the end. When I came in I asked how much it would be to have the car I rented for a week, they told me. However when I went to return the car it was $200 more than what they quoted me. They said it was because of the insurance I added to the car. So heed my advice when I say ask them the TOTAL amount your rental will be, with all extras included. My original quote was around $350 & when I returned it, it was nearly $600! Insane right? Again, I don't blame the employees because the company probably tells them to trick people in that way. Another thing I tell you to look out for is if you're going to rent a car watch your days. I rented mine on a Thursday, returned it on the following Friday & somehow that equals 10 days? Really weird, kind of strange but all in all the car I had was awesome & like I said the employees are really nice. Just look out for how you're being charged. read more

The last thing I want to do is sit down and write a review but service was that bad. It begins with a disheveled slob with a smirk telling me that no vehicles are available (this after standing in a line for a quarter hour). As I'm about to turn and walk out, one of the other workers says they do in fact have a vehicle, a four cylinder tacoma. It'll do, I tell the guy I'll take it. He seems almost disappointed at having to work (I understand it's getting near to closing). Next he tells me that it'll be a hundred bucks a day. Now this strikes me as weird because one month earlier I rented an SUV for something like 28 dollars a day. He says well it's the "July 4th Weekend." I guess this means that price gouging is a company policy. I definitely felt like they were trying to rip me off. I declined and walked out the door but the entire interaction left a bitter taste. If in the future I find an alternative to Enterprise I'm going to jump on it. My advice is to be careful here, my experience is they are predatory and shady. read more

Vehicle was not ready for pick up at reserved time. I waited 45 minutes for the vehicle to be cleaned. Vehicle was still dirty; coffee spills in the cup holders between the seats. The gentleman checking me out disappeared for 20 minutes without explanation. As a result of the delay, I did not have time to allow the staff to reclean the vehicle. Most horrific experience ever. Had multiple issues with car. Dealt with 4 different enterprise locations, no one seemed interested in helping. Spoke to 3 local store employees, 2 customer service representatives, sent 2 emails, and FILED a formal complaint at the head quarters just wanting to elaborate on my beautiful trip that they ruined. And after all of that I didn't even get a simple " we're sorry for your experience" feedback. Everyone 'takes' down the number and never calls you back. Not 1 person, including the corporate formal complaint filer. Who claims that it is her job to do so, and that someone will call back as soon as possible.
