I had the rat problem. After reaching several pest control companies, I decided to have Jerry to take care it. Jerry is very professional to analyze the environment situation to acquire the information he needed. After checking my yard, he easily figured out that the rats are overpopulated under the deck in my neighbor yard and some rat came in my house through the AC tube. At the same time, my home is close to the storm sewer, which could be the highway for rats. He left the video recorders in my 2 attics to capture how much activities the rats had, and I saw those rats in my attics when we pulled out the record. He put rat stations outside of my house, and those stations really worked. Also, Jerry is very knowledgeable on animals. As far as I know, he published articles on the journals. Please don't go to any other pest control company in Austin before you speak with Jerry. Seriously. You'll just be wasting your money and time. I went through four (yes, you read that correctly - FOUR) pest control companies over two months trying to figure out what the heck was going on in my apartment. None of them could tell me anything definitive. Only one of them bothered to do even a semi-thorough inspection, during which he found "nothing" but offered to treat my apartment anyway "if I wanted". At that point I was ready to try anything, so I agreed. One month and $350 later, I was still having exactly the same issues as before they treated. I was at my wit's end. I knew something was going on, but no one could tell me what it was or how I could put a stop to it. As I was preparing to bring in a fifth (!) company, I found Entomobiotics on Yelp. Jerry is a veritable saint. I called him and he asked me a series of very detailed questions (and put up with me bursting into tears on the phone as I explained my saga. I'm completely serious about my desperation at this point). He then came to my apartment and spent two hours collecting various specimens from around the place, putting each of them under his microscope, and showing me the resulting images while explaining what each one was in detail. It was a very gross - but very cool - entomology lesson. This man gave me back my sanity. He gave me all the information about what could be causing my problems based on what he found, and told me what my options were for solving them. I checked out the website for these people and was seriously impressed. They really knew what they were about. We have the evil bed bugs. The parting gift of a neighbor who will be missed (if he's able get out of the line of fire). But I've no doubt they would do the job and do it well. I've no doubt whatsoever. You could see that if he Found a bug. But in order to eradicate them it was going to take the amount of work that it would've taken if we were moving. And we can't afford it right now. It would decimate our rainy day fund. But if we can budget that up, we'll call him back to take them out. In the meantime, we are keeping them at bay by making sure to clean the clothes often, and we had the foresight to buy a washer with a steam setting. Also I have a Shark steamer, that I've had for years, and I use it about 2wice a week on the couch and recliner. It'll have to work for the time being. read more

When I come across too many 5 star reviews for a business, I get suspicious about the business if a robot is hired to make up those stories. Then I talked to Jerry and understood why people are raving about Entomobiotics. I saw insects with wings in our bath room. I was worried if they are termites and what damage they could have done behind the walls. Jerry listened then explained patiently the differences between termites and ants. He directed me to take a picture and share. Luckily I found a dead one with wings in corner of bath tub. He looked at it and said they are ants. He explained right way of applying Ant poison around the house. I wasn't aware till then whatever I was doing was ineffective. He didn't charge me for his time. I'd just like to echo all of the reviews here. I have NEVER received service like this before...and I haven't yet paid Jerry or had him come to the house. I was getting mysterious bits all over my torso, but hadn't seen any evidence of actual bugs...so I called Jerry. Jerry listened and helped my sort through the mass hysteria internet searches can cause. He is incredibly intelligent, knowledgeable, and experienced. He sent me an article he had written, which - for all intents and purposes - could be a published medical journal entry. After months of getting super itchy "bites," I was at my wit's end after having had my house checked for bed bugs, fleas and other pests without any sign of an infestation. After taking with Jerry for about 30 minutes on the phone, he said it sounded like I had a carpet beetle allergy. After looking up a picture of them, I had totally seen 2-3 harmless looking larvae in the drawer of an antique nightstand I had purchased a few months prior and thought nothing of it. He refused payment for his help and advised me to vacuum my whole place and wipe down the surfaces with microfiber cloths. After several weeks of doing this I am itch free. First of all, if you're looking at this review, then you probably have bedbugs. And if you have bedbugs, DON'T BE ASHAMED. They are disgusting and pernicious, but they are astonishingly universal. You can get them in the very best hotels in the world. It doesn't reflect on anything if you have them. Granted, you may not want to tell your friends all about it, but if you do have them by ALL means, get over your embarrassment and CALL someone. And the first person you should call is Jerry! Let me tell you that Entomobiotics is the BEST. Holy COW. It's been about a year now... My ex goes all over the country doing sales, and I go on ONE lousy trip to Santa Fe, to a very nice hotel, for an academic conference, and what do I come home with? You guessed it. But I didn't know it for about six months. When my little kid, who was sleeping in my bed after a nightmare, woke me up saying Daddy, you have bugs in your bed. I said NO WAY. Sure enough.... Yikes. I just about lost it. I very sheepishly called my dear uncle, who has rental properties here in town, and asked for his help. He quietly came over with some stuff he bought at Callahans and we covered the entire place top to