Very poor experience with EnviroGuard of Austin/Round Rock: I was Solicited by a door-to-door salesman that promised me a Specific Service, (treating the newly sodded area of my yard with a granular product to kill fire ants, June Bugs and Scorpions.) he could not stop bragging about how EnviroGuard is a small Family Run business with way better attention to details and customer service than the competition... He Fast Talked a Very Deceiving Cost Argument of ONLY $89 per month. But AS I WAS READY TO SIGN on the dotted line, he told me that they only treat SIX Times a Year, But I pay monthly. So Nothing is $89 per month, it is $178 PER treatment, six times a year. With the tax man, it is $193. THEN he tells me it is a contract for TWO YEARS!!! Note, the above specifics were only communicated at the very end of a 20 minute conversation. I told him to forget it, there is no way I'm signing up for Two Years. He immediately countered with One Year, which I reluctantly agreed to based on our discussion and HIS PROMISE to treat the entire property with the granular product as well as treating for wasps, bees, etc. on the property. He said I could cancel prior to the one-year term but that I would be charged a $211 cancellation fee which was equal to what I totally expect was a BOGUS salesman's discount. That I was SUPPOSEDLY getting for signing up today. For those interested, here are the nitty gritty details of my experience. Jack H strolled up on a segue, going door to door and sold me on the concept of spreading a granular product on the entire lawn to kill fire ants, June Bugs & Scorpions. All of which I was experiencing. So I held off on watering my NEWLY sodded lawn (that I just spent $4,500 to have installed) until they spread the granular later that day. Within an hour he was able to schedule someone to come and treat, as discussed, but I instructed him to only have them do the newly sodded portion FOR NOW that I had roped off from my dog. And that I would reschedule to have the rest of the property treated when it was more convenient to have my dog away from the house. When the young lady showed up and I spoke to her about spreading the granular, she pulled out a SMALL spackle bucket partially filled with maybe ten handfuls of granular pest food/killer. When asked about using a traditional lawn fertilizer spreader, she did not have one so she could only treat a very small portion of the property. (not what I contracted for or expected) She was however very polite and sweet so I didn't want to make an issue of it, I just figured I would call back and get someone with a spreader, in a week or two. When I called to reschedule, I very clearly explained to the Customer Service person on the phone the type of total lawn treatment I was originally promised and Very Specifically asked her to make sure the person they assign on my follow up treatment has a traditional lawn spreader to treat the whole property. She said she put notes in the system and all is well. When the person showed up, they had No Spreader or ANY knowledge of my request. He was also very nice and polite and explained to me that "only managers have spreaders" So I had him treat various areas of the property with some other options he offered me and told him I would call back, YET AGAIN, ask for a Manager to be assigned and to make sure they bring a Spreader. After a very rainy week, I cut the lawn and promptly called up and spoke to either the same young customer service woman or perhaps someone else who sounded very young and admittedly knew very little about any pest control details other than what times she had open for my next treatment. I did my best to very explicitly explain what I was looking for and that a Manager should show up with a Spreader to treat my ENTIRE property with the granular product. At first she said a Manager wasn't available for two weeks but then found me a late afternoon appointment in two days. On the day of the appointment, I rushed back from a job I was on to make sure I was there when the Manager showed up with his spreader. When the NON MGR gentleman showed up, I asked him if he brought his spreader and the answer was NO. He said his manager mentioned something to him and then went into what "I am Calling" a long, convoluted explanation on how that is not how EnviroGuard approaches treatment for pests. (Even though that is specifically what I discussed with the salesman and was the only reason I signed up) I won't get into the details, which doesn't matter. And for the record, he too was nice and polite, none of this is bashing their service technicians. After THREE failed attempts to get the service I was sold and paid for, I called and canceled my contract and was charged the initial bogus $211 discount that they initially gave me. Professional Review of EnviroGuard Pest Control - Austin, TX Location I am compelled to share my experience with EnviroGuard Pest Control, where my family has been a client since April 2025, in order to alert both the company and potential clients. According to our contract, routine pest control services are provided year-round except for February, November, and December. The remaining months--January, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, and October--are scheduled service months. Despite this clear agreement, we did not receive services in October 2025 or January 2026, yet we were still billed. This represents a clear breach of the service schedule and unjust billing for services not rendered. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to resolve this issue through customer service, we were finally put in contact with Amy, the manager of the Austin, TX location. Unfortunately, her conduct demonstrated a troubling lack of professionalism and familiarity with the very contract she is responsible for enforcing. Her responses suggested that she either did not read or did not understand the contract terms, despite repeatedly referencing it. During the call, Amy interrupted my spouse repeatedly, refused to allow him to speak, and stated: "You should have been adult and read the contract." This remark was not only inappropriate but ironic, given that her own actions contradicted the written agreement. She proceeded to terminate the call five separate times, behavior wholly inconsistent with professional conflict resolution or managerial standards. The situation escalated further when Amy unilaterally canceled our subscription without authorization, in direct violation of the contract, which explicitly states: "EnviroGuard Pest Control LLC must speak via phone call with the account owner before making any changes to the account or before canceling any subscriptions." This unauthorized cancellation triggered an additional cancellation fee, compounding the breach. Amy also aggressively suggested that we "get lawyers involved" and claimed the company would pursue legal action against us--an alarming and unnecessary escalation. We possess Ring doorbell footage confirming that services were not performed during the months billed. Based on documented evidence, EnviroGuard is accountable for:     *    Breach of service schedule     *    Unjust billing for services not rendered     *    Unauthorized cancellation of subscription     *    Improper and unprofessional managerial conduct In conclusion, potential clients should exercise caution before entering into a contract with EnviroGuard Pest Control. Professional service requires not only honoring contractual obligations but also ensuring that management understands and follows those agreements while treating customers with respect. EnviroGuard, if you are serious about retaining clients and maintaining credibility, this situation warrants immediate review. At first I had another pest control company that had hookups installed during construction. Although they were friendly and knowledgeable, I found myself calling every week as the treatment seemed ineffective. A salesman from Enviroguard stopped by randomly and gave me "the pitch". (entire yard spray, higher concentration, specific targeting, etc) He seemed knowledgeable and they had a team ready to roll later that day. I decided to give them a chance to win my business. I have now been with Enviroguard for over a year, and couldn't be happier. The guys that come to do the work really know what they are doing. They do a great job with knockdowns, spray coverage, and overall attention to detail. Very good about keeping things neat inside and out. Even when I look around before they visit, I still manage to miss something they find and take care of. The part that stands out to me the most is actually when I am not home for outside service visits. I have a number of cameras up around my property, and I can review the majority of work afterworks or remotely. These guys are true professionals through and through and won't slack off just because noone is there to watch them. If I had to hit them for anything, it would be the delay in service availability now vs when we first signed up. I attribute this to some growing pains, which just means the company is doing well and growing a customer base by providing a great service. Sometimes we can get on the schedule a few days out, other times it might be two weeks. But it has never been anything unreasonable. I give this company no stars. I am not surprised of all the bad reviews. I know with all reviews you have good ones and bad ones, but seeing the overall is bad is more proof that I am going to go to the Texas Board of Pest Control for their practices. Like some of the other reviews, the technicians were okay but trying to take money when you are not satisfied with the services is unreal. I had two houses, and one of the house the pests got worse. I always say I wanted them to spray inside and outside, I was constantly told if they spray outside the inside is not needed and I would have to call for a follow-up for them to spray inside. I thought I was the customer. It got so bad that bugs were coming out of the wall sockets. I asked about sterilization of the bugs, I was told I was going to have to pay extra. I had to have another company come, and within one visit they got rid of the problem. I tried to work with them, but to no avail, I am being told I had to pay a cancelation fee, so I tell them to come service my account and they said they can't because my account is frozen. I asked for the owners name, they said they dont' know and they will call me back. I don't hear from them, but then they try to take the money from my account. Solomon was efficient and professional. He listened to my complaints about how the previous 2 techs didn't seem to have done much. Solomon not only listened but stopped to explain each spraying he was doing so that I may be aware of the work he had completed. IE: sprayed garage AND found the wasp mound I had mentioned to him. (I think he said it was actually a mud-sucker) Something like that. I told him about some strange bug in my bathroom. He attended to that. However on this point, by same evening, those bugs were coming back. NOT his fault though. Maybe the chemical ya'll use isn't that good. ??? He also sprayed around outside over hangs cause I had mentioned seeing wasps but that I couldn't find a nest. So my point is, I only know these things were done/completed cause he pointed them out to me. Great Job young man. Now if the chemical will work, that would be great. 