bottom. He assured me we were good and not to worry. The VERY next day. YIKES all over again. Somehow I found Jerry. I think he was recommended as the best by another pest control company that said they don't even touch bedbugs. Too nasty. I called him immediately. Sure enough, a few days later, this tall older guy in clean pressed white shirt, khakis and a cowboy hat shows up. It's Jerry. He goes in and takes over. Holy Cow did I have a problem. I had no idea what lived under those mattresses. I still shudder about the mess of crawling little black ... YICCCHHHH. Anyway, he wound up treating two rooms, mine and my daughters, for what I thought was a good price, but honestly, I'd have paid ANYTHING to get this mess cleaned up. He even asked me to not help because I have a history of asthma (from when I was a kid, not even lately) and said it would be better if I wasn't in the room because of that. He did everything and all I did was wait in my living room. About an hour later, he was done. I slept in the living room that night but the next night I went to my bed and lo and behold, nothing. No bugs. The next night? No bugs. The next night? No bugs. Gone. About two weeks later, I found one and called him. He came over and checked the place out and saw nothing, but still gave a supplemental treatment to both rooms for another very good price, if not for free, I don't even recall. Since then, nothing. N.O.T.H.I.N.G. I can't tell you what a nightmare that bug business was. I still have bad, ugly, not good dreams about it. But listen. TRUST JERRY on this. Callahan's as a store is among the best, but that stuff is just NO GOOD. In fairness too, the Callahan's guys warned me, saying that this stuff probably won't work, but it's the best they had. Honestly, these bugs are crazy bad and they get into every nook and cranny if given the opportunity. These little bastards are SURVIVORS. Like Mad Max survivors. And for Mad Max survivors, you NEED professional help, Trust a pro. Jerry is the best. He even calls once in awhile to check on how things are going. And guess what, when my uncle got a bedbug problem himself, I told him about Jerry. No Callahans this time. And no bugs anymore either. Jerry is amazing, I had the best experience with him. He's the reason my management company is finally fixing the exterior of my place. He is extremely knowledgable, thorough, friendly, and actually seems to truly care about his customers. He even took the time to follow up multiple times with me after the treatment was done just make sure I was comfortable and the management company was going to fix the larger issues, even though he had no real reason to. I didn't have bedbugs, but I had something that might be even worse: mites. They are very similar to bedbugs in the symptoms and annoyance. According to Jerry I had 4 species of rat and bird mites that also feed on humans. I woke up itchy and with bites on my body for a few days and had reached out to my management company to help me take of the problem. They were quick to think they were bedbugs without even inspecting the place and weren't very helpful. I did my research and realized they were probably mites and contacted Jerry so he could help me diagnose and identify them. He came within a day on short notice and was super helpful. It was even quite fun as he has this cool suitcase microscope with him to look at the specimens and I enjoyed helping collect the tiny little critters from the floor. I felt like I was in high school science class all over again. By the next day I had a full report from him identifying the bugs as mites, which helped immensely in my case with my management. Within a few days he was at my place spraying miticide and I haven't had any problems ever since. With that report and information, I was able to have them pay for everything and even remodel the exterior in order to address the problems with the structure of the building allowing for all sorts of rodents and birds to live in the foundation. Jerry was very nice. We had a rattlesnake give us a good warning in our garage. Jerry asked us first if we got any pictures to spare us the expense of him coming out if it is just a rat snake. We didn't, but we were pretty sure as we got a good look at the snake, heard the rattle, and the snake made a pretty good show of its tail. We had SO much trouble getting anyone out before we called him. Animal control doesn't help. Other people want monthly contracts for a year and very high fees before they even look. We called one place and they never called back. The whole time the snake just lived in our garage as it had for who knows how long. Jerry came out and we found it hiding very well! RIGHT BY THE DOOR TO THE HOUSE where all our legs had been at some point! Anyway he caught it and helped us set some traps for mice since that is likely what brought the snake. He let us have a look at it and sent us some pictures of our snake too! All in all very satisfied. He came out when he was scheduled to and did what it seems like no one else was willing to... just catch the snake. I've lived around here a long time and am used to them being around (wear good boots when you hike) but I didn't want anyone to risk getting a bite as they are nasty and can leave you disfigured at best. Jerry is a savior! I was worried that I had bed bugs after seeing what appeared to be blood spots on my sheets, so I went out and purchased a mattress/pillowcase covers as well as interceptors for the bed frame. A few weeks later, I spotted two tiny bugs in the interceptors, and my worst fears had been realized. I took photos and videos, and contacted Jerry over the phone. After only 5 minutes he had called me back and told me that the bugs I caught in the interceptors were actually booklice/barklice, and not the dreaded bed bugs. In my relief, I didn't even offer to pay him for his service, but judging from the reviews here, he likely would not have taken any sort of compensation in any case. I was in my garage at around 10:00pm on a Sunday. I heard something move under my work bench and I thought it was probably a mouse... Until I heard the warning rattle and saw the coiled up scales. This rattle snake was at least 3 ft long and clearly had been eating good. I called Jerry and he was at my house in 20 minutes. He had the snake contained in under 10 mins.