81.19 is too much money if it still doesn't get rid of spiders, sink bugs, wasps, etc. Thanks for trying Solomon. We'll see about the actual chemical in a week or so. Please note, previous guys did listen as well but didn't seem to stop any of the bug problems we spoke about. Met Stuart today while he was working in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, I'm already locked in with another company for 8 months. When my current contrat runs up, I will switch to EnviroGuard. I interview 30-50 potential employees per month. I would hire this guy to work for me on personality alone. In my 20 minute conversation with Stuart he never bad mouthed his competition. He actually had good things to say about the current company I use. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems that the products these companies use cant be that different. So why not go with a local family owned start-up that with no doubt is focused on providing the best service they possibly can. You hear it all the time, "Everything is big in TX". Guess what? So are the insects. Since you need the service anyways, I recommend giving these guys a shot, I know I will. read more

I have used EnviroGuard Pest Control for years and the service keeps getting better and better! Steven Martin, San Antonio Office is a true Professional! He educates you on the sprays, insecticides and what to observe around your house.. I have a small dog and Steve was very accommodating and took extra care to insure my dog was protected from the insect/pest spays he used.. Steve is a huge reason I'll keep EnviroGuard as my Pest Control Company! EnviroGuard's customer followup and responsiveness is far better than I've experienced with other companies. I was skeptical of signing up for pest control service in our new home, because I thought I could treat it myself. Tyler lured me in and I'm glad I have them on my side fighting pests! Customer service is top notch and will recommend them to all my family and friends! In fact, my parents signed up with them that same day we did! We've had an infestation of springtails in and around our home, however David came out on a free curtsey call and after the initial follow up appointment we have not seen one single springtail to date. Enviroguard did a door sales pitch to me that I just couldn't refuse after calling their competition and finding out it would be over $200 just to get the service started with their competitor. The technical Cameron came out and did our first service last week, he was very informative and explained everything in great detail. I also like how they treat the entire yard, which I'm sure helps with mosquitos, fleas, and ticks for our little dog. Their pest control is kid and pet friendly which I appreciate. The tech even pointed out that we have gaps in our door, and we have a brand new home! So we can point that out to the builder so they can fix them and stop letting the bugs in, thanks Cameron! read more

I liked this company from the start, I get several knocks on the door about pest control and had thought about going with another company but wasn't super excited that they weren't local. Blake from Enviro-Guard was friendly, informative, and excited about his local company. The service techs the next day were on time, friendly, and thorough. All information is given to you verbally, and online and everything was quick, effective, and easy. I'm happy that they use EPA approved treatment since I like a lot of the wildlife around me and don't want to harm them, or my pets. They also have very competitive pricing plans. Tommy Seelis is a very awesome employee you guys have there he ready takes his time and effort to care take of your home, and yard from insects! He ready takes the time to explain to what you have going with the insects, how they migrate and how they surface into your home and what to do if to eliminate them. But I won't have that problem cause he has bascially took care of that for me and the family. Enviroguard has been to my home multiple times but none the other employees completed the job correctly like Tommy has. Mr. Venecia was very thorough, friendly, professional and was here for a long time making sure that he got everything done. He explained everything about what he was going to do, then did it. He asked me if I had any questions or issues, and I told him one of my target bugs, so he put down some granules in the beds, sprayed the entire yard targeting fleas and other pests, and overall was just a really nice guy. He handled everything professionally and I was never, ever uncomfortable about allowing him into the house to complete the service... A very friendly lady named Sam came by and sprayed the house, not only did she have a great attitude, she didn't say anything about the weekend mess built up by the kids that I hadn't gotten to yet! She was very patient with me as in regards to finding a payment method and if the payment method didn't work out the company would can always get a different method or card on file for their client. She informed me of any nests that in the yard, house, or garage and she even told me when to next expect her or another associate of the company. I told him we had been having some areas of fire ants and he said he would look for them and take them out. Today i had my initial appointment was at 11am, let me say Luke was very professional when he showed up. Did everything that was listed that Mckay had spoken to me about last week. Both showed a real concern about my main pest issues and were knowledgeable about my question I had, answered them easily and with no hesitation. Other pest control companies I have dealt with in the past were really not personable, Luke and Mckay were very aces and so far all good things that have been said in Ventura Heights all have been awesome.
